WL Mail printing cut off with high DPI settings

Q: WL Mail printing cut off with high DPI settings

One of my clients is legally blind, so he needs an extremely high DPI in order to use his machine. However, When DPI under screen resolution is raised to 255%, the right two inches or so on every page is cut off only in Windows Live Mail.

Steps I've taken:
Printing from different programs - normal.
Printing from IE (which defines WL Mail margins and other settings) - normal.
Different machine with same printer - prints normally.
Different machine, same printer, change DPI to 255% - Windows Live cuts off page.
Different machine, different printer - prints normally.
Different machine, different printer, change DPI to 255% - Windows Live cuts off page.
The main problems I have are: one, I don't want to have him change programs since he's legally blind, and two, we can't decrease his DPI for the same reason.
Is there some underlying cause to this, and something that can be rectified without causing a major change for my client?

Preferred Solution: WL Mail printing cut off with high DPI settings

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: WL Mail printing cut off with high DPI settings

There usually is a setting of Shrink to fit on the Page Setup, I use it to get the full content but for those with vision issues it may not work. Another solution may lie in setting to page to Landscape but it will use more paper for the same thing.

I want to print a list of my Mail contacts, including their addresses, so that I can add them to Yahoo Mail. I have done what Help tells me to do but I only get a list of names (e.g. John.............. (None)). I didn't have any trouble doing this in Outlook Express and I am guessing that I'm missing a simple step.

Ideally I would like to simply import my Contacts to Yahoo Mail so that when I'm overseas in a few weeks I can use Yahoo to mail people.

I just got a laser printer not that long ago and I want to print out some buiness cards I've made. I have them the right ratio that I need to print but I don't want to shrink them down and lose all the quality. I know it's capable of high quality. How do I print the larger image I have down in a smaller more dense space?

A:Printing in High DPI

I take it you are using some sort of software to arrange the cards. Does it not have the capability to print size the cards without downsizing the image file?

The size you print has nothing to do with the size of the file in pixels other than if you donít have enough it wonít look good. If you currently have the cardís file large enough to fill the full size of a sheet of business paper and tell your software to print that file at business card size it will send all the pixels to the printer and tell it the print size separately. The printer will discard the information it canít use when it spools.

I'm having to use a dark high contrast theme because when I look at normally it makes my eyes want to burn and I don't mean that sarcastically I mean that seriously my eyes start feeling like their burning when I'm staring at a screen that is so bright. So I've used the Microsoft high contrast black theme to make using my computer easier on my eyes however I'm experiencing a problem when I need to go and print something.

I'm printing out documents that are displayed in Internet Explorer and the problem is that the printed document comes out very faded almost as if the contrast is greatly reduced.
And on the contrary, if I use the Microsoft high contrast white theme than the documents that I print from Internet Explorer come out printed very well with the same printer settings and all.

Is there anyway I can correct this short of having to use the high contrast white theme which just makes my eyes burn even more?

A:Printing when using high contrast theme?

That is very interesting; however, if you are truly printing a "document", that should have nothing to do with IE IMHO. So, can you please give a detailed description of what exactly you are printing and how you specifically are printing it? However, if on the other hand, you are simply trying to print a web page, you may be able to improve the quality of the text by selecting an option to "print all text as black" as shown below:

I am a blind man, and I use High Contrast Black as my theme. In the past, when I would print a document, it would print normally, i.e., black text on a white background. Some time ago, tho, my printer began to print the document as white print on a black background! But here is the strange thing: if I copy and paste my text to Notepad and print, it prints normally as black on white. Both Word 2010, Jarte, and Wordpad will NOT print normall, and I cannot find settings to change this behavior. Please note that to the best of my knowledge, I did NOT change any settings to cause this printing anomaly to begin. HOw can a person using the High Contrast BaBlack teheme arrange it so that documents print out normally, black text on the white sheet of paper?

A:Problem printing normally using High Contrast Black

By the way, I forgot to mention, that I have tried changing the theme to a normal Windows 7, non-high contrast, but the problem persists.

Hi tech guys,
First of all, wish you all a merry X'mas and a very happy new year 2016 to be full of peace, health and wealth to all of you and your family members and beloved ones!

My question goes here:
need to buy a new printer with high quality of printing stickers, mainly will printer A4 size papers, then cut the designed pieces of printers,
I went to have a look on printers at the IT mall,
I found a lot of printers, Brother, Canon, Samsung, Xerox, Epson,
my concern is about the best and finest quality of printing, since I need to print each A4 page then cut it into small pieces where designed the stickers, there are small font lines, small picts, logo and small details to be shown,
one more information, the printer needed is small one, home use, not for company or printing office, average 10-20 pages per week, or more up to the needed quantity,
if any one experienced with a good quality printing as per said above, pls advise,

Here's my setup: I have an XP Pro that I'm using as a print server through a main Linux-based server. I have been successful at printing from other computers on the network for some time... until recently. Since some kids got to this print server, I needed to lock it up a bit, but while doing that I think I inadvertently changed a setting that has locked up the other computers from the printer. File sharing is still working fine, printer is still shared, but there's no printing from other computers. The print server can open up files and print fine, though (but that's not the solution I'm looking for ).

