I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Dear Community, a friend of mine has a problem. He upgraded the Laptop to Windows 10 for about 6 months ago. His Webcam is not found. There is no Imaging Device in the Device Manager and there is also no "Unknown Device" in it. The Driver for integrated Camera from lenovo site did not help. I used the Forum search but the entries did not help either. Anyone knows a solution? Greetings from Germany

Hello, I have a new T530 with Windows 8 OS. I am having trouble using the integrated camera. It functions neither in the Windows camera app nor in Skype. In both cases I get a picture with a gray background and a camera with a line through it. In Device manager, the camera does appear, is enabled, and the drivers are up to date. After looking through other threads, I tried checking whether the camera was plugged in and indeed it was. When using Skype and I set the camera to on (Skype did detect the camera), I still got the gray no camera image, but the green light on the camera itself turned on.I also tried using Fn+F6 to check settings. Lenovo settings opens, but the when I click the camera settings Icon, the screen loads a blank page that says "Camera" in the top right and has a back button (left pointing arrow) in the top left hand corner. The back button does not seem to work and I must change the window to something else in order to exit/close settings.I tried manually installing both camera drivers and "power management" ("energy management"?) drivers. Neither of this solved either of these issues. Please help me to resolve this problem. Thank you.

Hi, euterpenc

I would make sure that the BIOS is up to date in the system. The current BIOS for your system is 2.07 and can be found here. Also, I would ensure that the chipset drivers are up to date, and those can be found here.

Hope it helps, and let me know how it goes
Adam

Hi! My mother bought this laptop a couple of years ago, and after a year and a half or so it started having problems with some software (you know how mothers are!), so she gave it to a neighbour of hers so that he would format it and reinstall Windows. Originally, the laptop came with Windows 8, and for reasons I don't know, this neighbor deleted all the HDD partitions and install Windows 7 instead; that means you have no way of performing a factory reset. From that moment on, the camera stopped working; it doesn't even appear in the device manager. All other features - audio, video, WiFi, etc. - work properly; it's just the camera which has the problem. So my mother talked to me about this, and I've been trying to solve this issue without success. I tried installing Windows 10; nothing. I tried installing Windows 8.1; nothing. I tried installing the camera drivers, but it says there's nothing to install the driver to. I've read that some people recommend an activation of the camera via BIOS, but I'm unable to find such an option in the BIOS of this computer. Others recommend a Fn + Esc sequence that, to be honest, doesn't even do anything. The thing is that I'm getting crazy with this stuff, and that's why I'm asking you people whether you can help me with this. I'll appreciate any comments regarding this. Thank you in advance!!

Hello All,

My Lenovo Laptop, Lenovo G580 Model 2189, was upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Up until then I had been using Lenovo Solutions Center (LSC) and the Backup utility within it.

Now post the upgrade the Backup option has disappeared from the LSC. I am running LSC Version 2.8.

I upgraded to LSC 3.x after reading somewhere that I should do this if I have upgradred to Windows 10. Then the only option I got was the periodic hardware scan for problems. So I downgraded again to LSC 2.8.

Will LSC Backup work under Windows 10 ?
Is there a Windows 10 version of LSC I can download that does have the backup option ?

Thanks All
John.

I am a bit befuddled with the T420 for a few reasons, but primarily while trying to dual screen I keep hitting one problem or another. I tried using the adapter with my monitor, and TV, but with no success. Next I went well, Ill get a docking station, it has a VGA and DVI connector, so I did, but the VGA port outputs red only, no blue, no green, whilst the DVI works fine and best thing is I cant return it. So I grabbed the Display to HDMI, and tried the docking station Display, with the same results. Even when its the only attached monitor it doesnt see it. I tried Win10 Display Settings, Enabling and disabling the "Digital Display" in the Intel Graphics options, and tried the Fn+ F5 or whatever thats suppose to out put to the external monitors, all with no luck. I see people here saying to change BIOs Video options, but since I dont have nVidia, all I got is Defualt Boot Screen selection, i.e. Built in Display, Analogue, Digital Disp. 1, Digital Disp 2 <--When I select either of those it still outputs on DVI. I just found this forums, hello to all!
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

I also have DSL. I am wired directly to the modem to my motherboard.

When I press CTRL+DEL to view the task manager, and go to networking, my network graph is constantly between 1.9 and 2.5 usage.

My internet speed tests are also atrocious, 500kbps-ish

We have 3 PCs in the house, none are downloading anything or are in use. My PC, when connected, bogs the entire internet connection down so its barely usable. When it is disconnected, the internet connection is fine for all other PCs.

Our wireless is password protected as well.

I have reset the modem, tried several different cables.

I had the house completely rewired by Frontier, our DSL company. Got a new modem.

I have run Norton, eset, and AVG. Nothing serious to fix.

I have updated all my drivers for my motherboard.

There are 2 Ethernet ports on my motherboard, either one does the same thing.

I have disabled one or the other as well.

This happens frequently, sometimes for days my internet will be fine, but loose connection, and I have to unplug my Ethernet cord and plug it back in. Sometimes it will be fine after I do this.

Sometimes it spikes like this for days. It is completely random.
I have no clue what to do. Can you help me?

Thanks.

Hi all, sorry in advanced but I will try and give as much details as possible.

