Using Multiple monitors for 2 laptops

Q: Using Multiple monitors for 2 laptops

My wife has 2 jobs and needs to use 2 different laptops for them along with Display Monitors. Is it possible to have the 2 laptops use the same 2 monitors instead of adding a 3rd monitor. Her desk can only hold 2 monitors now and we need to make this easy for her to switch between jobs.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello, we have multiple Yoga's that will not detect multiple displays through the dock or directly on the laptop.  These all seemed to work fine until recently and now randomly lose connection to external monitors for long periods of time.  We have installed the Lenovo Update software and have assured all updates / drivers / firmware are up to date and continue to have this problem. We use Windows 10 Pro 1803 and 1809

Hi, I typically work with dual monitors by using an external monitor with my laptop. I run windows 7 on the laptop. Typically I need dual monitors to run applications such as statistical software, GIS (ESRI), and archival research software e.g. Atlas.ti etc. I also need to keep interview transcripts (ussually word docs) and excel spreadsheets with raw data on one screen while I write using a word doc on the other screen. Here's my problem. I will be working overseas for the next three months and need to use dual monitors but don't want to lug an external monitor on a flight. So I was wondering if there is a way to use one of my two laptops as an external monitor. Both run Windows 7. I've thought about taking an Ethernet cable and trying to build a network between the two laptops, but don't know if this would work.

At this point I am too addicted to using dual monitors that I can't go back to one monitor. Any advice?

Hello,

I have an HDTV and a laptop and my laptop has a DVI output (thats it) and the TV has an HDMI input therefore I bought an DVI to HDMI cable hooked up the HDMI to the tv and hooked up the DVI to the laptop

Specifics:
HDTV LG 20" Model 20LS7D
ATI Mobility Radeon X1400

So I plugged in both and the TV will not let me select HDMI input, basically theres no signal, I already activated the second monitor via the xp settings and set it to a display that the tv can support tried to turn the tv on and off and nothing worked. My Omega drivers are recognizing a second Panel, an "FPD" and the display however it wont work, I even tried to force connect to a tv and that wont work.

I was given an alienware 5500, the f4 function key only allows the switching between LCD-only, CRT only and LCD and CRT. F5 and 6 are audio options (because I know some laptops function keys allows dual monitors).

Any suggestions? Should I not be using Omega drivers? Was this free alienware laptop worse off then I thought, etc?

I have two working laptop pcs, and I'm curious about the possibility of combining them into one unit and running both screens as a dual monitor system.

My question is 1) Is this even possible with notebooks, and 2) How do I go about doing this?

I've found a lot of helpful tutorials on the topic in relation to desktop computers... but I'm pretty sure it will be completely different if trying it with laptops. And as I said, I'm not even sure it's possible... but I feel like it should be.

Any tips or links that might help point me in the right direction?

A:Combining 2 Laptops to Run as Dual Monitors?

I agree it should be possible, but it's not

Now, in saying that there are ways
One way is to have Remote Desktop setup so one computer can see the other Computer through sharing Remotely
Since one computer can see the full Desktop, you could split the screen to see yours and the other.
But I don't think this is what you want

Asking this here because there isn't a general category. Which range of Lenovo laptops would support dual-monitors with least hassle? I think I'm asking which models have displayport outputs as that seems the preferred route. The product selection system on the website doesn't allow this granularity of filtering so one would have to look through the entire range! Thanks, Rob.

I currently have a T430 which is an absolute beast and solid as a rock. However, it is a nightmare for external monitors. I have a Lenovo LEN LS2223wC monitor and a Lenovo LT1952p monitor that I would like to use as external monitors. Both monitors run on HD 4000. I run Windows 10 operating system.  I don't need the newest model. Just something solid and dependable. If it has the option of eventually doing three monitors that would just be icing on the cake (but not required).  Does anyone have any ideas for laptops that might fit these specs as well as docks to go with them?  Thanks

I am successfully running 1 external monitor (HDMI), and I am now considering trying to use as a 2d external monitor a Lenovo L192 monitor that is now available to me. Is this possible, and if so, how would I go about doing this? Since the Lenovo's cabling is VGA, I will certainly need an adapter, presumably to USB-C or USB-3.1. But are there any other considerations/limitations that I need to take into account? Thanks for any help that you can give!

