I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

So I deleted some folders in %appdata% and my computer desktop started to go black wherever I clicked. I went to reinstall windows and it wouldn't let me. So I tried re-installing windows using the recovery disk they gave me. About halfway through the process I get this error message. ATTEMPTED EXECUTE OF NOEXECUTE MEMORY. Please help guys I'm literally shaking so bad and don't know what to do this computer cost me so much money. *Is this fixable? Someone said its a ram problem after running memtest.
Specs: Intel i7 4790k (4x) OC'd 4.5 ghz CPUnVidia GeForce GTX 970 EVGA SC GPU

Does look like a RAM problem to me too. Is the RAM 2x8GB? If so, I would try the other channel and run memtest. I would also follow these instructions if possible: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

I built a desktop and it was BSODing non stop with the error message, "attempted execute of noexecute memory".

I then stripped out the components till finally only these are in the system and re- installed windows.

Asus Z170 Pro
Core i5 6600k
Gskill Ripjaws 16 GB, DDR4, 2400, CL15
Samsung 850 evo.
The memory earlier was Corsair and I swapped it for the GSkill kit, and while the BSODs have reduced, I still get them, with the same Message.

I'm attaching the dump file.

Help will be greatly appreciated,

Thank you.

Hi natbatter,

Have you tried some tests for the hardware?

Hi shera & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

I am extremely sorry for the delayed response . There are very few BSOD analysts. Do you still need help with your problem? If yes, then kindly reply back to this topic and I would reply within 48 hours. Also, I would be notified via email once you post.

I've been having this problem for a week now, i tried running memtest86 to diagnose Ram but the display does not show the test once it starts it show half the stats, the other half is hidden in mi right side screen. Only once it showed correctly and determined Errors with Tests 13 - hammering with both sticks. Now i am not able do determine which stick is faulty, because i cant run the test or see results properly.

This are my specs:

The error persists while listening to music (buzzing sound until it restarts), downloading things from steam or more likely while left idle. Never while gaming or doing heavy tasks, only light individual things as mentioned. I've had instances once BSOD reaches 100% in order to restart, it wont do it at all, staying like that for ever until i do it manually.

Now that i think of it, my PC would freeze and BSOD on me with buzzing sounds quite repeatedly when i had it build. But it stopped eventually, but now the problem has returned quite worse, i think it might always had been a faulty PSU (Corsair RM 850) or Ram (Patriot Viper 3 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory).
I hope that this dump file shows some answers , please help thanks in advance.

Ok, i noticed the posting instructions, i downloaded the tool to create the zip file i need to upload, but it does not create any zip file in my desktop, even running it as administrator, all goes correct but it doesn't create any zip file. What am i doing wrong?

I recently upgraded my CPU from a sempron to an athlon II x3, and overclocked it as I did with my sempron. I try to be as cautious as possible with these things, so when I was finished I had found my system to be stable, using memtest and prime95.

Over the last month and a half since, however, I started to have this BSOD, with only this error. I have tried to figure it out from others problems and from the vast internet, but I have no clue on how to fix it.

This doesn't seem too bad. Especially if you say you're overclocking a newer CPU.

Max Speed 3200MHz
Current Speed 3200MHz
I'm not convinced that you are indeed overlocking your CPU though (according to the above). I'm new to bsod log analysis though so perhaps someone with more insight can provide an answer.

What you can try though is update the below third party drivers, prioritizing those with an older date. For example, lmimirr.sys and teamviewervpn.sys both have a driver from 2007. I'd prioritize updating these 2 drivers first and then working your way down the list.

Hello everyone.
I've installed Windows 10 in my computer yesterday just to find out that suspending is not working, as I wake my computer I receive this error on BSOD
attempted execute of no execute memory

Tried updating VGA/LAN/Motherboard drivers but the problem persists.

This behaviour happens when selecting "High Performance" power plan.
If I select balanced, the BSOD says "Bad Pool Header" and restarts anyway.

Here I attach the zip created with the collector tool.
I've tried to diagnose on my own but can't have kd, symbols and such working properly.
Hope you can help me, I want to thank you in advance.

Please follow this tutorial to run driver verifier.

Some windows drivers are blamed in a few crashes, but that usually means that a 3rd party driver is actually the cause.
Driver verifier stresses your drivers and will crash your pc if any driver fails due to a violation.

Driver verifier should be performed for a max of 48 hours, or when you have a bluescreen, whatever comes first.

If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset in safe mode driver verifier, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.

Your system will act very sluggishly while driver verifier is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.

