.msstyles file size? How to get over the size limitation

Q: .msstyles file size? How to get over the size limitation

I’ve downloaded a bunch of themes for XP and am having a problem loading some of them. Windows says that the file is over sized!

Is there an entry in the registry that will reset the size limitation? Or is it hard coded?

Preferred Solution: .msstyles file size? How to get over the size limitation

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

You are aware that you won't be able to use any themes that are not Microsoft on a normal machine, right? This is probably not really a size problem.

Hi All:
I have a few .iso files on my desktop PC running the latest version of Win XP Pro. They are all just over 4 gig each. I have an external Maxtor drive in an enclosure that I put together myself, and formatted about 6 months ago (I think NTFS, but I don't know how to confirm that). I haven't run into this problem before, but honestly, this is the first time I am attempting to transfer files so large (I was able to transfer files labeled as .99 gig with no problem). There is about 14 gigs of space left on the external drive. I tried some other large files that I had, about 2 gig, and they wouldn't transfer either. I am thinking there is a size limitation for an individual file? Any quick ideas? Thanks!

A:Individual file will not copy- size limitation?

FAT32 has an absolute file size limitation of 4gigs, so I suspect that's how the drive is formatted. In My Computer, right click on the drive in question and select Properties. It will tell you if it's formatted FAT32 or NTFS.

Edit: I simply wiped the disk and changed it to MBR through the command line. I don't think I need any more help right now.
I received a new laptop today with windows 10 on it. So I downloaded rufus and used it to make a windows 7 installer. I chose MBR partition format. When I made it partway through the install I could not select a partition because "hard drive is GPT format".
I could make a GPT windows 7 install but to my understanding that only works with Fat32. And to my understanding fat32 can only make a file 4 GBs in size. That seems like that limitation would be a huge problem. I have a 7 gig .rar file of a game I was planning to play on the new computer but I don't think I could transfer it to the fat32 hard drive.
I need some help here. If GPT can only be used with fat32 and therefor have a 4GB file size limitation, then is there any way I can get my 1TB hard drive to MBR? I'll admit that there's a lot I don't understand about this.
I have a UEFI bios by the way along with a legacy mode option for windows 7.

A:GPT hard disk file size limitation

Hi,

What is the Hard Disk size?

GPT and MBR are partitioning schemes, FAT32 and NTFS are File System types that can be used to store files/folders on the partitions independently if the disk is partitioned as MBR or GPT.

I think the confusion is because when creating a bootable flash drive to install Windows on a UEFI system with GPT you need to format the flash drive as FAT32.

A friend is missing emails in Outlook Express 6. Every thing seems to be working fine but the inbox is missing email from August 2008 to June 2009. She say she didn't delete anything and there was nothing in her deleted folder. Looking in the store folder I found inbox.bak about 2 gig in size with a date that corresponded roughly to the time she was working with the files.

Things I've tried:

> Importing the messages from the back up file and got the same messages as the current inbox.dbx file minus about 30 of the most recent emails but none of the missing messages.
> Purchased dbXtract to try to recover messages but was only able to extract 23 messages before the screen went blank. Touched spacebar and screen came back showing dbXtract had completed. I tried the same on another machine with more memory and recovered 60+ messages before the screen went blank. I ran dbXtract on the sent.dbx which is over 1 gig and it extracted all emails pretty quick.

My question - does anyone know if there is a Outlook Express recovery tool that would be able to handle the 2 gig inbox.dbx file?

Sorry for the long post
Lathanial

I understand from MS article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903095 that OE has a file size limit of 2GB. I am not clear as to what happens when this file size limit is exceeded. Does anyone know?

I am using OE and I believe I have exceeded the 2GB file size limit. My Inbox.dbx file is now not accessible through OE. How do I fix this?

I did some research and found DBXpress (faster than DBXtract but costs $24.95) and DBXtract (slower than DBXpress and costs $7.00).

Does anyone have any other relevant info Please??

My Outlook 2002 doesn't want to send large attachments, e.g. it sends 57K word attachments but not 1.3Mb attachments. I get Ox800CCC0F "connection to the server was interrupted" error. As expected simple text emails work just fine.

I have the same problem with my gmail account. Here I get a message from IE telling me that it cannot perform the task required when I do a send.

I have also been getting hangups on larger downloads, e.g. a MS security update for Word, but this is inconsistent.

I turned off NAV 2005 outbound e-mail scanning and still get the same result.

