Q: Could not load file or assembly 'sorttbls.nlp' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find this specified File.

Well just updated windows to find I now get this error message when loading up windows;

Quote:

Could not load file or assembly 'sorttbls.nlp' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find this specified File.

Now this is coming form ATI Catalyst, I know so cause the error message has the new CCC logo. Now what stinks is its apparently something wrong with Microsoft NET, yet I have googled the problem and tried many fixes but with no avail. Right now I am pretty
mad cause I have CCC which wont work anymore, Zune, and also my windows is freaking out. Now I have spent the last hour trying to fix this dang issue and need help as I am stuck... Please help, ANY help at all is much appreciated.
Also this was after I had to restore my system because the new Microsoft updated screwed up my system...

Preferred Solution: Could not load file or assembly 'sorttbls.nlp' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find this specified File.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A: Could not load file or assembly 'sorttbls.nlp' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find this specified File.

Hi,

I've searched the sorttbls.nlp file in my computer, and find that this file should be a component of the .NET Framework 2.

Also I find some information in the AMD support website:

• The AMD Catalyst™ Control Center requires that the Microsoft® .NET Framework SP1 be installed for Windows XP and Windows Vista. Without .NET SP1 installed, the AMD Catalyst™ Control Center will not launch properly and the user will see an error message.
• When installing the AMD Catalyst™ driver for Windows operating system, the user must be logged on as Administrator or have Administrator rights to complete the installation of the AMD Catalyst™ driver.

Please refer:

http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst112ReleaseNotes.aspx

You can try the steps below to resolve this problem.
Firstly, please go to Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Uninstall a program -> Turn Windows features on or off,

• If the checkbox of Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 is not been selected, then select it and click OK.
• If the checkbox of Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 is been selected, unselect the checkbox first, click OK. Then open the Turn Windows features on or off again and select Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1, click OK.
Then, please try to install the AMD Catalyst™ Control Center again.
If the above steps still not working, please perform the steps in this blog to fix the .NET Framework 2.0 in Windows 7:

Acer Aspire One Netbook
Running Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3

Here is my challenge:
After 1.5 years of smooth sailing my Netbook has been acting up lately
My pressing issue is this. My iPhone has an app from Senstic for viewing my Netbooks webcam remotely.
Today when I reset my NB. It had an error message regarding the desktop app from Senstic. So I decided to Add/[Remove] the app from my NB and when I went to dl & install, an error message came up. "Could not load file or assembly 'sorttbls.nlp' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

Now I went to get a separate app and the same message appeared.
I saw a few articles on this topic but all seem to lead to dead ends and dead links.

Does anyone know a fix?

Hi there.... I have a new laptop (3 months old) and have been getting this pop up message from the get go every time I start it up.

"could not load file or assemby mom implementation or dependencies.."

It seems to be affecting a music program 'Songbird "by not recognizing my MP3 player. Not sure what other things it's affecting but know it can't be good to get that error message.
I've done some searching and know it has to do with the ATI, but not sure of following instructions I read in another post (as op sys was different) and I'm a bit uneasy about deleting stuff :-(.
could I get some detailed instructions on what to do?
thanks for any help

Hi, I have been struggling with this issue for quite a while now, I googled a lot before but I'm unable to find a way to solve it, so I'm going to ask it here, hopefully someone can help me.
I'm using Windows 10 Version 1703 (OS Build: 15063.483) (latest as for today)

First time I noticed the issue was when I tried to run Powershell via Node.js (rebuilding node-gyp), Powershell crashed without any message, so I thought it was Powershell's issue, but when I tried to run it, I had the following message:

This picture shows "System.Transactions" failing, but any other software that requieres any System.X (such as System.Web or so) will fail to run correctly.

I have already tried by reinstalling .NET a few times, since that's the most logical way to fix it, but didn't work. Also when I Googled, 90% of the issues were in Visual Studio references, this issue doesn't only affect VS, but any Windows software, I have never worked with Visual Studio.

Thanks.

First of all, great forum this is only my second post but I learned a lot in here. now the problem:

When I try to make a project in VS2013 (any type) I get this error:

Code:
> Could not load file or assembly 'CustomMarshalers, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest.

and on Tools`-> Extensions and Updates -> Online I get this:

Code:
>Could not load file or assembly 'System.Net.Http, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest.

I've tried many fixes that apparently worked for others but they didnt help me:

- after uninstalling KB3022345, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth which said it repaired some things
- sfc /scannow gave this "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. I then followed this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833 here is the resulting file (sfcdetails.txt) : http://pastebin.com/0KGAatse
- I've also ran net framework repair tool and clean up tool (because someone suggested that the culprit was net framework in here Error - The Nexus Forums)

I also want to note that I also have the second error (system.net.http) with another program (Nexus mod manager)

Any help is appreciated.

I see you have an ATI Radeon graphics adapter. The error is probably related to it's "catalyst control center" software and .net Framework. Proceed as follows:

1) uninstall Catalyst Control Center
2) uninstall all versions of .NET Framework and restart Windows.
3) install .net Framework 3.5 and update with windows update.
4) install the latest Catalyst Full Driver Package from the AMD website, which includes the Catalyst Control Centre.

Download the latest driver software for your video card here.
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

Uninstall all ATI driver software.

Before installing, run windows updates and get the latest updates
including the .NET framework.
After updating, restart the computer then try installing the drivers.
Restart and see if the message is gone and catalyst control center is running.

If this does not correct the problem, you will need to uninstall the drivers and
catalyst software for the video card.
Then uninstall the .NET frameworks starting with the last one first.
You need to start with the last one first because they are each built
on the previous version.
Then restart the computer.
Reinstall the .NET frameworks then reinstall the ATI drivers.
Restart the computer.

Check that you have all the updates to .net
If your graphics are ATI update to the latest drivers.

You can try
BOOTREC /RebuildBcd
It may take a while so be patient and let it complete.

I doubt it will help though, you will probably have to do a new install of Windows 10 then try to copy files from the backup drive.

Everytime I start up my computer a dialogue box pops up and says

"Could not load file or assembly 'MOM.Implementation"

and if I don't shut the computer down after each use the screen-timeout comes on and then the computer is non-responsive with nothing showing on the screen. I tried the change/repair option on the ATI installer through my control panel and it hasn't helped. I am not computer savvy by any means, can someone help me fix this issue???

This means you either didn't install the .Net Framework thats required for the AMD CCC to work or it's damaged and needs to be reinstalled.

Depending on the AMD version you have, you need to have either version 2.0 or 4.0 installed, the latest versions use 4.0. Start with 4.0 and download from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851
.Net Framework 2.0 can be downloaded from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=1639
It's normal to have different versions installed, different programs require different versions and all version can co-exist with each other.

You can also download the latest AMD software for the HD 4200 from here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/legacy/Pages/legacy-radeonaiw-vista64.aspx

I have a Windows 7 driver installation question that has been nagging me for awhile. I now turn to the forums for help.

If I try to install a driver and not all of the driver files are present, I will get the error message "The system cannot find the file specified." But the problem is that it doesn't actually tell me what file it can't find. There is a large empty space right underneath the error, as if something should be in that spot, but the file name is not listed there.
(The above example is if you were to update the driver manually. Like if you were to click 'Update Driver', then 'Browse my computer for driver software', then 'Browse' to the directory with the INF file in it, and then click 'Next'.)

In Windows XP, if you received the same error, it would show you the name of the missing file.

My question is this... Is there a way to make Windows 7 display the actual file name it cannot find, like it did in Windows XP?

** Note - I am not looking for help installing drivers, or for alternative means of installing drivers. The above picture is just an example, it's not a driver I am having problems with. I just want to know if it's possible to figure out the missing file name.

A:Which File? (The system cannot find the file specified)

What driver are you trying to update and for what reason? Most of us download the drivers directly from the vendors website.

OK I have a problem which is driving me crazy so please help if you can.

I have just restored my pc's factory settins, so everything has been wiped.

I have not loaded any programs or software on to the pc, except one game I am trying to use.

The program works fine on my laptop and I get no error messages. But when I try and open the program on my pc I get the following message:

"Compenent "MSINET.OCX"or of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid."

I have downloaded the "MSINET.OCX" file and I have put it in the folder "C:\WINDOWS\system32"

I then type RegSvr32 msinet.ocx in the Start/Run, it the say the registration is successful.

I try to open the game again the error message still comes up.

I have tried another method of trying to register the, "MSINET.OCX" file

by downloading the MSINET.OCX file with another file, putting them in the same folder and clicking install. This also does not fix the problem.

I have tried it on both windows XP Home and Windows XP Proffessional but still get the message.

PLEEEAASSSEE HEEELLLP.

I am not a computer wizz but I have tried everything I have found on the web to do, but no luck, please someone with more brains than me help, thank you, Ash

Hi I currently switched over to Windows 7 64bit. I'm trying to install a software program but i keep getting "component richtx32.ocx or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

A:component richtx32.ocx or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid?

Hello,
I would like to confirm that what program did you install when you encountered the issue. Make sure the software is suitable and compatible for Windows 7 (64-bit).Check its compatibility:  http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx
Based on my research, if the software ,that was released without sufficient runtime files, may gives you Error 339 stating file missing error, such as"RICHTX32.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file missing or invalid.", which need this file should be upgraded to work with Windows 7.You will need to download RICHTX32.CAB and unzip the archive and extract the file RichTx32.ocx to the X:Windows\System64 folder.(X partition is the system boot partition.)If you still receive the error, register the RichTx32.ocx module using the following command (from Start, Run dialog):regsvr32.exe %systemroot%\system64\RICHTX32.OCXYou should see the message DllRegisterServer in X:\WINDOWS\system32\RICHTX32.OCX succeeded. after running the above command.

Hello everyone,

Firstly I would like to say that this seems like a swell enough forum as is and I am frankly out of ideas. About a year ago I had backed up a rather large series of files under one name for my roommate who was in the process of doing some "spring cleaning" on his computer. Fast forward to now and he is out of Hard-drive space damn near and has been unable to find the reserve file himself. Below is the directory under which I named and saved the around 200gb file of games and old-ROTC documents. Regardless the file needs to be found and even after un-hiding all files from the control panel, I have yet been able to locate it. It would seem to be simple enough, one would think that you could see the file name sitting above Program Files but it is not. Any one have any ideas, we would rather not have to reformat/ system restore if we can avoid it.

A:File path error/ Cannot find file directory/file itself

I used a software called TreeSize which shows the size of all folders on the disk. Thinking that the Windows OS is around 18gb, a 200gb files should really stick out with TreeSize.

Hello Everyone:
I am hoping that someone can help me.  I have a client that uses a MS Access database program for contact relationship management (CRM) that was designed in an old version of Access.  I just installed a new computer on their network running Windows
7 Pro and after installing the CRM program and trying to run it, I get the following message:
Run-time error '339':
Component 'vsflex8l.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid
I have tried several things to register the the file, but everything has failed.
Has anyone else had success with correcting this error?  If so, can you provide instructions?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Greg

A:Run-time error '339': Component 'vsflex8l.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

Hi,
vsflex8l.ocx is a file associated with the Development Tool ComponentOne for .NET developers. This error can be thrown from time to time if vsflex81.ocx is not properly registered.

To resolve this issue, re-register the control. To do this:
1.Locate the vsflex8l.ocx file by searching for it in Windows. Once the file path is located, follow these steps to register DLLs or OCXs:
2.Press WIN+R combination key.
3.Type regsvr32 "<path>\NameOfFile.extension", where
<path> is the directory where the file is located on your computer and
NameOfFile.extension is the name of the file.
Example: regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\Mydll.dll
4.Press Enter.
5.If the file registers successfully, the following popup message will display: DLLRegisterServer in
<path>\NameOfFile.extension succeeded
Example: DLLRegisterServer in c:\windows\system32\vflex8l.ocx  succeeded
Meanwhile, I would like to suggest you contact ComponentOne support for help.Karen Hu

I have been trying to install a windows update for some time now with no luck

Every time I launch a manual update.exe on my 2003 server I get a setup error
"the system cannot find the file specified" I click OK then immediately prompted with the setup error: "installation did not complete"

I did find an article on technet about this issue
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/944354
it instructs you to check to be sure that the reg key :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Ole]
Exists and it does so I am kind of at a loss here

I have tried running the update with logging enabled and I am unable to generate any logs
There are no errors in the system logs either

Additionally i have extracted the contents of the .exe to a directory then running the update manually and I get the same error
I even tried to see if I was able to
I was wondering if anyone here has ever seen this type of behavior

Hi,

As the title suggests, this is what my computer displays as it attempts to start up. It has Windows 8 installed, and what happens is it will try to load up, get to the Windows screen, which then will take a long time, for it to change to a blue screen displaying 'The system cannot find the file specified'.  I click it, and the screen goes black and comes back in a more purplish blue than before.  If that gets clicked, the procedure starts over with black screen and then back to the message and purplish screen.
How it came about is, I came home, started up the computer, went to the web for looking at the news.  It blue-screened and restarted, and began the above.  It has always been iffy, though, and would blue-screen fairly often (several times a week), but would always come back, though.  I haven't been able to do major surgery on it, since my work is on it, and the thought of losing the work accidentally, was not palatable.
This has (needless to say) been a huge issue since all my work is on it.  What I did was race out and buy a new hard drive, Windows 10 and a BlacX hard drive reader, which I since have tried to get going as a new install.  So far so good, but with mixed results.
Anyway, is there anything I can do to get the old hard drive going again, without losing files from it?  I tried the Automatic Repair, but that did nothing.  Then I tried replacing the boot files, and that didn't ... Read more

My dell inspiron laptop died recently (we were unable to get it to start) but it was alright because I had the entire computer backed up on my seagate FreeAgent Goflex 500 GB external hard drive. I never had a problem connecting it to my home computer before, a vista home premium. But now all of a sudden I can't find any of the files on it. I try to view them but all I get are empty folders. It says that I have 423 out of 465 GB free of space, but its contents are empty, which makes no sense.

I tried opening the security tab and claiming ownership but all I got was an error stating that "the system cannot find the file specified." It was like Vista couldn't find any of the files on that external hard drive. I tried opening it to view the files, but again everything was empty.

I tested the external on a different computer and it worked just fine. All the files are in place and perfectly fine. It's only when I plug it into my vista desktop that I'm getting this problem. I don't know what's going on.