Hi - it sucks that my first post here is a BSOD Crash dump but here goes:

I am an overclocker and I have experienced multiple BSOD's before all of which I can usually fix myself. But this one is driving me nuts

Bluescreen reports the BSOD as caused by ntoskrnl.exe+25b20. Interesting to note is that this happens only when the system is under almost full load - CPU at 100% during [email protected] crunching, as well as one of the two GPU's folding as well. IIRC, there were no BSOD's during only CPU folding but I'd have test it again to confirm.

Attached is the perfmon report as well as the report from the BSOD file collection app.

OS - Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1 OEM (I bought the OEM version - custom built computer)
Hardware age - built January 2011 - but cleaned and rebuilt a couple months ago
OS age - about 2 months

CPU - Core i7 950 @ 4Ghz
GPU - 2x EVGA GTS 450
Mobo - ASUS P6X58D-e
PSU - Corsair AX750

Thanks in advance for any help.

A:BSOD 0x0fc ntoskrnl.exe - Attempted execute of no execute memory

Update: I confirmed that it is NOT a CPU overclock issue - 100% just CPU runs just fine. Its when a GPU is factored in that it crashes. About 5 minutes in with 1 or 2 GPU's at full load combined with the CPU at full load causes this.

So today I did a fresh install of Windows 8.1 that I downloaded from Microsoft's website onto a flash drive because my Windows 10 had issues and the reset didn't work for it so I had to downgrade. As soon as windows did the first part of the install, I got an error message when it restarted, to finish installation, that said Attempted Execute of No Execute Memory. Then my computer resets again and another error pops up telling me I have to reinstall windows again. So I try this and the same thing happens. Does anybody have any ideas? I have an iBuypower Desktop

Hello eightforums, I have another recurring issue, this is a fresh install of windows and I am not sure what the problem could be besides hardware. I'd appreciate if you could look through my minidump and see if anything can be gleamed.

A:Attempted execute of no execute memory

A fresh install and the BSOD's continue.

Out of 6 memory dumps there were 6 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers)
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

And several of the BSOD's are most likely hardware related.

As such, please run these free hardware diagnostics (and let us know the results): Hardware Diagnostics
I am suspicious of your video card, so please ensure that you run the video diagnostics at the above link.

Hello and nice to meet you all!
I found this place from searching how to solve the problem I'm experiencing and it seems to be the best bet right now.

Problem Condition:
I am having BSOD "Attempted execute of no execute memory" whenever I leave my computer idle for 5-10 minutes for about 2 weeks now. At 100% of its data collecting, it never restarts, and I always need to manually shut it down and re-open.
Additional information:
I have this laptop for about 6 months now, and this problem occurred recently, so its hard to believe that it would be a hardware problem. I tried doing a system restore to the period before this problem occurred but it does not seem to help. At the end of each system restore, it informed me that some files could not be reverted because it was protected.

I have attached my DM log here, and if you need more information, I will be happy to cooperate.
Thank you for your time and effort!

Hey guys, I have a question before it is too late to return my tablet. I have a 64 gb Venue and it is intel atom bay trail processor. I was playing Far Cry 2, and had to alt-tab out to use my trainer program. It stalled a few times alt-tabbing, and I had to go to Start, Switch Users with windows 8 a few times to log out and come back in and restart the game.

Anyways, after alt-tabbing too much, I must have hiccuped the pc and the heat was too much, and it shut off from overheating. I panicked and let it cool for a while, but first I turned it on and ran HWMonitor. I will upload a screen, but it shows a temperature of 191 degree Celsius which is outrageous. This thing was very very hot, it took ten minutes or so and it still felt a little hot.

Anyways, also, from the sleep state, I tried to log in and when I typed my correct password, it said there was not enough resources to log in another user. I tried and after the third time it logged me in. Is this resource problem because of the heat and things were acting funny, or is it because I went to Start, Switch User a couple times to un freeze my game from alt-tabbing.

The tablet works fine, but that 191 degrees bothers me. I played Far Cry 2 for a half hour just now, with the trainer, and all was fine.

Should I return it because it overheated and had the error logging in, or are these known issues? I have another week to consider keeping this. I know the thermal shut off is designed to prevent damage, b... Read more

A:Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet question

by the way, this screen shot is from today, not when I overheated it. for some reason, the 191 goes away and comes back. if i reset values or shut down, it always still comes back to 191, so it can be an error with HWMonitor. I used this screen to show the 191, but the time it overheated, the processors were much hotter.

This screenshot if after a half hour of playing Far Cry 2, so that is what these temps are from.