Hi JoeSchmoe! Just to clarify, could you provide to us the model of the computer you are trying to use on the monitors? Using an adapter doesn't guarantee that it will be detected so it will be best to use an adapter from Lenovo like this: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/accessories/acc100239. You can check the user guide from the link provided.

I have attached a second monitor to my laptop which runs Windows 7, however, I need to set different resolutions for different monitors, because the display does not fit to fill the screen on both monitors.

It is also noted that the display is replicated, and I would like to have the effect of having different desktops e.g. being able to use different applications such as debugging code on one monitor on an IDE such as Visual Studio, and, viewing the browser on the other monitor.

Currently it does not seem possible since the behavior seems to be that the same resolution is replicated on both monitors.

Are more than two monitors supported?

A:Working with multiple monitors does not allow multiple desktops

Set it to extended mode instead of duplicate, then you can use both independently.

Hi, all.

So, i happen to have two laptops in my posession, #1, an old, slow computer with no screen (or anything else above the hinge), and #2, a laptop that i got from a surplus sale. #1 one is missing a few nonvital components, like a soundboard and such, although it still works if i hook it up to an external monitor (thats how i'm writing this in the first place). #2 has no operating system, because the store wiped it. I want to be able to hook #2 up to #1, so that #1 runs faster, and can utilize #2's soundcard. I dont want to open the laptops up and move the components themselves, because thats why #1 is missing those nonvitals in the first place. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hello, I have purchased a lot of identically equipped laptops of the same brand which I plan on rebuilding. They each have legitimate COA's attached. I am using the manufacturer OEM XP Sp3 disk to do the installs. My question is this. Is there any way I can install XP, all the drivers, and all Windows updates on one of them, then clone the installation to be able to speed up install on all the others. On the 5 I have done so far the installs automatically activate with Microsoft. I don't mind the installs so much. It's the time it takes to download all those updates that slows me down. I guess what I am asking is if there is any way to remove the windows activation on my cloned copy and then be able to easily activate XP on each laptop using its own COA.
Another question regarding Windows updates - If I go to the Microsoft update library and manually download every update, is it possible to make an iso of all those updates that I can use on every XP installation in the future (one that I can use on various brands of laptops.) I've spent a lot of time reading about slipstreaming but if I undersstand that right that is if I want to slipstream SP3 into an earlier release of XP. I don't need to do that as I already have the SP3 install disk. I'm just trying to streamline my installation process so that so much of my time is not spent waiting on all those darned updates. Any advice is much appreciated.

I have an Envy TS15 with an external secondary monitor (Benq 4k) on the HDMI port. The colour difference between the two is amazing to see when I am working in Photoshop. The Benq is very clearly superior of course but I would like to be able to adjust the profile for the built-in display. I wopuild like to be able to get consistent colour across the two devices. The laptop of course does not have monitor adjustment buttons like an external monitor and seems to only be contollable via the built-in Windows monitor colour calibration - but this does not allow me to get a match between the two monitors (insufficient controls). Is it possible to apply separate colour profiles to the two monitors - currently in extended desktop, if I change the profile on one monitor (in Windows) the profile seems to affect the other. A LUT checker tells me if I change the LUT on the laptop monitor, the same LUT is being applied to the external monitor. Is there for example, a way to control onme with the Intel graphics card and the other with the GeForce 740m card and load LUTs separately?

I have a Ti 4600 8x and everything was running smoothly...

The only video game I play is Unreal Tournament 2004, and one day it started acting funny. For maybe 30 or so seconds it runs smoothly and then things just freeze for 2 or 3 seconds... i can run the same but i can't see my bullets, and if i a person was moving to the right, they keep moving to the right. Then it goes back to normal for 30 or so seconds and then glitches up for 2 or 3 again... repeat. Same all on servers.

So I rebooted my computer after reinstalling my video driver and now what was originally display 1 is now display 2 and vice versa. Normally I'm a pretty flexible guy and could care less and did care less about that till i tried to move to my 2nd monitor (now display 1 on my right side)... so to go to the right monitor i have to move my mouse left and to get back to my left monitor i have to go right. I ran into the wall in the middle a couple of times out of habbit, snapped, and now I'm posting a thread.

Thanks for reading.

