BSOD playing Heros of the storm. error Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

Q: BSOD playing Heros of the storm. error Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

hi,

good day. i was hoping you'll could help me with my problem. heres my computer setup.

i7-3770 @ 3.4
win 7 home ed 64b
16 gig Ram
nvidia geforce gtx 660ti
ssd 60 gig OS
gigabyte mobo - z77-d3h

So the bsod started while i was playing Heros of the storm, firstly my framerate started spiking from 1~70, then the bsod happened,

Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal
Stop:0x00000D1 (0x000000000000, 0x000000000000002, xffff880059e3c9b
***L1C62x64.sys - address fffff880059e3c9b

so i went through the forums and tried troubleshooting as much as i could, i did a clean windows install, updated my windows, antivirus(did a full scan), nvidia video drivers; flashed the Gigabyte mobo and updated its drivers.

i gave the computer a good clean, free of dust and clogs.
i ran a memtest for 15 hrs overnight and it came back with no errors, as well as a windows mem test as well, which was also, no errors.
after all the tests, i still get framerate drops, spikes.

please help, thanks in advance.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

It is Qualcomm Atheros LAN that caused the BSOD.

Hello, I've been receiving a sort of strange issue. While playing games such as LoL or HOTS, when searching for a game or loading in, my computer seems to tab out of the game. It keeps the cursor of the respective game while on the desktop unless I alt + tab, which gives me the normal cursor. When i click back on the game on the task bar, all it does is change the cursor back and I can't click on anything else. When I alt+ tab back out and close the window, log back in, and reconnect to the game, it goes through the loading screen, but as soon as it loads in to the game, my computer blue screens. It doesn't do this too, too often, but I've had it happen up to twice in one day. The stop error tells me that it's something to do with a new hardware I've installed, which I'm assuming is my graphics card. Also, I came upstairs after being away all day today, and as soon as I woke the computer up, it displayed the desktop for about a second and then went to the BSOD. I'll post the files necessary.

Now, I just got a "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" (I got this when I exited BF3)

I don't know what the problem is.

Greetings!

It always occurs during the gameplay. Either during the character selection screen (It's a platformer MMO) or sometime after I start walking around. The game freezes for a few seconds, makes noises and then all of a sudden, BSOD pops out.

It doesn't happen when doing anything else, just playing Elsword. Watching videos or playing other games doesn't cause a blue screen. I tried launching the game with no other software open (Such as Skype or browsers) but the problem still persists.

from those specs and your problem, id say lack of ram
I do not believe the install to be genuine
There's no way an OEM or a system builder would ship a W7 64bit Ultimate with only 2GB ram,
The report is also incomplete.

Welcome to Sevenforums.

Your crashes were caused by multiple problematic drivers. Firstly sr9usb.sys (some kind of Ethernet adapter), the driver needs to be either removed or updated. You may find an updated version here

Secondly your AVG security suite, a number of its networking drivers were directly involved. I would recommend removing it and replacing it by MSE or another security software of your choice.

Additionally run a scan of Malwarebytes

The AVG drivers are messing up with the QoS Packet Scheduler/networking stack, which in turn caused a number of crashes. The likely cause is the combination of the adapter driver wrongly 'interacting' with the system drivers and the AVG drivers. I would suggest plugging your cable directly in the Ethernet jack instead of using an adapter.

Hello Valk, welcome to SevenForums!

A few of the dumps are unknown image dumps, but there are two that show driver faults. The first shows nvlddmkm.sys as the fault (nVidia drivers), and then second shows cfosspeed6.sys as the fault (cFosSpeed - The Internet Accelerator).

First - Uninstall your nVidia drivers and update to the latest version. Update here.

*DO NOT USE BETA DRIVERS WHEN DIAGNOSING BSOD RELATED ISSUES!

Second - Uninstall whatever "cFosSpeed" is (I am not aware to what this is), or update the driver here. Currently, as of this post that update site for that driver is down, for me at least.

