I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Okay so recently my computer has stopped loading images(mostly from DeviantART.com) on my internet browsers. All that would show up is a little gray box or one of the various "broken link" pictures for the various browsers i have tried. Also on some sites, the site itself does not load correctly and the background and header is tiled which it's not supposed to do. i've ran Malwarebytes', Symantec, and Spybot but nothing comes up and if something comes up i fix it but nothing changes. can anyone help?

This is my first time posting on a forum, so kindly excuse any mistake.

I frequently face a problem with my home internet connection where twitter images do not load properly. This happens both on Win7 Professional (64 bit) laptop as well my iPhone 4s. Sometimes twitter works perfectly fine but more than often, some of the images fail to load.

It works perfectly fine when I am connected to my office wifi, or tethered to my iPhone hotspot, or accessing twitter on my phone using the 3G data plan.

I have switched off my wifi and directly connected my laptop to the modem. My ISP's local technical rep has also replaced the ADSL modem. I have tried using Google DNS and OpenDNS, but still continue to face the same problem. Since this is not a 'critical' problem like internet completely not working, the ISP is probably not giving it all its attention.

I don't know if this helps, i had run namebench on my connection and had got a common error on all the DNSs
twitter.com appears incorrect
google.com is hijacked

I am slightly OCD in that it irritates me to see even a small error, so want to help the tech rep solve this. Or at least identify the issue so that i can tell the ISP to correct it. Hope you guys can help me out. Thanks in advance.

One of today's Microsoft updates supposedly deals with the repeated problems users experience when they try to install the Macromedia Shockwave / Flash Players in Internet Explorer.

All this time I've seen numerous attestations from users (including me, in multiple pc's and os-ie configurations) regarding problems (or, more accurately, utter failure) when it came to installing those Macromedia Players.

So, I suggest all frustrated users to visit the Internet Explorer ActiveX update page and follow MS' advice to download and install what you have to.

Bear in mind, though, that if you have the Player(s) installed or unsuccessfully tried to install them, you'll need first to take some additional steps. You'll find useful information in other relevant TSF threads and in Adobe's website.

A:Macromedia Shockwave / Flash Player problems solved in Internet Explorer?

I just wanted to know why you said Macromedia Shockwave/Flash Player. Because aren't they Adobe now as mentioned in your post Adob's website. I sometimes get confused whay people still call them Macromedia if they are adobe now. What happend to Macromedia anyway whenever I try to go to their website it ends up takeing me to adobe. Did adobe take over them or was Macromedia a branch of adobe I don't really pay attention to these things so I just ask.

I am looking for some help with a topic that is quite new to me. I am by no way computer illiterate but digital cameras are kind of new to me.

I am using a Canon EOS 20D and am struggling to be able to view any RAW files. When I say that I can't view them I really mean that I can't view them when I open the folder on the camera through windows I can see the folder where I would expect to see some files, the folder is empty.

I understand that windows does not natively support the viewing of RAW files and that some post processing has to take place so here is what I have done.

I have installed Adobe Photoshop CS2 and updated the RAW plugin to 3.6 and when I browse to the camera and open the folder where I would expect to see the files there is nothing, I also get the same result through the Adobe Bridge. I have also tried to copy the folder from the camera to my desktop and trying again but I get the same results.

I have now tried installing Microsoft RAW image thumbnailer and viewer for windows XP (Version 1.0 Build 50)

I get the same thing with this when I open the folder on the camera and if I copy it to my desktop.

I am able to view the RAW images on the camera's LCD display.

If I set the camera to take pictures in a Jpeg format then I can see the pictures through windows, Adobe photoshop and Adobe bridge.

I really don't know where I'm going wrong and I would appreciate some help and or advice.

So lately, within the last month, I've been having trouble viewing some Tinypic images. I've tried the ones that wont show in all my browsers (Chrome, IE, Safari, and FF), but with no luck. In the top of the browsers it always shows 1x1, and I see nothing at all. It's gotten consistently worse over the last month, and I can see very few Tinypic images now. I can see Photobucket and Imageshack just fine. My first thought what that perhaps it was a particular server that those images were uploaded to, but checking URLS that doesn't seem to be it as they're from many different ones.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I run Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2, all things are up to date. I have Kaspersky, and a firewall but I have not changed any settings between the time when it worked and now when it doesn't. My computer is a Toshiba Satellite from 2007, and it's a lemon. So I'm thinking this just has to be another one of it's issues.

A:Unable to view most Tinypic Images

In the top of the browsers it always shows 1x1Click to expand...

A one pixel image? If so, you'll need a really clean screen and really, really good eyesight to see it. How about an example URL so we can see (or not see)?

