Lenovo m10 tablet

Q: Lenovo m10 tablet

Hi, I have a family member who has a Lenovo M10 Tablet that will not connect to wifi. It was working as well as a Lenovo tablet will work up until an update over the weekend. Everthing apart from the connection is working. All other devices connect to the modem so the tablet is the only issue. I tried to connect from hotspotting but that also didnt work so confirmed it's the tablet. It will save the connection but go no further. I cannot find an answer but did find a few of the same complaints online. As nothing of note is saved on this tablet i have done a factory reset but still nothing. Any ideas please?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

So I was on http://www.newegg.com today and I was looking into buying a tablet PC for myself.

I looked at HP, Fujitsu, and Lenovo (Formerly IBM).
I remembered seeing that the new Lenovo tablet PCs have wacom based pens and tablet features. I was pleasantly suprised because as everyone knows, Wacom is renound for all tablet like things for artists or anyone else who wants a pen-top interface.

But on newegg it doesn't specify which Lenovo computers have the wacom based tablets...

My question, is are all the ThinkPad X Series X61t ones wacom based? Or only some of them? I was wondering if anyone knew. (Newegg and other places won't seem to tell me...)
(I was looking specifically at the ThinkPad X Series X61t (776796U) model, as it has a higher resolution screen.)

Hello guys.I bought recently a used Lenovo X1 tablet 1st gen (20GG) which seems to have the common problem related to using Bttery Gauge Reset, which basically means the tablet works only on AC power, not on battery.Battery condition is reported as good, and as i browsed the forum i found out that the way to solve the problem is by replacing the mosfet transistor which gets burnt while using the battery gauge reset.Like in this thread https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/forums/v3_1/forumtopicpage/board-id/ll04_en/thread-id/77760/page/1 My question is if someone could tell me where exactly would be the Mosfets located on X1 motherboard and what type are they so i can find some and replace it. Thank You

My Lenovo X200 has been making some unusual noises and is slower than a snail, and I am worried that the drive is going to start crashing. The OS is Vista Business 32 Bit. Based on what I found online, the procedure goes something like this...

Remove screw on side
Use pull tab to remove disk
and to put it back-

Slide back in
Replace screw

This is suspiciously easy - wouldn't there be a cable involved somewhere? The hard drive in the videos appeared to have dots on it, so I think it is a metal bracket with circular dots - is it? I read that the maximum is 500GB because any higher than that is thicker - is that right? Finally, could an SSD be used without having to load any drivers to install vista from the set of 3 OEM discs? Even with a normal HDD, would I need drivers?

Please can any one help me how to solve this problems, I fail to get to the automatic repair or diagnostic test and repair. Please I need your help.

I have a lenovo X61 tablet that I have purchased the extra battery for (the external one that mounts on the ultrabay connector).  This was working, but after upgrade to Windows 7, battery 2 (the external battery) gives an error. After getting a new battery from lenovo (old one under warranty), it does the same thing. Tech support is trying to look at this as a hardware problem, personally I think it is a software problem. Puttling laptop on X6 tablet ultrabase continues to work, it's just the battery. Ideas? contact me if you have one of these batteries and are running windows 7, I would love to compare notes. Hey Lenovo, how about getting your tech guys to actually understand what the differences in your batteries is?

A:Lenovo X61 tablet with external battery

I too have the X61 with two external batteries. I get the error Battery 2:The has failed due to normal wear and can not be charged. I "assume" I get the same error with the external charger as the charge lite flashes slowly for a couple of seconds then starts flashing fast instead of remaining steady on and changing to green when charged. Anyone know what this error really means besides it is broke and needs replacement.

I have a Lenovo X61 tablet PC model 7767 B7U running Windows VISTA business.

I first brought one about 3 and a half months ago. It would lock up and occasionally get blue screens. I called their tech support, ran a HD scan which turned up good, downloaded all necessary drivers, still did not fix the problem. So I sent it in for repairs. The problem persisted, and I sent it in another two times. The problem persisted, after a Hard Drive, System board and memory replacement. I exercised my warranty to get it replaced.

Guess what? The new one has the exact same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do, because I just don?t understand!

A description of the problem: The cursor will simply turn into that little blue circle and the program (internet browser, Microsoft Word, etc?.) will simply cease to respond. If I click on another program, I will be able to move in it for about 2 seconds until the pointer becomes the blue circle again and then it will stop responding.
One time, I had task manager open when this was happening. I noticed no memory spikes or anything. There were 3 different programs running, each one stopped responding as soon as I clicked on it.
I cannot figure out a common variable with these freeze ups, they occur whether I?m on the internet or not, whether I?m using Microsoft Word or Powerpoint, whether I?m in Tablet mode or not, etc?.
The freeze ups occur anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 and a half hours.

