Good evening, sir,I recently bought this new Lenovo Legion Y540 15 inch PC and I was satisfied with the lenovo vantage software. However, by updating everything (operating system, bios, drivers, etc ...), the software doesn't want to display the main menu anymore and leaves the message: "Services for Lenovo Vantage are being upgraded, please wait.".It's been now several hours, even whole nights by leaving it running but nothing, I don't have a low flow and everything seems to work but it can't display the main menu. I tried to reinstall it, but nothing has changed... (ps: I install it from the microsoft shop).Can you help me, cordially.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

I had swapped my Fn and Ctrl keys in the old Vantage software and decided I didn't like it after all.  Now there is a new version of Vantage on my laptop and that feature is gone.  Any ideas how I could swap it back?  This in on an ThinkPad X1.

Has anyone else's Lenovo Battery Power Conservation Mode stopped working? I have a Lenovo FLEX 5-1570 and Conservation Mode recently stopped functioning. Everything else appears to be working fine but now when I have my laptop plugged in, it charges to 100% and remains there. I've tried turning Conservation Mode off and back on. I've tried rebooting. I've tried reinstalling the BIOS and Chipset software. None of these fix the problem. The worst part is Lenovo "support". Lenovo hardware support is completely separate from Lenovo software support and they do not talk to one another. Lenovo hardware support provided no support other than suggesting trying to reinstall the BIOS and Chipset updates. (My best guess is their latest BIOS update created the problem.) Lenovo software support will not provide support for their own software, even though the laptop is under warranty, without paying extra for it! Knowing this now, I will never buy another Lenovo product.

Laura545, that topic thread appears to be slightly different than the one I'm experiencing. My Conservation Mode does not disable itself. It just no longer works even though Lenovo Vantage states it is enabled. Hi, I recently was prompted to do an optional update to the touchpad driver via Lenovo vantage. Since then the custom settings for the touchpad have reverted to the generic windows mouse settings. There used to be options to turn off taps, gestures etc. I have set the touchpad to low sensitivity for taps but it's still too sensitive when using the touchpad and it often clicks on things I don't want it to. I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled based on my serial number and still the same. I'd have thought this is how it is but knowing that I used to be able to turn things off like taps, then this is why I am trying to find a solution. So far haven't had much luck with support via Live chat with Lenovo or via email. Can someone help? I need taps turned off and want to be able to access those settings like just recently.

To resolve the issue, kindly uninstall the Lenovo Vantage app and the Lenovo System Interface Foundation app as well. Restart the computer then install the Vantage app again. Found similar discussion here.

This week I did install the windows update and since the update my Lenovo Vantage will not work. See picture below.I've contacted the dutch Lenovo technical support this morning (unknown error there) and they did advise me to delete the app , restart laptop and reinstall Lenovo Vintage.It will not work, same screen... I also did in the Lenovo app Recovery (herstel) , restart laptop,  didn't work, then reset (opnieuw instellen), restart laptop and didn.t work. I did see enough solutions but I'm not that super smart wizzkid, and my english is not that good enough to solve my problem.My laptop : V320 I7 Windows 10 version 1909 I do hope sombody can help me.Kind regardsElles

Hi guys, I want to install latest version of Lenovo Vantage. As I uninstalled old version Lenovo Vanage from Control Panel or CCleaner, the Lenovo vantage Serive still run in my laptop and when I uninstall Lenovo vantage service which state"unintall missing". When I installed  latest version Lenovo Vantage from Mircosoft Store, the Lenovo Vantage was still to be old version. I have tried many times, but the new versional can't be intalled properly. In this first screenshot of Lenovo Vantage running under Windows 10 (64) on my X1 Yoga (1st generation), please notice where it says that I need to install Sierra Wireless EM7455 Software - 10 (64), version 7.47.4743.0105.  However, in the second screenshot, please notice where the Installation History shows that Sierra Wireless EM7455 Software - 10 (64), version 7.47.4743.0105 was successfully installed already. Everytime I boot up and run Lenovo Vantage to check for updates, it tells me that I need Sierra Wireless EM7455 Software - 10 (64), version 7.47.4743.0105 so I let it install it. Everytime I install it, the installation appears to be successful and my computer reboots, but then after rebooting, Lenovo Vantage again tells me that (1) I need it, (2) I already have it. This is crazy.  In the third screenshot (looking at Windows Device Manager) I see the Sierra Wireless EM7455 Qualcomm Snapdragon X7 LTE-A. The fourth screenshot shows that it is disabled.  I will enable this and then retry to install the updated. I'll report back in a second posting on this thread whehter it works.  (I would leave this posting open and finish it later, but I'm afraid it woud all be lost when I reboot).   

A:ENDLESS LOOP: Lenovo Vantage Tells Me To Update a Driver That Vantage Says Is Already Up to Date.

