Internet Connection from a single device

Q: Internet Connection from a single device

Phone: Samsung S3 Neo
Modem: Technicolor tg589vn v3

About a month ago I have suddenly stopped getting internet connection to my phone from only my internet (wifi). Other devices can connect to my wifi network and my phone can connect to different wifi networks. My phone does connect to the wifi (It says connect to Edimax...) but no data comes in.The problem is not that I have inputted the wrong password. I have tried resetting the phone (factory reset), no progress. I have called my ISP (they don't know how to help). I don't know what else I can do. Please if you can, help me.

Preferred Solution: Internet Connection from a single device

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Background: 2 days ago I updated from my very old dated modem to the newer 2wire model from my ISP. Everything appeared to go fine and operate correctly with one exception...

As soon as I go to blogtv.com (using firefox) and as soon as I try to load any live stream my internet connection drops and shows network cable unplugged under the network connections tab. About 20 seconds or so later it will reconnect to the net but as soon as blogtv reloads same old problem.

If I do this on IE the page sometimes load, sometimes not but does not kill my connection.

Any ideas and/or help would be much appreciated as this kinda thing isn't my strong suit.

Hi guys,

Wow a lot has changed since I last logged in, anyways I'm needing a bit of help today.

Windows 7 Ultimate, 32bit (fully licensed).
AMD Sempron 3400+ 1,80Ghz.

I have a media center setup in my living room that I use as a Home Theater, I also use it from time to time for general PC usage etc.

I have two user profiles 'PC' - for normal PC stuff and 'Media Center' - which runs WMC for movies/music etc.

What I'm wanting to do is stop all network connections on the 'Media Center' user profile but keep access on the 'PC' profile.

The reason for this is on the 'Media Center' profile I want to be able to run as little as possible, eg no Comodo/Avira Antivirus etc so that I have as nothing running that i don't need for playing movies (if you get me? basically cutting out all the c**p)

Just blocking access to programs is not enough as I don't want to not have firewall/anti virus running if there's still a chance that someone/something can access through the internet connection.

Unplugging cables is not an option as built into a media cupboard under the stairs.
Disabling and Enabling LAN connection is a pain and there must be a workaround for what I want.

I have searched but have been unable to find the answer anywhere so far.

Any insight is greatly appreciated!!

This is my first time asking for help with network problems online, so bear with me.

We've (we=family) been having internet connection problems with one of our computers. The computer with the problem happens to be our desktop, the only computer in the network that is using a LAN connection. All laptops/iPods/TVs/etc. connected to the wifi network are working properly.

The connection problems have been steadily getting worse over the last few months. The first problem was with an online classroom. Although the computer appeared to have no other connection issues, I would be disconnected from the classroom server several times throughout the class. It was as if there was a short break in the internet connection every 10 minutes or so. Eventually, we noticed that links wouldn't always work the first time we clicked on them, and this began happening more often. Now, we're lucky if we can get a page to open on the first try. It often takes multiple attempts to get a page to load.

As further proof of a connection problem, YouTube videos only buffer about 5 seconds. After the 5 seconds of video have played, we have to click beyond what has buffered in order for the video to reload and buffer another 5 seconds. The same problem happens with downloads. After about 5 seconds of downloading, the downloaded amount stops increasing, and the estimated time remaining begins quickly increasing. In order to get a file to download, I have to click the download link, wait ... Read more

Is there a way to monitor all device's internet connection into a log ? (computer, laptop, tablets and phone ... all in one)

Deeper explanation :

because I do not like AT&T DSL 5M internet provider, but that is the only company in this area that has it.
(no Hughes dish etc ... no)

anyway, I am getting sick of disconnecting and reconnecting ... not sure if that DSL is fluctuating ... or along the DSL lines thru houses/business re-wiring DSL ... or etc etc etc ...

how can I know whether is it guaranteed disconnected/Reconnected by computer or DSL or etc ?

I was playing a 8 ball tournament online and lost one match dues disconnecting (no, hack/cheat involved because I played on mobile)

only thing I noticed is that AT&T cellular data still connected forever without getting disconnected ... but I can not use data plan because of the limited bandwidth/data usage.

so, I tried nearly everything I can think of and researched hard ... and tested it ... I still can not find an issue, even DSL guy came here to check it out ... nothing's wrong here ... BS ... there is something, somewhere that is causing disconnecting and reconnecting ...

already did flush dns, clear cache, etc etc ...

