I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 300 11IBY laptop. It had windows 10 installed on it. I formatted it and clean installed Windows 8.1. I downloaded all the drivers from the Lenovo support site. However, the I2C and GPIO driver is not getting installed. It says "The platform is not supported". Also, the touchscreen is not working at all. What should I do?

After updating Windows to newest compilation - Windows 10 Version 1511 ... my touch screen stoped working on Lenovo Yoga 300-11IBY. I tryed to install all the drivers from Lenovo webpage again, but it didn't helped. In system properties computer is showing there is no touch device installed. No unknown devices in system manager as well. Lenovo...please make some patch for that problem!  Returning to older compilation is not possible for me.

Hello guys!

I have been chocking on this problem for 2 days now, to no avail. The short story: Tried to do the built in free windows upgrade on the computer (from windows 8.1), but something went wrong, and I ended up in the "Please restart to being the installation of windows 10" loop.
After trying several workarounds, I gave up, and opted for a clean install of the product from a USB drive.

The install went smooth, and most things were working out of the box, but not the touch screen. Then I went to the product page, and downloaded all the drivers there are. Installed every one of them, but still no touch input. Tried some troubleshooting tips, like trying to find the driver in the device manager, but it's not present there. So far, I tried everything there was in the first 4 pages of google (with an insane amount of search combinations).

Nothing...Then I read it, that several other people had this issue, but with an earlier insider build of windows. They said the only solution there was, is to use the built in recovery, but out of routine, with a clean install, I deleted every other partition... not giving a thought something could go wrong.

Now the device has no touch input, and sicne that was one of the main sell points, I'm not too happy about it.

The System window clearly states, that there is no pen or touch input available.

It's a fresh buy, so it's still under warranty, and if nothing else works, I will return it, ... Read more

When reinstalling the operating system, when I wanted to install the drivers I could not with one in specific, the driver that allows you to use the touch screen, and the driver that modifies the way I am using the laptop (laptop to tablet) Could someone pass me the drivers of these functions? For windows 8. Thank you!

Hello all, I have a brand new X1 Yoga (20FQ000RUS) with a fresh installation of windows 10 enterprise x64 on it which does not respond to any touch functionality, and gives an error of "A supported tablet was not found on the system" when I try to do the wintab driver installation with the lenovo installer. My device manager has the following entries in the Human Interface Devices section:-GPIO Laptop or Slate Indicator Driver-HID PCI Minidriver for ISS-HID PCI Minidriver for ISS-HID PCI Minidriver for ISS And the following entries in the Sensors section:-HID Sensor Collection V2-HID Sensor Collection V2-HID Sensor Collection V2-Sdo Sensor V2 Can anyone tell me what these sections contain on their functioning setups, as well as the "Location" information of their Wacom device (or whatever it's listed as)? If I manually set one of the HID sensors or minidrivers to the Wacom driver, devices for the pen etc show up as well but I still have no touch capabilities. As a side note, I ran the lenovo hardware tests via the LSC and got a failure of the "USB test" (result code WMB01B008-WL7XEL) for which I have submitted an eticket. Is this potentially the cause of the touchscreen failure? It seems like it could be a separate issue. Thanks for the help!

Hi Msbenz,

Welcome to Lenovo Forums.

Open your Start menu (or press the Windows Key) and simply type ?Services?. There will be an icon at the top of your list which appears to be two small gears with the name ?Services.? Click that and look what happens next.
there is a permanent fix for this issue by disabling the service called ?TabletServicePen? if you?re using an Intuos/Bamboo or ?Tablet PC Input Service? if you?re using a Cintiq.

In some case, it is reported removal of the wacom touch drivers fixed the problem. That would be under device manager.

If you have a persisting issue after the updates of the drivers and would also have same error codes from the online diagnostics, then best to call Lenovo service center for recommendations.

Please let me know your findings.

Regards,
Shashi

I just received my brand new ThinkPad L380 Yoga yesterday and went through all of the regular set up steps.  The touch screen worked when I first opened it, but then after Windows 10 finished installing, the touch screen and pen no longer worked.  I have done all of the troubleshooting I've found listed in the forums and on the website aside from sending it back, but it still doesn't respond to touch.  The change happened right after Windows 10 was finished updating.  Is there something I'm missing?  Do I need to get an external mouse to try to disable the touchpad?  I'd really like to avoid sending it back if possible.  I know it has to be something I did and I just don't realize it.