Hello everyone,

I just purchased a new computer, its a Lenovo Z750: intel i7 processor, Nvidia graphics geforce 850M, running windows 8.1 with 8gb of RAM and 1 TB of hard disk.

I got this computer less than a week ago. I was playing Civilization 4 and using the Nvidia graphics card (computer has two: nvidia and intel HD 4600, the latter comes with the processor) when my computer crashed and it prompted me the Blue Screen, the error it gave me is the same one as the title. I tried finding out what the cause of the problem may have been and all I read was that it most likely has to do with a driver issue.

I ended up finding a "partial" step by step solution through this forum. I gave it a shot and I am where I am now. This is the thread that provided the solution:

                         http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/176011/how-to-receive-help-diagnosing-blue-screens-and-windows-crashes/

The author says to use a debugging tool to read the .dmp file, which is what i did (I used WinDbg x64) and I extracted the .dmp file. So, basically I'm just following the authors instructions about posting my .dmp file . It would be great to get some help! If you have any further questions, please let me know! Below is the text to the dmp file.

Thanks again,

The problem appears to be related to your ethernet/wifi adapter driver. However, the .dmp files are corrupted, probably because of the poor choice of software you are using....more on that later.

For now, see if an update is available for your Atheros ethernet driver.

Do NOT use this software to update your drivers - get your drivers directly from the manufacturer's site. You have no idea whether the drivers updated using this tool have been tampered with, or are indeed the correct versions for your software.

Hello everyone !

I'm french (so there are things I might not understand...), and I hope you will help me in resolving my issue !
So here it is : I had several BSOD that says : DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and something else below : NETw5s64.sys
I don't know if these informations will help you...
I have Windows 7 x64 and it is an OEM, and both my hardware and OS is one year old.
I followed the BSOD posting instructions and attached the zip file asked.

Also I have a wifi USB flashdrive.. and I was wondering if this was related to my BSOD happening. Because it only happens when it is plugged in. I don't know...
And I'm sorry but my system health report is in French... I hope it will not bother you... I don't know how to make it in English.

Thanks for your help !

A:BSOD : Error DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

NETw5s64.sys is a driver for your wifi. Please visit the Intel Download Center ( http://downloadcenter.intel.com ) and get the latest WIn7 drivers for your Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN card.

After we're finished here, please visit the PC manufacturer's website and update ALL drivers.
Then visit Windows Update...Important Updates - and download/install Service Pack 1. This is important for the reliable functioning of your system.

Unfortunately there's an incompatibility between the French version of the MSINFO32 report and the English verison - so it won't display on my system. Please generate a .txt file of the MSINFO32 report and upload that.

More to follow once the memory dump files are finished running.....

You might try removing the network card and rebooting.

If that works, you might try reinstalling drivers for the network card or getting another one.

Hi all,

I am experiencing BSOD for several times already. The last BSOD error is driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. I have attached the report as per instruction on the BSOD posting guide.

Could you please help to find out what is wrong with my ASUS laptop?

Thank you

A:BSOD with error : driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

Hi rryanto.

Download Drivers for Atheros AR9285 and Windows 7 .... install it following Driver Install - Device Manager

Uninstall McAfee Security Scan Plus. You got it from an update to adobe flash player only. You dont need it.
Uninstall Advanced System Care too, it is a pure snake oil.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.
Click on the Start button
Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
Select the “Startup” tab.
Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
Apply > OK
Accept then restart.
Let us know the situation. If still network bloackge and BSODs continue to occur, we have to have a closer look to your other crapwares.

I am a complete newbie to this forum and quite frankly am shocked that people spend their time helping other people out like this. So first of all, thanks in advance to all of you wizards willing to help out!

My issue started a few months ago (dealing with another issue), I restored my computer to factory settings and re-installed Windows. Ever since then, my laptop randomly reboots (usually at night) once every two or three nights. The dump file indicates a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error caused by ntoskrnl. Zip files are attached.

Thanks again!

