Unable to connect - Internal Server Error only on desktop

Q: Unable to connect - Internal Server Error only on desktop

I posted this in Web Browsing forum but I am thinking this might be the more appropriate forum. I am unable to connect to one particular website http://www.cheerylynndesigns.com using my desktop(have had no problems prior to last night) but I CAN connect using my laptop. I getInternal Server ErrorThe server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.More information about this error may be available in the server error log.Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at www.cheerylynndesigns.com Port 80Both my Desktop and laptop are Windows XP Service Pack 3, on the desktop, I tried Firefox, Chrome and IE and they all get the same error. I ran CCCleaner, MalwareBytes Pro, Registry 1st Aid and upgraded to AVG 2012 and none of them found any problems. Firefox updated last night to 7.0 and I noticed the problem after the update. I tried System Restore to a point a few days ago with no change; oddly Firefox did not revert to an older version but stayed at 7.0 I undid the System Restore and am back to normal, still can't reach the website. This is an important site for me as I am on their design team and use it frequently. Thanks for your time. Sandy

Preferred Solution: Unable to connect - Internal Server Error only on desktop

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

When trying to dial in to MSN, I receive the following error msg:

"We are unable to connect to our sign-in server. Please check that your computer's date and time are set correctly, because this is needed to transmit your password."

The machine stays connected and I am able to browse, but cannot access email.

Obviously I checked and verified the date and time are correct. There was a significant spyware infection on the machine that I fixed, but the problem pre-dated removing the spyware. The only other issue I saw was the computer had a corrupted copy of Norton AV 2000 installed (this is a win98 machine).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is in the correct section but to me this seems to be a connection issue rather than a hardware issue.
We have an Epson XP-305 wireless all in one printer, which has been printing fine for the last few days and will successfully print with all of the laptops in the house except for one. This issue has began today and printing previously has been fine.

When attempting to print, for example, a webpage using the normal methods of printing, an error dialogue will show on the computer screen (printer remains in its normal state) stating 'Unable to communicate with the EPSON connect server. -2'.
I have tried printing on another laptop in the house and it works perfectly fine so it is identifiable as a problem with this specific computer - not the network connection for the whole house etc.

I have gone through our McAfee firewall settings and all services that are to do with the printer seem to have full access (and if they hadn't I changed it so they did), but still nothing. If it helps at all there seems to be some form of communication with the printer and the computer itself as when I ping the printer's IP address it comes back with normal replies. The network connection status sheet appears normal apart from the 'Epson Connect Status' being disconnected. However, when I try to load the Epson Connect set up program it says the service is unavailable and the connection failed.

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

i had check his accoutn properties , and all the settings are fine.

This is for a work computer, that I'm 99% sure someone with monkey hands messed up. Now I'm stuck trying to get it fixed.

When I try connecting to a wifi network, the computer attempts to connect for half a beat, and tells me that windows was unable to connect to the network.

I turned off the firewall, there isnt a virus scanner running, and I updated the internal wifi drivers. I even tried using my external USB wifi adapter.

I was able to tether his cell phone to the computer briefly. As far as I knew, he was able to connect that way. He just told me today that the tethered connection doesn't always work,

So whatever is going on, I assume has something to do with a windows software setting. Any ideas?

I can't do a system restore because there is some proprietary software installed that would take an act of congress to get reinstalled.

Used to work with out issue but for some reason now, even on my internal home network I'm not able to access the Mac from my Win 7 PC. Used to be able to access it from external also.

I have a dyndns account that is currently working and configured.

I am able to use VNC fine, as well as Google Chrome remote desktop app, and logmein. All internally and externally.

The router is set to a publice static IP assigned by my ISP.

I have my target machine configured on an internal static IP on my network.

I have made sure that port 3389 is forwarded via my router to the target machine static IP.

When I try accessing via Windows remote desktop I get a message that reads

Not sure what else could be preventing me from using this as it was before now. The reason I'm still still trying is that the Windows remote desktop worked far better than any other remote desktop solution.