Hi there! Need help. Obviously. Hope people still look at this fourm... I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 1470 Laptop. Its...a few years old AND it is out of warrenty (so please no recommendations for sending it into Lenovo Repair Service). It is running the Windows 10 update, though it initally came with Windows 8.1  A few days ago I factory reset the computer to wipe it of all files and such. When the reset was finished it updated and reloaded itself with Windows 10. Everything seemed fine at first... HOWEVER, the touch screen is not responding to anything. I can fold the laptop into tablet mode, the physical keyboard will shut off but it will not respond to touches by any means. The Pen & Touch information in windows settings says that Pen & Touch are not available for this device. I have checked the drivers and the HID-Compliant Driver is NOT THERE (it was at first but it was greyed out and gave me a code 45).  Tent mode also doesn't work. I can flip the computer over, and Auto -Rotate will appear on the screen but the screen never flips. I have searched high and low on Google and Lenovo but perhaps I am missing something, a driver update or ...anything. Help would be great great greatly appreciated. Just to recap:-Lenovo Yoga 3 1470-Fresh Factory Reset-Windows 10 64-bit-Touch Screen Not responding-Tent Mode Screen Not Rotating-HID Touch Screen Driver Missing *EDIT: Just realized I made a similar post like 2 months ago...wow. Lenovo support site currently has version 7.3.4.25 of the Tablet driver. Windows Update seems to be pushing this same version out. The Lenovo installer says installation failed. It does not provide any other reason. Windows Update has tried to install this daily for the last few days for me, without success, and always reporting an error code. Among others, Error 0x800f0234. While not being able to update the driver is usually not a problem, this process has completely broken the pen and touch functionality of the X1 Yoga. Neither works. Device is recognized as an unknown device. Driver updates do not work, and there is no driver rollback option available. Removing the device and having it detected again does not solve the problem. I found a direct link to Wacom drivers here in the forums in another topic. I downloaded tablet driver 7.3.4.28, which installed correctly and is now working again. Wacom drivers: http://us.wacom.com/en/feeldriver/ (I picked up the link in the following post: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-X-Series-Laptops/Thinkpad-X1-Yoga-Battery/m-p/3615803)

I'm going to use voice activation and an extended pen like a wand to touch the screen and drag documents between screens. Firstly, Just wondering if anyone has seen any limitations with this kind of set up? I'm aware i may need more than two Hdmi slots for example.   Secondly, will i be able to drag documents between monitors without using the mouse ie will my finger or pen allow me to do so?  Thanks for your help. MP

Hi, I'm an IT Tech and I've been working on a Yoga 300-11IBY for about a week now. I originally replaced a broken screen on the laptop and after reconnecting everything, was met with a black screen.  Now this is where things get weird... I can plug the laptop into to an external screen via HDMI and get display out.  The new screen in the laptop itself also responds to touch (i.e. I can control the mouse on the external screen by swiping the laptop screen).  Windows doesn't detect the screen at all (as far the laptop is concerned, only the external screen is plugged in) from within display settings or the Intel graphics control panel, yet the digitizer clearly works.  I am very confused by this and am at a bit of a loss as to how to proceed. I've tried resetting to factory defaults, reseating everything and all combinations of unplugging the other sockets on the LCD cable to no avail.  Also, when I unplug the laptop from the AC, the screen briefly flashes white (for a fraction of a second), yet at all other times remains black. This is driving me crazy, so any advice would be hugely appreciated! Thanks very much

Remove AC and Battery and hold the power button down for 15 sec.
Turn the computer back on and see if the Touch capability is now detected under System Properties,

