I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

It looks like Lenovo (Intel) has one again updated Thunderbolt related drivers. I noticed Window s Update installed these: Intel- System Intel- Software Component Intel - Extension All are labeled 1.41.789.0 Checking the Net, this seems to be Thunderbolt related. Indeed looking at the Intel Thunderbolt App, I see the Controller version is the same 1.41.7890 I have a P43s.https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/ca/en/solutions/ht508988https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-p-series-laptops/thinkpad-... OK it looks like Lenovo is also suggesting an even newer version. Hi, I have also posted this in Lenovo's forum, but perhaps someone here have a solution as well. Recently my HDD crashed, so I plugged in a new HDD with a fresh Windows 7 Professional 64bit. I am trying to install the driver for my ATI HD 5730. I downloaded the driver from the Lenovo support page, installed it, and it installed sucessfully. I clicked "view log", all successful;I went to the device manager, it recognized the HD 5730 as well as the Intel Graphic. CCC is in the context manual of the desktop, but it doesn't open. However, the resolution of the screen remains at 1024 x 768. When I restart the computer, it says something along the line of "No ATI graphics driver is installed, or the ATI driver is not functioning." I tried to uninstall it, from program files, then cleaned the rest with Driver Sweeper, and then cleaned registry with Glary Uitility. Reinstalled, and same result. I even tried to uninstall all display drivers, and let Windows find the "new" hardware. Windows recognized and install the driver for the Intel Graphic, but failed to install anything for the 5730. I searched the web and I can't seem to find a solution that works. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Computer specs:

hi Reichtofer,

Thanks for Posting!

Try opening Control Panel / Uninstall a program and uninstall the Lenovo Energy Management / Power Management Software,
   Restart the system if prompted.

Now download and install this
     Lenovo Power Management Driver

If  after the installation you were able to see a shortcut icon on your desktop,
try navigating Crogram Files or Program Files x86
now look for Lenovo Folder and It shouldbe located there.

Hope this helps
Cheers!

Upon recieving my X1 Yoga OLED, I had an issue where every time I woke the computer from sleep or switched to tablet mode, the display would flicker black a few times and the computer would sometimes restart. I'd get a critical event, kernel event 117. A little research led me to update the display driver. It was already up to date, but reinstalling the Intel display driver fixed the issue. Soon after, I noticed that changing thecolor settings made no change to the display. I knew it worked prior to reinstalling the display driver. As advised in another thread here, I reinstalled the system interface foundation driver (again, was originally up to date), and this fixed the color settings issue. However, the original issue came back! I'd obviously rather have the display working properly, so I again reinstalled the display drivers. Sure enough, the color setting issue is back. Seems like these two drivers aren't playing well together. Any ideas on how to get around this? Thanks.

Hi good people,

So, I'm on here like thousands of others with intermittent wifi issues. I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 yesterday and everything works very well except for losing my wifi connection every 30 minutes to an hour.

My wireless adapter is a Broadcom 802.11n
the driver I'm using is Broadcom version 6.30.223.256

I've updated the drivers and the same loss of wifi happens. I've rolled back the drivers and the same loss of wifi happens. I've even tried a driver directly from the lenovo site that is a Cybertan Liteon driver that is the latest version for windows 8.1.

I've also unchecked the box in the power management page. Then rebooted.

I've also used all the commands, in the command prompt admin that start with 'netsh'. Then rebooted. The same thing still happens.

So, I'm up for new suggestions including compatible drivers from different manufacturers.

I'm really hoping there's a Z585 user on here that has solved this issue. According to the Lenovo web site this particular laptop has the latest drivers on the site and none of them are working so far.

A:Lenovo Z585 losing wifi after driver update, driver rollbacks, 'fixes'

First, is your laptop supported for windows 10 on lenovo website.....meaning are there drivers and software packages for it? Have you tried downloading the 8.1 driver for it and then running it in compatibility mode?

