Microsoft Visio Professional 2007 repair message

Q: Microsoft Visio Professional 2007 repair message

A customer of mine has Visio Professional 2007 and every day or so he gets the pop up wanting him to select either add or remove Features, Repair or Remove. After doing the repair it works, but he keeps getting this. I've removed the program
and reinstalled, but the problem came back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I needed to free up space on my C: drive, so I attempted to uninstall Microsoft Vision Standard 2007 -- but the uninstallation would not work using Add/Remove Programs. So, I hastily used the Windows Installer Clean Up Utility to remove it, which is appears to have done to some extent.

Problem: The program is still appearing in the Add/Remove programs pane, and it won't allow me to uninstall from there.

I've tried reinstalling Visio from the disc, but receive this error right before it quits:
"Microsoft Office Visio Standard 2007 encountered a problem during setup."

I don't want the program anymore, I'm just trying to remove all traces of it from my computer without causing further damage.

When I run Microsoft Office Diagnostics, I got this result:Setup Diagnostic ? Missing media

The Setup Diagnostic was not completed because a valid source was not found. Either the local installation source is missing, or the original source that was used to install Microsoft Office is not available to the repair process. You may need to provide the original source to allow this diagnostic to run successfully. Valid sources for the 2007 Office release include the following:

Your 2007 Office release installation CDAn installation disk or repair CD provided by the vendor of your computerA connection to a network installation of the 2007 Office release
After you obtain access to a valid source, run Office Diagnostics again.
Any help would be great,

Hello, everyone! I purchased Microsoft Office Professional 2007 in December 2007 to put on my husband's computer. I believe it said that the program could be put on up to 4 computers in the same home. I have the saved email sent by Microsoft to confirm the purchase. There was no CD sent...it was done by download onto his computer. Now I want to put it on my computer, but need help to know how to do this. The product key was included in the email confirmation, but I don't know how to download the program onto my computer. Any ideas? Thanks.

I recently purchased 2007 Office and started to install it. Everything loaded fine with only using the 1st disk. Does anyone know what disk 2 is for? Should I bother trying to install it? I see on some of these posts, that others receive an error when trying to install it. If all programs loaded, what is even on disk 2?

I am having issues when downloading the disk, it stops halfway through the download process and says there is a PRORWW.cab what file do I set up in?

A:Loading Microsoft office professional 2007

Please give us the exact error message.
If it says that it's missing PRORWW.cab, that is a file on the CD. Either the CD is smudged or scratched, or your CD drive is not reading the CD properly. Wipe the disc with a lint free cloth. If you still get the same message, try a different CD. You can try the same CD in a different CD drive as well.

I have had nothing but problems since I purchased Microsoft Office Professional 2007 back in April. I'm running on Vista.
I am experiencing:

-Outlook constantly stops responding.
-The servers can not communicate from my business/domain e-mail.
-Business Contact Manager always freezes up.
-Outlook "stops working" when I try to export my business contact manager data.
-BCM and Accounting are not integrating customer information.

I have tried to resolve the issues by:
-uninstalling and reinstalling
-verifying my business e-mail server (SMTP) is pointed directly
-verified BCM & Accounting are on the same database
-Downloaded service packs MSXML (KB936181), (KB941833) and (KB954430).

I REALLY need to have this software and database functioning top notch in order to maintain the operational records of my company. I would be devastated to have to seek out an alternative program after I have spent all of this money, time and effort to implement this system.

I have never had a good experience with MS support. I'm desperate for these issues to be resolved. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Hello there.
I recently bought Microsoft Office 2007 on eBay. It came in the mail today. When I put the disc into my computer, nothing happens. I cannot hear the disc running. Nothing is prompted on the screen and when I look in "my computer" it does not show anything other than what's normally there. I guess I am asking for help trying to figure out how to download this program onto my computer as I just started college classes and already have assignments due and cannot complete them without it.
Please be gently, as I know to some this may seem basic. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

A:Microsoft Office Professional 2007 download issues.

First of all - welcome to BC !
There are two possibilities here. The first, and less worrying, is your optical drive may have died and gone to a better place. Can you read any other software disc or play a movie DVD ? If you can, your drive is working. If you can't, then it is almost certainly your drive.
The Office disc may be faulty or fake. Try it in a different computer to see if it can be read or offers to install itself. If it can neither be read nor offers to install on a different computer then your only hope of redress is to take it up with first the supplier and then the eBay complaints procedure.
Sorry I can't be more optimistic on your first visit to BC.