Hello All, and thankyou in advance for looking at this.
I have multiple laptops that are blue screening, mostly at startup when users try opening any program. They are running XP sp2. I have been looking for the cause for quite some time. This occurs accross the board. We have Dell D600's, D610's, D620's, IBM T40's, T43's, T60's. It seems to be more frequent on systems with only 512 mb of ram, but happens on ones with a 1 gig as well. I feel that the increase in memory is just masking the problem, so I don't want to just upgrade memory for all them. I have dump files from Dr. Watson for most of these laptops. Could someone take a look at this and see what you find. I have included two Dr. Watson dump files zipped. Thank you very much. Any help/info is greatly appreciated.

I have a Dell Vostro A860 laptop (1.5 years old) Vista O/S. Two days ago when attempting to boot it up it showed a black screen and it read "Critical low battery, Hit F-1 to continue". Whe I did, it shut down. Upon hitting the pwr button again, nothing would happen. Removing the battery and re-installing then hitting pwr button allows the start up, however 4 seconds into it, it just shuts down. I have tried with the power cord plugged in, unpluged. Will not boot either way.

Here is a strange thing. I bought 2 of these Dells for family gifts at Christmas 2008. Yesturday the other A860 did the same thing. What are the odds of that? The other one I unplugged the power cord to try on the other to ensure it was not a bad charger cord, and if that was the problem. When I pluged back in the battery icon just kept discharging and then shut off. I rebboted and all came back up for a bit then shut down. It now does the 4 second atempt and then shuts down dead.

Further strange, my next door neighbor called and said that they were having a problem with thei laptop, it was, yes you guessed it, showing Critical low battery, Hit F-1 to continue. Could this be a virus? I know we and neighbor a month ago had that AV Security virus, but we both removed using malware removal tools, and the systems have been running fine. Any direction would be appreceated. Local shop said to get new batteries. I hate to spend 80.00 on a bettery to find out it is something else. Plus why would it not... Read more

Hi,
I'm having an intermittent problem with my wireless network. (I'm posting because I haven't seen many cases of 'limited to no connectivity' with multiple computers).
Both my roommate and I are having 'limited to no connectivity' intermittently. Both computers can be connected through the LAN (and comcast said that there was nothing wrong with the modem - for all the help that gives). I had set up the wireless from my computer and had recently upgraded to Windows 7 (maybe 2 weeks ago) and the other computer is still on xp. I tried to reconfigure the wireless through my computer and then through hers, with the same results.
When I tried to do the auto windows troubleshooting it said that the problem it found was an invalid IP address. When my roommate tried to repair (and reconfigure the IP address) separately, she was unable to do so.
I guess my inane question of the day is where is the IP address renewed initially? (the computer, the modem?...)

And now for information that i've seen people ask for:

can you post back a screen image of xirrus - see below - lets see what the wireless landscape looks like
------------------------------------------------------------------------
{run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector} Download and install
If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to copy the program across to the faulty PC

http://www.xirrus.com/library/wifitools.php
Direct link to the program is here http://www.xirrus.com/library/wifi_download_redirect.php
Then run and install the program
if you get an error - You need NET Framework installed for the WiFi Inspector to function.

Run the program

post a screen shot of the program running - if there are a lot of networks showing can you click on "networks" top lefthand area - so we can see all the network information, and also post which network "Adapter Name" (1st column) is yours on the list

To post a screen shot of the active window, hold the Alt key and press the PrtScn key. Open the Windows PAINT application and Paste the screen shot. You can then use PAINT to trim to suit, and save it as a JPG format file.

OK, i got a good question. I have two Seagate Passport External Harddrives. I am trying to link both of them to my laptop. Now, i have a weird issue. When both are linked, in Device Manager it shows both as active, and functioning properly, but only one will show up. When i look at status, one will show as "online", the other will show up as "offline". The sizes on the drives are 320, and 500 gb respectivly. Both show up with the same name in device manager. I was wondering if anybody has any ideas on this issue. I am a little confused. Is it compat issues, not enough power, or is it because both have the same name? Can anyone shed some light on this?

A:Multiple External Hard Drives on Laptops

I assume you're referring to Western Digital Passport drives. Passport drives are smaller and don't have their own power supplies. Due to this, they require up to two usb ports in order to be functional.

In order to connect one of these usb powered drives to a laptop you'll either need a high powered usb port, or two usb ports. A normal external hard drive requires a usb port for data and an ac adapter for power.