Hi, hopefully this will be an easy one for someone. I just formatted and reinstalled everything. When I open "some" emails in aol, I can't view any "online images". Where as, I have a box with a red "X" in the top left hand corner. I can't right click on it to view or change any settings. If I send it to my sbc account in Outlook, I can view it. Some emails in outlook are also doing the same. If I open up IE7, everything there is fine..Now the even crazier part. This does it on all 3 of my computers, all in the same way. The only think I have on all 3 computers in common, is Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2007. I have disabled it or closed it and it still happens....Any takers?????

A:unable to view images in outlook or aol

Either in the PC Cilin or in your security options in Outlook or AOL, you've disabled pictures it seems. Search through there and see if there is an option to enable them. Should be able to view after that.

Assuming they are .jpg and not .cdr files I suggest you open the folder ( within explorer) the pic's are stored in, then choose view, then select Thumbnails. See if that works.

I am unable to view digital images that I load to a floppy disk. I insert the floppy in the 'A' drive, then click on my computer, then the 'A' drive. When I try to open the

message: Program not found. Windows cannot find mvc-093f ( this is not the correct
# of the image displayed) This program is needed for opening files of type 'JPG files'. Location of mvc-093f.jpg:

reference to mvc-093f being in 'C' drive?
Thanks, Mike in Dallas

A:unable to view digital images from floppy drive

Do you normally view them in a browser window? Try this. Put in the floppy whose pics you can't open and then go into Windows Explorer and click on your A drive so that the files appear in the right pane. While holding the shift key down right click on one of the .jpg files and select 'Open With' on the menu. When the Open With screen pops up scroll down and click once on Iexplore to highlight it and then place a check in the little box where it says "always use this program etc..." then click ok. Now the pics should open in a browser window.

After updating FastStone Image Viewer, I'm unable to view most of my images. (I have access to images saved after the problem arose.) In FastStone's thumbnail view, a red cross appears where the photo is/was and when I highlight the thumbnail I see the name of the image and its original size.

The same happens if I try to view the images (via the containing folder) in Picasa or Irfanview, but MS Paint opens the image without problem. I've un installed and updated all the image viewers, and changed the default program for images between various image viewer programs.

However, if I move or copy the images to another file or the desktop I?m able to view them without problem in all of the viewers. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

There is a problem in which Flash Player stops once during the operation of the business portal currently operating based on Flash Player, so please contact us.

As a result of the verification, it is confirmed that it is not related to Adobe's Flash Player and is related to the function of Shockwave Flash Object installed in Windows 10 Internet Explorer 11.

Therefore, I would like to know whether it is possible to delete and reinstall the Shockwave Flash Object function.
And I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade or downgrade only the version of the Shockwave Flash Object (or any other related function) while leaving the version of Internet Explorer.

Thank you.

We have IE 6. Say a user goes to MSN.com. The ad on the right is a Flash object. Some of our users will see that object flickering when scrolling up or down on the page or when hovering their mouse over it. It's quite annoying. Almost all users are running Adobe Flash Player 9, but I think I've seen this happen on systems with Macromedia Flash Player 8 as well. Other systems don't have the problem. I've seen this happen on one system and not another while both seemed to have the same Flash objects installed.

Uninstalling all Flash players using Adobe's prescribed Flash Player uninstall tool seems to work at first, but users later complain again. Note that they just about always end up installing Flash Player 9 again, because sites ask for it. I don't believe I've seen this on any XP systems at all, including my own, but most of our users have Win2K.

Does anybody know why this happens or how to permanently fix it?

A:Ie 6 - Flash Objects Flickering - Using Adobe Flash Player 9 Activex R28 (shockwave Flash Object V.

More info: Adobe Flash Player 9, Macromedia Flash Player 8, and Macromedia Flash Player 10 all produce the same result--Flash objects that flicker when you put your mouse over any part of them. Moving Flash objects will flicker constantly while moving and stop flickering when the animation is done. SWF files (at least the one at www.stormwerks.com/linked/stuf/AYB2.swf) work without a problem when using Adobe Flash Player 9.

If I don't have Adobe Flash Player 9 installed, the Win2K machines prompt me to install them for almost any site that uses Flash (I guess most recent Flash objects cannot be viewed with the older Macromedia Flash Players).

Any suggestions?

Hi.. I've been looking for help all over the internet and I'm so happy I finally found this forum and was able to join..
Running Windows xp:
I cannot view "most" pictures when I go to a site through Internet Explorer. For example.. if I go to myspace.com, I can't see any "friends" pictures, (not even my own)
I have an account with photobucket and when I log in, all of the names of my pictures are there but not one picture is showing.. If I do a search for something, same thing..

The pictures that I have saved in my computer are there..it's only when I'm using IE.
I recently downloaded software for a printer/scanner/fax machine from the internet which I know I shouldn't do but I had to! and I think I remember seeing somewhere in this forum that this could be my problem?

