Q: Hijack This decode

Mod Edit: Moved to proper forum for logs ~~boopme
This is my first time posting. I hope I am posting to the right forum.

I purchased an Asus gamers computer with  Windows 7 Professional, 64bit operating system and 8 gig of ram.  I would like to have somebody look at my Hijack log and let me know why this computer is barley working. It takes at least 5 minutes to do a cold boot and takes long o open a web page.  There are many Asus files that download when purchasing a new computer.  I don't know if these programs are needed or not.  Below is my HIjack file

Thank you for your help.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Can someone take a look at these files tell me if theres anything pointing at something specific, I am getting a generic BSoD that I saw in the past with a bad HD and now after months with a new HD and other new components I am getting it again. It seems to show up when playing games as I am sitting on the machine browsing and its fine.

This is my baby and I really really don't like it when shes not performing well. No new hardware at all in months.

Thanks for anyone who might help.

A:Can anyone decode this?

Hello and welcome to SF.

Probable cause:

Code:
fffff880`040aa000 fffff880`040b2000 ASACPI ASACPI.sys Mon Oct 30 22:09:12 2006 (4546B048)
I'm not sure why these are popping up again; they stopped for a few months. Uninstall any ASUS software that is currently installed (ASUS Probe, AI Suite, etc.). If there is none, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers, then find and rename ASACPI.SYS to ASACPI.BAK and restart the computer. Let us know if BSOD's persist.

Hi,

I need to stream audio and/or video to a PDA device. There is a trick here which is:
The PDA must receive the stream from a multicast address. For this I have implemented a Bridge application which joins the multicast group on behalf of the PDA and receives the Multicast RTP packets (which are sent from JMStudio) and Unicasts them to the PDA.(HP iPAQ) I had no problem implementing this. The streaming is done using JMStudio player which encodes the streaming audio data into a number of encodings (DVI/RTP in my case). I choose DVI/RTP and stream a .wav audio file.
Now I have to accept the packets and play the stream on the PDA.
The j2me application receives all the RTP packets successfully and I can extract usefull information from the packets such as: Timestamp, sequence number, payload type. The payload type is 5 which means it is a DVI4 encoding.
I use the following method to decode the samples:

public int decode(Object state, byte[] input, int inp, int len, short[] output, int outp) {
int sign;
int delta;
int vpdiff;
//int valprev = audio.Convert.byte2short(input, inp);

//int index = input[inp + 2];
int valprev=0,index=0;
int inputbuffer = 0;
int bufferstep = 0;
////////////////////////////////////
valprev = input[0] <<8;
valprev |= input[1] &0xff;

index = input[2] &0xff;
//////////////////////////////////////////

if ( index < 0 ) index = 0;
else if ( index > 88 ) index = 88;

int step = stepsizeTable[index];

inp += 4;

len = (len - 4) * 2;

For all you AMD'ers like me, trying to actually decode your CPU is, or should I say was, a headache. Now it's easy with this attached AMD site page key. All you ever wanted to know about your processor is stamped right on your Athlon. Write down the OPN (ordering part number) and go here:

http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/DownloadableAssets/Processor_Recognition_Rev03_ENG.pdf
Just thought you might be interested. I've also heard you might be surprised at what you thought you bought might not neccessarily be the case.

EDIT: I should mention that's a PDF page.

Hi

Here is my situation. I want to install a Firewire IEEE1394 card so I can upload video from a digital camcorder in order to provide edit functionality. Problem is I have no more PCI slots available. So, I was thinking if I remove the decoder card for the DVD drive and install decoding s/w I would generate an open PCI slot for a Firewire card. I could play DVDs with s/w decoding instead of h/w decoding.

Will this work? I have a Micron 550MHz box w/ 256MB ram 20 GB hd running Win 98SE.

Thanks,
George

Hi. . .

The only new dimension that you have entered here is to join the ranks of millions suffering from the infamous Blue Screen of Death.

The STOP error code - bugcheck - per your screenshot is -
0x00000050 (fffffa8007945000, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff97fff17f664, 0x0000000000000000), with no probable cause listed.

A bugcgeck of 0x50 = that invalid system memory has been referenced.

I suggest that you immediately perform a system restore choosing a restore point prior to the installation of the program in question.

Good Luck to you.

The error is often caused by a program that's been badly written. If it appears during Windows startup, something that starts with Windows (that runs in the background) is either badly written or not compatible with your Windows version.

Go through your startup items and disable one at a time, then restart each time you've disabled one. When the error no longer appears, the last startup item you disabled is the one that's triggering the error.

The person who uses a bilingual window system types in Chinese and sends the email out to me, but all I get is symbols that Outlook does not sometimes recognize to decode those symbols to Chinese. I am not talking about TRANSLATING but DECODING. My Outlook and Control Panel are all set to decode Chinese, but how can I get them all decoded?

Thanks

A:DECODE chinese in email?

There are a lot of things that can go wrong with character encoding. Could you possibly post a small bit of the text so someone here might have a look at it and figure out what might be the problem?

