I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have a HDMI adapter that used to work with an adapter although did not use very often.  Then at some point I tried using it and it does not work.   I ordered another adapter in case the one I had was faulty, still it does not work.    Now I read about an update for a lot of the Thinkpads to address a defective USB-C port issue.   I am thinking the Yoga 910 may have a similar issue.  I have read about HDMI issues on the laptops but have not see anyone describe what I am seeing - following is my issue.  After connecting a monitor via the HDM adapter, and I have tried this with TVs as well as computer monitors, when I go to the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel, then go to Multiple Displays window, I can select Clone Display or Extended Desktop.  Under the 'Select One or More Active Displays' it actually shows two displays - builtin and the monitor I am hooked up to.  So it is seeing the monitor connected via the adapter.   But when I click on 'Detect' button, which shows two displays above it, a window pops up saying 'No other display has been detected.  If you do not see a display, verify all the connections and check that the display is powered on'. So although it seems that the computer, in some form or fashion, sees the HDMI monitor in some other sense it is not detecting it.  So I cannot display on the other monitor.  And the monitor connected to the computer indicates it does no... Make sure that you have the Lenovo Energy Management Driver installed.  If it is installed then try uninstalling it, reboot and install a fresh copy.  Here is a link to that driver....

Hi everyone Since the last Windows 10 update on 11th Apr 2017, I have had two problems that I assume are related:1. The fan is constantly on, despite normal CPU usage of around 10-15%2. I can no longer turn off conservation mode, so that now I cannot charge the battery above 60%. I tried uninstalling the Lenovo Energy Management software, and installing Lenovo Settings, but the conversation mode toggle in the latter also makes no difference. The sum of both of these problems is that now my battery runs down much faster... Any help most welcome! Chris

1) Why is there no Fast Charge option, I really liked this option in my Yoga Pro 22) Why is it slow when on "Conservation Mode".  If below 60% it will charge ok then stop (as it should) but if already above 60% and then you enter 'Conservation Mode' it slows down a lot until it gets to 60% which is annoying. I use Lenovo Vantage tool.

I just have a few questions about how conservation mode and express charging work. These two are located in Energy Manager under settings. Conservation mode keeps the battery percent at 55-60%. How is this done? Does the computer discharge until 55% and then charge back up to 60%? Also, if the computer is off, but the AC adapter is left in, will the computer still remain between 55 and 60%? Are there any detrimental effects on the battery? Express charging allows the computer to be fully charged in 100 minutes. How is this done? Why is this feature not enabled by default? Are there any detrimental effects on the battery? Thank you!

Read a few articles on how to treat a battery properly. This I found a decent article.http://gizmodo.com/how-to-take-care-of-your-smartphone-battery-the-right-w-513217256If the computer is turned off, your laptop will still remain between 55 and 60%.Express charging generates excessive heat, can make the battery die slightly faster. It's done by allowing more current to flow to the battery. But generally the more you keep your battery cool, the longer it will live. There are plenty of articles like the one above on Google some are more brief, some are more in-depth and more difficult to understand.

Greetings, I have confirmed that I have some software related setting that blocks my 1-year-old Yoga 910 from charging. This was not a problem from before. Today, I got my Yoga 910 back from service. (replaced SSD under warranty) and thus I have a fresh Win 10 1709 installation. Problem: The computer does not charge while plugged in and turned on.1. In Windows: Shows as "Plugged in - Not Charging".2. Turned off: When computer is left plugged in and turned off it will charge fine.  I have tried:1. In Vantage:  Does not state that the Conservation Mode is enabled, and I have tried toggling this back and forth while plugging and unplugging the charger - No change.2. I rolled back to "Lenovo Settings" and used it in Flightmode (so that it would not ask me to switch to Vantage), to no avail. The setting there too is off, and toggling it back and forth do not change anything. AFAIK, it is only Dell and Lenovo that ship computers with this kind of software, and since I have a fresh installation of Windows, and it charges when I have it shut-off; This must be Lenovo Software Related. I can even sense it is some kind of software, because immediately after boot it still shows that it is actually charging, but suddenly it stops. Probably after loading some of the Lenovo services. I am at a loss. I find some threads about the topic, but no solutions. The power settings in Windows is "Balanced", that is the only profile I have available. I ... Read more

Hello, I'm having an issue that's been bothering me since a couple of days ago. During the first month, my 1.5 month old YOGA 520 14IKB battery icon displayed 8-9 hours when fully charged. However, I had to work with the laptop plugged in for a while, so I activated the conservation mode. It charged the battery up to 60% and then stopped it. I use that configuration for about 2 weeks and then some days ago I disabled the conservation mode in order to have more juice while unplugged. However, now the estimate time for the battery to run out reduced drastically to about... 3hours!!! I tried to discharge it until 5% and the charge to 100% but that didn't fix it... I also read that could be a problem of outdated drivers but all my drivers are up to date (according to the Lenovo site). There are, however, updates for the graphics cards on Intel and NVIDIA sites, but the Intel tool says that Lenovo has a custom driver for the UHD 620 and probably that is also the case with NVIDIA. Could anyone, by chance, give me any tip on how I can restore my battery time? Thank you.

