Satellite NB10t-A-101 - Intel graphics card problem using Win 10

Q: Satellite NB10t-A-101 - Intel graphics card problem using Win 10

After I upgraded to Windows 10, The Graphics card worked fine, atleast 4 months later, I saw that the Intel Graphics tray icon was missing when I entered Device Manager it had a little exclamation point by it and said

Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to properly configure and use this device.
To use this device, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35)

Then, I looked a little deeper into the problem and found this:

Problem code: 00000023
Problem Status: The resources required for this device conflict with the MCFG table.

I haven't edited the PC in ANY way, Any solution to this problem
PC Specifications (in case needed)

Model - NB10t-A-101
Processor - Intel Celeron N2810 @ 2GHz
Graphics card: Intel HD Graphics.

(Another note: I need the latest Generic Graphics driver for Windows 10,)

Preferred Solution: Satellite NB10t-A-101 - Intel graphics card problem using Win 10

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

If Win10 supports that Intel HD graphics chip, a driver will be available in Windows Update.

Check if your Intel HD is compatible:

Whatever driver you are trying to install is not compatible with your hardware configuration. So, I went to the HP site and I don't see any Win8 compatible drivers listed:

I am having a problem with my Intel 82852/82855 graphics card drivers. this started when I tried to update the driver. I downloaded the driver, and tried to update it by unzipping the file, and going to device manager, selecting the device, selecting update driver, and specifying the location. it worked pretty well, but right at the end of the proccess, where the bar was almos full, it stopped. the wizard told me that there had been an error while installing my hardware; "the specified file could not be found." however, I didn't see a file specified anywhere! also, after this, my video card, (or cards, I'm not sure; device manager shows two had the little yellow circle with and exclamation mark near it. I tried this several times, completely unninstalling the drivers from the add/remove program lists. I've even tried it with an older driver, but I get the same message. Please help me: I'm pretty desperate!

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 running on Vista.
I seem to have broken my display when I was trying out the Intel GMA Driver's feature 'Flip 180' which supposedly flips the monitor's display. Instead it exhibited what would happen if you change your resolution to 640x480, with really large icons. I tried to restart the computer but when I checked in my display settings it says something like:

"The currently selected driver cannot be used. It was written for a previous version of Windows and is no longer compatible with this version.

The system has started using the default VGA driver."

And in my screen saver settings:
"The screen saver can't run because it requires a newer video card or one that's compatible with Direct3D."

Aside from that, the computer works perfectly fine, but I don't want this to be a problem in the future. What happened here? Is there any way I could fix this?

Hello to all,

Is there any battery replacement (compatible maybe?) with higher capacity (>2100mAh) for the satellite nb10t-a-103 laptop? the original battery works only for 2 hours.

A:Battery replacement for Satellite NB10T-A-103

Unfortunately I found only one compatible battery for your notebook model and it is battery with part number PA5170U-1BRS.

To be honest 2 hours on battery power supply is not so bad. If you want to use it a bit longer change power profile and advanced power settings.

I bought a new Toshiba Satellite NB10T-A-101 and would like to boost performance by changing the HDD by a SSD and install windows 8.1 Pro.

I'm however unable to boot from USB, it always mention:
+Reboot and select proper Boot Device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.+

I already disabled secure boot, used 5+ different usb sticks (work all fine on other laptops).

Can you please tell me what the approach is to change the HDD and then boot from a bootable (UEFI) usb stick.

Thank you.

I've got a Satellite Pro nb10t, good machine but key map seems really bad for me, [Home] and [End] keys are really far away from arrows, [Tab] key really narrow, really slowing office working.

How can I remap keys, for example to set [Home] to [Fn]+[Up], and {End] to [Fn]+[Down] ?

Found Microsoft RemapKey, but does not process FN key.

A:How to remap FN keys on Satellite Pro nb10t

Depending on the settings ?special function key mode? you could use the function key (F key) with or without pressing the additional FN button.

Details here

The FN key seems to be an special Toshiba feature and I don?t think that you could remap the FN button.

However, you could try to install the Remapkey.exe which is part of the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit. This remapkey should allow you to change the button functionality.

Also the 3rd party tool like autohotkey would be good enough to do this job.