I did lavasoft/spybot cleanups with no change in behavior.

Does NT4 workstation have an IDE Hard drive limitation at 137GB or is that just bios based. I am wondering because I have to upgrade some Dell Optiplex GX240 on NT4/SP6 to 250GB HD, and I had always thought there was a limitation, but now I have been thinking that maybe I had confused the bios issue.

Well, it could be a BIOS limitation, if the BIOS is earlier than mid-2002. I presume you already know about the 8gig size limitation of the boot partition as described in: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;224526&Product=ntw40

Hi
Thank you for taking the time to read my query.
I just restored a bkf file and the restored folder is smaller than the original bkf file. I need to delete the bkf file which is 12 GB but don't want to until I am sure all the files were restored.
I would like to figure out which files were not restored.
Is there any way to figure out which files are missing. After I restored the files, the report says that hardlinks could not be transferred but does not the size of them. The bkf file size is 33,754,314 bytes larger than the restored file, but the bkf file "size on disk"is 19, 099,648 bytes smaller than the restored folder!!!
When I left click on the bkf file and select properties it does not tell me how many files are in the bkf file only the bytes.

Is there any freeware/program that will tell me the number of files in the bkf properties dialogue box? Or even better let me look at the size and number of files in the three main folders I backed up.? I can not access/explore the bkf file only restore it. That would solve my problem. My backup tree is C:sharedhardlinkdata>beth>documents and settings>beth> and then 3 folders underneath
Thank you

I went to SSDs on all of my computers some time back, but I still use WD RE4s and 2.5 inch WD Black HDDs for a variety of backup tasks and for storage in which the data will not be accessed for a period longer than is ideal to use a non-powered SSD for. On my Macs I am using El Capitan with OS X Journeled, GUID map, and FileVault 2 encryption. On my SP3 and desktop I am using NTFS with Win 10 64-bit Pro with BitLocker enabled on both machines. The OS and third party programs are currently up to date.

I've generally used ExFAT and the GPT partition map because it allows me to use it on all of my computers, and I have always used the default cluster size. However, I do not think the default size was the best decision for me because the size on disk is over TWICE the actual size.

If I am correct, the default Win 10 cluster size is 4k, and that going BELOW that is useful for the drives I have many smaller files on. Is this correct? Additionally, the smaller cluster size I go, the slower the drive will write, correct? Also, if so, how low do you advise going? I am still torn between reformatting outright or trying one of the programs that allows changes to a currently in-use drive. Any advice? Thanks!

A:Hard drive cluster size issues? Size on HDD over twice the actual size

For the a sector size of 4k to double your disk utilization you'd have to have a really tiny average file size. From your numbers shown the average size if I calculate it correct is 132kb (unless you have 1 massive file and 17,711 tiny ones) so a 4k size will make no difference.

You could check with TreeSize Free - it will tell you if you right click on the status bar and select it to be displayed.

EDIT - having checked the default for ExFat is 128k for drives over 32GB (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/140365) and when I tried to format an external USB drive that is what it picked. According to macbook - Reformat exFat with specific Device Block Size and Cluster Size - Ask Different OSX picks 128k also.

So if you had 128k as your cluster size minimum disk utilization would be 17,772 files * 128k = 2.17GB. So if all your files were just over this (say 132k which looks like your current average size) you would be using 4.44GB add a couple of big files and it could easily be 6GB.

I would check your average file sizes and also your current cluster size (you can use chkdsk as described in the AskDifferent link above).

The default is 4k for NTFS and I have always formatted ExFat as 4k also. Depending on your current setting reformatting 4k looks like a good idea.

As for how - copying the data elsewhere, formatting and then copying it back has to be the easiest, safest and most likely fastest way. You'll also get the disk defragmented automatical... Read more

After doing a lot of file management (backups, deletion of unnecessary files, defrag, etc) I was able to recover a substantial amount of space. When opening up Computer, I noticed that the size was only registering about 70GB free (out of 500). Knowing this couldn't be the case (I had found the directory my screen recorder saves to, apparently it records lossless avi at 1gb/minute) I did the usual right click on all the folders in root:\ and the size count was only 162GB, with hidden and system folders viewable. I found TweakNow PowerPack 10, which I had used for its Disk Usage Analyzer. That came up with only 94GB used.

After those installs, the disk size jumped to 94GB free.