I brought an ebay special enderscope usb camera which worked great for 4 days.

on the 5th day it stopped.

What generally happens is I plug it in, the led's light up, windows says unknown device and that is it.

If i take it out and try a different port then it does not even show up.

When it did work it came up as generic usb 2.0 camera

I can not find this driver file anywhere on the interenet so I can just point to it on device manager.

I am getting - Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

I installed all updates, no go, did a roll back to a week before, no go, re-installed all updates - still no go

After looking around I've some info that may or may not help.

Hardware ID - USB/UNKOWN
Base cont. ID - {02713ff7-fae4-11e2-a80d-e89a8fc67103}
Cont. ID - {02713ff7-fae4-11e2-a80d-e89a8fc67103}

Driver version - 6.1.7601.17586

I did try it in a windows 8 machine but nothing happened.

Basic 1st question really is, is the camera dead?

IF not, what can I do?

Thanks anyone in advanced, I'll not be around again until this time tomorrow so please bare with for replies.

Thanks again

Alright, so here's the deal. I have a Vivicam 20 Dual-Mode still camera with webcam capabilities. I recently got a new computer (HP Media Center PC m7470n; Windows XP Media Center Edition) to replace my old computer (Dell Dimension 8100 running WinXP home). For some reason, my new web camera does not work on instant messaging programs (MSN 7.5 and AIM 5.5) even though it worked on my old computer for both programs. Here's all I've found:
Both "Dual-Mode DSC (Still Camera)" and "Dual-Mode DSC (Video Camera)" show up under Imaging Devices in Device Manager. Neither have a yellow "!" next to them. It had been mentioned that having another imaging device connected (a scanner for instance) can cause a conflict, but the scanner connects via a parallel port and appears under "Other Devices" with no conflicts, I have no other such devices connected or installed (except for another, much more useless camera which I used for testing and got the same results and no conflicts.)

Un-installing/re-installing drivers/cleaning the registry of all "vivicam" entries does not fix the problem.

Using the latest drivers does not fix the problem.

I have tried all three (two?) USB hubs on my computer, including one with no other devices connected to it (or at least ones which have none connected either laterally or vertically).

In AIM, video shows up as grey in the My Camera tab, unless I've installed it and didn't resta... Read more

Hello, I've been having a problem with Windows 10 no longer detecting the integrated camera in an E545. This problem began several months ago, after one of the major windows 10 updates. I didn't notice it at first since I rarely used the camera, but it's always bothered me that it no longer functions or is detected. At first I tried installing the Windows 7, and later, the Windows 8 driver but all I got was the following message box: Realtek Bluetooth suite can't run on WindowsThis app may decrease PC security or performance. Check for an updated app that runs on this version of Windows. I was hoping that the new anniversary update would fix this problem (since that last one caused it) but it hasn't. The laptop has never been dropped so I doubt the problem is due to a loose wire or something along those lines. I've also tried a total Windows refresh and that didn't help either. Any help would be much appreciated - thanks!

Try looking in your camera app's settings and checking the white balance. That is a common cause for blue tint. If that doesn't work, the only other thing I can think of is to try cleaning the camera. Hope this helps!

Hello. My integrated camera on my lenovo laptop stopped working last night .. It doesnt do anything when I try to connect to it on skype etc., it just has a grey screen. I tried reinstalling the drivers but that didnt work and now I dont know what to do.

A:HELP! my integrated camera wont work :(

Its very possible that the camera itself has had it if the drivers didnt help.i dont think those are worth fixing so getting an external webcam will be a lot cheaper to use.

My webcam recently started playing up and I've tried many supposedly 'solutions' and none have worked so far. I seen a post on here however and he had a similar problem and you guys managed to successfully help him but with a different Laptop and therefore different drives.

I pretty much only use my webcam for Skyping, and well, I need it.. and I don't want to fork out money for a USB webcam, since I HAVE ONE ON MY LAPTOP. So, here is the problem. It starts off when I realise it's stopped working and Skype tries to swap between the two options it has labelled under "webcam devices", these options are "HP Truevision" and "Cybercam webcam splitter". After I go into options to try change the webcam, which by the way it is still differentiating between the two, once every 2 seconds; windows also supplies me with audio telling me that this is happening and it happens to be the same noise which happens upon disconnecting and reconnecting my USB mouse. I have tried 'System Restore' multiple times, uninstalling both drivers and re-installing them, attempting to update the drivers (apparently they are), updated Skype and continuously searched the web to find a solution, alas... I have not . Also, in device manager, under the imaging devices tab, only a new driver shows up called 'SPCA2082', this shows up as the camera being on (notified by a little light beside the camera), but only shows a black screen. This hasn't worked since the Windows 10 update. I have tried updating drivers, rebooting, turning settings on or off in the lenovo settings "app" and it just doesn't show up. This is extremely frustrating seeing as I have searched the internet for a solution and so far nothing seems to be working.

Is there anyway I can use the integrated camera to make recordings? I don't see any software to use.
I want to be able to use the camera to make small youtube videos.
Any help appreciated

A:Inspiron One 2330 Integrated Camera

You should be able to.  If you have Windows 8.x or 10, go to the Microsoft Store and look for video recording software.  I think youtube also has a built in recording thing using flash or HTML5.
