Q: Please help - every website I go to says Internet explorer warning - desperate

Hi,
Please would anyone be able to help? - I have been trying for a while to get on to here and some other websites but some sort of virus is stopping me.

I am not very good with computers so please bear with me.

I keep getting the message: Internet Explorer Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!
every time I go to any website. I finally managed to get into this site for help but have been unable to get into hotmail for example to get at my e-mails and many other websites.

Below is Hijack this log

Preferred Solution: Please help - every website I go to says Internet explorer warning - desperate

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi! I keep getting an Internet Explorer Security warning box that says: "A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer." Beneath that message it reads: This program will open outside of protected mode. Protected mode helps protect your computer. If you do not trust this website, please do not open this program. Then, below that message it says Name: Adobe Flash Player; Publisher: Adobe Systems Incorporated. You can click "Allow" or "Don't Allow." I've been clicking "Don't Allow" because I think it may be a virus. This message pops up whenever I try to navigate to a different website - they are trusted sites such as Google or MSN. I'm just not sure how to get rid of it. I have run SuperAntiSpyware which found some threats then removed them, but I keep getting this message. I also ran Malwarebytes but that found nothing.

My computer is running really slow, and I keep getting this message. I followed the directions in the preparation guide and am posting and attaching my logs that Bleeping Computer recommended. Thanks for any help you can give me!

We just started having this problem today at one of our computers at work, we run on Windows XP. Every time I navigate to a new web page (even here), I get a pop up warning:

Internet Explorer Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!

Most likely causes:
The website contains exploits that can launch a malicious code on your computer
Suspicious network activity detected
There might be an active spyware running on your computer

What you can try:
Activate Antivirus 360 for secure Internet surfing (Recommended).
Check your computer for viruses and malware.

Can you please help me get rid of this? I have tried to attach the 2 things that came up with the DDS

I am using internet Explorer 11 to access the www.nemsis.org site and when I go to access http://www.nemsis.org/media/CustomElementLibrary/ .

I get the error message below:

I can use Chrome just fine to access the page. I have a coworker who can access just it just fine and he is using Internet Explorer 11 and was also able to access on Firefox. Is there something I am missing to access it? The page should display a map.

Thank you in advanced.

A:Using Internet Explorer 11 but site displays warning that I need internet Explorer 9 or higher.

Answered my own question. Apparently if I place a check in the "Use Microsofts Compatibility list and uncheck the "Displa intranet sites in Compatibility View" it works.

I was visiting some Asian sites via search engine, and somewhere along the way there must have been a site with Javascript code that affected my Internet Explorer 5.5

Now the very top of my Internet Explorer browser always reads "Chinese Music At Sailingmoon.com" and there doesn't seem to be anything I could do to get rid of this message.

The only thing I could think of to resolve this problem is by editing my registry files, but I've never done this before (and wouldn't know how to do so safely). And this is very risky.

Is there a simpler or alternative solution that I could try?

PLEASE HELP ME. Thank you.

A:Desperate to delete this Internet Explorer / Javascript artifact!

Hi ocplayers. Welcome to TSG. I hate to tell you this, but you are indeed going to have to do a little registry editing. Follow the instructions in this MS article to regain your original IE windows title:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q176/4/97.ASP?

But before you do that you should Backup the registry key that you are going work with. Here's how to do it:

Open up the Registry Editor (Start>Run>type in regedit>Ok) In the Registry Editor highlight the Registry Key you are going to be working with (folder in the left pane), click on the "Registry" Toolbar button up top and choose "Export Registry File". Give it a name and save it. To Export a registry file means that you are making a copy of the key you are going to change, and then you save it somewhere safe and convenient, like the Desktop or My Documents. I created a folder in My Documents called "Deleted Registry Keys" for keys that I've modified or deleted. If the Registry changes you made have bad effects, you can always go find the Registry keys (.reg files) you saved and rightclick and Merge (or doubleclick) and change the Registry keys back to what they were originally before you made the changes.

If you need any help with any of the procedures listed in the MS article, just let us know.
Good luck. sharon

Every time I go to my hotmail account a warning from IE comes up stating that "this page is accessing information that it is not entitled to, do you want to proceed YES or NO"
Why is this happening and how do I prevent it?