I have MS Access 2010 & have a database that has been about 45 MB in size for 2 years. About a month ago I noticed it now is 67 MB. I compact & repair every time I save it which is twice a month. I've gone back & did a compact & repair on the 67 MB file but it does not change.

I must have looked at & changed something without realizing it. The actual number of records appears to be correct. How can examine and/or compare tables or other internals between the two sizes? I've seen a program called AccdbMerge come up on a few Google hits & was wondering if anyone ever used it?

And & all suggestions would be appreciated.

A:Access file size increased in size by 50%

The only reason I've seen for a database to get very large is when there is a picture (JPG file) used in a form. Apparently Access does not do a very good job with storing this type of data. Perhaps your database has an image stored as a data item in a table (or some other place.) Other than that...no idea why you should see such a large size.

Alternately, you can create a new empty database and then copy each object from your current database to the new one, one at a time, and check the size of the new database after each copy. That will at least identify which object is causing the problem.

When I right click a file to view it's properties there are two different values shown: one for file "size" and the other for "size on disk". The second value is always larger. Could someone please explain what the difference is because I'm in the process of allocating space for backed up user data on a network share and I need to multiply the average file size by the number of users to get an estimate of how much space to allocate to that share. Thanks in advance!

A:file size vs size on disk

Disks are laid out at a base level in sectors, and then in clusters which are groups of sectors.
For example, on a 32GB partition (Fat32) the cluster size is 32000 bytes. On a NTFS system, the standard size is 4K.

Files can only be on a cluster boundary. Therefore, in this example, a file that is 16,000 bytes (file size) will be 32,768 bytes (on disk). And a 40,000 byte file (file size) will be 65,536 bytes (on disk).
Or, on a NTFS system, a 5,000 byte file will take 2 clusters, or 8,192 bytes (on disk)

Do Start > Run > Command and at the prompt enter
CHKDSK

After it runs, the "xxxx bytes in each allocation unit" is the cluster size.

I have put each 5,000 MB so page file size should be around 15 GB according to me. But when I look at "performance" tab, it shows limit only 3765392 so around 3766 MB.

I checked under settings >> Performance Options of Advance computer properties, there it shows Total Paging Size 2046 MB. But when I click change, there it contains custom size of 5,000 MB.

So finally I just want to know if my paging file size have really increased to 15 GB or it's just 2046 MB as it shown there.

I'm having a problem with a system image (C: drive and System Reserved drive, that I made with a scheduled Windows Backup) and its size. I have a D: drive where I store it.

First of all, I noticed this in D: drive properties:

Used space of the whole drive is actually larger than the size of all the individually selected D: drive files, including hidden files.

Then I noticed this:

System image size reported by Windows Backup info is clearly larger than the size reported in the backup folder properties.

There's like 35 GB stored somewhere in the disk and I can't find them, how come this is possible? Is there something that I'm missing?

Thanks and sorry for my english.

A:"Windows Backup size" not reflecting actual backup file size

Windows backups makes a system image and a backup of the user folder of the user account by default.

So, that extra data is likely from your user folder.

Also be default windows backup will save multiple copies of your user folder on each backup, not just file changes.

Which also I think would explain this.

150% size zoom in corrupts Chrome and Adobe Reader - Windows Forum - Computer Support Forums
I have my Windows set to 150% zoom (otherwise it becomes hard to aim at the little buttons in order to click them) It's really nice to have the buttons really big in the list of options that come up when I press the Windows button on the left of Alt button.

But the problem is that it blows up Chrome and Adobe Reader so that it almost becomes unuseable.

Firefox and Internet Explorer is ok. Foxit Reader is ok.

Also, time to time the Chrome appears ok when I log in (not sure about Adobe Reader) but then when I sign out and log in again the overblownness appears again.

A:150% size zoom in makes Chrome and Adobe Reader overblown size

My experience is that the 150% only really works if you are using a high resolution, say 1920x1080.

If your native resolution is much lower than that you are going to get bleed over ... text running outside of the buttons they are meant to label... stuff like that.

Have you tried just using large icons instead of blowing up all text and buttons?

I have Win XP SP2, all updated, Word 2002, SP3.

Choosing say A4 for page setup, setting it to 100% and viewing as Print layout, at 100% used to give a screen size page which was actually equal to A4 ie 21cm x 29.7cm.

For some time now, the screen size is now larger than that - the ruler at the top and bottom shows the marking as being 21cm x 29.7cm, but the cm units on the ruler are marked off at larger than cm units, consequently the screen size page is larger than actual.