I just need networking monitor log because I am can not watch all 6 devices and test it when disconnecting occurs ... I thought that is a great idea to pinpoint even further down, for example : laptop #2, tablet #1 and this computer gets disconnecting reconnecting when ... Read more

I set up ICS on my laptop so that I can use my Xbox 360 in the living room. Everything runs fine, however when I run a network diagnostic test on the 360 it tells me that it only has "moderate" connectivity to the NAT.

When I have the 360 hooked up directly to the router setting up the DMZ for the 360 is no problem. However, when the 360 is set up in the living room and running off of the ICS I can't set it up as a DMZ because my router only allows a DMZ to be set up as a hardcoded 192.168.1.xxx format. Since the address assigned to the 360 does not follow the 192.168.1.xxx format I need to be able to assign the DMZ to an address that doesn't maintain the 192.168.1.xxx convention. Is there any way of doing this either by reconfiguring my WRT54G router in some way or by some other networking trickery?

Thanks in advance.

I got a used asus X54C laptop from ebay. I replaced a faulty hard disk, downloaded OS7 , reinstalled and activated with the key provided on the back of the machine.

The problem is the laptop has no internet connection. However, my desktop computer has no problems. Both machines are connected through a LAN switch to the same DSL router (Experia V8). I would like to be able to connect the asus to the internet through WLAN.

I tried to run Systeminfo.exe. But the asus is missing .NET Framework 4. The file dotNetFx40_Full_setup seems to need an internet connection as well. I'm at this all afternoon with no progress at all. How can I figure out whether I have all hardware I need in the first place? I need this laptop+internet for study.

Thanks for any help, maurits

I am trying to figure out how to set up a connection so that my phone can connect to the internet on my computer. I am not sure what network to connect too or how to set up a connection to get Wi-Fi on my phone. How can I fix this?

A:How do I set up a connection so that my mobile device can connect to my computer and use the internet?

According to your description, I suggest you create an Ad-Hoc Network to  share an Internet connection.
Meanwhile, as far as know on windows 8 or 8.1,you just can use CMD with admin privileges to create it.
Regarding how to create it, I would like to share the article with you:
Where is the ?ad hoc? wireless connection feature in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1
Note: Ad hoc networks can only be wireless, so you must have a wireless network adapter installed in your computer to set up or join an ad hoc network.

Would appreciate some help restoring Internet connection.

Did an install of Windows 7, and, at first, had Internet access. Installed an AV (Panda), MBAM, Windows Updates, and also tried to upgrade IE8 to IE11. Have no clue what borked the connection.

Keep getting:
"The remote device or resource won't accept the connection."
"Connection with server cannot be established."

In Device Manager there was a Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface with a yellow flag. I removed it and restarted, but, it was not there after the reboot, so, it did not re-install.

Thanks for your help.

A:No Internet access, remote device or resource won't accept connection

Marie have you run the Network Connection Troubleshooter?

Did you install the wireless driver from the PC maker's Support Downloads webpage?

Can you plug in by ethernet cable to download that driver and install? In addition Check for Updates to install any other Important or Optional Updates, as other drivers or patches may be needed for this.

A search for the error here suggests resetting IE and also says spyware may be involved.

If you want I can connect via TeamViewer to go over and and finish setting up the install for you. Install at all defaults and PM to me the ID and pw. I am here til midnight PST tonight and all day tomorrow.

i would really like some help in order to disable a plug and play window from appearing when i start windows, while still having the functionality if i want to use plug and play to install other devices... i've had a problem with this for months a plug and play window wanting to install my printer pops up every startup, i have already fixed and tested my printer, and on device manager it says it is installed with no problems, so i think this is a bug, because it works fine, i just need ink, but i can print a blank page from windows...

A:stopping a single plug and play device (Not the service) from activating

The New Hardware Wizard may detect the printer device after every restart of the computer

Found this at Kelly's:

Workaround for HP Printers:

1. When the Found New Hardware Wizard starts at startup of the computer, click <next>.

2. When it asks you for the HP disk, (the next thing that will require a response from you probably), click <ok>. However, do NOT insert the disk into your CD-ROM drive.

3. On the next screen that comes up, there will be a button that is already highlighted telling the wizard where to find the printer driver (which is what it is looking for). This button will be pointing it at "other media, CD-ROM,

The trick is to DESELECT this button. At that point, the button for your C: drive will become active and you can select the C: drive. It will also probably be prompting you with the location for the already installed HP printer driver that is somewhere on your C: drive. (If not, you need to click browse and locate the driver).