I have a touchscreen Toshiba Satellite NB10T-A-101 , the touch screen works fine however i mostly use the mousepad as i find using the cursor much easier,

However recently my cursor kept freezing for a second or two and then moving again, but today the mouse pad doesn't seem to be working at all the left and right click buttons work but not the touch pad.

I've made sure that the touch pad is enabled in the mouse settings so i really don't know what to do now.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

A:Satellite NB10T-A-101 - Mousepad is not working

Hmm?did you check also the key combination FN+F5?
This would enable and disable the touchpad as well.

But from my point of view it might be possible that the touchpad module malfunctions.
I?m thinking about the hardware malfunction because the touchpad buttons work and just the touch area of the touch module doesn?t work properly.

Usually if the touchpad would be disabled by any software, both; buttons as well as the touch area should not work.

Bought the laptop yesterday. Initially the touchscreen worked.

After an hour or so and a reboot, it didn't respond to any touches.
It has worked after that, but now it's broken again.

The touchscreen either works or doesn't work when booting, and will keep doing that as long as the pc is on.

I did not upgrade to Windows 8.1 yet, and my BIOS is running the latest version.

A:Satellite NB10t-A touchscreen fails

I think you should firstly find out if some kind of software problem cause the touchscreen malfunction.
I guess it?s not software related issue but I think you should make doubly sure.

First of all reset the system back to factory settings. Yu should use the option ?Reset your PC?
[Windows 8 Recovery & Repair|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2A03ES0000R01.htm ]

Then check the touchscreen support and test the functionality.
After that you should upgrade the system Win 8 to 8.1 following the Toshiba step by step instruction. After that test the touchscreen once again.

In case you will still notice some touchscreen problems, I would recommend you to contact the service agents since this issue could be related to touchscreen malfunction,

on NB10t-A-102 I want to change the memory and increase in 8GB or 16GB
Can we make this change?

A:Memory upgrade on Satellite NB10t-A-102

According notebook specification RAM can be upgraded up to 4GB and obviously with 4GB RAM inside it is already on the maximum.

Unfortunately on this forum we don't have much info about this new machine but in the past we have discussed about older models with maximum 1GB RAM but at the end it was possible to upgrade it.

If nobody can help you with this I recommend you to try upgrade with 8GB RAM and check how it works. RAM part number that you should test is PA5104U-1M8G.

If possible send some feedback.

My SATELLITE NB10T-A-102 has stopped working a whole 9 days after its (1 year) warranty ran out. Its been a great machine (until now), its seen very little ware, its not been carried about much (mostly just stays at home). I tried to power it up on Sunday morning and nothings happening, no lights on the front then it seemed to want to do something (like it was squeezing the last of the juice out of the battery) but then nothing. I have checked the PSU with a multimeter and its delivering 19v which is correct but there is no (amber i think) charging light on the front of the machine. Iv tried taking the battery out and discharging any static but nothing seems to be working.

Any ideas? Pretty disappointing if its totally given up after a year of light use.

I bought a NB10T-A-102 but the sound is horrible almost not listening because it sounds like metalic noise.
I tried to change driver but without benefit.
Do you know if it's because of the hardware speakers or if there is a configuration that permits to obtain a good sound quality?

Thanks for your support.

A:Satellite NB10T-A-102 - horrible sound quality

This netbook has build in small stereo speakers and sound is not so good. It has nothing to do with sound driver. As you know you can try to change sound quality changing values in player?s equaliser but this will also not help a much.

I have similar speakers on my U940 and sound is not good. Using headphones sound is really good.
For instance my older NB netbook has harman/kardon speakers and sound quality is simply amazing.

hello everybody, my name is Brian, I own a dell xps 13 (9350) purchased in 2017, but its the 2016 model with intel iris 540 graphics, its also the model with the QHD+ touch-screen, 3200x1800 resolution.
not sure if it matters what else the system has spec-wise, but ill include that also.

My question is in regards to the colors, and what this screen is producing picture/video quality-wise when I'm viewing colorful photos, or watching videos with colors on youtube;

I've watched quite a handful of videos on youtube about the dell xps 13, and a lot of them suggest that this laptop comes "a touch off" in terms of color gamma and/or color accuracy - whatever that means, but they say the xps 13 out of the box, with no settings adjusted other than what dell and intel have done, that the color and screen needs to be calibrated.

how do I know what to do and how to check if I need it? I mean, everything seems to be good looking, but if its off and I just don't know it, I would like to know how to modify these "said" settings, as I want the most out of my xps 13!