I've had this problem for about 3 days now. Everything that uses adobe shockwave and flash player isn't working properly. For example, youtube videos load completely, but then they begin to buffer about 30-40 seconds in and never move again. The same goes for any site that uses shockwave for videos/games, etc.

I have the latest shockwave and flash installed on my computer. It happens on all 3 browsers I have (IE, Foxfire, Google Chrome). I cleared all caches. I've run maintenance on my computer, including defrag. Obviously I've restarted it again and again.

Now, I have to add that I've had trojans popping up left and right around the same time this has happened. I use BitDefender Antivirus and apparently they've all either been cleaned or quarantined. I don't know a lot about computers, but I have a feeling that doesn't mean they're gone and it's possible that's where my troubles are coming from. The initial trojans were all in the java deployment cache. I initially thought the problem was with java. Perhaps it's all of them. I don't know.

Also, when the adobe programs first started to slow down I uninstalled them and reinstalled them. I had a lot of trouble reinstalling them. Obviously Google Chrome already has them installed. But it took me quite a few tries for IE and Firefox. Particularly Firefox. I kept getting a message that there was a problem with "side by side configuration". Then a few ho... Read more

Windows XP Pro/IE8/Firefox/Google Chrome browsers

I have previously had Adobe Flash Player installed in past years and had not used it very often and uninstalled it. Now I find I have certain websites that require it for viewing content so I have recently installed Adobe Flash Player 16 along with Adobe Shockwave Player 12.1 which I believe is needed as a plug-in? (Both of these are the latest versions!)

I am using 3 browsers primarily because IE8 no longer displayes content on certain websites correctly, so I go to Firefox or Google Chrome on many occasions.(In actuality, both of these browsers load pages much slower than IE8 even though they still are supporting XP?)

My issue is that even with these new Adobe installations, all three browsers will not recognize the existance of Flash and Shockwave on my desktop and each browser asks me to dowload them to their individual browsers. It doesn't seem realistic that I should do this and override the existing installations so I have not tried this on any of the 3 browsers.

Why are the Adobe instillations on my XP not recognized and how can this issue be addressed and resolved?

Thank you for any assistenance!

Occasionally I need to compare two similar images.

Is there any way to get two pictures on my screen at the same time (split screen, side-by-side).

I'm using Windows Photo Gallery picture viewer in Vista and W7.

If not, using Windows Photo Gallery, is there another free program that will do this.

Maybe I'm not wording it right but I can't find anything addressing this on Google.

I first posted this in http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt-2000-xp/624289-cannot-view-some-colors.html#post5115698, but this seems to be an Office 2000 issue.
I cannot view the text in some images in Word 2000. For example, here's a screen of document in Windows 2000 running Word 2000:
If you look closely, the text shows up as white.
and here's the same document in Windows 2003 running Word 2000:
The strange thing is that when I double clicked on the image, Word converted the image to an editable image where I could edit the text. When I closed the picture window, I could see the text in the image even though some of the lines in the diagram were incomplete. For example:
Any ideas?

I can't seem to to download any files from the internet. The download box appears but freezes at 0% downloaded. My browser is IE7.

Also, when I view a web-page with flash files (be they pictures or videos) they are not displayed.

I previously thought that I might have had a virus but AVG doesn't find anything nor could the computer repair shop that I took my laptop to (previously my e-mail also stopped working which the computer repair shop rectified).

Any help or explanations as to why I can't download or view flash files would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try only once? I mean downloading files from Internet. If so, there could be just some prob with the site or whatsoever...

Hi all,

I am in process of building a gallery.

I have images of various dimension.

I want to view these images using IE.

Few of the images with dimension 500 X 700 or 700 X 800 can be viewed using IE

But images with larger dimension say 1400 , 1600 , 1900, 1200 , 900, 1000. cannot be viewed using IE

They can be viewed only using Windows Picture and Fax viewer.

Please let me know a solution to this.

Thank you

Attn Mod:
This post is an updated post which contain the image of my problem. I am reposting it on IE 9 because my first attempt to upload the image on FF didn't work. The first post of this problem can be deleted because it is a duplicate.

I was trying to fix silverlight and I accidentally disabled an addon(s) on Firefox 24. Now my Yahoo mail won't work. I can't upload pics either. IE works fine, but I need FF to open because it is my default browser.
How do I fix this. Thanks, Kappy

Hi guys, hope you can help. Not sure what information to give: Asus eee 900 netbook, 2g ram. This only happens in Firefox and seems to have gotten worse with FF3. Any ideas or further questions would be really welcome as many sites are unuseable and I don't want to revert to IE.