4. After you have deselected the CD-ROM and selected the C: drive, click <ok> (or <next> or whatever.) The Wizard then makes a second copy of your printer driver (and, by the way, creates a second "installed printer" in your Control Panel/Printers). And then, the wizard finally completes and tells you that you have successfully installed the new hardware.

5. On subsequent startup, the Wizard should then NOT run.

Wow. Haven't run into this one before, but when I started googling it, I noticed most of the posts are very recent, so I guess this is a somewhat new phenomenon. What makes my case a little more interesting, however, is that it's happening on a brand new installation. And not once, but twice (I re-installed again after it happened the first time.

So basically here's what's happening. After a fresh install of WinXP Pro (same one installed on many other pc's just fine) and after just a few minutes of normal operation (everything opens just fine, and things are hunky dory) all of a sudden nothing will open. No shortcuts, no programs, nothing. Not a single executable on this PC will launch. Always the same message (see title).

Only 1 account, and it's an admin account by default. And like I said I've done this exact same installation the exact same way with the exact same CD a dozen times, without a hitch.

Safe mode seems to not be affected. Wierd. At least I don't think so.

Can anyone help? There are a thousand posts about this all over the net, and I've scanned a few dozen, but it doesn't seem to have been solved.

Again...Brand new installation...so presumably NOT A VIRUS.

A:Every Single .exe = "Windows Cannot Access The Specified Device, Path or File

Hello newreel,

There is the possibility that your Windows? XP CD is scratched, as you mentioned...

I've done this exact same installation the exact same way with the exact same CD a dozen times, without a hitch.

It does not matter how careful you are with the handling of them, they don't last forever.

Now for a possible solution...

Please try this workaround (you will need the Windows? XP SP2 CD or an integrated SP3 CD if SP3 is installed).

(In the event that you do not have a Windows? XP CD with SP2,(or SP3) you will need to 'borrow' one from a friend or colleague, as the manufacturer's "Recovery Discs" will not work in this instance.)

Insert the Windows? XP CD in your drive. (Hold down the Shift Key to prevent it from starting.)

Go Start > Run ...in the box type in sfc /scannow ?please take note of the space between the sfc and the /.

This is the System File Checker...it will scan all the Windows? core system files to ensure that they are in their respective correct places, and if not replace them from the CD.

During the scan you may be asked to Insert the CD, if this happens just go retry and let it do its thing.

One important point: While sfc is running, it is not advisable to do any other work, or have any browsers/programs running on the computer, until the scan is complete. (This process will generally take around 45-65 minutes to complete).

Once finished, remove... Read more

Hello guys, I've searched all over google many times since we moved here and still cannot find a solution to this problem.

We have a 6Mbit line but whatever we try to download using a single connection we can only get 20-70 KB/s. P2P programs like uTorrent that use multiple connections are able to get full speed as well as download managers(like fireDownload for firefox)

The worst affected by this issue is call of duty(2,4, and 5) We aren't even able to connect to a modded server because we download so slow, even with all the server downloads redirected to a web server.

Our ISP is Persona, It's a 6Mbit line.
We are using a WBR-2310 router, and plugged into it with a cable, not wireless.

Speedtest.net shows a speed of 1Mbit/s to Edmonton ~150 miles away.

I'm hoping some of you could post all of the possbile causes you can think of.

Register at DSLReports and run their Line Quality Tests. It's best to run this test with a direct wired connection to eliminate any wireless issues from the results. It's useful many times to run this test several times, and we'd like to see each of the results. Post the results link from the top of the test display page for each test run here.

The link to post is near the top of the page and looks like:

If you wish to post this result to a forum, please copy/paste this URL
http://www.dslreports.com/linequality/nil/2357195 <- sample only, yours will obviously be different!
and your IP will be disguised.

Copy/paste that link here.

Note: You will have to enable PING (ICMP) request response either in your router (if you have one), or in your computer's firewall for direct modem connections. This is very important to get the most important part of the test to run.

Here's also the Line Quality Tests FAQ to help you understand the results. This will answer some questions about the line quality display.