This is annoying as it is not an accurate representation of the page layout for things on the page relative to each other.

Any ideas what has caused this and how to fix?

Hello there, and thank you for viewing my thread!

After formatting my PC, I have made a fresh back up of all of my data onto my external hard drive (as you do). The problem I have, is that the external hard drive is showing as pretty much full, but there's nowhere near that much data on it!

I did a little bit of digging, and noticed that when I right click a folder on the external hard drive and go to 'Properties' that the size of the file shows as one value and the size on disk value is significantly larger in most cases.

In some cases, both values do not reflect the actual size of the file on my desktop.

The ExHD is in ExFat format, and I'm assuming it's something to do with the way it's formatted, I just don't know how to fix it. I've tried it a couple of different ways, with different 'Allocation Unit Size's, but for how long it takes to complete the back-up's each time I'd rather just ask for help and find out where I'm going wrong.

If anyone could help me sort this out I'd really appreciate it.

I edit a lot of home movies of my daughter, some video files are as large as 10GB so I cannot use the 4GB file size maximum given by NTFS.

Thank you so much!

Hackers Target Microsoft JPEG Hole

Tue Sep 28,10:00 AM ET
Paul Roberts, IDG News Service

Malicious hackers are seeding Internet news groups that traffic in pornography with JPEG images that take advantage of a recently disclosed security hole in Microsoft's software, according to warnings from antivirus software companies and Internet security groups.

The reports are the first evidence of public attacks using the critical flaw, which Microsoft identified and patched on September 14. Users who unwittingly download the poison images could have remote control software installed on their computers that gives remote attackers total control over the machine, experts warn.
The images were posted in a variety of Internet news groups where visitors post and share pornographic images or "binaries." The altered JPEG images were posted to groups such as "alt.binaries.erotica.breasts" on Monday by someone using the e-mail address "[email protected]," according to information published on the online security discussion group Bugtraq and on Easynews.com, a Web portal for Usenet, the global network of news servers.

The corrupted JPEG images are indistinguishable from other images posted in the group, but contain a slightly modified version of recently released exploit code for the JPEG vulnerability called the "JPEG of Death" exploit, which appeared over the weekend, according to Johannes Ullrich, chief technology of... If I bump one setting, others seem to change. Like after an update too!

I need a script, to set, then set again, and again, the
display settings,

the "change only text size".

Keeping the monitor placement geometry the same would be great for me too.

Oh for a cross reference on Outlook 2013 to the system setting. I keep manipulating the view settings there too.

Probably to get started I could use a "settings display" script.

My 32GB Windows 10 Home PC (recently upgraded from 8.1) is low on disk space. I deleted Windows.old and I have hibernation disabled. Apart from a few browsers, very little else is installed, yet I only have 11.7GB left?

One reason may be the size of the Windows folder:
Size 14.7GB
Size on Disk 9.91GB

From my calculations, Windows appears to be using the higher figure in determining available disk space.

Why is 'Size' so much greater than 'Size on Disk', can I do anything about it? I have a similar 8.1 machine, it does not have this disparity (12.4GB and 12.3GB).

What would be a normal 'Size' for a Windows folder on Windows 10 Home PC very recently upgraded from 8.1 i.e. with few, if any Windows live updates run ?

A:Windows Folder Size greater than Size on Disk

I imagine its because windows compresses some system files currently it may be using 9gb but with all files uncompressed you may be looking at 14 which is why it uses the higher value

The adjustment are not made with Windows 7 they are made with the printer program that came with the printers they use.

I cannot resize the address or search windows in Windows Explorer, Windows 7 Pro.  I do have the text size set up to 200%.  No, the user isn't blind, but this is one of those new Dell Laptops with the 3200x1800 resolution.  I have read in
other forums about setting the text to below 185%, but nothing official from Microsoft...  So, Microsoft, how do I resize these input boxes.

Thanks
Ken

A:How to re-size the explorer search box. - Large text size.

Hi,
According to my experience, high-DPI can cause strange behavior include toolbars, icons, and control buttons, though the link I shared with you previously doesn't include the issue about ratio between address box and search box, the symptom
is somewhat similiar to that.
I recommend that we turn on Windows update, and wait for an update which might address this issue, or as you mentioned, turn to a lower dpi as a temporarily workaround.

Hi All,

I have a weird situation I don't understand and am concerned it may due to an infection and would like some advice.

