I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I went to get something and when I came back, it was still on the booting screen and the loading circle thing was still turning. I have Windows 10 running on this laptop. I restarted my laptop and the booting  screen came up again but it said Preparing Automatic Repair. I even tried to fix my bios thing as well but it didn't help. PLEASE HELP

A:ThinkCentre: Stuck at Lenovo splash screen after lenovo solution bios upgrade

I would try resetting the BIOS using the jumper, or by taking out the CMOS battery, wait a minute or two, and then replace it and try booting up. See page 73 of the Hardware Maintenance Manaul linked below for location of the Clear CMOS/Recovery jumper (# 20) https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/thinkcentre_pdf/m83m93p_hmm.pdf Clearing the CMOS (BIOS)1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer. 2. Remove the computer cover. 3. Locate the Clear CMOS /Recovery jumper on the system board. 4. Move the jumper from the standard position (pin 1 and pin 2) to the maintenance position (pin 2 and pin 3). 5. Reinstall the computer cover and connect the power cord. 6. Turn on the computer and leave it on for approximately 10 seconds. Then, turn off the computer by holding the power switch for approximately five seconds. 7. Repeat step 1 through step 2. 8. Move the Clear CMOS /Recovery jumper back to the standard position (pin 1 and pin 2). 9. Reinstall the computer cover and connect the power cord. Good Luck,

Hi Azadkv,

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

I?m sorry to hear that your G500 Laptop is not booting to Windows and hanging at Lenovo Logo and the issue persists even after performing Flee-Power step. Hence, I suggest to perform BIOS reset and check if the issue persists. Below are the steps to perform BIOS reset:

To access BIOS menu turn OFF the Laptop and press the NOVO button located beside power button.
Then to reset the BIOS to its defaults click on ?F9? Key and select YES.
Now click on ?F10? Key to save the changes that are done in BIOS, the computer will automatically restart.

Do post us back if the issue persists.

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

My g580 ran out of battery while using it, and now it gets stuck on the lenovo logo. I tried a different hard drive which changed nothing, I've tested both hard drives on a different computer and they both work. However when I boot the laptop with no harddrive it will get past the logo go to a screen saying something about an unplugged cable then reset and get stuck on a blank screen.   If I plug in my windows recovery usb drive( and no harddrive) the the machine will boot normally and go to the windows installation screen. So any ideas on why a working harddrive would stop the system from booting? Also I've tried the whole taking out the battery unplugging it holding down the power key and then plugging it back in thing, did nothing.

The first thing I look at if a machine hangs at startup is the USB ports.  Physical damage can create shorts which cause these symptoms.  Check for bent pins or a tongue broken off.

I also tried pressing the the Novo button (the small round and black button besides the power button) but the screen shows no change and does not go to bios/reset menu on pressing f9/f12 too. So I've had my Lenovo laptop for about a year now, I believe the warranty on it is expired now. I don't want to spend money on what I think is a simple repair. When I was trying to clear my storage I fell asleep and my laptop died, it didn't get to properly clear the storage and shut down. Now whenever I try to load up my laptop, this message appears  (If you can't read the picture; The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart installation.) When I click OK, it loads and then the same message appears again. It's an endless loop. I looked up different videos telling me to fix this, I should disassemble the laptop, take out the battery, and hold the power button down for about 30 seconds. I wouldn't mind trying this approach, but I can't find a disassembly video specifically for my laptop and I don't want to damage even further or beyond repair. If that's what I need to do, then getting help here with it would be great. Then I tried opening the boot menu, I did this by pressing FN and F12 when turning on the computer. I wanted to try and run a diagnostics test to try and see what was wrong, but it only gave me these options and couldn't figure out how. I pressed enter on both of these options to see if it would fix this issue, nothing happened as far as I could tell.  I moved on from that to the InsydeH20 Setup Ut... Read more