Well I'm on Windows 8 and my computer has been running fine until yesterday. Randomly at around 8:00, my internet shut itself and it wouldn't work. I tried resetting the router and such but nothing worked. My computer can connect to the internet connection,
but when I boot up Google Chrome it will not work. So I did some troubleshooting and eventually it said this "The remote device or resource won't accept the connection". And it's not only my internet browser that won't work. Other apps like Skype
won't connect either. After looking at another thread, I tried resetting the settings on Internet Explorer and changing the Proxy thing but nothing worked. Someone also suggested downloading Hitman, but that was stupid considering I couldn't even connect to
the internet. I had Windows Defender scan my computer and it said there was nothing wrong. So I'm not sure what is up. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

A:Cannot connect to Internet. "The remote device or resource won't accept the connection"

Make sure other device connected to your internet don't have similar issue
is there any changes before this issue happen? install, reinstall, windows update, HW changes, router setting or environment changes
just try at safe mode with networking, if its fine at safe mode with networking, than something to do with 3rd party software, antivirus, firewall ect. Try to restore your PC using restore point
if this issue also persist at safe mode, its considering driver or hardware failure (try to update driver, reinstall or run basic TS regarding WLan issue)

Thanks in advance for helping here, because I am at a loss as to how to fix this. . .

I have a Panasonic 35" TV. I have a coaxial cable connected to the back input. Occasionally, the screen picture will go black, with a single line of compressed video appearing across the middle of the screen. The sound is unaffected. If I jiggle the coaxial cable slightly, usually by pushing or pulling it slightly, the problem goes away. Until I let go of the cable.

And yes, the coaxial cable is firmly screwed into the input jack.

The input jack at the back of the TV set does seem to have a little play. The metal plate containing the input jack moves slightly when pushed or pulled, and this restores the picture.

Thanks, Chris.

I have a very strange problem that hopefully someone can make some sense out of.

My parents have a Vista Business laptop (Dell i1520 laptop) that somehow manages to kill the internet connection on some routers. When the machine is powered on, it will be able to connected both wired and wireless to the router and internet. After a random amount of time, the internet connection will be killed on all machines attached to the router. This occurs both at their house and my house, both using a Netgear G router. They have an additional vista home premium machine and I have 2 vista home premium machines none of which display this problem on the same networks. Both of us have Comcast as well. Now, it starts to get even stranger. When the machine is taken to another location, in this case with a D-Link N router on optonline.net, the internet connection is stable.

We also tried booting the machine off of Knoppix on the location where it was causing problems and the connection is stable.

Machine had NIS2009, which I tried removing (both via Add/Remove programs and via Norton's "removal tool"). No affect.

Obviously, this has something to do with an interaction between the router and the machine, but the fact that other vista machines are stable seems to eliminate some compatibility with the routers. The fact that knoppix is stable eliminates the network card's interaction with the router, and the fact that it works behind a D-Link router eliminates the general vi... Read more

I've got Vista Business set up on two machines. I can get them to connect via my wired LAN that I've setup here without any issues. I'm using a Linksys WRT5GX4 that i just want to use for wired, so I've turned off the wireless for this.

On one of the computers I wish to be able to access the free wireless that is provided by my apartment complex; but I wish to do that via my D-Link DWL-G122 Wireless USB adapter. I can connect to the wireless network no problem as long as I'm not also connected to my wired network.

As soon as I plug my ethernet cable from my machine with the wireless adapter into my wired network I lose my wireless connectivity. I'm sure Windows Vista allows for this type of setup; I just can't figure out how to set it up.

Any ideas, pointers etc? I can obviously configure the wired network in any way I want; but I'm limited as far as the wireless goes as it is public. I currently have the wired setup to private, and as I said I have no problems connecting these two, I just can't also have the one machine connect wirelessly at the same time.

Welcome to SF,

First thing to do is download the latest driver from the Manufacturer's site, then uninstall your network adapter from Device Manager, then manually install the latest driver.

Please post back if that helped or not.

this occures when there is no response to the DHCP request.

First, disable the WiFi, cable a connection to the router and retry; what's the result?

While connected to the router, config it for the:
router address and DHCP range
wifi SSID, Channel
set a new admin password and save the settings.

Disable the wired interface, enable the WiFi and retry the WiFi connection

Hi, I'm writing on the behalf of my brother, who's (desktop) PC is in the room as I write this on my laptop. We usually share our internet connection (I am still using it), but he is no longer able to connect.

In the past, he has gotten a "A network cable has been unplugged" message several times in seemingly random intervals, restarting his PC would usually fix this.

However yesterday he got a message: "This connection has limited or no connectivity" and his game (AlienSwarm at the time (through steam)) stalled out and he decided to restart the PC yet again, only this time after the reboot, he not only wasn't reconnected to the internet, he also couldn't find the Local Area Connection icon(s) in his Network Connections window, the only thing there is a "1394 Connection" which we have no clue about.