Thank you in advance

Forgive me if I posted this in the wrong forum... I'm still not entirely sure if this is a Shockwave problem, a browser problem, or an audio problem. I have a feeling it is the latter, but I'm really just confused at the moment.

It all started about a week ago when I was using TinyChat with no problems, when suddenly everything froze and I got kicked out. I wasn't able to get back in since.

Music was working fine, as were games and videos, but recently I have been attempting to play a few Facebook games and Chrome freezes and tells me that Shockwave Flash is unresponsive and asks if I want to close it. Eventually I can just close that window and it's fine, but if I go to any website with a flash based advertisement it does the same thing. Sometimes it gets so bad Chrome crashes.

Foobar and iTunes won't play anything (just freezes when I select a song), and my computer, despite having its volume all the way up, won't play any of the normal Windows sounds.

I tried using Firefox and the same thing happened, except it crashes the whole thing. I haven't tried IE yet but I doubt it will be any different.

I found this http://www.bitconsultants.net/2009/f...desktop-issue/
but I don't have IDT Audio to even uninstall. Could that be the problem?

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash, but it's just the same thing happening.

Is it possible that the sound issue is also messing up Shockwave? I can't even watch YouTube videos without crashing my browser. H... Read more

I signed up here specifically because I could not find the answer to my problem anywhere else and thought I'd give it a shot.

I am in the process of transferring everything from my old computer to a slightly less-old Dell Dimension 2400. On the previous computer, a Dell Dimension 8100, the internet worked fine and I was able to do whatever I needed. I formatted the 2400 and installed WindowsXP Pro, it's activated and working fine.

I share a 4-port Linksys router with my roommate, running a cable from the router, which is in his room, into mine. When took the cable from my old computer (where it was working fine) and put it into the new one I became unable to view the internet. Lookoing through Network Connections at the LAN properties it shows as being connected at 100mps and shows the transfer of information as well as the time, although I am unable to use IE or Firefox to surf the net. Both engines tell me that the webpage is unavailable.

The first time this happened I became frustrated and just hooked the old computer back up, where the internet again worked fine. I also know the router is not at fault because I am on my roommate's computer as I type this.

What do I need to do in order for the newer computer to use the connection? I've tried disabling and then enabling, repairing, etc. I'm not a tech wizard about connection stuff.

Do I have spyware? Is there software I might need for that computer?

Thank you very much for any help.

A:Unable to view the internet despite being connected

Go to Start, Run, type cmd and press Enter. Now type ipconfig and press enter. It should report the IP Address for the Local Area Connection. Let us know what this is. It should be along the lines of This will confirm that the router has given you an IP Address.

I recently had a virus removed from my computer. I have Windows 7. After the virus was removed, I noticed that Internet Explorer was missing.

At the time, I didn't realize that IE 10 is embedded in Windows 7. The virus removal software must have disabled IE.

I went to the Microsoft download site and decided to download IE 11 (pre sale download). I figured that IE 11 would remove any previous version of IE and install IE 11

The download (IE 11) did not download completely !

I went to documents/downloads and double clicked on IE10-Windows 6.1-en-us.exe

That brought me to a User Account Control Box which read: Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer. The box listed:

Program Name: Internet Explorer 10 / Verified Publisher: Microsoft Corporation / File Origin: Downloaded from the internet

I clicked on yes

A box came up which read: Internet Explorer did not finish installing. Setup can't continue because a more recent version of Internet Explorer is installed on your computer.

How do I restore IE 10 to my computer ?

A:Unable to view Internet Explorer

There's a couple of ways that you can try -

First go into Windows Update/Installed updates to see if it's listed.

IE10 isn't embedded in Win 7 and is acquired via Windows Update.

You can right click on it and select Uninstall - this will revert you to whichever version you had before the upgrade and after the reboot, try the download again.

A more robust approach is to go Progs & Features/Turn windows features on or off and uncheck its box, but before you do this - you must have another browser installed as you will lose all access to the Internet as you will have effectively uninstalled IE - but give the first method a go first.

I am having problems viewing internet pages. I am getting this
res://ieframe.dll/dnserror.htm#. Please help I have tried a lot of different things but unable to sove this problem.

A:Unable to view internet page

It appears to be a "dns" resolution error of some kind.

If it is happening on multiple pages, try shutting down and removing the power from both your modem and router (if one is used) for a minute or two, then reboot.

Some folks have also gotten this error from enabling the "phishing filter" so you might try disabling that, and you should also try running IE with no add-ons:

run: iexplore -extoff

Some firewalls and security programs may also be a source of the issue, and you can try testing that theory by booting in Safe Mode with Networking.
Further tests might be logging into or creating a different User Account and testing that. If that works, delete all IE history, cache and cookies in the problem account and retest.
