Preferred Solution: G50-80 - Microphone problem with Adobe Connect.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi, I have a problem that appeared on your forum but has now expired. I want to use a webcam with Adobe Connect. An image appears but it is upside down. When I try to share the image with others, Adobe Connect crashes.
All software is up to date: Adobe Connect, Flash, Webcam software IE.

I bought a new camera, (Logitech 170), installed it and disabled the laptops internal camera. Rebooted several times.
The problem is precisely the same with each camera.
Perhaps it is an add-on in IE?

Appreciate any help.

I recently bought a Logitech USB Microphone, and I'm trying to record using Adobe Audition 2.0. For some reason it's not working. I used to have one of those microphones that would connect into the microphone port, and that worked perfectly. But for some reason the USB microhphone wont, and I have no idea why! It works with Microsofts Sound Recorder, but not with audition, does anyone know why, and how I can fix this?

Thanks.

Hi there folks,

I know this problem has been reported before, and other replies have helped me on past machines. However Ive just bought a new laptop with more processing power (Acer 5735 laptop with 4GB RAM, 2GH dual core processor on Vista Home Premium) and the methods I used on my last machines are not working now. The problem is with trying to use a microphone input for live multi tracking on AA3 there is an error message:

"the audio input is not activated recording audio is not possible please check your configuration"

I have installed the ASIO4ALL soundcard driver and have it highlighted in the Audio Hardware Setup, the input device is also listed as the Realtek High Definition Audio mic. That is how the program advises it should be and it has worked before on my last machine, but now no matter what I try the above error message keeps showing and there is no sound getting through the mic to be recorded. However the mic works with another program (RecordPad sound recorder) so I know the sound card must be working, and the mic is a pro mic. Could this be caused by a clash with other audio programs I have installed? And I really don't know much about setting up the asio driver.

I've been up against this brick wall for days now and getting nowhere. If anyone can please help I will be very grateful!! Any other info you need please ask.

Love and Light

Dean Rose

A:Microphone won't work on Adobe Audition 3/Vista

Try testing the Mic in Windows Sound Recorder. If that works then there is a problem with the Adobe software recognizing the Mic. If it doesn't work then you still have a problem with the sound card Mic input. Make sure you are plugging this into the red Mic input of the sound card or motherboard and not the Blue Line In port.

I had the same trouble and even purchased a more up to date camera with buiit in microphone, could record and play back video with sound but had the little yellow marker in the hardware manager. I even downloaded the up to date software from the manufactures website - no difference -so I removed all the software for the camera unplugged the camera and did not reinstall from the disc - I went in to the manufactures site and redownoaded the exact update that I had taken down after installing the disc that came with it and set up as prompted - camera to the usb etc and it installed and I have it working perfectly. So when I plug in my Blue Snowball, a device setup window pops up, but then the device installation process gets stuck halfway through.

This has happened multiple times, and I've left it going overnight a few of those times, but to no avail. And I've tried using it anyway just in case the installation isn't necessary, but it doesn't work.

I tried contacting Blue support to see if they had any drivers or anything, but they told me that it's supposed to be plug and play, so there's nothing they can do to help me, especially since I built the PC myself.

So, any insight? I'm running Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro, and here's my build.

I wonder for some probably unfounded reason if it might be one of my original system drivers I downloaded and installed, because I've tried reinstalling Windows a few times, and the mic problem persists... Each time I reinstall, the first thing I do is go to the websites of each of the parts and download and install the driver each company provides for the component. Do I not need all of those?

There are three audio jacks in the rear panel, one is occupied by speakers, and the other two is free.
Thanks.

Hello!  According to specifications those rear connectors are just for speakers.  You can have a surround sound system connected via the back.  It looks like the front jack is the only way to connect a traditional microphone.

Hello,

I just got the Dictation 11.0 voice to text software in the mail, and after installing it and using the headset microphone (everything working perfectly), I pulled the microphone cord out of the jack while the software was loaded (why i do not know why i did that) and when I put it back in it does not work.

A bit of background info:

I run windows vista on a laptop and when I tried to trouble shoot it, my bright idea was to go into control panel and disable the mic, and the try to enable it again. Now I cannot find my microhpone anywhere in the control panel to re-enable it. The software still picks up that the microphone is connected (although the control panel does not), but neither can register any sound.

I did check to see if anything was muted in the mixer, and nothing is.