I'm gonna add my skype here if any helpful people need more info on this :P Feel free to add jaan.stern

Also I put this in the XP forum, because I wouldn't know which Network support subforum to use!

A:[SOLVED] Loss of internet connection, along with missing icons in Internet Connection

1394 Connection = firewire.

Start from 'go', ie, in Device Manager, uninstall his network adapter then reboot and set up a NEW network connection.

BTW - did he have any ports 'forwarded' etc?

I'm using the standard free router that is provided when signing up to tiscali/talktalk and for well over a year it has been working fine, however; last night my second PC crashed and now nothing on my network (PC1 Laptop iTouch PS3) can access the internet when this pc is plugged into any port on the router.

I've done all the below things and nothing has helped
Tried alternate ports on the router (including a known working port)
Set it to Wireless
Rebooted router / pc
Ran AVG, Malwarebytes, Spybot S&D, CCleaner. all came back no viruses, optimised the registry etc
uninstalled the only programs that I've installed on there in the last week (Skype, MSN, browser toolbar)
Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults (netsh int ip reset reset.log)
Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults (netsh winsock reset catalog)
Turned off all firewalls
Searched around online (and found you guys)
I can get the effected PC to access the router controls by surfing the the IP, but will not go any further. I've seen a similar issue on this forum and the guy chose to do a reinstall, but i've no way to back up 1tb of data atm without fragmenting it over other pc's external drives and dozens of dvd's so would rather avoid that if possible

I think the answer to this is just plug in other Gigabit socket and instal drivers but wanted to check with you lot first.

My motherboard is an Asus Z87 Deluxe (for my sins) and i have my earthnet cable running into the Intal LAN socket and that is fine apart from my speeds are

some of the worst in London, in fact the Shetland Islands have a faster speed them me, So after doing some digging and some negotiations with the sales staff at a 4G ISP called "Relish" i now have access to there 4G LTE hardware and have a half decent speed, however that is linked just to my lappy on a temp basis but i want to be able to feed both ISP lines into the one main PC, is it a simple case of taking another earthnet cable from the 4G router and putting it in the other Gigabit socket, enable that socket in the bios (as i have disabled it) and installing the drivers for that socket? this is what Asus say about that part of my board
Intel? I217V, 1 x Gigabit LAN Controller(s)
Realtek? 8111GR, 1 x Gigabit LAN Controller(s)
Dual Gigabit LAN controllers- 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) appliance
Intel? LAN- Dual interconnect between the Integrated LAN controller and Physical Layer (PHY)
Am i right?
Can you see any issues?
I will only need to use both ISp's for about 5 months when my ADSL will expire and i will carry on using Relish as i have paid for the year.

I have recently changed the name of my network, as well as the password for the network. All of my devices (Android tablet, iPod touch, Macbook Pro, Laptop running XP, Xbox) are connecting fine except one desktop running Windows Vista. This computer is giving my a local connection, but says it is not connected to the internet. When I try to access the router's control panel from this computer, it says that it cannot connect.

The router is a Linksys WRT160N with the encryption type set to WPA2 Personal.

The computer is connected to the local area network, but says the router is not connected to the internet. It is able to ping the router, and is sending and receiving packets.

Here are all the network settings for this computer, currently (connected to the computer via Ethernet from wireless router):

Hi There!

I'm not terribly technical so please bear with me. I really hope someone can help as this is driving me nuts...

I'm running Windows 7 on an HP PC wired directly into the Internet. Everything has been fine (more or less) since I bought it a year ago, but yesterday - for no obvious reason as far as I could tell - my main browser (Chrome) stopped working. I tried Firefox and IE, but they wouldn't work either.

Then I saw the Internet was still accessible - iTunes was working, Skype was working, and so on. It was just browsers. I tried reinstalling Chrome and Firefox - nothing. Using my laptop for the initial download, I installed Safari for Windows and - much to my amazement - it worked, but to go over to that permanently seems like a plaster over a major wound. And in any case, there is obviously something very wrong (although probably not terribly serious - I hope!)

Last night and this morning, I've been hunting high and low for a solution to no avail. There are threads on this site (mostly several years old and closed) too, and I think I've now tried every possibility mentioned there.

If I start up in safemode with networking, it's fine.

The only anti-virus product I had was Norton (sorry!) which I've uninstalled. I ran the removal tool twice to make sure.

