Hello.
After 6 month, My Lenovo flex 2 15 have a problem in showing the images on screen. Green Color is Strong, and i see the pink color of latest windows when they are opened!
Now i have new windows and this problem staying! and now I can't install driver for nvidia GPU!
This problem born in after restart my Flex 2.

Hi,As soon as I switch my laptop, I can see the desktop top image with pink and fuzzy look. It stared with yellow dull screen at he beginning before the pink color shown up. The screen will be in dull yellow while I open chrome or any white background appllication. The pink clor comes up if I open a video or any other apps without white background. This also come in safe mode. I have done the graphic driver update and see the same problem. Dont know what is the actual reason. Please help me..!!

I need help regarding the pink screen problem I am experiencing recently on my laptop. I see pink in place of white, green in place of black. There is screen image on the screen even after it has beenclosed or minimized- Ghost effect.(Not sure about terminology).External monitor works fine with HDMI.2 years old laptop. No more warranty. I have opened my laptop, unplugged the lcd screen and lcd cable and replugged everything back together hoping it was a lcd inverter or backlight problem. But nothing changed. The cable looked fine without any damage, and the screen looked fine from the inside. Please suggest if is a problem is with lcd cable or lcd digitzer or  something I do not know. I don't see the point of taking the laptop to repair and getting charged 250-300$ where as I can get a decent new laptop for 350-450$. Y50-70 laptop, SN ########, it is still on the warranty then checking the lenovo.com website.
The problem with the screen, pink shades and overlay of images. 
 
But my question is about the warranty service.
I've brought the laptop to the nearest authorised warranty service center in Odessa, Ukraine. Firstly, they accepted a warranty issue and took the laptop. But the next day they called and asked to bring them papers (receipt or warranty card). Unfortunately, as I had bought it in different country and I moved few times since the day of purcase, I can't find these papers. So, the service center returned the laptop and refused to carry a warranty repair, despite the fact it still has an international warranty (it is going to expire in 5 days, btw).
 
What can I do? Is it a normal practice everywhere, or only in Ukraine? Honestly, I become really dissappointed with Lenovo products and service...

Contact the place where you bought it if they can provide the purchase confirmation.How was it registered for warranty then without a receipt? If no receipt it defaults to the build date of the notebook.You will have to talk to a customer service manager or service manager. But if they insist on the receipt that you never provided in the first place then it becomes your problem I'd say. The build date is used and if that has passed you likely out of luck.Lenovo is very tough and will take any opportunity to void the warranty.

Hello, I recently purchased Lenovo Flex 5 (14") laptop (Part Number:  80XA0011US). This comes with 16.0GB DDR4 2133 MHz and 1TB 5400 RPM+128GB PCIe SSD.  I have 3 questions: 1) I am hoping I like the laptop. If for some reason, I want to return it, how many days I have? I bought a Lenovo Flex 5 14" and at first really enjoyed the product, but it quickly had screen flickering issues. Thankfully, it was still in warranty, so I shipped it back and the LCD was replaced. However, the testing must not have been very rigorous at all because after a while, it still has the same flickering issue. The root cause analysis was incomplete, the problem was not completely fixed, and now my device is out of warranty. I tried to contact Lenovo months back, but because my device was out of warranty, I couldn't get through. Now I really need to use this laptop again and it is basically useless without an external monitor. I am very disatisfied with the level of service received.

Hello, I have had my Lenovo Flex 4-1470 laptop for about half a year now, have always taken careful precaution when carrying it, etc. Recently, Upon touching the touchscreen on the right side and bottom of the screen, I am experiencing these "ghost" or "phantom" touches where I touch that part of the screen and it presses on a random part of the screen. The middle and left sides of the screen do not seem to be affected, however, the top of the screen seems to refuse to calibrate to my finger correctly despite calibrating the screen many times. I have updated the touchscreen driver to find that I already have the best and newest version so that cannot be my issue. I have seen that this was a common issue on the Yoga 3-14, and that there was a firmware fix to this... So far the only "fix" I have seen to this issue is disabling the touchscreen altogether, but I bought this laptop specifically for the touchscreen capabilities. I have not physically damaged the laptop, so I am curious on why this is happening.  Is there a firmware fix or something to that extent or will I have to send the laptop to Lenovo and get it repaired? Any Help would be appreciated --Kaitlyn

I have serious ghost images and a thin horizontal line on the screen.Below the line the ghost image shows and the screen is darker and aboe the line the screen behaves normally.On the line there is a small light visible when a mouse moves over it.. There is also a strange light at the bottom right and left corners. I have tried to update the drivers from both intel and miscrosoft and this has not helped.