I'm also experimenting with different power-plan settings, trying to configure this machine for the best possible battery-life, and also longevity in overall-life span. meaning I want to preserve this machine in ways possible, without reducing any of the added benefits of having such a high-performing laptop.

I bought this xps 13 from a friend, we actually traded. I gave him my ipad... Read more

I know it isn?t the best section to post, but there is no sub forum for my computer serie (Satellite NB10T) and this problem is linked with Win 8

I'm aware of
The problem is that I don't have Boot mode option under advanced- system configuration; the only thing I can do is enabling or disabling secure boot mode in the security tab, which is not enough

I also added a supervisor password; it does add a clear secure boot keys option, but still nothing under advanced tab to switch to Csm.
Clearing keys does not work too.

I tried to boot multiples linux distro and win7 on bootable usb (theses work on others computers), but no luck. Boot order set to usb first of course).
What can I do?

I have just purchased an NB10t in the UK, and am trying to boot to a bootable USB

I have noticed the BIOS on this particular model is UEFI mode only, That in itself is not an issue as users can sign their own OS's with a CA and use them, however this laptop refuses to boot from any external medium...or even provide an error message.

I have changed the boot priorities in the BIOS and moved the USB to the top
I have disabled Secure Boot option in the BIOS
I have tried all 3 USB ports as well as 3 different drives (NOTE: THESE WORK FINE ON 3 OTHER SYSTEMS a dell laptop/desktop and an acer laptop)
I have also tried various distributions (Debian & Arch)
I have used multiple installation methods (Unetbootin/Full hard install/Rufus etc..)
I have tried all versions of your currently released BIOSs (Shipping with V1.0, Jan-V1.1 Feb-V1.2)

After trying all of these when pressing F12 at boot, the boot menu shows up but upon selecting a device the system continues to boot into the HDD (Win8)

After googling around I noticed you have released 2 BIOS updates I have tried all versions of these and still the system refuses to boot into my selected device

Can we expect any more firmware updates in the near future? Is there a way to workaround this issue to boot my chosen OS? Is there a CSM option?

Edit: Punctuation

A:Satellite NB10t-A-101 refuses to boot from any external medium

Your notebook was equipped with the new Intel Celeron processor N2810 which belongs to the Bay Trail-M architecture.
This new *Intel Bay Trail* technology support only the UEFI capable devices and systems (Win 8, Win 8.1) and therefore the UEFI / CSM boot mode option isn?t available in the BIOS settings.

_So you can install only an the UEFI capable system_

I recently purchased an Acer Veriton (M498G) desktop which has an i5-650 processor, Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) and Intel HD Graphics listed as the video card. I have already replaced the original 300 wattt power supply to a 430 watt Antec Truepower I had on hand and boosted the RAM to 8 gigs from the original 4.

Question 1) Am I getting any improvement in visual quality or system speed with the Quadro or is it a waste of money and I should just save up to buy a bigger video card? This card was on sale for $115.

Unfortunately, at this moment the R series doesn't offer a switchable graphics option between the integrated graphics chipset (Intel HD Graphics 3000) and the dedicated ATI 6450M.

Myself I have a R850-10V model with an i5-2410M and there is no option in BIOS for such a selection, which would help a lot to increase the battery life by using only the integrated graphics for example.
Could we see in the future a bios upgrade which would enable this integrated graphics?

It's a shame because all the other important producers (HP, Lenovo, Acer) which use ATI 6450/6470/6490M solution for integrated graphics, updated their bios in order to allow a switchable graphics option.

Hi Guys,

I'm currently trying to work out a problem regarding my WiFi card on my L670-14M.

The old Wifi card died on us, so I decided to buy a Intel 7620 card to replace it. This installed fine, and is recognized by the device manager, and I can now find the wifi card in the adapter settings menu.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to go any further. The wireless logo in the corner appears, but with a red "X" through it.

I've tried:
Disabling and enabling the cardUsing the FN+F8 key combinationUpdating the BIOSRunning the troubleshooter (It tells me to switch on the WiFi capabilities via a switch on the computer or the FN keys. I have no switch and the FN key combination doesn't work.I've also attempted to clear the TCP/IP stack to no avail.