We have a Venue 5130 Venue Pro tablet.  Its about a year out of warranty.  I noticed recently that the battery pack had expanded and was expanded from the tablet casing so it wouldn't shut.  I bought a replacement battery (not cheap) but only not started researching what the problem might have been and I can see that other people have had issues with their tables.  The old battery pack has expanded to a worrying extent - and since removal appears to have expanded further.
Advice online seems to be to NOT try recycle this and to treat it carefully as its unstable.  Not sure what to do it with so?   If the battery packs are liable to being unstable how can they be installed in tablets to begin with.  Reading online it would appear that there are issues with such batteries if they are overcharged.  I don't know if that was the problem in my case.  All I know is the batter packy is swollen up to an unreal extent.  See Photo below.
Another problem is Dell Customer Support doesn't appear to be contactable in a tangible way after the 12 month service period is up.  Negotiating the Dell website looking for a way to talk to a human about the problem is frustrating as everything leads to dead-end options, particularly at the weekend.  Not happy with Dell hardware and not happy so far with Dell service
A dissatisfied customer,

A:Dell Venue Tablet Swollen Battery

Most computer shops and most municipal solid waste sites will take back swollen batteries for disposal.   It isn't uncommon for lithium ion batteries to swell when their end of life approaches, just as ordinary alkalines will leak if they're left in a device when they've been used up.  Don't puncture the swollen battery - simply send it off for recycling with a location that can deal with disposing of it.

Dell Venue 8 5830 Pro cameras are not working.
I have installed the Windows 10 Anniversary version twice but I cannot get the cameras to work at all. For the installation, I have managed to use an external USB flash drive to upgrade with no Internet updates during the process. After several boots later, the tablet appears to be OK except for the camera app. I have looked and checked there is no problems in the Device Manager. (I should have wrote down the error number, I was using the tablet to check for the errors)The error led me to the following website:
It was suggesting that my antivirus might be at fault. I went ahead and disabled the antivirus to test this suggestion, but the result is still the same, no cameras. During this install, I tried to update the drivers under Image and under Sound. It did not work and after several attempts, I did screw something up and the sound was not working at all. I tried to reinstall the sound drivers but to no avail. Therefore, I restored the previous backup. A few days later, tried to install the Anniversary version for the 2nd time. This time, I added the registry hack for the 32-bit fix from what was floating around online, and tried the camera program but Windows kept on saying cameras cannot be found with the long error code that takes me to previous microsoft web site regarding how to troubleshoot problem areas. I have it working in Windows 10 before. Therefore,... Read more

Hi Eriksson40 & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

I have analysed your dump files and below has been provided an analysis of the same for informative purposes :-
An attempt was made to execute non-executable memory. The guilty driver is on the stack trace (and is typically the current instruction pointer). When possible, the guilty driver's name (Unicode string) is printed on the bugcheck screen and saved in KiBugCheckDriver.

below is what I have sent to 3+ different departments and have yet received a single response.
I have a Dell Venue 11 Pro, I purchased the Complete care w/ next business Day support. I had returned my device for repair in the recent past and only partial response was provided. The display was replaced but no support was provided for the system loosing response to attached keyboard, locked up reboot sequences from system freezes, and loss of WIFI access.
When received the back cover never would remain secure to the main body, and the camera lens keeps coming off, now the Lithium-polymer battery has expanded to such an extreme that the cover will not close even with moderate pressure. The battery reports good heath so it is not an issue with being an old battery just needing replacement, this is a safety / quality recall issue.Lithium batteries are susceptible to defects which can cause fires and damage. I would like a actual positive response to my issues. I have been a long time customer and advocate of Dell, but the service I have received is sub-par. I have contacted customer support, been given the run around, or just had my calls transferred to non responsive links without even a sound to know I’m still connected. Now for that last couple weeks I am told sorry I have sent your issue to a higher level but to date NO RESPONSE.  IS THIS THE SERVICE WE AS CUSTOMERS GET NOW??  The last response I got ", I read your email and ... A:Dell venue 8 pro roll back

Thank you for writing to us!
Kindly follow the steps:
1-To roll back your Windows 10, go to your PC Settings, by typing Settings in the taskbar search bar, next to the Windows icon, and clicking on Settings. It will open the PC Settings. Select ?Update and Security?.
2-The Update and Security option opens. Here you will see options like Windows Update, Activation, Backup, Recovery and Windows Defender. Click on ?Recovery?.

I have one of these machines and it needs to have Windows 7 on it because that is what is standardized in our environment now.  I have it all set up but the only thing I can't get working is the Touchscreen.  I also see that a Serial I2C Controller Driver is missing but I cannot seem to find the driver for it.
Any ideas?

Hi All
I bought my daughter a Dell Venue 11 Pro in September last year with a 2 year warranty.  When I receoved it, I checked the service tag here:
And confirmed the warranty.  Now there is a fault with the device and I've just checked the warranty status again, but get the following info:
Warranty details for your Venue 7140 Pro

Service Tag: XXXXXXXShip date: January 01, 0001Country: Unknown

No information available.