I recently noticed the battery was around 50% when I last used it. I thought my wife forgot to plug it in so I plugged it up. The next time I went to use it, I noticed it was a little lower, but I had removed the plug from the wall. I assumed it was the power adapter, so I ordered a new (OEM) unit directly through Lenovo. It made no difference, the computer does not charge or recognize the power adapter is "plugged in." I tried some online solutions and verified conservation mode was off. I also performed a battery diagnostic test and it found no issues. I tried holding the power button for 30 seconds and while I did hear the fans turn on shortly, it didn't change anything. I also tried the NOVO button, but it did not seem to do anything at all. Lastly, I even removed the bottom casing cover and pulled the battery for a few minutes, but again not change. My battery is now extremely low (using my way older HP unit now) and not sure how much more I can do without depleteing the battery where I cannot power it to make any changes. Is there any other way to power it besides the AC adapter?Any suggestions on what is going on? Could it be the charging circuit on the battery? I don't want to make another assumption and replace the battery if there is something that will prevent that battery from charging as well. Thanks,Kevin

Hi, In the Lenovo Settings application when I toggle on the conservation mode for the battery, the battery should stop charging at around 60%. However, even though the conservation mode is toggled on, the battery will charge to 100% and stay at 100%. The icon near the battery usually would indicate whether the AC adapter is plugged in by showing a plug and if you would toggle conservation mode, this AC adapter plug would change into a leaf. However now it is always a leaf, whether I the conservation mode is on or off.  I appreciate all suggestions.

Hello, I've had my Yoga 900-13ISK2 Signature Edition for a little less than 2 years and up until recently it has been working flawlessly.  After the recent windows 10 1803 update, I started seeing the "phantom touches" or "ghost touches" phenomena on my screen.  It is not very frequent, but it does happen from time to time.  I am not sure if anything triggers the behavior as it normally happens randomly and not related to any particular task.   This is very annoying and disruptive especially because I use this machine for work.  I checked to make sure all my drivers were up-to-date and they all are.  I checked the forum and there were no solutions for my PC there either.  I used the recovery function to do a clean install of windows, thinking that maybe the 1803 patch caused this issue and that seemed to work fine for a while but the phenomena came back.  By the way, the signature edition doesn't come with the factory image partition (major error on Lenovo's part - that should be standard on all devices, no matter what the edition) and now the Novo/Nova (sp?) button doesn't work and the Airplane Mode hot key doesn't work.  For such a premium laptop, it is definitely lacking in areas that are easy to provide to make the customer experience positive. I still have this issue and want to know if anyone else is seeing this problem.  I also tried stopping the HID touchscreen controller and re-starting to see if that h... Has anyone else's Lenovo Battery Power Conservation Mode stopped working? I have a Lenovo FLEX 5-1570 and Conservation Mode recently stopped functioning. Everything else appears to be working fine but now when I have my laptop plugged in, it charges to 100% and remains there. I've tried turning Conservation Mode off and back on. I've tried rebooting. I've tried reinstalling the BIOS and Chipset software. None of these fix the problem. The worst part is Lenovo "support". Lenovo hardware support is completely separate from Lenovo software support and they do not talk to one another. Lenovo hardware support provided no support other than suggesting trying to reinstall the BIOS and Chipset updates. (My best guess is their latest BIOS update created the problem.) Lenovo software support will not provide support for their own software, even though the laptop is under warranty, without paying extra for it! Knowing this now, I will never buy another Lenovo product.

Hey,To begi, I have 2 problems since I bought this notebook about 2 weeks ago1- The performance is so poor    I am running Windows 10 and what I can notice is the bad performance from such an i7 processor @2.7 to 2.9 Ghz with 8 GB RAM(DDR4) and Nvidia Geforce 920MX(2GB)once I remove the AC Adapter and run it on the battery it tends to be slower and even when plugged in it's still giving me like the minimal performance, I have another laptop which is processor i5 @2.3 Ghz , 4 GB of RAM(DDR3), Intel Graphics Card(1GB) and it is running at much higher speed and I have tested this on some game and the i5 PC gave me a Higher FPS(90+) while the Ideapad gave me something around 60So, is it because some kind of factory settings for the lowest performance ever on that PC as I want to change it? Please give me a decent Solution for that problem as I can't work on the Ideapad this way.....2- Since I bought this laptop and I am using it regularly so I wanted to limit the battery usage to increase its lifespan so I have download Lenovo settings and Companion to Activate the Conservation Mode but It never worked, It never limited the battery to 60% and the battery still goes to completion....So I need a solution for thatThanks in advance.

Hello,
I have been using my Inspiron 13 5378 since December 2016. After working normally for few days my screen stopped auto-rotating. I sent my laptop back to Dell for repair and received it after a month in April. Very frustrating thing.
When I received the repaired laptop the auto orientation was working fine but it stopped working again after a couple of days.
I don't know what is triggering this but I have tried myriad of solutions available online including reinstalling chipset and sensor drivers, disabling and re-enabling sensors in device manager, setting sensor services to start automatically and much more.
But still, the auto-rotate feature is not working.
I don't want to send my laptop back to dell again for another month, please suggest any solution if you know it.
Thanks in advance!

hi behrouz,

Thanks for Posting!

This mode controls the Firmware that controls the battery,
And yes it stops the charging when it reaches 60% to prevent over charging and lessen charge and discharge rate.
This is most suggested for system that is always Plugged in to the Ac adapter,

Best Regards

My device: Lenovo 2013 IdeaPad Z400 Touch 20220OS: Windows 10Issue: Battery indicates "Plugged in and not charging"; it is at 0%; if I unplug the charger, it immediately shuts off. History:- I had a similar problem 3 months ago. After no issues for 4 years, my battery suddenly wouldn't charge higher than 50%, at which point it would indicate "Plugged in and not charging." I downloaded Lenovo Energy Management and changed the settings to "Optimal battery life". Hi! I just upgraded the U310 to Win10. The Battery Conservation mode was ON before the upgrade. After the upgrade it is still on. I installed the Lenovo Settings tool and tried to switched it off. After reboot all the options for Conservation have disappeared and it still won't charge above 59%. Please help, I'm stuck. WBR,Alex?