In other words, you either need four usb ports, or enough power for the hard drives. You are lacking one or the other.

The best way to connect multiple usb powered drives at the same time is to purchase a powered usb hub. A powered USB hub will power the drives and allow them to connect to your pc. This Sabrent 7-PORT USB Hub w/ AC Adapter is what I use and it works perfectly.

I've been having a problem with connecting more then one laptop to my Linksys router. You see, when one is on and another one tries to connect to the network, it can't connect and the one that was connected is disconnected. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

A:Multiple Laptops connecting to a wireless router

I'll offer two guesses--you have the modem connected to a LAN port instead of the WAN or else have a static IP assigned to at least one of the PCs.

Assuming neither of those guesses are correct, please show the following for PC1 with a good connection, PC2 after it tries to connect, and PC1 after it gets knocked off.

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista type CMD in the Search box after Start)

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

Around october 2015 the school i work for bought a serie of 25 Pavilion 13-S100nd notebooks. All where working fine until 2 weeks ago. The first notebook that arrived with a black screen was also fallen and the screen was cracked so i tossed it in the bin as i suspected the screen had died. Less than a week later another 2 notebooks of the serie show up with the same issue and today a fourth one has come up. Summary of the issue:When we turn on the notebook the light on the power button goes on, the cpu fan and disk starts spinning. But the screen of the notebooks stays black. I tried to look really good but there is really nothing to see, so i guess i can rule out defective backlights. Sometimes when you turn it on it stays on and sometimes he seems to reboot a couple of times. What we tried so far:- Hold the power for 15 seconds, the notebook turns off but still a black screen after we turn it on again.- Disconnect the battery and CMOS battery for 30 minutes, after that still a black screen.- Replace the memory module (tried this on 1 of the notebooks), but still a black screen.- Tried to boot it with and without AC power, but this doesn't seems to make a difference. What i want to know:- Does anyone know of other trics to try to get it to work again.- Is this a known issue to these series of notebooks, can i expect that the rest of the series will die out soon too. Ofcourse the biggest problem is that they have run out of warranty but we reall... Hello, I buy and resale laptops, and recently I've been running into this issue much more often. When I'm installing windows 7, the laptop will request a driver for the hard-drive.
What's frustrating is I'm sitting on 5 laptops right now that are all saying the same thing. I can take these hd's out, slap them into another laptop and install windows 7 to them, and put them back into the first computer I needed them in... But I don't like doing that because of all the compatibility issues I have to go through when/If the machine will boot.

For example, I just securely erased all the previous owners data on a Fujitsu A series: AH530 laptop, I did it because I noticed the user had left stored passwords from their facebook to their bank account, and I figured it was best to make sure no one was able to recover the data. -- Anyway, securely erased all the data, wiped the free space afterwards, reformated, made an partition, and made it active, made sure that the disk would read in disk manager via my desktop (I have a port on my case to connect 2.5 inch laptop drives to LOVE IT.)

When I get the install loaded up on the laptop, and it gets to the screen where you select where you want the install to be put, it requests for the driver. NOW when I click browse, my HD actually shows up for me to browse for drivers.. It shows up as my C: drive, which completely baffles me.. Leave this error screen up SIMPLY Remove your USB drive, and plug it into a _DIFFERENT_ usb port.
Click the CANCEL button on the error message.
Then click the X at the top right of the installation
Doing so correctly should lead you back to the initial screen of the Windows 7 Installation without a reboot.
Begin going through the steps to install windows,
instead of giving you the error, the install should then proceed as normal.

We have 30ish HP Z Books/Probooks/Elitebooks on our network. I'd like to keep the drivers updated centrally, like WSUS (Windows Update). How can manage all the laptops from my PC, and ensure they stay updated?

Hello,

Currently at work. we use norton ghost 8 to image multiple notebooks and prepare them for shipment. (for use by our sales force).

We just pull the cdrw out of one of the notebook bays and put the ghost drive in and then image the local drive on the dell notebook that way.

Im looking to improve the process to save time.

After we image the drive and boot up the pc, we update the computer description field, the computer name, and join the pc to a domain (xx.xx), use a special gif screen saver (found on drive c), create local admin rights for the user (in groups), and quite a few other settings in outlook with is installed from the image.