Can anyone help with this?  The problem is that when I turn it on, it buzzes, shows the Dell Logo, displays a progress indicator then up comes the rolling dots in a circle, where it just stays there.
Thanks for reading.....

A:Dell Venue Pro 11 Service tag No information available

Oh I forgot.  I got the service tag number from the sticker on the tablet and also checked it was the same in the bios.  Also I've done a diagnostic (ePSA pre-boot System assessment and everything passed.

I have a Dell venue pro 11 7140

it has a 7265 m.2 intel dual band wireless card

I have purchased a 18260NGW wifi bt and wigig card

it fits nicely, and only the 8260 wifi and bt is detected in the windows 10 os.

Is there something limited in the tablet, to not allow it to recorgnise the wigig part of the 18260 card

It does mention wifi/wigi switch in the bios, so its obviously designed with wigig abilities of some kind

I would like to say I have been dinking around with Dell PC's for many years, use to purchase "dead" Dell laptops off of eBay and fixed them down to replacing chips on the motherboard.. I got involved in this forums as a result of a scripting question, while trying to create a program that would run a single script instead of having to run several, or even remember the commands... That single script now runs the Partitions, setup, recovery, wimboot images scripts perfectly and the project was uploaded in the Setup and Installation Forum..

Well now I am into tablets and wimboot images and system recovery on 16GB-32GB drives..

The interesting thing I found out about Dell Tablets is the amount of wasted drive space that is allocated to the UEFI Partitions

So in regards to Dell Tablets - I have one suggestion - even on brand new purchases

Go into Control panel - Recovery - Create Recovery drive and create a recovery usb

Then boot from that usb and reset the partitions and re-write the windows image...

Not only does Dell over allocate partition space and size - it writes a production folder that contains the images that are then copied to the other partitions, so you end up with more then twice the needed file size. PBR_ does away with the un-needed folder and can gain you about 6GB of space on a 32GB drive.. that's a 20% gain in usable disk space

A:How to gain disk space on a Dell Venue Pro

Thank you obi-one-kanobi! I hate red text btw.

This has happened on two Venue 10 tablets after the most recent group of "optional" updates. Rebooting after installation causes a Secure Boot error. The fix is to access the bios setup using a keyboard, turn off Secure Boot, reboot and go through the BitLocker recovery routine. The updates are KB3087137, KB3087041, KB3087390, KB3073874, KB2999226, KB3084905. KB3080042, KB3080800, KB3082353. I have no idea which cause the problem. Dell Support says that Secure Boot Off is supposed to be the default condition. Either one of these updates turned it On or it was always On and the update triggered the error.

A:Dell Venue 10 Win 8.1 updates cause Secure Boot Error

I have the same problem with a Dell Venue 8 Pro running Win 8.1. This had been working just fine and the only thing installed recently were the updates you mentioned. I tried doing a system restore to before the updates, but it didn't make any difference. Just get a red box saying Secure Boot Violation - Invalid Signature Detected. Turning Secure Boot off in the BIOS is a workaround, but because device encryption was enabled (it's enabled by default when you sign in with a Microsoft account) it then prompted for the BitLocker recovery key on every cold bootup. Entering a 48 digit key every time is a pain, so for now I have disabled encryption.

I think Dell are mistaken if they say Secure Boot Off is the default condition. It was definitely On already on mine.

I do notice the device boots up quite a bit quicker with the encryption disabled. I will probably just run it the way it is (secure boot and encryption disabled) but does anyone know how to fix this properly? Would a full reset from the recovery partition put things back?

In reading this forum and feedback over the last week or so pertaining to the XPS 15 products and the Battery  I decided before my wife and I each plunk down $2300 each for new laptops I better find out if replacement batteries are available....  Well,   after being on the Phone with 5 different people today at Dell in both Sales and tech Support...  The Batteries Are Not Available.  That makes the Dell xps 15 the smallest door stop in my house.
We started to look for replacements of our current Laptops and did alot of reading on the Dell XPS 15 with the 7700 HQ processor, 16 gb of ram and 512GB of SSD storage.... 4GB of Video ram and a 1050 processor.    The unit requires a 97Whr battery.    So,  I figure I'd check in to see what the cost of the replacement battery was and if it was available if we wanted to buy a spare..   I was floored by the amount of time it took to the the answer and what I was told... but in short here it is...
My first attempt was thru on line chat.. I was told that the battery was discontinued and that a reconditioned 43 wat would fit the Unit..  My first comment was what the heck do you do with a 43whr battery in this powerful laptop... but no matter how I asked the question the answer was the same...  So I inquired about one for a previous year 84whr battery and I got the same answer...    That tells me something is wrong they would ...