I got stuck in the Windows 8 update loop and had to restore my computer to factory settings. When this happened to me a year ago I just updated to windows 10 and had no problems. So I got out of the windows 8 update loop by restoring to factory settings then downloading windows 10. Windows 10 installed then restarted my computer. Now my computer is stuck on the Lenovo screen with no loading circle or cursor and I cannot access BIOS.Here's a list of the things I tried:Ctrl + Alt + DelF1, F4, F8 - Repeatedly tapping and HoldingRemoving and replacing batteryTurning on with only AC cable and no batteryRemoving DVD driveTurning it on upside downRemoving AC cord and battery, holding power button for 15 seconds-30seconds - 40seconds and replacing power and turning onRemoving and replacing RAM And right now I unplugged it from AC power and I'm trying to drain the battery. My Lenovo U410 Touch recently got damaged - the hinge broke causing the touch screen to **bleep**.I was told that a repair was not feasible as none of the repair shops near me were able to source the parts needed.I therefore bought a new laptop. However, there is a lot of data on the old laptop that I want to access, including sorting out the licensing of MS Office (by uninstalling from the old one).I cannot do anything about it as the old machine is completely unusable as due to the touch screen being cracked, it seems to think it is constantly being touched in multiple places on the screen. This means that I cannot access the laptop to copy the data or uninstall Office. Anyone know any way around this that doesn't involve taking it to a repair shop to "recover" my data. Cheers

A:Lenovo S210 Touch broken LCD and Touch screen

Hi Magnutus, welcome to the forums.

Please check if you Lenovo S210 is on warranty under with this tool.
After that you can open a ticket with Lenovo for the screen to be fixed, if it is not under warranty it will have a cost.

If you are the guys that like to fix it yourself (and it is not under warranty) I can recommend you to check the support site for your model, read the Hardware Maintenance Manual (on the documents area) and check how the machine is organized on the inside. On the parts lookup page you can find the parts number so you can find a replacements for the component that is giving you issues.

I hope this links helps you.

Hey everybody, I just received my P40 last week as a replacement for another Lenovo device. So far, everything seems to work fine with one exception: When I turn the screen over to the "tablet position", the touch screen and the touch pen show erroneous behaviour.a) As soon as I make the first input with the touch pen, I cannot make any further input with my finger, so the touch input is simply turned off. The Windows setting to ignore touch input when the stylus is used is not active.b) When I try to tap buttons at certain areas of the screen, especially at the upper edge, the cursor of the stylus starts jumping around and shows up at the lower edge of the screen. That means that when I for example tap on the "X" symbol in the upper right corner to close a window, I actually click on some of the symbols in the system tray in the lower right corner. This problem stops occuring as soon as the angle between the two case parts (screen and keyboard) reaches/exceeds approx. 40. It does not matter if Windows is in "Tablet" or "Desktop" Mode. I already tried to manually install another Wacom driver mentioned at https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-S-Series-ThinkPad-Yoga/Wacom-Tablet-Service-for-ISD-Driver-Win... and https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-P-and-W-Series-Mobile/P40-Yoga-issues/td-p/3293985. I had no luck trying driver versions 7.3.3.12, 7.3.4.8 and 7.3.4.13. I would really appreciate your help since this issue makes working in the tablet position... Read more

I tried booting up my laptop this morning but all it's doing is flashing the Lenovo logo, powering down and repeating the process. I can hear the fan starting up and shutting off as well. I did a bit of research and found that this is a common problem and I tried the potential solutions but so far nothing has worked. I tried starting in safe mode, opening task manager and just pressing the power button to turn it off but it's not responding to any of the commands. When ever I remove the battery, unplug the power cord and hold the button for 30 seconds and put the battery back it in just resumes the loop without me even pressing the power button. When I close my laptop it seems like it's shutdown (no sleep light or noises from the fan) It was working fine all day yesterday there was a bit of a power outage while it was plugged into the outlet but it was still working without an issue Should I just let it run until the battery runs out? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

A:When booting I get an Error 0210: Stuck Key 01 Lenovo Thinkpad

Hi Sukumar,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I?m sorry to hear that you are getting stuck key error in your Lenovo ThinkPad.

Stuck key error means that one or more keys on the keyboard are stuck. It's possible that a liquid spill can also cause one or more keys to electrically "short" causing the error. Inspect the keyboard and check if any keys are mechanically stuck.