The last two backups I performed using Acronis True Image WD edition are around twice the size as before and are around twice the size the program says the image will be when setting up the backup.

This started in Feb of this year. I have also noticed weird behavior of my wireless keyboard and mouse- sometimes not responding immediately. I have also been having intermittent freezing of the computer when left unattended.

I use Norton Internet Security and run Malwarebytes scan periodically but nothing has come up as a threat.

Any ideas how to figure out what the extra space in the backups is from and should I be concerned?

Running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Acronis True Image WD edition from 2009.

As you can see from the screenshot , this is what i have had and continue to have as far as storage on my computer .

Judging from the screenshot what size SSD in terms of GB would you recommend ?

Thank you

A:Looking at my HD info what size SSD in terms of size to recommend ?

You're only using 30 GB.

If you don't figure that is going to grow significantly, 80 or maybe 120 ought to be plenty. You are the world's foremost authority on how fast your storage requirements might grow.

Mine is 80, growing at maybe 2 GB per year, mostly because of Windows updates. But I don't keep data on C.

Larger SSDs are somewhat faster, but I don't think you'd ever notice the difference except in a benchmark.

Hello

I'm not sure what has happened but I went to create a system restore point earlier today only to find that the box where you type the description has shrunk down to an unreadable size as you can see below

Other programs don't seem to be affected, ie when naming/renaming files or installing programs into custom locations font size is normal. I don't know if it is only system restore that has this problem but it's the only program i've come across that is suffering.

Any ideas what has gone wrong or more importantly how to resize the type box so I can at least see what i'm typing?

Running win XP pro/SP3

Any help gratefully received

I am running out of space on my system drive (120GB SSD with < 6GB remaining). It happened in only 12 months. I'd like to know where all that space went, which files are using it. So I'm looking for a way to rank files by size regardless of their folder location, largest-to-smallest, ideally without a full scan of the disk if there are internal indexes that have this info.
Thanks

P.S. Sometimes Windows seems confused. Microsoft Money Sunset edition is taking up 23TB, for example.

A:list all files, by size, larger than a specified size?

This application should help you find what programs are using the most space.

ShowSize Disk Space Analyzer - CNET Download.com

Scan your main drive root directory and you can then open up all the sub directories and it will list how much space each sub is using.

I've been wanting to see how much space folders take up, like how Disks display them when you open My Computer. Is there such an addon to Explorer, or recommend any free apps that do this?

I want to increase the type font display size globally, for all applications & windows features, but I want to preserve the smaller desktop icon size. Is there any way to adjust them independently?

I know about the advanced display settings for window color & appearance, and that has some good settings, but it is not sufficient, because it does not change most instances of text as it displays in applications.

Thanks for any suggestions.

A:Any way to change type size but NOT icon size?

Here's my whole list of font size change settings, one of which might provide the answer for you. You've probably tried some of them, but see if there's something here that might change the font size on those icons, without changing the size of the icons themselves:

1. This is the one of the main setting tools for setting various locations of Windows font sizes. Right-click on the Desktop and go to Personalize, Window Color and Appearance. Click on Advanced, and in the drop-down menu, select the item that controls the location where you wish to change the font size. (Note: the last one, Window, does not have an option to control font size.)

2. DPI - Right click on Desktop, Personalize, On Personalization Page, go to left column to: Adjust Font size ? DPI, DPI Scaling: Click on Large scale (120 DPI), and click Apply.

3. Screen Resolution: Right-click on the Desktop, choose Screen Resolution, click on the down-arrow at the end of the Resolution box, and pick the desired resolution. Check OK.

4. Display: Right-click on the Desktop, select Personalize, then Display. From the 3 settings: Small, Medium, Large, if screen defaults to Medium (125% size for font and images) and that?s too large, use Small for 100% size (aka ?normal?)

5. At the lower right hand corner of every IE web page, there?s a Zoom control that lets you increase the size of every web page, and it stays at that Zoom setting for every page until/unless you change it.

6. Open Internet Explorer, go to T... Read more

I am confused and obviously not an expert on photography! I have been told that the sensor size is extremely important and that if the sensor size is small, such as in lower priced p and s cameras, there will be poor quality the more the MP size because of noise. So, what IS a good rule of thumb? I have looked at SLR cameras and they may have 14 or 16 MP and not very large sensors themselves, unless we go up to the $1K or more range.

I'd like more zoom, but it seems that in every p and s I find, more zoom seems to go with higher MP and that small sensor once again!