Bought my laptop and 6 months using it not much the screen has a pink colour and I can see documents that a behind the main one (transparency ). So as a heads up for anyone else that might be encountering either of these issues - I called support just now and I'm sending it off for repair.  Bit of a bummer since this is my work machine (thankfully I have my t500 from college still kicking around to use in the meantime). Tech support was really nice and quick. Didn't make me walk through the diagnostics/troubleshooting I'd already done which is refreshing. Hopefully this is just a fluke because apart from these issues I really like this machine (and as I said, my thinkpad is rock solid.)

just as my title says when I go to open images... any and all on 3 different programs
the pictures come up but they are shaded pink, heavy pink.

the image is still viewable but I have no idea where or how the pink came along, if anyone has encountered this that can shed some insight it would be appreciated

I was thinking video driver but they are up to date from the website

2 days ago, I noticed my display was flickering with a thin vertical stripe on the right third of the screen and a pink/green 1 inch band at the bottom screen that flickers. (I have had this laptop for about 2 1/2 months). I have updated all recommended drivers, followed the tips on deleting display driver software and updating, uninstalled some game apps and any that appeared to have installed (3D builder) just prior to the issue. I uninstalled some of the games and reinstalled a few. I do not have Norton, icloud or IDT apps on the laptop that are listed as potential conflicts with Windows 10. I am still under warranty. Is there anything else I can try or do I send it back to Lenovo?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
 
You can try to check if you have the same flickering line when connected to an external monitor.
Compare it when you start your computer in the BIOS if the flickering line is visible.
 
To go to the BIOS , shut down the machine and use the novo button (item 2 page 11) for the Novo button and choose BIOS set up option taking note of the issue on each screen. 
 
If the line shows in the Novo menu or BIOS and not in the external then it most probable be the LCD screen/ cable.
Call in technical support so you can discuss the action plan to proceed.

There is another possibility, does your machine have a dedicated GPU? if so the the HDMI would display correctly.
 
also it could be the display itself that is failing, not just the cable.

Hello All, My Flex 4-1580 just got back from the Lenovo Repair Center, where they fixed the backlight and the microphone. Thrilled, I opened it up and proceeded to play games on it for a few hours, then closed the laptop. When I come back and open it up, the top of the screen is cracked and the touch is permanantly clicking at the top of the page. Upon further investigation, I noticed that the screen case was not properly reinstalled, as there are gaps that did not exist before I sent the laptop to Lenovo. I want to know if this repair is covered by my original Lenovo Manufacturer's Warranty, as I have a third-party warranty that explicitly covers ADH repairs. I would assume that Lenovo would cover it, as the damage here was caused by their oversight, but I wanted to make sure. I'm going to call their customer service number when it opens tomorrow. Reply if you'd like an update with how it goes!

I want to know the warrant policy regarding the following issues:
I have a Lenovo Flex 2-14 laptop.
Will my warranty be void, if:
1. I upgrade my RAM to 12GB by making use of the two provided slots. 4 Gb Ram the implicit one and adding another 8 Gb Ram.
2. If I dual boot my laptop with Ubuntu Os.

As a general rule, CRU (customer replaceable parts ) will not void the warranty as listed from the hardware manual . However most upgrades on this model shows that such are considered FRU (field replaceable unit) , meaning you would have to open up additional parts and might require skill and specific tools thus CRU ID is N. (item6 page 72 ).
 
1. Upgrading your RAM however would not void any warranty.
We had same issue discussed on this thread . 
On quotes: " Similar to this query is this case  for the Z500 replacement of optical drive which is also a CRU Id - N and this thread.

Hello!I received my laptop as requested in excellent shape. Two days ago, I smelt burning plastic coming out of the machine and it no longer comes on. I registered for my warranty and have more than 200 days left.Thing is, I'm in school out of the US and want it fixed and looked at.  What do I do?Please help. Several things can cause video problems, you can try running "SFC /SCANNOW" to check your file system.  Right click the command prompt run as administrator then type in the command above.  It will scan and replace corrupted files, you can also try down loading the latest drivers.  It may turn out to be a hardware problem one never knows.