A:Internet Explorer warning

Try Adding hotmail.com to trusted sites. To do this go to tools -> internet options -> security -> click on trusted sites, click on sites. in the box type in hotmail.com and click add. Click ok on all boxes and restart internet explorer, then try again. Never seen that message before but i am guessing this might fix it.

You may need to untick the box that says require verification.

Hi,
During Windows update I'm getting the following Internet Explorer-Security Warning:
Do you want to install this software?
Name: Windows Update
Publisher: Microsoft Windows Component Publisher This pops up during the "checking for correct update software" message.
I'm a couple months behind on the updates, and this has never happened before. It seems legite, just wanted to check here first before accepting/installing it.
Thanks in advance for your time,

A:Internet Explorer-Security Warning

For the short answer: That's Normal

For the long answer, if you open Internet Explorer and up at the top, click on "Tools" then click Windows Update, this is about the best way to ensure that you are definitely going to the right site. After that, there's not much to worry about, if you trust Microsoft that is.

Occasionally Microsoft does push out new versions of the client software that runs on your computer and interfaces with their update system.

Hi there,

Not sure if I am in the right section for this problem.

My internet explorer worked fine this morning and now when I go into it it immediately pops up this warning: "[email protected] is a virus that infects files with .exe extensions. It attempts to steal passwords and private information from the infected computer."

<removed links to rogue sites>

Either way, my normal homepage will no longer come up and I have to continually delete the above warning and pages for a warning to naviagte away from the 'secure' page to get were I want to go.

I have Norton Internet Security on my pc and shows that it's secure. Why would I be getting this notice?

Any help would be helpful.
Thanks so much!

Well basically i just called the geek squad at best buy and they said their virus removal is $200.... i can not afford that. I'd rather just buy a new pc if it came to that. So heres my problem
When my computer starts up i message in yellow with a blue background pops up and says.... Warning! your computer is infected with spyware! please d/l a virus protection program or w/e... etc etc.

Just before this i had a problem with a Red X claiming it was windows xp virus update...coming up at the bottom of my screen.. and telling me to downloads things.
I cant really run my pc outside of safe mode anymore, because so much junk pops up, and it eventually kicks me out to this blue screen with a bunch of text, with a different title everytime for my problem... "poole head bad" or something like that.

and that screen tells me to resart. Ive ran AVG like 5 times, and everytime i come up with the same 3 trojans too.

So thats it in basic form... If someone can help me seriously fix this problem and keep it fixed. I'd send you a check for $20 or so just for your time and effort! no kidding... id appreciate a helpful person over a geek squad $200 ripping off.

Hello,

Recently my internet explorer 7 started launching itself and go to unknown websites : its not a normal launch since its only visible at the task manager procces page and the websites didnt show in the history file.
As I have experiance using my PC I begun doing everything I know.
After Having my computer scanned with many anti malware/spyware proggrams including - Malwarebytes,RogueRemover,Kaspersky,Avg and few more. I failed to find what was causing this and why there isnt any history records of this.
Doing some more research I found a program to view the contents of the explorers history file (IEHV) what I found is that the explorer goes to this site :

tibia-inject.com/ping.php?id=68085&conf=uwp33&infid=1375893814&infname=lol (DONT CLICK IT!!!!!!!!!)

So far I have failed to remove this but I suppose its some sort of keylogger for the game tibia. I have zemana Antilogger but it doesnt catch this 1.
All of my attempts to remove it or finding information on the web on how to remove it have not been succesfull all I found are known rogue program sites so I obviously avoided them in order to not get anything even worse.

If anyone have encountered a similar problem or can refer me to a topic on how to remove this horribly nasty infection and willing to share it here please do.

Thanks

Your log is actually clean. Here's a couple tools to try, let me know if they work in resolving your problem.

Please download Ad-aware SE and install it if you don't have it already. Make sure it's the newest version and check for any updates before running it. Go to this site to get the plug-in for fixing VX2 variants. To run this tool, go into Ad-aware->Add-ons and select VX2 Cleaner. Then click Run Tool and OK to start it. If it's clean, it will say Status System Clean. Otherwise, you will have to click on the Clean button to remove the VX2 infection. Also make sure to customize the settings in Ad-aware for better scan results. Run the scan and fix everything that it finds.

