I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi, I am thinking about purchasing the Yoga 730 with a GTX 1050 and 8GB of RAM with the intention of upgrading it myself to 16GB. However, I'm somewhat confused by the spec sheet; it lists the 15.6" version as having 8 GB DDR4 + 8 GB DIMM. Does this mean that it comes with 8GB soldered and can have an additional 8GB DIMM module installed?

Hey i wanted to know if yoga 910 model with FHD is upgradable to 16 Gigs of ram. If the RAM is soldered permanently, can i buy a FHD model with 16 Gigs? I am trying to avoid 4k resolution for longer battery life, but Amazon and other sites dont seem to have a model with 16 Gigs and FHD. So if anyone from Lenovo community has the answer, it would be helpful.

I've been using a Synaptics Touchpad for many years, which has a lot of features. I have almost regretted buying this laptop because its touchpad is without any extensions. Is there any options to upgrade this "HID Compatible", so I can get more features? You will save my life if you can point out some possibilities Thanks in advance, Leif

Hi I was trying to buy an ssd for my Yoga500 but I'm not really sure which ssd to pick, I dont have a big budget to spend for it. I have an external  disk connected - 1TB HDD via usb enclosure so I dn't really need 1TB ssd (too expensive), also I have WDC WD10S21X-24R1BT0-SSHD-8GB inside the Yoga, so I'll have 2 TB disks USB connected to it so I'll be fine with the amount of storage. Main thing is to getn an ssd to the laptop to make it a bit "quicker" as sometimes because of the hdd inside its freezing.I was thingking about 2 options: 1) samsung evo 850 250 GB( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-inch-Solid-State-Drive/dp/B00P736UEU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1483971... )2) sandisk ssd plus 480 GB( https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-PLUS-535MB-2-5-Inch-Internal-x/dp/B01F9G46Q8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid... ) I'm more likely to buy a bigger one, its almost the same price. What you think? which one is better? obviously if its possible to change to sandisk (im not sure). If you have any other propositions or suggestions, all are welcome. Thanks

Picked up a Lenovo Yoga 11s from Best Buy.  I chose Best Buy for price, color, and processor.  They had a slightly better deal than Lenovo.com.  The clementine color looks great.  Quality is great.  I'm very happy with the purchase.  It has the i5 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD. I upgraded the SSD and RAM and found the upgrade relatively easy.  Here is a basic step by step and results.  (note the parts I chose increased the cost by close to $400.  I chose these parts based on quality, performance, and power usage.  There are cheaper alternatives, but I wanted an upgrade and money was not my concern.) Upgraded PartsRAM - Patriot Memory 8GB PC3-12800 1600MHZ CL11 1.35V - Purchased at Newegg, but could have saved a couple dollars on Amazon. I chose this part based on previous experience with Patriot and the low voltage RAM.  A lot of the RAM is higher voltage and I wanted to make sure I reduced heat and power usage.  When you look for 1.35V RAM, there are not a lot of options... MSata SSD Drive - Intel SSD 525 Series 240GB DriveIntel SSD PageI purchased through Newegg I chose the Intel drive based on previous experience with Intel.  They cost more, but I've found their performance to be good and reliability good.  There is also a good review on this drive on Tomshardware Tomshardware Intel 525 Review.  Toms review shows top performing drive and low power.  I also looked a... Hello.  Certain games I play on my Lenovo Yoga 900 crash and the reason is that I think the graphics card is not powerful enough. The display driver often stops responding. I was wondering if I could upgrade the graphics card from the Intel HD Graphics 520 to the GeForce GTX 980 or something else. Thanks.

A:Upgrade graphics card Lenovo Yoga 900

Good day and welcome to the community.

There is no way to upgrade the graphics subsystem on your machine. The Intel HD 520 is integrated in the chipset package. Though some laptops have discrete graphics chips, almost none were socketed. They're soldered, instead.

Hope this helps to clarify.

Hello everybody, I have acquired as mentioned in the title the Lenovo Yoga 300-11IBR Model 80M1 notebook for taking notes in class. It comes with a pre-installed 500 Gb SSHD. Hello. I'm having a substandard issue with my Lenovo Yoga Laptop that I will try to explain in complete detail. First I'll summarize what's going on, then I'll list all  the details that could be related to this problem, no matter how small, in order of most likely related to least likely related. I'm an IT technician so I have some grasp of computer troubleshooting, just keep in mind. Alright, so the issue is that my Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga (can't find exact model, label only days Yoga and its dated in 2013) will not boot into Windows 10 after I have done an upgrade from Windows 8.1 using Microsoft's media creation tool. More specifically, I was able to do the firat time setup and boot on once but after searching for Windows updates and restarting, the computer will not boot on. The most likely reason for this I believe is that the laptop doesn't recognize the SSD with Windows 10 on it. It can detect it in some ways but not others. In Lenovo diagnostics I'm not able to run a storage test, which is an option I know is usually there because I've troubleshooted these before, which leads me to believe it doesn't recognize it. However, boot menu and BIOS recognize the drive. Attempting to boot to it from boot menu gives a long black screen and then it takes me back to boot menu. Letting my computer boot up normally also gives a long black screen after the ThinkPad logo and the automatically goes to boot menu. The other diagnostics for Lenovo hardware all pass. So some... Hi all, I recently purchased a Lenovo Yoga 300-11IBR with the 32gb internal hard drive. I thought it would suit my purpose well as I only want to use it to run software to check error codes on my car (not much hard drive capacity required). I'm really disappointed though as I thought it would be super-fast to boot and use with 32gb SSD that only runs the operating software; how wrong I was... Long story short I?m trying to improve the performance and would like to install a 64gb SSD; I have remove the back and found the connector (SATA_CONN1) but it has no cable connector. Does this mean the motherboard will not support a SATA drive or does it mean I need a connector soldered on (this looks very tricky as the pins are so close together). See attached photos of the inside of my notebook and the connector cable I intended to purchase. Any help would be greatly appreciated; if I don?t get this resolved the notebook will be going in the bin and I?ve wasted a reasonable amount of money. Final resort is to down grade from windows 10 to windows 7 and free up some disk space. I?d like to do this anyway but struggled for 6 hours already to undertake this task; I keep receiving an Error Code: 0x6 Thanks, Richard

Since you have to hunt around different Lenovo sites (and other sites) to find out about these softwares, I decided to make a post to get feedback from actual Yoga owners on how these programs interact, what they do, which ones are prerequisite, and which ones are unnecessary. Please don't take this as a blanket answer. This is just what I have found. It might be right - it might be wrong. I'm looking for others to post their experiences as well. Lenovo System Interface Foundation Driver - Necessary prerequisite (missing driver in device manager without it). It allows the Lenovo Utility and Lenovo Companion to work. Lenovo Yoga Mode Control - Necessary if you want to use your yoga to seemlessly change between all the different modes (laptop, tablet, tent, stand). This software is responsible for autorotating and putting Windows into tablet mode. Lenovo Utility - Recommended(?) This one I'm not too sure on. I remember that I was missing some function that I wanted but I can't remember what it was now. Maybe battery cycle count and health? Lenovo Companion - I don't have this one installed and don't think it's necessary but would like someone else to shed some light here.