I get crazy screen refresh lag using VNC to the point it's almost not worth using it. Even when used on my internal network.

Any help appreciated.

A:Windows Remote Desktop Unable to Access MAC From Internal or External

I am presuming that you have a static IP Address configured on the MAC? If not, you will need one.

The first thing I would do would be to download the latest version of the MS Remote Desktop and do a re-install of it:
Download Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac 2.1.1 from Official Microsoft Download Centre

Have you tried using Logmein? I've found it to be very stable.

500 Internal Server Error
nginx/0.6.39

Can anyone help me out? I'm truly mystified by this error. Certain sites I can log onto and some not. There is no reason (that I would be prohibited) I can't log in to these sites, just out of the blue.

I tried restarting etc. to no avail.

I have an Apple Tiger OS but I don't think that necessarily pertains to this problem isn't it a network thing would it be my carrier?

A:INTERNAL SERVER ERROR

nginx is a a web server software. It is not very popular and used by only a small percentage of sites. Unfortunately, due to the small size and portability of this web server, it is used widely by cyber criminals.

If you are getting this error on many many sites of a wide range., then you have to worry as it is highly unlikely that so many sites are running on nginx.

I would start by checking the DNS servers and proxy servers setting of your browser, OS and the router.

Hello,

I tried uninstalling StopZilla but I still can't open the pages. I am very frustrated! I am not a programmer and have no idea what to do as far as a server. I did contact the webmaster, but have not heard back. Is it something I did, as a result of the Stopzilla thing? Is there anything I can do to get rid of this?

When using Mozilla Firefox recently I encountered the problem of getting the following response from two separate secure https login servers:

Error Code 500.
Message: Internal Server Error.

I soon discovered that when installing the software supplied by my ISP, they caution the following when using a non-IE browser during the installation process, and instruct you to setup the connection settings for localhost:8080 with regard to their dial-up accelerator, otherwise the accelerator may not work properly.

This conflicts directly with the solution to the above Error Code 500 problem:

The solution is as follows with Mozilla Firefox:
Pull down: Tools->Options->General->Connection->Connection Settings
Choose: Direct connection to the Internet

I keep getting this message intermittently when surfing the web. My tech guy with my IP..helped me restore my settings to default but that still did not take care of the problem. I have been experiencing this for a few days...then today I did some updates to my windows and now it says that no output audio device is installed...so I cannot play music or anything...
PLEASE HELP!! This page also has several red x's where icons or pictures should be.

A:Solved: internal server error

I need more information. How are you downloading the newspaper? Is it some type of software I suspect that you need to download and install? Do you get this error message when you are trying to install it or download it? Internal server error indicates that you cannot reach the newspaper server in which case you will have to call the newspaper support or see if the newspaper has any info on how to download the paper. More info would help at this point.

I set up a page on YouTube and it worked at first, but after I went back and changed some settings in the Channel Settings and "MyVideo", I got this "500 Internal Server Error" message:

*****
Sorry, something went wrong.

A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation. Please report this incident to customer service.

Also, please include the following information in your error report:

LGQW7NkvQ8vb_K...twenty or so lines of gibberish that changes everytime I access the page...

*****
I reported it through thier site 6 days ago and haven't gotten a response or fix from them. Is there anything that I can try on my end, or is this something YouTube has to fix? Googling the error message just brought up a lot of blogs amused by the message, but it stopped being funny a few days ago. If YouTube has to fix it, does anyone have a phone number for their customer support? I couldn't find one. Thanks!!

A:YouTube - 500 Internal Server Error

This is a 'catch-all' error generated by You Tubes Web server. Basically something has gone wrong, but the server can not be more specific about the error condition in its response to the client. In addition to the 500 error notified back to the client, the Web server should generate some kind of internal error log which gives more details of what went wrong. It is up to the operators of You Tubes Web server site to locate and analyse these logs.