All I can guess now is that the card is either incompatible with this laptop, or maybe there's something in the registry that could be changed/removed to help? I've tried several different cards too (as this is a work laptop and we've bought the cards in bulk) and it's not due to a faulty card.

Hopefully someone can help with this query as I don't know very much about graphics cards. I've connected an external 19inch monitor to my Sony laptop which the graphics driver (Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset v7.14.10.1295) can support with a maximum resolution of 1440 x 900. However I now want to upgrade to a larger 23 inch screen with a 1920 x1080 resolution. Basically I'm not sure if the drivers capability is determined by the specification of external equipment connected to it, so need to know if I have to upgrade the graphics card as well. Any assistance would be appreciated.

A:Intel Graphics Card

I'm not absolutely certain but if your onboard graphics adapter specifies the maximum supported resolution to 1440 x 900 then I don't think you can exceed that. You could always connect the 23" screen and run it at 1440 x 900 although it would look bad.

However, I suggest you wait for other opinions from the experts here before taking my word for it.

Do I need to un-install the drivers of the Atheros adapter first?

I think and hope it should be possible to make such a minor change in configuration of this notebook?

I guess there isn't an easy way although Toshiba has also notebooks were they use the Intel centrino advanced-N 6235 adapter. I was kind of hoping on an easy software install of drivers and the Toshiba connection software.

Hope anyone can help me with this.
Thanks in advance.

Not quite sure if you will be able to use this Intel Centrino WLan card.
There is a similar threads about the Intel Centrino Advanced n 6230 and the other user could not enable this card

Therefore I recommend talking to your dealer if it?s possible to return this kind of WLan card if there would be an compatibility problem.

Hey, Yesterday I bought my Lenovo Z51-70 with Core-i5 5200U and Windows 10 (64bit) with two graphics cards - Intel HD graphics 5500 and AMD R9 M375. The issue is that cards don't switch automatically nor any other way. I just can't switch between them. (checked if they switch i AMD System Monitor) I have been searching my native and english internet in search of solution to the problem for last few hours, found many many people with the same prblem, but no solution. I have already installed all the newest drivers, patches etc. Changed many things in my Catalyst Control Centre, added apps and games to it. I have tried every possible way and now I'm losing hope. Anybody solved this problem?Thank you in advance for replies, Hope you can help me, please!

Is it possible to upgrade an Intel graphics card in my Toshiba Satellite a100 PSAA8C-0FH00E laptop? It's because I can't run Halo 2 or NFS: Carbon, so I want a 512 MB instead of my current 128 MB. My friend said it's impossible since The Intel video card is integrated into the motherboard or something. Sorry, I'm a total noob with hardware. Thanks!

The graphic drivers for Acer E5-571 is very outdated. Its from last year. There needs to be an update to match Intel's.

A:I need update for Intel graphics card

Let Windows 10 install the driver, however, if you don't have any problem with the current driver, no need to worry about the newer driver.

First time posting, so bare with me...

Okay, here's the deal: I recently installed W7 on my laptop. Absolutely, and I mean ABSOLUTELY no problems. SO, I decide to install it on my PC. Bad idea, I guess.

My computer keeps crashing. Once I run Winamp or get to multi-tasking, it crashes and reboots.

Recently, it's given me a "Solve PC Issues" message about my graphics card. So, I look into it. I can't find a Windows 7 driver for my graphics card and this is driving me nuts! Please, help!~

Hi Guys

Just rebuilt a laptop after a HDD failure. Installed XP Pro and SP2 with updates and manufacturers drivers.

As soon as i install MSN Messenger the Resolution changes to the lowest settings. once changed back to original setting and I shut down and restart it returns back to the lowest resolution. however if i exit MSN Messenger or unistall it, it returns back to it original high resolution settings instantly. I have also updated the driver and still am stumped.

Any ideas..graphics card is an intel 82852/82855 series.

Is there a bug in MSN messenger 7.5? I'm sure it never happened in my old hdd.

A:MSN Messenger and Intel graphics card: Anyone come across this?

Have you installed the latest video drivers from your laptop manufacturer?

Try version 7.0, see if it makes a difference... If 7.0 works, either keep it or upgrade to 7.5.