All crashes are related to your Juniper Networks software. I would recommend uninstalling it. If you want to use the software, you could try downloading a fresh, up to date copy and installing it again to see if the problems persist. If they do, and you still want to continue using it, contact the software developers to obtain assistance.

Ran an uninstaller several days ago. On the advice of the program I removed what were identified as remnants of old programs that had been uninstalled. I guess I removed some important files, because right after running the uninstaller things started going wrong. First I couldn't open MS Office. Then I noticed weird events in the internet browser. In the ad spaces I kept getting a request to install flash player.

I did a system restore, and I was able to open MS Office. However, macro controls and active x objects weren't loading, and macros would not run for the most part. Reinstalled flash and shockwave and that resolved the problem. I have active x video controls in some of my Office files. The flash was the problem. For whatever reason, this was affecting the macros. I soon discovered, though, that many of my programs had lost their functionality. They might open, but there was no function to them. An example is MagicIso and MagicDisc. I reinstalled all the programs that I noticed had a problem, and the problem went away.

I also had one hardware problem. The two USB ports on the front of the machine were out. There was power and they showed up in XP, but they wouldn't function. I downloaded and installed the chipset driver, and that problem was resolved.

Since this problem, I have had two BSOD which initiated full memory dumps. This most recent one is a 0x000000d1 if anyone is familiar with the various ones. Using Blue Screen View, I was able to determin... Read more

My computer has been intermittently crashing with the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error for the past 2 weeks. This usually happens after I open a folder with a large number of files or if I have 2-3 applications running at the same time. I've formatted the PC and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 and received the error after an hour.

I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit) on an i7, with 8GB's of RAM, a 560Ti GPU and two 1TB HD's. As far as I know none of my components exhibit any symptoms of being faulty (I could be wrong).

The Error report that I receive is:
Bug Check String: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Bug Check Code: 0x000000d1
Parameter 1: 00000000`00000010
Parameter 2: 00000000`00000002
Parameter 3: 00000000`00000000
Parameter 4: fffff880`010abc31
Caused by Driver: SCSIPORT.SYS
Caused by Address: SCSIPORT.SYS+dc31
Processor: x64
Crash Address: ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0

I've also attached a copy of my DMF files and MSinfo32.

Can someone please provide me with feedback as to WHAT could be causing this error and how I can go about solving it.

Thanks!

Have seen that your problem has 62 viewers at this point which tells me that there is a possibility that (as I) no one can figure out the problem. The only thing I can offer is that you go into "Settings" and do a "Refresh" to see if you can get rig of the problem. If this doesn't work then attempt a compete reinstall of your system.

We always hate when a new desktop/laptop has a problem. Also, before you attempt any of what I am suggesting you might give HP a call to see if they can help.

Hello,

I am having issues with getting blue screens.  My disk usage keeps hitting 100% and then the laptop will crash resulting in a blue screen and error code of DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (iaStorA.sys).  When Googling the issue I found the website.  I went through the steps outlined in the forum topic: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/

Attached are the resulting files from the above forum link.

Any help you can give would be very much appreciated.  This has been going on for about 2-3 weeks.  I have been in contact with Best Buy's Geek Squad numerous times---3 times I have chatted with them online and took my computer into the store.  They had my laptop for 5 days running diagnostics on it.  They called me and said everything checked out, they could not find anything wrong.  When I get the laptop back home and start using it again, same stuff continues to happen---100% disk usage, BSOD, error code.

Please let me know if I failed to provide any information.
Thank you!