Download WinsockFix and unzip it. Then double-click on it to run it.

You may want to give your computer a clean install of windows xp, or tune it up (defrag, cleanup, remove programs, etc.) I would recommend a clean install.

A fake popup warning appeared while I was browsing something on IE. I forgot it's best to close Internet Explorer completely from the task manager when something like this happens so I closed it using the X window button and it appeared again a few more times until it closed. Malwarebytes blocked several websites when it opened and while I was trying to close it. If Malwarebytes and Windows Defender (MSE in Windows 8) scans don't find anything, is everything fine?

Hiya

Excerpt from MS Critical Update:
Security Update, February 14, 2002 (Internet Explorer 5.5)
313 KB/ Download Time: < 1 min
This update resolves the "Incorrect VBScript Handling in Internet Explorer can Allow Web Pages to Read Local Files" security vulnerability in Internet Explorer 5.5 and Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me), Windows 98, or Windows NTŪ 4.0, and is discussed in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS02-009. Download now to prevent a malicious user from using an unauthorized Web site to read the contents of files on your local computer.

Frames are used in Internet Explorer to provide for a fuller
browsing experience. By design, scripts in the frame of one site or
domain should be prohibited from accessing the content of frames
in another site or domain. However, a flaw exists in how VBScript
is handled in IE relating to validating cross-domain access. This
flaw can allow scripts of one domain to access the contents of
another domain in a frame.

A malicious user could exploit this vulnerability by using
scripting to extract the contents of frames in other domains,
then sending that content back to their web site. This would
enable the attacker to view files on the user's local machine
or capture the contents of third-party web sites the user visited
after leaving the attacker's site. The latter scenario could,
in the worst case, enable the attacker to learn personal
information like user names, passwords, or credit card informatio... Read more

Hi,
You can try to delete on exit option ?
Open ie,
Use Alt+TO or Gear symbol/ Internet options,
General section check the box to Delete browser history on exit,
Click on the Delete button and Uncheck everything there and Delete.
Close ie and re-open and test again,

You can also try In-Private browsing,
Right click the ie taskbar shortcut and click on the option Start In-Private browsing,
Or Gear symbol/ Safety and In-Private and test,
Cheers.

End users access a website and normally after they answer security questions for the website they can check "remember this computer" and they will not be prompted to answer them again. Since changing to Windows 10, when the end user goes to that
website, even though they check the "remember this computer" option, they are prompted every time to answer security questions. The vendor said that it is nothing on their site. Is there a setting on Windows 10 or IE 11 that is doing this?

Hi, I think this goes in this category but I'm not sure- I have two Experience Project ( www.experienceproject.com) accounts, and I can usually use them both, but yesterday, and the problem has persisted into this morning, I log on/refresh the page, and the webpage goes white and says 'Sorry, your account is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later, or if the problem persists, please contact us.' There is a link on contact us but it doesnt go anywhere either. If someone could tell me the problem, and/or what I should do it would be very much appreciated as I really need to communicate with someone on there soon. Thanks x

A:I can't get on a certain website on Internet Explorer as its temporarily unavailable?

Try again tomorrow. If it persists, try a different web browser.
Clear your internet history.

Hi,

I recently made a website using Microsoft Publisher and then I edited it with a 30-day trial of Dreamweaver....I've put it on the web...it seems to be working great with firefox but on internet explorer its slow, images take a very long time to load, the page is off center, etc., here's the link to the website...thanks for any help!

http://www.hep.upenn.edu/Quarknet/summer2008/index.htm

A:My Website Works In Firefox But Not Internet Explorer.

Hmm, if you're seriously interested in creating websites you're probably better off learning HTML, CSS (&Possibly Javascript)... Using publisher is probably not the best of ideas, and i've never been impressed by dreamweaver.

If you're interested in learning HTML then i suggest the tutorials here: www.w3schools.com which can guide you through creating w3 standard websites...

As for the problem i see no reason that it should be lagging on one browser and not on the other. And your images are relatively small so i really don't see the problem.

Cheers,
Jamey