I have been running a new PC, ASUS Z97-WS, for about four months. Over 80% of my application crashes are related to Microsoft products. I am running WIN7 Ultimate x64, using Office 2007. Word crashes daily reporting ?? software exception (0xe00000002) ?? I have run hardware tests, including Word diagnostics without finding errors. I also run Viso Professional 2007, which attempts to reinstall itself every time I start the program. I can cancel the install or lets it proceed. Once started Viso works correctly. Word is my biggest headache as it tends to fail just when you are saving a file for the first time. If it recovers it normally looses the data entered, it sometimes shows repairs related to image objects but is vague on details.

I have all the latest Microsoft updates, BIOS updates, print drivers, and have disabled all Word add-ons and have replaced normal.doc.

What would you recommend I try to resolve these concerns? Thanks.
PS The programs worked better when I installed them on a previous PC about 6 years ago.

I am using Outlook 2007 with Vista to manage three IAMP e-mail accounts. They are setup correctly and work normally (although somewhat slow). All three accounts are setup so that they download all messages in each of their Inbox to the computer every 10 minutes and sync all folders every 240 minutes also downloading all content.

Every now and then, indistinct of account, the Inbox folder shows that there is an unread message. Clicking on the folder should show all the messages in that folder including the unread one in bold. When clicking, the new message does not appear and the (1) beside the folder name disappears. When I login through a webmail service, the new e-mail is still in the inbox. It never downloaded to Outlook but Outlook thought it did so it never shows.

After a few minutes, the folder appears again as if there was a new message. Again, when clicking on the folder, the message doesn't download or show. It goes on like this for ever. As a matter of fact, I have not been able to get any of these "problem" messages to download. I have to process them through webmail.

I would like to be able to "repair" the folder list. That is, for Outlook to "forget" everything about that folder and download all messages in the folder. That should correct this undownloaded-ghost message. Is this possible in Outlook? How is it done?

"Network Connections. Cannot load dialog. Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection. 0 of 2 tasks have completed successfully".

Cannot send or receive emails to this user account.

This error message doesn't happen on main user account only on one other user account. This has only started to happen since we had a major blackout and all computers went down on the network. This user account was open at the time of the blackout.

Have checked Internet Properties > Connections > Never dial a connection is checked as we have a Wireless Broadband Modem.

Hi all,

I'm using Windows Vista and am suddenly unable to open any of my Microsoft Word 2007 documents. (Which means I can't recover my CV for this upcoming job )

When I try I get the following error message -
"C:\Programs Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\oart.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support."

On Googling the error message I saw that file was a security risk and followed the instruction in the topic, which was to open appwiz.cpl and then repair Microsoft Office 2007. But that didn't work, and I got the error message of - "Error 1310 C:config.msi\1151431.rbf Verify access". I received the same error message when I tried to uninstall, so I was unable to uninstall and reinstall the program.
Thanks in advance for any help, HeadDesk.

If I select all the shapes in a Visio 2007 Pro drawing, then select all rows of External Data and drag them to the selected shapes, the data is linked to the shapes in reverse order, from right to left.

Does anyone know why this happens? Or, more to the point, does anyone know of a way to avoid this other than by individually selecting the shapes in order from left to right?

Thanks for any help or advice.

A few weeks ago I created a Visio diagram - a floor layout/seating plan. Everything worked fine.

Now I have returned to the diagram to make some adjustments, and the bizarrest thing has happened: I can't set the dimensions of my objects explicitly any more! When I right click on a shape (say a rectangle), instead of giving me the option to set the width and length, it gives me the dialog attached, which is utterly useless.

I tried rebooting, then I uninstalled/reinstalled Visio 2007. Nothing doing. The only way I have now to resize shapes is to drag their handles - which obviously is just not good enough.

Interestingly, walls still work: I can resize walls by entering their properties. But other shapes just do not work!

What has happened to my Visio? And how do I fix it?

I'm attempting to install Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise, and during installation an error message appears that says something like: error - cannot update file/folder at c:\windows\pchealth, installation cannot proceed.

Then the installer rolls back everything and I get mad. Does anyone have any suggestions? How do I authorize the folder? This has been happening for a while and a solution will make me very happy inside.