I think my pc has some real major problems and im ready to throw it out the window.

Recently it has just stopped allowing me to google search. If I know the web page I can go directly to the address bar and type it in but if I tried to search that same address in google or any other search engine I get the above error. I honestly think this pc has been infected by something. I have completely uninstalled msn, mind you the kids are not happy by that move but I just have no idea what is wrong with our computer anymore.

I have tried using these programs to fix the issues and I use AVG anti virus protection:

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Dr.Web CureIt!?
Combo Fix by bleedingcomputer.com

If you have any advice for me other than chucking it out the window, please let me know!!!

Thanx in advance

I have a Compaq Presario 700 laptop, running Windows XP. I was gone for laong weekend and let a guy wathcing my house use my laptop. He loaded and used AOL, AOL Instant Messenger and the Weather Bug.

Since I've been back (and even after deleting those programs) when I'm at msn.com via Internet Explorer I can no longer access my work email site. I use a Motorola Cable Modem.

When the worksite email page tries to load it shows the following message (in two separate boxes the full text appears twice): Microsoft Internet Explorer - An internal server error occurred.
I also receive an error with the error box showing--OdHost--CoCreateInstance failed Status is 0x80040154.

I need any help that can be provided, and I don't know if these errors are connected.

Thank you

A:Internal server error occurred

Don't you hate it when you loan your computer to someone and they install crap like the weather bug!! I'd go into the network applet, remove any dial-up protocols installed by AOL, and make sure my internet settings for TCP/IP are set correctly to automatic detection.

I got a new isp and router not to long ago and ever since i've been having problems with a lot of services like vudu / league of legends ect. The problem i'm having is that whenever i try to use them it gives me a error saying unable to connect to server. I try'ed to contact some of the services but they just told me to port forward and that didn't do anything. Vudu and other streaming services work on my ps4 but not my pc.

A:Unable to connect to server

Steps to take.

1. Make sure your PC is virus/malware free.
Download and run this: https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/
2. Make sure you have a proper Antivirus installed.
I suggest the following antivirus package: http://www.360totalsecurity.com/en/features/360-total-security/
3. Double check that your PC is configured on the correct network profile.
Since you are at home, it should be configured as such, "home". This can be configured here (Just follow up until Option 1, not further):
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/43629-network-location-set-home-work-public-network.html

Check your firewall. Make sure it is configured as recommended settings, which is easy enough to spot. This can be found in Control Panel.

Do the above and see where you stand.

Hi I am running the following laptop in my office, and have been connected to a local server and internet both via a router. So far there have been no problems with connecting to the internet, but the connection to the server does sometimes require me to disconnect and reconnect to the router for me to access the files on the server. Yesterday, I have totally lost connection to the server. All other PCs in my office are still able to connect to the server. My colleague who is using an identical laptop to mine can still connect to the server. I am still connected to the router/internet, but I cannot access the server. I have tried flushing my DNS, and a few other steps recommended online but nothing works. I even disconnected the mapped drive, but I am now unable to re-map it.

The details of my laptop are as below:

OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Single Language, 64 bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 61 Stepping 4

Hard Drives: C: 186 GB (26 GB Free); D: 263 GB (263 GB Free);
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC., TP500LB

Thanks.

Everything was OK but I needed to change the network name and password because of an apparent security breach; after doing this all equipment connected except this Laptop, All my devices except this Laptop can connect to the Internet except this one. The "Network Settings" shows the network but after clicking and inserting the Network key (password) I am still not able to connect. Running Windows Network diagnostics shows "Windows cannot communicate with the deviceor resource(primary server). The device is not responding to requests. Contact your network administrator or internet service provider." Service provider check on their end and reset modem without solving this problem and as said, all other devicesother HP laptop, desktop, smartphone, IPad, Nook are connected and no problems. Following a prior post, with no success. I really would appreciate any help as this "old guy" is at "wits end".