If you wonder why your 500 Gbyte disk only reports 465 Gbyte in your system, read on.

   Information

A drive that is advertised as a 500 Gbyte actually contains 500.000.000.000 bytes
The manufacturers just divides it three times by 1000 to show the value in Gbytes, but that's not accurate.

   Information

1 Gbyte = 1024 Mbyte,
1 Mbyte = 1024 Kbyte
1 Kbyte = 1024 byte
To calculate the actual size we need to divide it three times by 1024.

   Information

500.000.000.000 byte / 1024 = 488.281.250 Kbyte

. . 488.281.250 Kbyte / 1024 = . . . 476.837 Mbyte

. . . . .476.837 Mbyte / 1024 = . . . . . . 465 Gbyte

The actual size of the disk is not 500 Gb, but 465 Gb
With a 1TB disk it's the same thing, because 1 Tbyte = 1024 Gbyte
A 1Tb disk is actually only 1000.000.000.000 byte, which equals 0,9 Tb (931 Gb)
You actually get 69 Gb less than you thought you paid for..An alternative method to calculate the real size is to use ratios: thanks to Airbot

   Information
For Gbyte the ratio is 0.9313226

500 Gbyte multiplied by 0.9313226 = 465.6613 Gbyte

   Information
For Tbyte the ratio is 0.9094947

2 Tbyte multiplied by 0.9094947 = 1.8189894 Tbyte or 1,819 Gbyte

If you have a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 whats your browser window size?

its obviously not 1366 x 768

is there a way to see this for other screen sizes?

If you want the renderale size, this can be grabbed by a quick bit of javascript accessing the window.screen property (for example). There are other ways as well.

i'm using windows 7 32 bit with 4GB RAM. how much size can i set java heap size to so that other apps are not affected. The eclipse IDE is running slow. i'm not able to set eclipse heap size above 700mb with java heap size set to 2048mb.

A:how much size can i set java heap size to with 4gb RAM?

According to this IBM article, size your Java heap so that your application runs with a minimum heap usage of 40%, and a maximum heap usage of 70%. Although this is an older article I would guess that the parameters would still apply today.

Hi,

I am having trouble with the font size and Pop up boxes size. Both are either too big or too small. I dont know how to solve this problem.

For example if I want to update my Symantic AntiVirus or Install a new program, the Box that opens is either too big or too small and font size too.

Recently I copied some fonts to my folder in Windows folder (Fonts folder).

I think maybe that has caused the problem. But I dont know how to solve it.

Please Help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Muneeb and welcome to TSF !

You could give system restore a try : start => all programs => accessories => system tools => system restore. Select a date in bold prior to when the problem began. You won't lose any personal data but you may need to reinstall any program or update you've installed since then.

Else the system file checker can restore your system fonts. You'll need an XP install CD with service pack 2 (XP Home SP2 or XP Pro SP2 depending on the version you have installed). If your current CD hasn't got service pack 2 then you need to create a slipstreamed CD with SP2. Use one of these guides and report once you have an XP SP2 install CD :

Hello guys, I'm having a HARD time to understand the size descriptions from my Case and Comparing it with the GPU I want to buy.

So my case is a Zalman Z9
::: Zalman, leading the world of Quiet Computing Solutions :::

and the GPU I want to buy is a R9 390x, specificaly this one.

Asus AMD R9 390X Strix Gaming OC Graphics Card (8 GB, GDDR5, PCI Express 3.0, 3 x Display Port, HDMI, DVI-D, 4096x2160, 512-Bit): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

Which is supposedly 137.7 millimetres long? Which should be able to get in. However When I look into my case Right now with my XFX Radeon HD 6850 I can see it barelly fits, and it is only fans...

How is a 3fan card gona fit in?

A:Question about case Size and GPU Size

You will have to go with a full tower case, the R9 390x is about 300mm long and the Z9 plus case (mid tower) only can fit in a card that is up to 290mm long.

The full tower Zalman Z11 will fit in the R9 390x without any space issues at all and it will be able to breath properly inside the Z11 as well.

I have a suspicion that I am missing something very basic indeed. But if I don't ask, I won't know.

When I download images from my digital camera and view them, they show a certain amount of content. When I print them, usually in 6x4 format, a small part of the image gets chopped off - usually the top of someone's head! Could someone please tell me how I can ensure that what I print is what appears on the screen without reducing the content of the original image?

Many thanks