Hi Trent,

I have had the same problems you mentioned, and have been unable to determine a common denominator for when my computer decides to freeze up. Even if I leave the computer alone for a couple of hours, it is still frozen when I come back and I have to manually restart the computer by pressing and holding the power button. The problem has gotten worse in the past couple of months, and I sometimes have to manually shut off my computer a couple of times a day.

I'd love to know if you or anyone else has found a solution.

Thanks,

Hi, I recently bought a Lenovo Flex 5 from Costco in the summer of 2017 right before college. Since then, for a while now, it has a couple key issues. 1. My battery life is basically <2 hours on low power mode and 90% brightness, I basically always have to keep my laptop plugged in to use it.2. The fan on my laptop spins randomly and frequently and I don't think I have any high demanding applications running.3. Randomly while typing, the computer will spazz out and flash a lot and switch into and out of tablet mode. Sometimes it gets stuck in tablet mode and I have to figure out ways to go back to normal mode. Are these issues common in this laptop or do I have a defective model? What should I go about doing? Thanks!

Hello, The fan in my lenovo X220 tablet stops working after awhile from turning the device on (after around 10 minutes). This causes the temperature of the processor to always be above 90 degree C (using TPFanControl V 0.61). The fan control software shows that the fan is turning at 4060 RPM, but there is absolutly no air coming out! I recently re-applied the thermal paste, and the problem (fan turning off) "might" have started after re-applying the thermal past - I did it in a local computer service shop. I tried to update the BIOS, but the battery does not work and the installation does not start (it gives me an error) because of that. I have been using my X220 for six years with no problems and I currently run windows 10. Please let me know if you have any idea on how to fix this issue.

A:Lenovo X220 Tablet Fan Turn Off after few minutes

There are only 2 parts involved - the fan and the motherboard.  If the fan bearing gets hot and seizes, it would spin at start-up to avoid the fan error message.  Fans are cheaper than motherboards, so if it were mine, I would try a new fan.

I booted up my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro today, and it keeps going tablet mode during the Windows startup sequence-(he first time I booted it up after the extended waranty expired at the beginning of the month).  The keyboard lights briefly, but then goes dark and I can only login using the soft keyboard or number pad.  At times the screen will change to portrait mode, even though the unit is clearly landscape oriented, or will invert. If I open up the Lenovo vantage software it clealry showed that the keyboard light was shut off and the touchpad disabled-I could change both settings, but the keyboard still wouldn't work and the touchpad was in landscape and the screen was in portrait, so it was kind of unusable.  I have to rely on touchscreen and soft keyboard.I did a reinstall of Windows, and it worked for about an hour before reverting to tablet mode only.I have changed Settings to eliminate Tablet mode, to no avail.I tried deleting the HID driver for selecting laptop/slate indicator, but it just reinstalled on the next start-up.Hardware sensor issue or software?

Within weeks of getting the tablet the trackpad of thinkpad keyboard (comes with the tablet) started behaving weirdly. It works fine for a few moments then the trackpad starts making random selections.  When you try to open a minimized window, it maximizes and then minimizes it again in a split second. It makes a selection when you are only trying to move the cursor. It is extremely inconvenient. On top of that it is so hard to get hold of someone at Lenovo. I tried changing the sensitivity of the trackpad to no avail.

Windows XP Tablet Edition had to be removed from my Lenovo ThinkPad X41 tablet because the PC was issued for school, and the school-licensed software had to be removed. Now I'm running Windows XP Pro (a mistake on the school technical administrator's part?), and the touch screen no longer responds to the stylus.
I tried to contact the school technical administrator, calling to his attention that I'm no longer running Tablet Edition, which is probably necessary, but he has not responded.
I've tried installing such drivers as 7jge15ww and 913z07us, and I've run the ThinkVantage System Update several times, to no avail. Is there a driver I'm overlooking? Is it at all possible to simply USE my tablet properly without having to go out and buy Windows XP Tablet Edition?

You can get Recovery Discs from IBM is the built in Recovery partition and utility are not longer on the laptop from IBM/Lenovo by going here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-4M7HWZ

If the Recovery Partition is still intact and accessible you can return to Windows XP Tablet Edition by following these instructions: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-4UFUYK

Looking at the downloads I don't see a driver for the Touch Screen: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-67100
When you ran the System Update utility you installed all the drivers and software/accessories updates?

Hi,there is a lot matrices are installed into x201t. Models also depend of the backlight type - LED or CCFL. I'm not sure whether any supported matrices models are compatible with your laptop. Also there are different LCD cable assembly and LCD rear cover assembly depending of the backlight type.To ensure what matrice you have and what's compatible check out on Lenovo' site parts list of your laptop by its [laptop] serial number. Support site doesn't answer a question by MTM only.I think it's impossible to fit non touch matrice into the tablet because of the different size (width). Compare the width of x201 and x201t.

UPD
Service parts DB says your laptop has 12.1-in. WXGA LCD panel, LED backlight (300-nit LCD), FRU 45N6092 or 45N5388.