Just thought I'd also mention this as it may have some bearing on why this is happening: When I purchased my computer it came with Windows XP Media Center, but a virus plagued my system and my hard drive became corrupted and I had to reinstall windows. Unfortunately, I didn't have the installation disk and ended up installing a non-Media Center edition on a disk from my roommate. I don't know if this would affect anything...but just thought I'd put it out there.

Select the country "Australia".
Enter my corporate email address.
I enter the program code that work gave me.
I check my work email account and receive the email successfully.
I open the email which says "congratulations, you are eligible to purchase the home use program for $28".
I click on the green "Buy Now" button.

Then, this is where it all goes wrong.... Instead of taking me to the screen that allows me to purchase my license/product key and download the software to my PC, the screen reverts back to the previous one which asks me for my corporate email address and program code! I am going around in circles! There are no error messages.

At work, we recently upgraded from Visio 2000 to Visio 2003.

Mistake. Big mistake. Huge.

Now, when we try to edit the graphics, we get the same types of problems that many other users have reported: lines don't connect; text is improperly kerned (spaced between letters); text appears lighter (medium gray) in print and on screen; some elements don't display.

Has anyone been successful at getting Visio 2000 images into Visio 2003 format without heavy image editing?

Visio files are received as attachments in Outlook 2016. Visio Viewer 2016 and IE11 are also installed on Windows 10 (1607).
Previewing the Visio file (VSD in this case) is successful. However, when you try to open the Visio file, IE11 attempts to open it (as expected) but only displays a blank page.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for this issue?   Other articles suggest that Visio Viewer 2016 does not support IE11.

When I go to turn it on, it goes to the black screen with white text where there are options to boot in Safe Mode, Boot with settings that worked last, and Boot Normally. No matter what option I choose, it always restarts the machine and returns to this same screen.

I was advised by a 3rd party that I would probably have to repair it with another copy of Windows XP, but before I did this, I wanted to ask a few important questions:

I no longer have the original Windows XP disk that was used to install the OS, but I do have the COA code. Also, I do not have a way to connect this computer to the internet.

Can I use any XP disk to restore it, or can I just get the SP 2 disk and restore it with that?

Once repaired, will I have to connect it to internet to verify the COA code? Or since XP is already installed, will it just recognize the existing platform?

I saw a post talking about streamlining SP2 into an XP .iso file. Is that a viable option?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am a desperate mum.
We got our computer through a school scheme, it didn't come with a windows 7 professional disk. Despite several attempts in the early days we were unable to backup files. Now it appears to have been corrupted, I have tried to do the command prompt thing and keep being told that it is not recognised. I have an old XP disk, can I sue this in some way to repair my windows 7?
I also contacted Microsoft for help explain that I do not have the money to buy a 7 disk, they told me they could help if I signed up for advance support for $99, which kind of defeated me telling them I was broke.
I really need this computer to work as this is my daughters gcse year and I cannot replace the computer.

Just what is "the command prompt thing"?
In any case, you might try the following:

1. I tried to upgrade my Adobe Pro 6.0 (not reader) to 7.0 and things went horribly wrong. Not only did it not work but now the 6.0 has problems.

When I click on a PDF document on the desktop it says Preparing to Install... and then gives me an error.

I can only view PDFs if I open them in IE and it opens with numerous warnings. In Firefox the PDFs just hang and then crash.

I have tried to repair in from the original disk but that doesn't work. I have tried to uninstall it and then reinstall it again but that hasn't worked either.

I am stuck with a crippled Acrobat and I dont know how to repair it.

You may have to scrub the whole shooting match out of the registry and start from scratch.

I am trying to install visual studio 2008 Pro. But VS setup exited with errors while installing SQL Server Compact 3.5 component.  There are some files missing in the Microsoft.net framework directory "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG". So I guess this could be the cause for the issue. Tried DotNet framework repair tool. Still the issue exists.
I guess this could be resolved by repairing the OS.  Is there any options to make OS Repair  ?

If I perform the XP Professional Repair Install from my CD, is the current registry deleted?

Thanks in advance..........

A:XP Professional Repair Install

not as far as i can tell although i cannot be certain. it should just be a "copy windows repair registry values and paste overtop" thing. this doenst break the rest of the registry, just the existing windows values within it.

but i am not 100% sure of this.