Hi! The Thinkpad X1 Yoga 2017/2:nd edition has an OLED panel option. Lenovo's download page for this model, https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/hk/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-laptops/thinkpad-... , offers a driver "Intel "OLED Panel Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - ThinkPad X1 Yoga (Type: 20JD, 20JE, 20JF, 20JG)", 1.0.0.5, 2017/10/02, in the Display and Video Graphics section. In Windows, the device appears as "Intel(R) OLED Panel Driver" under "System devices" in the Windows Device Manager. Normally I'd think all needed to drive a display is the graphics driver (e.g. "Intel(R) HD Graphics 620" under "Display adapters") and a monitor file for resolution, frequency and color calibration ("OLED Display 2560x1440" under "Monitors"). So, why do we need an "Intel(R) OLED Panel Driver", and what does this device actually do?

Since you have to hunt around different Lenovo sites (and other sites) to find out about these softwares, I decided to make a post to get feedback from actual Yoga owners on how these programs interact, what they do, which ones are prerequisite, and which ones are unnecessary. Please don't take this as a blanket answer. This is just what I have found. It might be right - it might be wrong. I'm looking for others to post their experiences as well. Lenovo System Interface Foundation Driver - Necessary prerequisite (missing driver in device manager without it). It allows the Lenovo Utility and Lenovo Companion to work. Lenovo Yoga Mode Control - Necessary if you want to use your yoga to seemlessly change between all the different modes (laptop, tablet, tent, stand). This software is responsible for autorotating and putting Windows into tablet mode. Lenovo Utility - Recommended(?) This one I'm not too sure on. I remember that I was missing some function that I wanted but I can't remember what it was now. Maybe battery cycle count and health? Lenovo Companion - I don't have this one installed and don't think it's necessary but would like someone else to shed some light here.

Hello, Can somebody help me, to chose a higher performance CPU for my R60 ThinkPad 9457-WUX model?I have now: Intel(R) Celeron(R) M CPU        430  @ 1.73GHzSocket 479 mPGA (0x5) I want to upgrade to Core 2, or dual core.. Can anyone help me to chose a model what can i order over the internet? i've checked the support list, and i have found a CPU, what is supported by the lenovo's list for this model, but i'm not sure because my CPUID says that i have Socket 479 mPGA, the CPU what i want to buy is:  Intel® Core? Duo Processor T2300 (2M, 1,66 GHz, 667Mhz), but it's socket is 478. This model of cpu for my laptop is supported by the lenovo's support page, but what about socket? Thank you so much! Regards, Szabolcs

A:Lenovo R60 - 9457-WUX CPU Question

Welcome to the forum!

Any of these will work: T2300. 2300E, 2400, 2500, 2600, 2700. Those are Core Duo CPUs.

Then you have T5500 and T5600 which are Core 2 Duo, but with 2MB L2 cache so they're pretty inexpensive nowadays.

Finally, there are T7200, 7400 and 7600 which are Core 2 Duo with 4MB L2 cache and somewhat more expensive.

Hello everyone! My Lenovo Y50-70 has been performing very well so far. It's been almost two years now and it still runs very smoothly. I used to play games which were making the keyboard corpuss reach average temperatures. It was actually quite pleasant during winter. Due to the heat "a" and "s" keys have popped out and I barely managed to get the "a" one back. Didn't have the same luck with the "s" though. I damaged the corpuss of the keyboard. I do have a warranty coverage which includes accidental drop and spill as well. The problem is I can't find the warranty card and my question is: Is it possible to get a copy of it so I can claim my warranty and have my laptop fixed? And if so what would the procedure look like? Who do I contact? The service provider here in Bulgaria won't take my laptop unless I have the warranty card. The laptop was bought from the USA. Thank you!

Here are the pictures of both. (left= new one, right=old one) What I dont understand is what's the portion marked yellow? Is it very critical because I could not make it stick to the motherboard due to screws issue. I thought if old fan without this worked quite long, it should not create any problems.looking forward to your comments

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T440s that has two 15GB SSDs installed, along with a 1TB hard disk. The system came with one SSD that supposedly was used to speed up the boot process. Some months back the drive started showing up as just another disk on the system. I have no idea if its currently speeding up the boot process or not.

I've obtained a second SSD that fits in the M.2 spot on the mobo so I installed that too. I could install a wireless WAN in the M.2 spot and might later, but right now I have the SSD.

Long intro - here are the questions
1. How can I determine if the original SSD is still being used to speed up the boot process?
2. How can I take the best advantage of this second, small SSD?

Thanks for your help, group.