Hello everyone, I am flex 2 pro 15 user, and today I got so called "Ghost touch " problem.  As a temporary solution i disabled touchscreen on my display, but I don't know what to do to actually solve this issue.   I had a look to similar problems from other users, and the solution was to update the driver, but I already have the latest driver. I am using windows 10 OS. Those circles appear in the corner of my display, and I can't solve this issue. I tried with restarting/updating... Any ideas for solution?  I still do have warranty for my product, and I live in Brussels, so I guess last solution would be to take it for repair. Thanks in advance,Nikola

However for my case the touch panel firmware doesn't work (it doesn't finish the installation...). The message is: "Your Yoga 3_14 LCD touch panel is not at risk and does not require this download." Of course, my Lenovo is not a Yoga...
 
My question: Is there a touch panel firmware update for my Lenovo model? The problem is really annoying, the image quality of everything dropped a lot...

I am currently using a Lenovo Flex 3 1470 and the keyboard for it stopped working and now I can't type any numbers or activate any function keys. I have spilled tea on my laptop and got it wet in the past so I am now looking to get my keyboard replaced.  I have managed to find some Flex 2 14 inch US keyboards on eBay for less than $20 that look exactly the same as the one on my laptop, but I can't be certain unless someone confirms.  Are the 2 keyboards the same?

This may be a simple (possibly dumb) question. I have several WIM images from our previous use of windows deployment services. However, we now use Symantec Ghost and the Ghost console for our imaging. I was wondering, will Ghost image the PCs via the .wim files I already have, or do I need to convert them to .gho? I am trying to create and deploy images (winXP) using a Corsair Flash Voyager 8gb flash drive, I am using Ghost version 8.3 could use some help on getting this drive to accept and deploy images, this was done before using the same drives but were completely formatted by a disgruntled "former" employee.

I have no problem getting the machine "syspreped" and the machines do in fact pick up the USB drive as a startup option.

We had an individual who was able do do the whole process using a flash drive, once the machine was syspreped, it was shutdown and restarted and after selecting the USB drive at startup you could pull the image to the USB drive and deploy it to any machine.

At work I use a Gateway (sorry, don't know model) with WinXP Pro. I've got 'ghost' images of any open windows. I've tried two of our crt monitors and today plugged in a brand new LG flatscreen that I tested at home, so I know it's OK, but I'm still getting the ghosts. Any ideas? I'm getting headaches from all this!

I have a 1.65 GB Ghost image and I'd like to burn that to a CD-R but obviously, it will not fit. How do I go about spanning it onto multiple CD-R's? I am using Ghost Enterprise 7.5. Thanks!

If you record it directly to the CD, it'll span itself. OTOH, you can also tell it to split it into whatever size chunks you like and record them individually from disk.

Does anyone know how I can delete a ghost image. I think the kill app for gnome on linux did something similar, though I may be wrong. The type that is left over when you right click the taskbar clock for instance, and something like 'Start Task Manager' is left. Logging out to get rid of it is a pain.

I am encountering a minor aggravation..............This problem is common to all programs,when working say with word on monitor one, I will see ghost images of word on monitor two and parts of the image will flash across monitor one.
Has anyone experienced this problem and were you able to resolve it and if so how ???
Any help will be appreciated.

hi,refresh rate should be same on both monitors,try moving monitors away from each other,could be cable?

My HD crapped out on me so I bought a new one. My brother gave me a copy of Windows Black for my new OS, so I installed it. Everything was running smooth, (installing drivers, hardware and such) until I DL'ed Steam. I noticed a weird box on my screen. I'd scroll up or down and it would multiply. "Oh great" I thought. Un-installed Steam then re-installed my video card. Back to normal. Re-installed steam, same problem. GRRRRR
Finally gave up on Steam and just started browsing for other software to get. Out of nowhere the boxes show up again, so I know it's not a Steam problem. Maybe a video card problem? Maybe a Windows Black bug? I have no idea, but this is what I see on my desktop.

A:ghost images on desktop

1. I have reinstalled Nvidia drivers and DirectX
2. GPU is not overheating and is working properly
3. Ran AVG and no threats came up
The only thing I can think of is my OS. Maybe I can find a patch for this bug?