If you're mechanically handy you can remove the keyboard, inspect any chances of damage or corrosion. Plug it back and see if error is still occurring.

Reset BIOS to default settings. Perform Flee Power ? remove the battery and any other peripheral device connected to the computer. Hold the power button for 10-15 seconds and then connect only the AC Adapter and turn ON the computer.

If none of the above said helped to resolve your concern, I strongly recommend you to contact our technical support for assistance.

Click here to open a link where you can select the country and get the exact contact support number. I?m sure they will be a great help.

Best Regards,

Went to turn it on the other day and while everything booted fine I got no response from the screen. My first thought was something had happened to the video card so tried plugging it into my tv via hdmi and everything worked fine there. Tried a replacement screen next which semi worked. I at least get the lenovo splash screen when I turn the laptop on but after a few seconds it starts to go kinda glitchy and dissapears after the system succesfully POSTs after which I still have a blank screen. At this point im thinking that it might be the 30pin cable between the screen and the mainboard? I have one ordered but it's going to be about 3 weeks before I get it. IS there anything im missing here that could also be causing this issue?

1. Perform a System Recovery via the OneKey Recovery button to check if the issue is on the OS level (ensure you backup important files first as this procedure will wipe all data on the OS partition).

2. Use HWINFO or similar utility to identify the monitor used on the system and compare it to the Touchscreen panels used on the Y50-70 Touch.

Alternatively, you can post the machine type model (eg. 59-123456) of the Y50 for me to check if it has touchscreen capability or not.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards

My touchscreen cracked- but I bought a $200 insurence policy from Staples, which is where I purchase my computer (and I will NEVER do that again and I don't recommend it). The policy covered accidental damages, such as a cracked screen, but after jumping through hoop after hoop to file a claim, Staples called me saying that they won't fix it becuase it's too expensive, even though I bought insurence. They offered a refund for my computer, but I refused because I adore my Yoga.      I'm really hoping someone can point me in the direction of a third party repairer, or even somewhere where I can buy a replacement touchscreen and have someone like Geek Squad install it. Any suggestions?

A:Replacement Touch Screen for Lenovo Yoga

Get the refund for the computer and buy yourself another yoga. I would even request for the old machine back, make a OKR image. Then nuck reformat the hdd and give it back to staples for a full refund. Once done, restore the new yoga with the image you made.

Hello I've bought a Lenovo Y70-70 Touch laptop. It worked well but the screen started flickering black and showing horizontal lines with rainbow color.I've Updated Video Card drivers for the both cards but it didin't work. Please help me to resolve this issue. My laptop is new I have it from like 2-3 months.

A:Y70-70 Touch Laptop (Lenovo) Screen flickering

Hi there, Mons   -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

To fix the flickering problem, you should first check the laptop cables for loose connections. So engineer have already diagnosed and confirmed, it was not the lcd cable which is faulty.

Another possible reason for the flickering problem in computer screens is interference of magnetic fields from other gadgets. Yes, check if near your laptop, you haven't placed speakers, fluorescent lights, cell phones, radios and any other electrical device. If it is so, you must remove any such interfering electrical gadgets away from your laptop. Studies have proved that cell phones do cause screen flickering.

Try and identify when you face this issue, when on Battery power, mains AC adapter or in both scenarios? Is it for a particular power plan or for all power plans? Also check if this happen when you enter BIOS and in Safe Mode too.

Please follow the below steps:

If updating video drivers does not help, uninstall and reinstall the Video drivers.
Open Control Panel\All Control Panel It ems\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings and restore the default power plan settings by clicking on Restore default settings for this plan. Do this for all your Power Plans.
Change the refresh rate and see if that helps.

Update us how it goes.

Hi I have bought Lenovo Yoga 500 14 i3 six months ago. Several months ago on the left side of the screen appeared ghost touches. This ghosts touches were exactly on one line of the screen, it is about 6 centimetres from right edge. I went to warranty center and they changed the screen. Two months has passed. And exactly in the same screen line touch screen stoped to work. If to put laptop in 360degree mode - everything works ok.Here is the video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xnz_L_11f8Actually I am begining to want my money back.