ISSUEThe 720 touchpad and touchscreen are the worst.  This issue started out of the box before I had even gone on line.  When the touchpad does work, the right click/left click distinction doesn't work and I have to use the screen, when it's working, for the long hold until the right click options appear. When the screen is working, the ability to close a window and touching it just the right way is dubious at best.  I've tried modifying sensitivity, etc, in the control panel, but there is no difference.   When both window and touchpad stop functioning, I plug in an old HP mouse I have, but when I'm mobile, this means running the mouse down my leg if I don't have a surface to place my laptop upon.  And it also means carrying a mouse with me everywhere I go.  My line of work is often standing and walking with clients so  not really possible in my line of work.   RETURN/REPAIR OPTIONS AREN'T OFFERED OR ARE NOT PRACTICALTo back up a bit, I attempted to return this to BestBuy, but was four days beyond the allowable return date.  I contacted Lenovo, but it's all about mailing it in or turning the laptop over and being without anything for a few days.  Hard to find those few days.  I've tried to live it, but it's been an enormous killer of productivity, not to mention incredible frustration and some embarrsassing typos.    PAST YOGA BUILD WAS GREAT - WHAT WENT WRONG WITH THE 720?My last Yoga 710 wa... Hey everybody, I just received my P40 last week as a replacement for another Lenovo device. So far, everything seems to work fine with one exception: When I turn the screen over to the "tablet position", the touch screen and the touch pen show erroneous behaviour.a) As soon as I make the first input with the touch pen, I cannot make any further input with my finger, so the touch input is simply turned off. The Windows setting to ignore touch input when the stylus is used is not active.b) When I try to tap buttons at certain areas of the screen, especially at the upper edge, the cursor of the stylus starts jumping around and shows up at the lower edge of the screen. That means that when I for example tap on the "X" symbol in the upper right corner to close a window, I actually click on some of the symbols in the system tray in the lower right corner. This problem stops occuring as soon as the angle between the two case parts (screen and keyboard) reaches/exceeds approx. 40. It does not matter if Windows is in "Tablet" or "Desktop" Mode. I already tried to manually install another Wacom driver mentioned at https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-S-Series-ThinkPad-Yoga/Wacom-Tablet-Service-for-ISD-Driver-Win... and https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-P-and-W-Series-Mobile/P40-Yoga-issues/td-p/3293985. I had no luck trying driver versions 7.3.3.12, 7.3.4.8 and 7.3.4.13. I would really appreciate your help since this issue makes working in the tablet position... Read more

Hello, My Thinkpad Yoga is connected to a large display through ThenkPad docking station.  Its lid is closed.   During my work, from time to time I see random touch clicks on my screen, and random opening of menus.  It is clear that the touch screen is active although the lid is closed.  When I open the lid, and still connected just to the 2nd display (large screen) display the phenomena stops.  Worth noting is that although only the 2nd display shows an image, the laptop touch screen is still sensetive to touch.  This is I guess why the random touches show up on the screen -- it feels the keyboard not fingers. I expect the touch screen to be disabled while the lid is closed or when projecting only to the 2nd screen.  The solution of opening the lid while connected to the docking station is not acceptable.  Lenovo's local support suggestion to disable touch for the Yoga is also not acceptable -- people purchase Yoga to get Touch.   A solution please! Yaron

Today my digitizer stopped working for the first time since I purchased my Thinkpad Yoga several years ago. Touch screen still works as normal. I don't think it's software related because I dual boot Windows and Ubuntu and it doesn't work in either operating system. Before it would work in both operating systems, and I haven't had any updates since it was last working. Is it possible for the digitizer itself to be broken somehow? I haven't dropped the device or spilled any liquid on it. I've read elsewhere on the forum that the digitizer is powered by a capacitor that is charged within the laptop. Is this still true for Thinkpad Yogas? Are there steps I can take to diagnose the issue?

If so, have a look on the following post, this should show if your device has been tested with the update yet:

From what I can see, your unit does not seems to have made the list, which leads me to believe that this will be the cause of the issue, I would recommend that you revert back to the previous version of Windows, and observe if the fault still occurs or not.

Hi @natalia1818, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I read from your posts that you are having an issue with your HP Pavilion 11x360 PC Notebook and the Touchscreen not working correctly. You might need to check that the Touchscreen is enabled on the Notebook. Here is a listing on how to do that: Press the Windows logo key + X.Select Device Manager from the list.Click the little arrow next to Human Interface Devices to expand the list.Click the touch screen driverRight-click, and select enable from the list.Confirm you want to enable. You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook. I suggest at least 4 days ago as it will make sure to catch what changed the settings. When performing a System restore please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices as they can cause issues. Please let me know how this goes. If this post helps you to resolve the issue you can click the Thumbs up icon to show gratitude! Thanks.

My laptop's touch screen function stopped working just a while ago. When I shut down my laptop, tere's this windows update that lasted for more or less an hour. After that, the touch screen just stopped working. Note that there hasn't been any program installation prior to the antivirus uninstallation - all programs and files contained in the laptop is as it was the moment I bought it. *Laptop's running Windows 8 Single Language

A:S410p Touch Screen Stopped Working

hi klawdin,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

Open Device Manager and Uninstall all That start with HID- under Human interface devices.
REstart the system and see if that works.

Also Perform a Power Drain.

Hope this helps
Cheers!