Does anyone have any ideas?

forever grateful for any input.

thanks

Any ideas why I can't connect to www.adobe.com? I get an error message saying "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Same problem when I try using Firefox. Also happens if a do a Google search on Adobe.com and try to connect to the Adobe site via the link.

I am using a HP laptop operating on Windows XP.

Probably related to this problem: When I try to download a pdf file from an internet link, I get an error message refering to the file adobepdf.dll. I downloaded the file and installed it, but the problem persists.

Hi,

I have tried everything on Adobe's website to solve this issue. I have also tried uninstalling the applications and re-installing them. I reset the laptop this morning, but to no avail. This is a new computer, which got delivered 3 days ago.

My exams will be over by Dec 11. I have 44 days to watch the lectures, study and appear for assignments. I had taken two days' leave from work to catch up on my studies. Those days have been wasted trying to open a single lecture.

I would be very grateful, if someone could help me in sorting this out.

We see this freezing camera issue too. We believe it is related to the other Windows 8.1 issues with Adobe Connect. Here's a forum thread discussing Windows 8.1 issues; http://www.connectusers.com/forums/topic/10006/recording-issues-with-connect-922-and-windows-81/ Adobe has suggested the Windows 8.1 issues would be fixed in 9.3 and 9.4 but they weren't. Hi folks Suspect there's an issue with the driver on X1 Carbon 6 gen after an update from MS. The driver is Realtek High Definition Audio(SSD). It says the latest and correct driver is installed but looking at the logs on the driver the last message on 10 July 2019 is 'device not migrated' and its ambigious as to whether the driver is installed. So, that's why I think my microphone isn't working. At least I can't get Cortana to hear me and I can't do anythign with the microphone settings on normal routes in Windows and via Lenovo. Systems checks on hardware say all is fine. Tried downloading the driver from Lenovo and installing but the laptop knows better and won't install it saying all is fine with the microphone universe. Any advice? Not keen on waiting for Lenovo and Windows to realise the issue and update (if it's a driver issue). Admitidely i'm not great with machinse so might have missed a setup step or switch on somewhere. Richard

I have a Dell Vostro 1500, running 32-bit Windows 7. It came with Vista, but I upgraded to Windows 7 a couple months ago, which I think is causing the issues I'm experiencing. According to whoever I'm speaking with, the sound for the microphone built in to my webcam fades in and out and gets really loud randomly. In an attempt to solve this, I bought an external microphone which also does not work.

The sound driver is the SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC, version 6.10.0.5614. When I tried to update it through Windows 7's update driver software it says I have the best version for my system, but I still suspect that this could be what is causing the problem. I can't seem to find a better driver though.

Hey guys, this is more for a friend than myself.
Basically, he's brought a new microphone and so he says, its on full-blast however, the volume is still really quiet. He has google'd solutions but they've all come up to go to "control panel, sound, properties, custom, mic boost" but he says on his computer (Windows Vista) he has no custom tab. Anyway, just hoping you guys could help us either find the custom tab or find another way of boosting the sound as you can barely hear anyone through the mic. The microphone he says, only says "VIA High Definition Audio" on it if that's anymore help.

Cheers,
Rob.

1) Right-click the speaker icon in the system tray.
2) Select 'Recording Devices'.
3) Highlight 'Microphone'.
4) Click 'Properties'.
5) Select the 'Custom' tab.
6) 'Mic Boost' is on this page. Enable or disable it as required.

Basically my mic wont work at all, I've tried two, so it isn't the mic thats bust.

It was working till I got a new motherboard, a KV7 ABIT, I had some cheap soundcard before that and it worked ok.

I really don't know what to do now, I've fiddled with a loada options in the sounds an audio devices thing.

One thing, I had the same problem once before, I fixed it by enabling microphone boost in mixer, but I have no mixer with these drivers, or at least none in the taskbar.

The problem is my microphone will not work .it was working 1 day but when i tryed it the next day it wouldnt work.

I have checked to see if its the microphone by testing it in another computer and it works fine. I have made sure it in the right port and it is.
I have changed my sound card into a different pci slot to see if this makes any difference but it doesnt .I was thinking maybe the soundcard is packing up although its faily new and the sound works fine. Maybe it could be a setting ???

Any help would be grate?????

Thanks ipatriot

first check the settings in control panel, reinstall drivers, update drivers, open case and check if card is firm in the pci slot. th mike port may be bad