Do you know of any software solutions or batch processes that could help automate this process after we image the drive? It takes approx 30 minutes per computer (to configure for new user).. Id like to make it possible to complete this task in 15 minutes, instead of having to update all the settings manually in xp pro.

thanks for any info.

hi,
i'm living in a house with 5 people who all have a laptop. we share ONE wireless internet connection which works out pretty good all things considered.

as the owner i'd like to be able to monitor how bandwidth much each person is using, is that possible?
i can see everyone's IP and MAC address in the modem settings but am unsure how to monitor each one.

at the moment i use NETMETER and BWMeter to monitor my own connection. am i able to use any of those programs for my purpose?

i'm in australia and use iPrimus as an ISP and they supplied a iConnect Access modem.
all help is appreciated and thanks in advance

We purchased 3 x Blue HP Stream 11 laptops in December 2015 for our sons. Long story short 1 week ago the mouse stopped working on son 1's laptop - when you get to the sign in page (for the password) the mouse moves. Once you're actually into the desktop it freezes and will not move what so ever.  So we have no idea how to fix this. 2 days ago. Son 2's laptop did exactly the same thing. This is now 2 of 3 laptops that are not working.  - These laptops have antivirus, we monitor their usage so there's nothing untoward with the actual laptops. 2 weeks after receiving these laptops in 2015, the wireless adapter disappeared completely in the third laptop so clearly this is a Stream laptop issue????  Is there any way to fix or resolve the mouse issue for the other 2 laptops?

We've got 1 desktop and 4 laptops in the house. We have cable internet and a wireless router that all the computers connect to. Lately there have been some issues where when one laptop is connected to the Internet, another one won't connect, and vice versa. Today, the desktop and 2 of the laptops were connected, but when we tried to connect 2 of the other ones, it connected to the router but both got messages that the Internet has limited or no connection.

Is it possible that there is some sort of conflict between the computers? Or perhaps a setting in the router that needs to be changed? We're using a Linksys router with WEP enabled.

Appreciate any comments, as I can't seem to find the solution. Thanks!

Hi,

I work in a corporate IT environment and have recently noticed alot of our 64 bit laptops are blue screening due to iaStor.sys (Intel Rapid storage technology driver - x64)

I have been able to do the basic analyzing but It would be a great help if anyone could follow this up and let me know if there is anything else causing this as I have removed the driver and installed a new one but it still appears to be blue screening

I have attached a zip folder with mini dumps attached (Couldn't get the SF Diagnostics tool working)

Many Thanks!

It looks like all of your BSODs are being caused by the Intel display driver:

A few days ago the three windows running laptops in my apt randomly lost internet connection. The network would display as full strength connection but no pages would load in IE or FF. However, the one macbook was still working (although sluggish) After trying to futz with the IP settings on each of the laptops, I gave up and reset the router hoping everything would go back to normal.

Well, now nothing works. All four machines still show full strength connection but nothing will load and no IM clients will connect. So, I tried to hardwire the connection to one of the computers straight from the modem and again, same issue. It shows a full connection, packets being sent and received, but no actually connection whatsoever.

Of course my ISP sees the modem connected and claims it can't be their problem so I'm left to fix this on my own.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm at my wit's end on this one.

I have multiple new(2011) dell laptops 2 different models, all running windows 7. They work fine on the company network. But when the users take them home and get on VPN they get a BSOD Bad Pool Header 0x19 (0x20, 0xFFFFFFFFB98807E0, 0xFFFFFFFFB9880840, 0x80C0006). It seems to point to dne2000.sys file. If someone could tell me what is causing this exactly and how to fix it. I would appreciate it very much. I am stuck. I have attached the dump files for 2 laptops that are having the error. If there is anything else you need let me know. Thanks.

Both machines are virtually identical in the problem. They Related to dne2000.sys Network Enhancer from Deterministic Networks.. It is over 3 years old and cant possibly work in win 7. I would update to a win 7 compliant version or remove it completely.