Your UEFI/BIOS (version G750JM.206) dates from 2014.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  If you are able to install the update through Windows (without booting from an external drive), then go ahead and update it.  WARNING - if the computer might shut down during this procedure, please don't do it, as this may physically damage the computer and prevent it from booting. If you find an update, post back if it's not letting you install it - there's a bunch of different ways that Asus does BIOS updates. Although you appear to have a reasonable number of Windows Update hotfixes for this version of your OS, please double check for any new Windows Updates.  It only takes one update to cause a problem, so it's essential that you have all of them.  The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating. There are lot's of Windows Update failures in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report. I don't have a lot of confidence with USB and wireless networking.Whiel this isn't your situation, I have to wonder about the USB software for your Netgear Router.  Are you using anything that's plugged into the USB port on the router?  If not, please uninstall the Netgear USB Control Center software. If you need it, you can download and install it at a late... Hi lmarchan & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

Sorry for the delayed response. Unfortunately, the dump files contained in the ZIP file are extremely old and there are no new dump files
But, the event viewer says that there has been a memory dump which is generated at the location - "C:\Windows\Memory.DMP". Please ZIP the file and upload it to some 3rd party file hoster (Like OneDrive, MediaFire etc) and post back the link so that the dump file can be analysed.

Also, if you are facing trouble updating the system, I would suggest posting in the Windows Update forums and getting this issue resolved before proceeding further -

Hello there! I've been experiencing some issues with my laptop. It appears that whenever I am using uTorrent I receive a BSOD. I spotted a similar thread on here, and the recommendation was to update the wireless network adapter's drivers, however according to my Device Manager, my drivers for the wireless adapter are up to date. I already ran a Memory Diagnostics Test and it came up with nothing, so I figured I'd try my luck here.

However, when I attempt to run the SF_Diagnostics_Tool.exe file that I downloaded from here, it immediately says that it has "stopped working." This is why I have no dump file attached to this post. My hope is that somebody can help me out with the SF Diagnostics tool problem so that I can attach a dump file, and then my BSOD error can be properly examined. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

Hello,

I'm running Windows7 on a HP Elitebook. I've been getting the blue screen of death regularly for the past week. It is severly affecting my productivity and I hope someone can help. It mentions the following error:
driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

The error code is:
0x000000D1

I think it may have to do with problems with my driver. I've attached the mini dump that was created from the last crash as a zipped file. Could someone provide me with more information on how I can resolve this?

I also have the system event log for the crash if that helps?

You are running an Acer Product ID (PID) on a Gigabyte board.
This makes your installation counterfeit.
Troubleshooting a counterfeit installation is useless as it is not known what has been modified to your system.
A counterfeit installation contains heavily modified code which causes the system to behave in unexpected ways.
For this reason, analyzing counterfeit systems is unreliable and most analysts won't try it.

OS Configuration: Standalone Workstation
OS Build Type: Multiprocessor Free

I recommend to install a genuine copy of Windows.
If, after you have installed a genuine copy of Windows, you still get BSOD's we'll be happy to assist you.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for helping me troubleshoot this issue!

The main issue I'm having is I'm getting a "driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (wdf01000.sys)" BSOD in Windows 8.1. This happened about 6 or 7 times so far in the last 2 days, each time disrupting video projects I was rendering, setting me back hours each time it happened. This is how I make my living, so this is unacceptable. I also had a "cancel_state_in_completed_irp" BSOD earlier today. And just moments ago I received an, "attempted_execute_of_noexecute_memory" BSOD immediately after I ended the "Speccy" program via Task Manager (ie, End Task). I did this because after I closed it it still "seemed" to be running in task manager but wouldn't open when I double clicked its icon on my desktop.

My secondary issue came about when I tried turning my external hard drive into an internal one. I thought it would be plug and play. Not the case though, I'd have to initialize/format the drive which would delete data, which I want to keep, so I decided against it and put the drive back into its external enclosure. Now the computer only recognizes the drive *some* of the time. When the drive is not recognized I get an "Unknown USB Device (Set Address Failed)" notice in "Device Manager", plus "WD Drive Management devices (WD SES Device)" doesn't show up at all, it only shows up when the drive is recognized (screenshots included in linked zip file). I ordered a second internal drive so when that comes i... Read more

ASRock 3TB+ Unlocker v1.1
ASRock eXtreme Tuner v0.1.335
ASRock XFast RAM v2.0.28

These are nothing but troubles ( adds a lot of unnecessary drivers) and the XFastUSB seems to be directly involved in the crashes.