What program/service is the sender using to send the e-mail? What version of Outlook do you have?

(I really apologize for my english) Hi, new to this forum, I bought a DELL Laptop less than 2 months ago and problems were really quick to come.. Lots of BSOD's. Sometimes it can work just fine more than a week straight 24/7 no matter what I do, play gta 4, battlefield 3 (and of course I do it cuz I bought that kind of laptop for gaming and working both). Although sometimes bsod's come couple times a day and not for doing different stuff.. so what I'm trying to say is that bsod's doesn't appear to be depended on what I do.. or something like that.. Anyways yes the warranty should be the solution but I hoped that maybe I have done something wrong myself with drivers or software etc. And also I don't like that warranty will take ages as long as I live in Estonia and they won't do nothing here but send it to the most furthest place known to man and then after few months or so I will maybe hear from then again.

I hoped that maybe some of you can decode these minidump files so I uploaded last 3 ones that it recorded. I would really appreciate that.

The software that's used to decode the media is not avaliable on this system. Installing the correct decoders for the files you are working on may help to correct the problem. - 47001.
I have this problem with nearly all the projects i have and am at a loss as I have not deleted anything that relates to it. (as far as I am aware)

I have tried to uninstal and then instal the software. this di not help.

But not the Flac Decoding one.
So once saved as Flac you can't reopen, edit or read them.
More options are displayed to associate with Wavepad, but they won't work since this plugin's are missing.

FLAC is meant as a 'final destination' not an editable format. Why don't you save your stuff as WAV, do any editing you want then convert to FLAC.

Many players can handle FLAC for playback (WinAmp right out of the box), for others there are plug-ins.

Can anyone point me to a reference for decoding the "toolbars", "settings", "settings word mail", and "toolbars word mail" entries in Vista 64 Registry Entry HKCU\software\microsoft\office\12\word\data

Background and Reason For Asking: For several weeks, when closing Word 2007 SP2 have been getting message "change has been made that affects the global template normal do you want to save these changes". Since I haven't done anything that should have changed it, I don't save. Googling shows that several others have a similar problem. KB291352 and other reports have information on cause and correction, none of which appear to apply in my case.

Today, while working with Microsoft tech support on another Word 2007 issue, the message went away. Some "diagnostic" activity taken by tech support included renaming three HKCU Registry Keys. Afterwards, I reversed these renames on a one-at-a-time basis and found that the HKCU\...\data key is the one that triggers the message. The new and renamed entries are made up of hexadecimal data. My assumption is that one or more of the bit settings is the trigger, and I'd like to decode them to see if the cause can be determined. - Thanks

Hello,

My computer has become infected with the following trojans/rootkits, and I've everything I know how (which is very little) to fix it, with no effect. I discovered this forum while googling the relevant trojan names and come to you humbly for whatever assistance you may offer.

The first problem I noticed was computer/browser slowdown. There was an svchost process that was listed as using over half of my RAM. I suspected an infection and so ran my antivirus/malware software -- Avast, AdAware, & Malwarebytes. Nothing was discovered. Shortly after this alerts began popping up from Avast saying it was blocking communication to a certain website. I'm sorry, I didn't take this as seriously as I should have at first and did not write down anything about these first warnings. Repeated scans again revealed nothing. I remembered from removing one of the "AntiVirus" rootkits from a girlfriend's computer that starting in safe mode, installing a new Malwarebytes, and then scanning may help. I tried that, and two trojans were discovered, both named Exploit.Drop.7, and I removed them. After this I also ran the Free Windows Registry Repair command, as well as the registry repair function of C-Cleaner (I'm not sure why, in retrospect, I just remembered doing that last time). I restarted the computer again. It appeared to be working normally, and I accessed the internet and checked e-mail, etc. However, in just a few minutes I again notice... Read more

Hello, I have multiple infections and I think my PC is on it's way out and this is my last attempt at saving it. First off the symptoms started as everytime I would use the search function a link would redirect to google search saying page cannot be found even if I was not even on google search. And I noticed it would show some other site in the link right before it went there but would never cannot to that site. It never actually connected to the site I wanted to. For some reason it worked 50% of the time if I opened the link in a new browser but odds increasingly got slimmer. I ran multiple scanners. I'm currently protected by avast 4.8, ad-aware, spyware blaster and malwarebytes but none of these protected this infection or will they get rid of it. I ran other scanners like panda, kasperty, stopzilla. I even updated to the newest avast. Nothing will stop this. It got worse when internet explorer kept opening up new windows one after another without let up and eventually I got all of them to close with quick clicks but the browser no longer works. I am currently using modzilla. Now I cannot even download any spyware, virus or malware protection. This infection has disabled my documents folder so I can't open anything. This is why I can't post a LOG. I can only post what AVAST and stopzilla picked up.

There was one more but unfortunately I lost it when stopzilla stopped working. Please help thankyou!

A:Hijack logfile. Could barely even get hijack to run, including in safe mode!

1. Download & Save this file to Desktop -> http://download.bleepingcomputer.com...a/ComboFix.exe

2. Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.

3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log & a fresh HJT log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall
