I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have several accounts in Windows Mail to use in different locations. When I am at home I set the appropriate account as Default. Windows Mail uses this reliably when creating mail. However, when replying to incoming mail the programme always tries to use another account (not default but one I use in Portugal) and of course it fails to Send because the settings are not correct. I have to manually change the account in the outgoing address box. Any solution?

whenever i open ms office outlook 2007 and try to download received emails, an error message will pop up saying path to naCmnLib71.dll is not found and outlook has to close
after some searching on the internet it seems this file is used by mcafee virusscan to scan incoming emails
after disabling the email scanner everything worked fine
so i can conclude that the email scanner is indeed the problem
i also updated mcafee virusscan to the lastest version but it does not seem to solve the problem
is there anyone with the same problem and has solved the problem?
can you provide me with the solution?

Well, if something is making the email scan not work, to be honest I personally would do a AV and AS scan, and maybe even a boot scan... Just to make sure there is nothing else causing the problem.

What Font is showing for Outlook Express?
Tools > Options > Read tab

These are my settings in Outlook Express:

Default Encoding:
Western European
If the above doesn't help, try creating a new Identity in Outlook Express to see if the font problem persists in the new Identity. If it doesn't, you can migrate to the new Identity and Import all your messages to the new Identity.

Create a new Identity:
File > Identities > Add New Identity
Name the Identity
Click Yes when asked if you want to switch to the new Identity.
Cancel out of Importing or Upgrading if the option is given.
Recreate your E-mail account.

Send yourself a Test message to verify your account settings are correct and to preview the font.

Greetings:
I have had a web-based email account (starspath) for two years and have had no problems until recently. For whatever reason I can send email, but can't receive any at all. I have not exceeded storage capacity and never open suspicious attatchments. However, I do suspect that may account may be contaminated from some unknown source. It's not a computer issue since I have the same problem whether I'm using my computer, a friends, or a public computing center. When I send messages to this account from an alternate account, they immediately return as "undeliverable", "couldn't find mail exchanger or IP address". I forwarded this problem to the starspath tech support, but inquiries are not exactly acknowledged in a timely manner if you know what I mean. I recently entered the job market (again) and depend on this account as a contact source from prospective employers. Anybody have a solution for me??
Thank You!!
Scott

A:No Incoming Mail

To be honest this sounds like something your mail provider will need to sort out. In the meantime you could set up an alternative email address and then set up a rule in the problematic address to forward on to the new address. Then when you want to receive you can receive from the new address.
To be honest I dont think this will work, but its the only thing I can think of and you sound quite desperate

I have Microsoft Outlook. This has been going on for a week or more, but doesn't happen all the time. When I click send/receive, the bar indicates email is coming through, but stops and nothing actually comes through. If there is one email, the bar goes all the way across, then stops, and nothing happens. If there are several emails, the bar stops somewhere in the middle and that's as far as it goes. Nothing comes through. I have to restart the computer, and then when I go into my email program, everything is fine. One strange thing... when I go to restart, before shutting down, a box appears on my desktop - ccSvcHst.exe - end program, with a prompted to "end now" or "cancel." When I hit "end now," I notice the Microsoft Outlook icon on the desktop blinks a bit before the computer shuts down. Once it restarts, my email program works well for a while. But this happens about twice a day. I don't know what is going on. I'd really appreciate someone's help.

I use Outlook 2016 as my e-mail program and it has always worked great. A few days ago I noticed that I was not getting some e-mail that had been sent to me. I know this because the e-mail was sent to a group. I had one of the group members forward the e-mail to me. I checked everything out in that message and it was totally correct. As a matter of fact 10 minutes earlier that same sender had sent another group e-mail and I got that one. The e-mail sender checked to see that the message was sent and not bounced back for some reason.

The problem has gotten worse, yesterday I almost got no e-mail and I know that I was sent a bunch of stuff. I even went to my neighbor and sent myself a test e-mail and it did not arrive. I am pretty sure it is not my system causing the problem because I have an Android tablet and it does not get the e-mails either. The thing that really has me puzzled is I am still getting some e-mail, mainly from advertisers.

I contacted my Internet Service Provider yesterday to see if they are having some problem. They are checking into it but there is nothing they are aware about.

If anyone has an idea of what is going here it would be greatly appreciated.

If it's Outlook.com, look at the threads about Windows Live Mail patch problems. Your Outlook 2016 may be affected by the same upgrade issue (DeltaSync vs. EAS).

Hi Guys

I have an associate whose e-mail messages always come through very tiny (about 8 pt.). Her's is the ONLY incoming message I have a problem with.
She uses Calibri 14 font which I believe is the default font for Outlook. I am evidently the only one who gets her massages smaller than her chosen font. So I have to assume it is something to do with my Outlook set-up – not hers.
I changed my default new messages font to Calibri 12 – but it doesn’t make a difference.
Any ideas?

A:Help with VPN access no incoming mail

Hi Lebroy, Welcome to SevenForums!

It sounds like the VPN is using a default gateway which causes your local machine to use the remote machine's internet access for it's own internet access. In order to stop this, use the solution on the bottom given that you have your company's WINS Servers IP Address(es).

You can configure the built-in VPN connection to disable that, ie. give you access to the VPN tunnel and the local LAN/internet by UNCHECKING the Use default gateway on remote network checkbox.

This is the possible solution:

Customers computer - Outlook express - Multiple identities.

Why does the incoming mail server change to 127.0.0.1 every time the computer is turned off.
Happens to only one of the identities.
Note this one identity uses a different incoming mail server then the ISP... but still uses the outgoing mail server as the ISP.

The correct setting should be pop.xxx.xxxxx.com and gets reset to 127.0.0.1 after a restart. You can exit Outlook and renter and exit any number of times and the account properties do not change... only on a restart.
FYI, The user account name also gets changed.

Any thoughts.

Hi sijumon,

Check with your friend if he is set up to receive emails in HTML format. If he isn't that would explain the problem. You'd need to send him emails in Plain Text format.

You can select the format via:-

I noticed in the last few days that all my mail appears to have not been read. Normally once you open an e-mail it is no longer in bold print. Now every message I have in my in box, even those that I have read in the past, are in bold print. What's worse is they also seem to be disappearing. I noticed that when I read and e-mail, it is no longer bold, but then when I close the Windows mail program and reopen it, the message I just read is no longer there. It isn't in my junk file or deleted folder, but has disappeared completely. After every new message has been read and I close the program and reopen it, those message are gone. I did delete a lot of messages from my incoming mail box and also emptied my deleted folder, but there was no change. Any ideas?

A:Incoming Mail keeps disappearing

I actually figure it out. Seems there is a tab just below where you close the program out and it says, "Hide all read messages". So I accidentally must have hit that once when I was trying to close the program and that kept hiding all the messages as soon as I read them.

if they are sent as attachments then simply don't download them, if they are sent in the body of the email then you can simply just delete the email before they download, remember, you don't have to read his email if he's simply sending you pictures, just delete them

All of a sudden, I cannot receive incoming e-mail even though I have pinged the POP3 server and know that I am connecting. I can go off network and access it via dial-up, so I know that something in my router configuration is causing the problem. I have not installed any new software, changed the router configuration, or done anything else, so have no idea why this problem has started. A:router blocking incoming e-mail?

If you suspect your router causing the issue, try adjusting your enabling your MTU settings to 1492 or make sure MTU is set to 1492.

*Connect to the Router by opening a web browser and entering http://192/168.1.1 or the IP address of the Router.
*Enter the password if asked (default is "admin").
*Click Advanced and select the Filters tab.
*Look for the MTU option and select Enable. In the Size: field, enter the appropriate MTU (e.g. 1492).
*Click the Apply and Continue buttons to complete the task.

*Notes:
If difficulties persist, change the Size: to different values. Try the following list of values, one value at a time, in this order, until the problem is solved: 1462, 1400. See MTU Ping Test for information on determining the optimal MTU.

If this steps doesn't match what you have. Look it up on the linksys website on how to enable and change your MTU settings

A:Help! Problems with OE6--not showing incoming mail

Hi lisa58
Welcome to Tech Support Guy Forum!

Check your Rules to see if any messages are set to be:
Deleted, or,
Deleted from server, or,
Moved to another folder, or,
something similar...

I believe Microsoft Outlook has autocomplete, sorry don't have my Outlook installed at this time, this site has good information on Outlook:
http://www.slipstick.com
http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/
http://www.slipstick.com/emo/2000/up001108.htm#autocomplete

Do you have your account set up in BOTH Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express? Is this occurring in both messaging programs?

You might set up both Outlook and Outlook Express to "Leave Messages on the server" that way you will at least have access to your messages on the server, until this is sorted out.

A particular e-mail sent to me is visible on my webmail at my ISP's site, and is also visible on my own machine in MailWasher. But Windows Mail just does not see the message at all. If I was relying on Windows Mail alone, I would not be aware that this message had ever been sent.

There's nothing unusual about my e-mail account, the incoming server is pop3. I receive other messages without problems, there's just one doing this, and I don't see anything unusual about it when I look at it in MailWasher or webmail.

Anything I might tinker with, to make Windows Mail see this message and any others in the future which might behave similarly?

Thanks.

do you have any rules that move mails to different folders? If you have a rule to move a mail based on which account it was sent to, and another rule to move mails based on content, and if a mail comes in that fits both, you will get a duplicate.

Maybe?

Hi All,

I want a solution for our emails. We want control of all our incoming mails. We are currently working with on google with our domain. We are using the google app solution for all our mail Ids.

As per the requirements, All Incoming emails have to be downloaded only set intervals, not every time. The idea is to control all e-mails over Smart phones, Blackberry, Outlook, or any POP, Google App and Imap compatible gadgets. Outgoing mails are no problem so we have to keep this as it is.

Could anyone have any Idea..

Thanks!

Hello,
I just downloaded Windows Live Mail, and Mesh. I emailed one of my online accounts at Yahoo to do a test. All worked fine so I replied back to Windows Live (Gmail default) I got the reply twice. This only happens on a reply. When I send an email to Gmail from Yahoo, it only shows up once in Windows Live, like it should. Could mesh be causing this or is it a Gmail problem? Thanks,
John

Go to the website of your email provider and see if the problem is at their end. If it cannot be determined wait 24 hours to see if the problem is resolved.

If the problem still persisits after 24-48 hours post and we will try to help. The usual cause of a problem of this nature is caused by the email provider.

Hello again. I'm brand new to Windows Live mail and currently using WLM 2011. I have quite a few subscriptions to Newsletters that send automatic e-mails that include pictures, but the pictures don't come through, only the text.

For example, today, Cooking.com sent a newsletter, which usually includes pictures, which I want to see. I open it to find only text, no pictures. I go to forward it to someone, and lo and behold, the pictures show up on my "sent" e-mail.

Outlook Express used to ask via a bar at the top of my e-mail if I wanted to allow the pictures to be shown with the e-mail I just opened. I could choose yes or no. Seems I don't have that choice in WLM, or that I can find.

I did go to Options (on the WLM pane) then Security Options and under the Security tab, I have unchecked the boxes in "download images". I do see where I can check "show images and external content sent from email addresses in my safe senders list". Is this the only way I can allow or make the pictures appear in my incoming e-mail, by manually adding an e-mail address to this list?

Any insight would be very helpful. I am not a computer wiz so if you can keep it simple I would be thankful.

OS Windows 7
WLM 2011

Hey,

Got this irritating problem. I get sometimes email written in forign language (mainly Hebrew). In the old versions of outlook you could choose how to encode the message and to read it properly. However, in outlook 2007 I search and cannot find any option to do that.

Any ideas? where to look? what to do?

Thanks,

A:Outlook 2007 - encoding for incoming mail

Have you installed the language you want translated in the Control Panel option? I'm not sure but I believe Hebrew is one you have to ask to install.

Then when you bring up a message you want to read you can right click in the body of the message for various translation options.

Does that help?