After enabling the driver in Windows Device Manager, then again trying to update, the update was successful. After another reboot, Lenovo Vantage no longer show that this needs to be updated.  I'm no programmer, but it seems to me that the Lenovo Vantage update program ought to be able to see whether a driver is disabled and to tell the user to enable it in order to allow successful of updating of the driver. Lenovo Vantage worked perfectly on my T60P until recently. Now whenever I load it I get this error: "Services for Lenovo Vantage are installing, please wait. You are about to see the Windows User Account Control dialog. Please accept it to ensure that Vantage service is installed correctly." I've uninstalled and reinstalled, as well as uninstalled system devices as in a different thread, but nothing. I can't update anything or check Vantage and even an older version of Vantage that I tried is broken and keeps trying to get me to download Interface, which I have and installed. This is a disaster, please help.

I recently updated my BIOS from 99CN24WW to 99CN28WW and experienced some changes in my system, specifically the passwords. I can no longer access administrative options in BIOS; it?s as if the user password and admin password have switched. The admin password I enter allows me to boot the computer up, and enter BIOS, but all of the options are greyed out, safe boot is disabled, and the change admin password option is missing. I can change the user password, but that doesn?t help. The HDD passwords were switched as well, but those both seem to be working, they?ve just been switched.  I?ve read that it might be possible to clear that password by resetting whats stored in CMOS memory. So I tried removing the RTC battery for some time, but that only reset the system time. I learned that theres some dedicated non-volatile memory that the BIOS is stored on. On desktops there are usually some jumpers that can help to reset these passwords, and I have a friend who helped me identify the short pads that clear CMOS and ME (which I assume is memory). Before going that route, I wanted to see if there was anything lenovo could help me with. Even just confirming if I am looking at the correct short pads would be helpful. I'm willing to try flashing my BIOS again to the previous version if it will help, but I don't have a backup of that ROM. If necessary I can provide proof of purchase, ID, and whatever else you may need. (Assuming lenovo tech's read this forum)

As of today or yesterday night I can my laptop cannot connect to my external LG monitor. It used to work since I bought it a couple of months ago I am running on win10 Things I have tried  -- Connected the monitor with the same cable to another laptop --> it works-- Uninstalled the graphics driver / rebooted --> no change-- Rolled back the graphics driver / rebooted --> no change-- Used both usb-c and hdmi cables to connect to the monitor --> no change -- No secondary monitor detected in the intel graphics card panel and in win10 display settings -- Rebooted a dozen of times --> no change-- Installed all latest updates --> no change -- uninstalled some of the recent driver updates (not related to the display but you never know) --> no change  The monitor when connected lights up but then goes to standby mode. I can charge my laptop via the usb-c connection of the monitor but that's pretty much it I am really out of ideas on this one.

I ran into an issue with my Yoga 720 where the screen brightness wouldn't change after a recent Windows update. I fixed the issue by changing the driver to Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 but now the pen input on my Active Pen no longer works. I tried to change the BIOS to the latest version but it seems to already be the latest version. I'm Not sure what else to try other than reverting the BIOS to an older version but I can't find any old BIOS versions. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have been wondering why there are two methods to get updates for my X1 Extreme.One update method is via the Lenovo Vantage application (under Windows 10 Programs)The other method is to go to the Lenovo Support page (https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-laptops/thinkpad-...); I used the full URL with model number, but you can also use the main support page and use 'Dectect Product' which uses Lenovo Service Bridge to detect the laptop model and serial #. I have used both, but am probably going to stick with Lenovo Vantage. Which method are most of you using? PSell is similar in this regard. They also have multiple update apps / methods for some reason.

When I bought my Lenovo V330-15IKB laptop slightly less than a year ago, I used the System Update in Lenovo Vantage, and it showed the update history, including BIOS updates. For some reason, now when I check 'My device status', in the System Update section, there is a red cross instead of green check like the other lines, and the message 'System Update not found'. What is causing this, and how can it be fixed?

About a month ago i went on lenovo vantage and found the cool and quiet/intelligent cooling options successfully. Now when I went to lenovo vantage to find those options, they had disappeared and I can't access or find them at all. I already uninstalled and then installed lenovo vantage to see if it would help, but it still doesn't come up.

Hey all ... here is a screenshot of the current state of affairs: Note: this is the Win 10 Pro 64-bit OS, Version 1803 ... Windows Update is ' ... up to date'. I have tried various Lenovo Vantage Critical / Recommended / Optional update selections (in their respective groups and / or alone) and re-booted every time following failed system updates ... I cannot seem to break whatever log jam is occurring here. I thought perhaps trying the IME 11.6 Firmware - 10 [64] - V.11.8.55.3510 update alone, or, the ThinkPad BIOS Update - 10 [64] - V.2.26.1.18 update alone (they are both 'Reboot Required' updates) might get me past this issue, however, so far, no joy.  There is a 'Fully charged (100%)' battery installed in the system. Thanks for any insights offered, FFF P.S.  I would also be interested to find a Lenovo drivers list of older Synaptics Pointing Device (ThinkPad UltraNav / Touchpad) drivers for my P70 machine ... does such a historical driver resource exist?  The reason being, the more recent touchpad drivers are unsuitable for me ... too sensitive / 'sticky' (adjustment of various touchpad settings doesn't cure the usability issues) ... I much preferred the behaviours of the earlier drivers but can now only Roll Back to Driver Version: 19.3.4.202 (16-Jan-18) ... I'd much rather use the July 2017 driver version, whatever the version number was (possibly 19.3.4.112).