We have ~750 T480s (model 20L8S4HL00) laptops running Win10 Enterprise 1703 in our environment, and at least 35 of the laptops have non-functional Fibocom L850-GL WWAN modules. What makes matters worse is that this issue can also cause repeated BSoDs, sometimes multiple per day. Problem Symptoms and Actions TakenThe "Intel(R) USB Flash Loader utility" / "Fibocom USB Flash Loader Utility" repeatedly connects and disconnects roughly once a minute, and when doing so the Windows "device unplugged" sound is heard. The HWID of this device is "USB\VID_8087&PID_07F5\5&1AD8E564&0&6". Refer to the screenshot below The frequent and repeated hardware disconnections cause problems with the enterprise security software we use for encrypting external media, to the point that after a certain point the computer experiences a BSoDThe only associated driver that remains active in Device Manager is the "Intel(R) XMM7360-P WWAN", all other associated WWAN drivers show up as hidden with code 45 (disconnected)If all WWAN drivers are uninstalled and the drivers are deleted, the only devices that are subsequently discovered are the flash loader utility and the Intel XMM7360, all of the others are no longer found and Windows cannot seem to find them againInstalling all of the latest device drivers and firmware using the Lenovo System Update tool do not mitigate this issue, nor does manually uninstalling/reinstalling the WWAN driversTemporarily disabling the built-in... Hi all

First post ever to a computer forum

I have a new computer and I am planning to output to on or more of three monitors including a 42 inch TV

I have an ATI 5770 GPU

The output will be identical on the different displays

Stupid question - does the output to multiple monitors slow the performance? If so it there a way to activate only the monitor or monitors that I will be using?

Thanks

Will

A:Multiple monitors

Welcome to SevenForums! You made the right decision posting here.

If you have a compatible video card, you will have no trouble using dual monitors. Performance impact will be slight, unnoticeable unless you are trying to game that way.

Yes, you can disable any monitors you do not use. Right-click on the desktop, and click Screen Resolution. YOu can go from there.

Hope this helps,
~Jonathan

Greetings all!
I have the following issue I need assistance in resolving.
I currently have my Syncmaster 2033 as my primary viewing screen.
I'm able to use a Sharp Aquos independantly to view Hi def, provided I have the syncmaster disconnected! That is I cannot have both connected, the syncmaster connect6ed via dvi connection and the Aquos connected by HDMI connection.
When I start my system the syncmaster displays the windows logo but then goes dark and the Aquos lights up and is the main view screen while the sysncmaster is dark.
So how can I use multiple monitors?
My specs are updated on the bottom left and I have downloaded the latest ATI catalyst drivers.

Regards,
Adrian

A:Multiple Monitors

The monitor have a VGA connection? If so try it with that instead of the DVI connection. Problem is as I understand it is that both the DVI and HDMI connections can't be used at the same time. Don't remember where I saw it but has something to do with using two digital connections at the same time (and how the RAMDAC's handle it), but works fine with the VGA and HDMI.

I have a laptop which I use both at work and at home. At work I plug in an extra monitor to give me effectively 2 monitors. When I use the laptop at home I don't have an extra monitor but if I open up programs such as Notepad or Adobe Photoshop, the windows are nowhere to be seen.........as they are still on the other monitor!! Is there any way to move them without being able to see them?

Any ideas?

I'm tearing my hair out!!

Thanks

is it possible to setup my tv to monitor status if i install another graphics card from another computer or do i need to get some kind of adapter to link my pc to monitor and tv. I can use either at the moment but want to have connection to both all the time

A:multiple monitors

You need a video card with two outputs or use two video cards. If you use two cards, you should use cards of the same brand (ie: ATI or nVidia).

With that said, it also depends on the TV and the type of inputs that it supports. You then need a card with an output that matches the TV input (ie: HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc.)

I have an external monitor (AOC 27" computer monitor) added and would like to add another. The addition would be a Hitachi ROKU 42" LED. The hitachi would be used on a AT&T Connect conf hosted call. The monitor is used for additional info from laptop and the laptop screen for other support as needed during the conference. Will this work and if so how do I get all three screens up at the same time?'

I have just purchased an ACER 1916W monitor. I am running Windows XP, and have downloaded all the appropriate drivers for the monitor.I am trying to set up multiple monitors. I can set up my monitors to where I can drag from on monitor to the other. Though I want have the ACER monitor display to display exactly what I am seeing on my laptop display. That way I can just tuck my laptop up under the monitor shelf, and use another keyboard so I will have desk space. I have spent at least a day trying to work it myself and trying to talk to a tech from acer, but no luck. Also I was reading somthing about a cloned display, and it look like you may need some additional software. Though I am unsure. well anyhelp would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