I've just started work again after the summer holiday and need this machine for my job. If I take it back to the place I bought it, I can wave goodbye to it for sev... Read more

So recently i've started having this problem where when connected to my 5GHz network if I am connected to a specific person my internet will cut out shortly after connecting with them. This does not occur when on the 2.4GHz network and only happens with one person. As far as I know, there is no other person that causes this issue, unfortunately for me, this is the person who i'm talking to the most. It happens no matter what platform i'm using whether it's discord, facebook, skype, and presumably anything else I could try. It doesn't have to be a direct connection either, for example discord call with this person or on a server connected to a chat with 5 other people.

Please send help.

Hello, this is my first post here and I apologize in advance if any information is missing or incomplete.

I recently set up an old linksys router to act as a wifi repeater using DD-WRT firmware. It appears to be functioning fine, except for the fact that the desktop computer I set it up with cannot access the internet. All of the other devices on the network have totally normal (and better, actually) access to the web. As I said, it appears to be working fine and I do have a thread open at the DD-WRT forums in the event of a router issue. At this point, however, the problem is isolated to my desktop, which I why I'm seeking help here.

What originally was happening was that I could access the WiFi network on said computer for a few minutes, then it would stop working, and I would have to switch to the other network (the original or the repeater, or vice versa) in order to get it to work again. That cycle repeated over and over. Today, it's not working at all, and won't let me access the internet through Firefox or Chrome on either network despite showing a full internet signal.

The computer in question is an HP p7-1020 running Win 7 64 bit. I have disabled and re-enabled the wireless network adapter. I have triple checked that it is set to automatic IP and DNS and not on static. I have tried disabling ipv6 and then later renabling it. I have released/renewed my IP several times. I have flushed the DNS. I have deleted and re-added the SSID. I have rebooted th... Read more

What are the 'other devices'?
Is the HP the only device running 7?
What's the router your using and what sort of set up options have you got after installing the firmware?
I had a very similar problem trying to get wireless up my shed. One time I thought it was fine, next, nothing yet my iPhone was 'seeing' the wireless signal just fine.
I faffed with the advanced settings in the AP, like the preamble, the beacon interval, antenna selection etc., and eventually got it working.

my USB device which connecting me to the internet does not work and I searched about it in the device manager it appears under the cd-rom device and other two devices below the cd-rom with"!' sign then I have deleted the cd-rom drivers .

Can some give me a link to download the cd-rom driver and help to make my USB device working?
About the drivers I did not see my Qosmio kind in the driver list it has written at the back of the Qosmio F16-14Q.

Please help me

A:Qosmio F16-14Q - USB internet device showing ! in device manger

I don?t know which USB device do you use but if it doesn?t work you must have driver for this certain device. Toshiba doesn?t support third part hardware so try please to talk with your internet provider and ask for help.

One other thing: I don?t know where you have bought your Qosmio but I presume it was offered in Pakistan. The right support page should be http://asia.toshiba.com/pakistan

As far as I know optical disc drive uses standard Microsoft driver so you will not find driver for CD-rom drive.

I am writing about printing on an HP 1410 All-In-One. The problem is this.
I have a Word 2003 .doc. I then insert a jpg from a file. I locate it in the document where I want it and size it accordingly. For example: let's say the picture is 2" x 3" on the printed page. The document appears correctly in the program and in print preview.
However, when the page is printed, the jpg is printed twice, one over top of the other. Note: they are not superimposed. However, there are two images (2" x 1.5") and the perspective is "squashed."
Any suggestions if this is a Word 2003 problem, an OS problem (Windows 2000 Pro), or a printer problem?
Thanks for your help.

A:Single JPG Prints Multiple Times in Size for Single

I don't really understand what you mean. Maybe you could scan the print and attach it? The quickest way to tell if it's the printer or print driver would be to print something similar from a different program.

My main computer just randomly started spiking constantly for no reason and now I can't even isolate what is causing the latency.

I am using Windows vista on my main computer that is directly connected to a DSL modem. Somehow this computer specifically causes my internet to spike really bad and really often, when I am playing games I would usually get a ping of 90 ms, I now get anywhere from 300-1500 consistently. I tested my other computers connection when this computer was not on the internet and it is completely fine but the second this one connects back to the internet, it goes back to being terrible. What makes it really weird is that the problem randomly started when I hadn't even changed or installed anything and it even persisted through a reformat of the computer.

Something that might be associated with the problem, around the same time this started happening I started getting a message says the Microsoft host process has been ended.