I read other posts and none specifically addressed this for the 920 and the use of what is actually a good Lenovo config tool seems to be poorly documented.   I would think it would be the same for any Yoga model with Windows 10 and Lenovo Vantage installed.   I can't seem to find a version for Vantage, so hopefully this works on all versions.    1) Find and open Lenovo Vantage on your machine (use Cortana if needed).   This is the Responsive view and yours may look different...don't worry, options are the same.  Click on Hardware settings  2)  Click on Input (again, responsive view...whatever view you have should have this button labeled the same)  3)  This will open the Hardware Setting - Input UI.   Under 'Function Keys' click on the one that is labeled 'F1-F12' (should look like below, highlighted in blue) to make that the the Function the default setting for those keys...to further clarify: it will now be a Function Key (F1-F12) by default.    With this change, you will press the FN+ one of the function key for the Hot Key option (e.g. FN+F1=mute/unmute, FN+F2=volume down, etc.)     4)  Your change is already saved, so you can now X-out (click X in the upper right) of the pop-up windows created by that were created

Hello i downloaded and installed lenovo vantage and lenovo setting app on my lenovo thinkpad x1 carbon (2nd generation) having windows 10 pro but both apps run for 5 to 7 seconds and closes automatically without doing anything. please tell me some solution.All my driver and software are up to date and i also downloaded new version of lenovo system interface 1.1.16.0 from lenovo support. and lenovo vantage and lenovo settings app are also updated. hey guys, a few days ago i made an update for windows 10. since then i had many different issues: first i realised that my finger-print- reader has stoped working, the FN-keys (despite volume and screen-brightness) stopped working and the trackpoint-middle key too. While i was able to revive the finger print reader and partly the trackpoint middle key, i couldnīt made the FN keys working. So i tried to get into the Vantage app to see if the update had changed some settings, but now whenever i try to open the app it alwas makes an problem screen, wanting form me to download the SystemInterfaceFoundation.exe . But after many retrys it still wount solfe the problem. I evan tried it with Lenovo Settings App, but there is the same problem.If some one can help me with this problem i would be verry happy Leon King P.s. i have an ThinkPad L380 Yoga with an I7-8550U, 16GB Ram running Windows 10 Education Version 1803

Uninstall Lenovo Vantage and Lenovo System Interface Foundation. After reboot install Lenovo Vantage from Microsoft store again, but not Lenovo System Interface Foundation. After opening Lenovo Vantage, there will be a link to latest Lenovo System Interface Foundation , download(should be version 1.1.16.0 or current version) and install it. 
 
Also to uninstall Lenovo System Interface Foundation see below

Hello everyone, I've been looking for a solution for this issue for about 2 months and still couldn't find a solution. When I first received my work T480s ThinkPad, Microsoft Store and Lenovo Vantage were installed and I had the Vantage Toolbar which includes the Battery Gauge and other Useful shortcuts like the Battery Threshold on/off and keyboard backlight control access from the toolbar (when you click on the battery gauge I had plenty of options). However, I got an issue in my laptop and sent it to IT department to format it. When it came back I discovered that there is a new company rule that prevented the Microsoft Store from being installed in all the Laptops/PC's in my company, and Lenovo Vantage was not pre-installed as they installed their own image on the ThinkPad. So I had to download Lenovo Vantage for Windows 10 from this link https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/hf003321 and everything works fine but unfortunately there is no battery gauge nor toolbar even when I right click on the taskbar and go to the toolbar dropdown. The battery gauge has no option to turn it on or off in the Vantage app as well (The threshold and the battery gauge RESET is there though). I had a hardware issue with my new Yoga 920 and have the motherboard was replaced the Lenovo Vantage app displays as an IDEAPAD.  Been round and round with support to no avail.    I am 100% certain - but with no way o prooving - that before the motherboard was changed the Lenovo Vantage app displayed as a YOGA920. Can another send me screen shots of their home page on the Lenovo Vantage app so I can show support I am not making this up?

I dont have a Yoga 920 but I believe you.  I think what happened to you happened to my nephew.  When they replaced motherboard on my nephews Yoga 720 they were supposed to update model number and serial number on the motherboard but they forgot to.  They did not.    Now Vantage wont work on my  nephews laptop since Vantage doesnt know which model number it is to lookup for software update.  If you go into BIOS is the serial number model number missing there too?  
Now the only way support says the laptop can be fixed is to ship laptop to repair center for repair centers mistake.
 
Below is my post from months ago in regards to my nephews Yoga 720.  I still have no resolution since he was at school at he needed it for studies and didnt have time to ship into Lenovo.

On the bottom of the Vantage screen it should show your device make, Serial number , Product number and BIOS version.  On my nephews 720 that information is missing since its missing from the motherboard.