Hello,

I'm running Windows7 on an ASUS K53S. I've been getting the blue screen of death regularly for the past week. It is severly affecting my productivity and I hope someone can help. It mentions the following error:

The error code is:

I think it may have to do with problems with my uninstalling McAfee Antivirus and Windows Update. I first got the first BSOD 3 weeks ago, a few days after uninstalling Mcafee. Meanwhile, I observed that some components of McAfee were still in my computer so i unistalled them. When I restarted, all my gadgets stopped working so I did a system restore. After that, I was able to get back my gadgets but those mcafee components stayed in the computer. Also, the restore point apparently uninstalled a few windows updates and after that, windows could not search for any new updates. Just to point out that these BSOD really became more often after I did the system restore which may have to do with WINDOWS UPDATE.

I've attached the mini dump that was created from the last crash as a zipped file. Could someone provide me with more information on how I can resolve this?

I also have the system event log for the crash if that helps?

Rgds,

2 months ago I installed Windows 7 Pro 32 bit over Windows XP Pro on a Dell Optiflex 745. The first install did not install completely. I was getting BSODs and shutdowns and I reinstalled again a few weeks later with a new ISO DVD. The install was clean and I installed all the Windows updates in order of release. I have been continually troubleshooting sudden shutdowns and BSODs ever since. I sought out help on the Microsoft Community Forum and it seems they have given up on me. One problem is my dump files have not been usable.

My Microsoft thread is here:
Random blue screen errors - Microsoft Community

I have updated every driver I can find via Dell and Intel's sites. I ran SlimDrivers and it finds no out of date drivers. There are no conflicts in my Device Manager. I added another 2 GBs of Ram and have done every memory test I know of without error. I've run chkdsk and SFC /scannow countless times with no errors.

I couldn't get some MS updates to install over the weekend. I did an "upgrade" installation and installed all the Windows updates in order again.

The requested DM log file is attached. I have a couple of zipped dump files also. Not sure if they are any good though. Server timed out trying to attach to this thread but links to them on my One Drive are here:

Hello.

I have a laptop here which just keeps on restarting, it's pretty much in a reboot-loop and on booting it splashes a BSOD. The exact error is: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (and the cause seems to be "stornvme.sys"). I took a picture of it, seen below:

Laptop's brand is MSI, and the exact version is: MSI GS60 6QE-098XPL. Here's the synopsis what got me to this BSOD-error.

It's my friend's laptop. It came with no OS preinstalled. My friend wanted a Windows 7 installation and he also had an installation disc, and from the contents of the disc I made a bootable USB. The MSI's website has Windows 7 drivers, so I thought I'd give it a go.
But it didn't go that seamlessly, as with the older laptops or PCs. So I booted up the USB-stick, but the Windows 7 setup couldn't list the SSD drive. But I wanted to install the W7 to the SSD, not the HDD. So after hours of googling and trying different solutions, I finally found this guide.

So the guide told me to get NTLite, slipstream a Windows Update file that would make the setup recognise the SSD, copy 2 files from the Windows 10 iso and replace them in the Windows 7 folder. Then I copied the files to the USB and miraculously it listed the SSD. So I successfully installed Windows 7 on the SSD, but after the setup went to restart, I thought it'd continue with the installation, but it'd just start in the reboot-loop, displaying this BSOD, which I specified above in the post.

So I googled about this BSOD. T... Read more

Hi starsplash,

It would be better to return the laptop, if possible.
A system that BSODs in safe mode is almost always caused by faulty hardware, in very rare occasions by very corrupted OS, I have never seen an OS that much corrupted.

My PC power surges when I play certain games such as Heroes of the Storm, Metro: Last Light, Planetary Annihilation and Saints Row: The Third (They're just examples, it also happens with many more games). However this doesn't happen with every game. When it surges my PC turns off and reboots to an 'American surge protection' or something like that. I think it has something to do with my power supply but I'm not completely sure and would like some help. If it is the power supply, can you suggest what power supply I would need to fix this problem?