Any ideas what that magic setting might be? What I need to check? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to TSG!
Here is a couple of items you could look at. Do you have conflicting versions IE-OE If you have IE5 and OE4 there have been problems reported. I believe IE5.5 addressed those may be wrong though. Another possiblility is do you have shared printers and have you changed the default printer on a network.
Those are the only two items I could find.

Hi everyone,
I've used WindowBlinds extensively in the past, but now with the color change options of Aero, I really don't have a need for it anymore. The problem is, however, that I can't get some things dark like before. For example, Start Menu, folder backgrounds, and the page in Word are all white and I'd like to make them high-contrast while keeping Aero. Does anyone know a way to do this? I've tried experimenting with the advanced appearance settings without result. On a side note, I've also been unable to change the logon screen, even with all the tools and suggestions I've found on this forum.

ensure you have all the latest device drivers and game patches. problems as you described are often caused by one or more parts of a computer overheating during demanding apps. do you have a way of monitoring your cpu, chipset, or gpu temps? download and run prime95. run a turture test using the "in place fft" options and reply if the box ran successfully for about half an hour.

Dear TSG and friends: I run two computers, a desktop and a laptop. Both run on Windows XP. I use the laptop on my home wireless network, with the desktop as the connection to my cable internet service. That service gives me about 1Mb/sec bandwidth. The desktop has a dual-core 2.2GB/sec AMD Athlon. The laptop has a single core, Intel Celeron 2.2GB/sec.

On watching Youtube video streams on the desktop, I can most often set the quality down to 240p and avoid interruptions in the streaming.

On watching the same stream on my laptop (the desktop is hibernating) from my wireless home network, the choices offered me by the settings button are only as low as 480p.

Question: Why does the settings button on the laptop's screen not offer me the 240p choice? Can I fix that? I often wish to watch a stream in my living-room, but the interruptions are discouraging at 480p.

A:Settings Quality Choices too High for me

You should be able to see the same resolution options... I'm not too sure why you can't.

Just out of interest, since you are on a cable internet service, you shouldn't be having bandwidth/lagging issues. What speeds are you paying for? 1MB?

CPU: Intel? Core?2 Quad Processor Q9400 at 2.66 GHz

PSU: Corsair CX750M

A:Why does my GTX 770 freeze when I play GTA IV at high settings?

Provide more details:How long after you start does it freeze?
Do any other games freeze? Try running Crysis or something.
What makes you think it's the GPU and not some other issue?
What happens when you run the game on low settings?
What version of the graphics driver are you using? Current WHQL version is 337.91.
What version of GTA IV are you playing? Is it up to date?

Based on your very limited information, here are some things to try:Pull the cover off and get all the dust out of the entire case using compressed air.
Put GTA IV in Windowed mode and watch the case temp gauges.
If the temp gauges run hot (say 50 deg C) take the case cover off, point a large fan at the box and turn it on full power. Run the game. See if the temperature goes down. Does the game run smoothly?
If heat is the issue, and dusting doesn't fix it, go buy more case fans, screw them in, and connect them to either fan mounts on the motherboard or to the power supply. Bottom and front fans bring air in. Top, back, and side fans push hot air out of the case. Make sure your cables are tied together neatly so they don't interrupt airflow. Also, get some magnetic fan dust covers to keep the inside of the machine cool.
Update your graphics driver.
Make sure your motherboard BIOS is also up to date.
Before starting GTA, run task manager and make sure to kill any unnecessary processes that might be conflicting with it. You may even wish to turn off your antivirus if you're running one.

I thought I read it's good (or doesn't hurt) to set everything in IE to high security settings if you're not using it. (And I seem to recall there were some custom settings it was best to do...?)

I have scanned a 4 x 6 professionally taken photograph into my PC at 300 dpi. It is a photo of our daughter at her college graduation standing between the US flag and our state flag (Tennessee) with a deep blue background visible from about her neck up between the two flags. She is wearing a black cap and gown with blue trim and collar and her hair is brunette with lots of blond highlights. She has a tan, but not very deep. The image prints very clearly with good tones, vibrant colors, etc. However, the skin tone is way off. Other photos I've scanned have printed perfectly except for this one. I have tried various profiles, settings, etc., but to no avail. I have tried making adjustments within Photoshop Elements 5.0 with respect to the printer, also to no avail. Reviews of this printer indicate that bronze skin tones is a common problem and in this instance I get either very bronze images, slightly yellow images or washed out images.

I am scanning using a Canon CanoScan LIDE 25 scanner and its software.

I am printing on Office Depot Premium Series Professional Photo Paper, just as I have for numerous other photos that have been scanned in, as well as images imported from two different Kodak digital cameras and had no problems with any of those either.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

recently installed a Canon Pixma mp 600 multi function printer. When I try to ask it to print an email (on windows live mail) I don't get any response. No print dialog box and nothing sent to print. Tried reinstalling printer. No dice. Hope this is the right forum for this.