Here are my PC specs:

Processor (CPU) Intel? Core?i5 Quad Core Processor i5-4570 (3.2GHz) 6MB Cache
Motherboard ASUS? H81M-E: Micro-ATX, LG1150, USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs
Memory (RAM) 4GB KINGSTON DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (1 x 4GB)
Graphics Card 4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 770 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready
1st Hard Disk 2TB 3.5" SATA-III 6GB/s HDD 7200RPM 64MB CACHE
1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive 24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ?R/?RW/RAM
Power Supply CORSAIR 550W VS SERIES? VS-550 POWER SUPPLY
Processor Cooling INTEL STANDARD CPU COOLER
Sound Card ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Wireless/Wired Networking 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT - AS STANDARD ON ALL PCs
Operating System Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit w/SP1

I'm not sure if I included everything I need to or if I put things in that I didn't need to but that's what I think I need to put on from my order sheet. Thank you

Hello!

This does sound like it could be your PSU that's failing. It probably can't keep up as much.

Some ways to test it would be using a multimeter or you can purchase a power supply tester to perform an automatic PSU test.

If the PSU happens to be faulty, replace it immediately and never try to fix it yourself.

Good luck!

Hello sevenforums Community,
since about month im getting Bluescreens, which never happened before in 4 years.
It usually get the when i watch streams on twitch (which didnt happen since 1 week on my account though) or currently while playing League of Legends.
But they dont come every game, so i can for example play 4 games in a row and nothing happens or i get 3 one them in one game. Also they can come at any game time. It is kind of random to me how they appear.
The last two days I got about 7 so i really need help from u guys.
In the last two weeks i always got this message (STOP : 0x00007A (0xFFFF6FC50023598,0xFFFFFFFFC000000E,0x000000002A991880,0xFFFFF8A0046B30BE) ) without a sound and the pc didnt instantly reboot.
But the last days the Blackscreen stayed like 4 second so i couldnt see the error message on it, so i dont know if the error changed but there was this buzzing sound.

I really appreciate help (and sorry for my english skills ^^)

Is there any particular reason that you are not using UEFI or Secure Boot?
In general this model comes with UEFI and Secure Boot enabled.

Have you set the time and time zone on your system? (the flag on your profile says Minnesota, but the time is set to Pacific Daylight time).

The system also comes with a 1 tB HDD, but now has an SSD installed - did you have someone install the SSD and move the operating system for you? (We do this at work quite often - normally we do it by cloning the hard drive to the SSD).

I'd suggest running a memory diagnostic, as one of the memory dumps has an error that is suggestive of memory problems (hardware): Memory Diagnostics You may also want to run the free hardware diagnostics from here: Hardware Diagnostics

Beyond that, I'd suggest visiting the Asus website and updating ALL of the drivers there.
To start with, go by the dates on the drivers in the memory dump that I've listed below.

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Usually, the first of every month you can anticipate new variants of: Sober, Bagle, MyDoom, and Mytob to all emerge. The ISC sees 3 potential factors to be EXTRA watchful this week for new threats to emerge:Internet Storm Center -- Possibility for disaster?http://isc.sans.org/diary.php?date=2005-07-03At the Internet Storm Center, we sometimes see dark clouds gathering on the horizon. Sometimes it doesn't come to a real storm, sometimes it does. Unlike the real storm centers we don't have mathematical models to help in our predictions just yet. Main problem is that it would mean we'd have to predict human nature.1. As a first ingredient we have the probing and even at least one worm/botnet on the loose attacking unpatched phpBB installations.2. As a second ingredient we see the 0-day exploits and the lack of a real patch from Microsoft for the javaprxy.dll . This makes the most popular browser potentially seriously vulnerable as this exploit matures. 3. The final ingredient is timing: in the US it's Independence Day tomorrow, which most probably only leaves a skeleton staff at key places.

The point about a SKELETON staff seems a GRAVE situation.
