Moto G5 battery draining fast. Android system using over 30% and turbo power not working

Q: Moto G5 battery draining fast. Android system using over 30% and turbo power not working

For over a month i've been having trouble with my Moto G5Battery is being drained a lot by the android system and all of the extra's. i've added a screenshot so you could see.Now it's only 23%. cause i've been using it a lot today. But i've seen it at 38% at it's peak. And i've read that anything over the 10% is out of the ordinary...As the other android system is mostly over 10% as well. On top of that my turbo power is not working. even if i get it to work. it only does so for about 1min to switch back to regular charging. So it sometimes takes up to 9 hours (as u can see in the screenshot) to charge my phone and a lot less to drain it. making me have to charge it more than twice a day.. I've read other topics about letting your phone drain out and charge it while turned off. Clearing cache and all the others. nothing seems to work. The worst thing is that the device is not even a year old.anyone has any suggestions?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A:Netbook Battery Draining Fast

Batteries lose their ability to hold a charge over time.  My laptop is 2.5 years old, and I just started getting a notice that it now only has 40% of its original ability to hold a charge.  Windows 7 has the ability to do this I learned.  I just timed it last night, and after an hour even it was down to something like 23%.  If your netbook's over 2 years old, what you're seeing is par for the course.  I checked prices for mine and they vary all over the place with Amazon having them as low as $20, Micro Center having them for around $50, and Toshiba (my laptop's brand) for $75.  I'm sure the Toshiba ones are good, but I'm sure giving serious consideration to one of those Amazon ones that're so much cheaper.  I'm still researching this one.

Good luck.

Hi ankit21,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

Can you try Manually resetting  the battery out.
Boot the System into BIOS by hitting F2 when you power ON the computer.
Now stay in BIOS and let the computer run with Only the Battery in that mode.
Let the computer turn OFF By itself due to battery power loss.
Now Let the computer OFF and charge the computer with the AC adapter.
Power ON the computer and Let it charge to a 100% then Observe if that resolves the Issue.

Hope this helps
Cheers!

A:laptop batter draining too fast??

batteries over time will lose the ability to hold charges as long as they did when new.

Most importantly, the more stuff running, the greater the load on the laptop and the faster the battery will drain.

To see what I mean - turn the computer on and leave it on but don't do anything, now recharge the battery and play a high intensity game until the battery dies. The laptop will not run as long in the second senerio. The themes would be a mild version of this.

I have the brand new Spectre x360 and I keep it plugged in all day while using it, then every night I turn it off, and unplug it. At that point it had 100% charge. When I turn it back on in the morning, I notice that the battery has drained, usually down to around 80-90%. What is draining it? I tried turning off Windows "fast startup", but that did not change anything.  I do have a Logitech USB receiver for my mouse and keyboard plugged into the standard USB port, could it be that? Perhaps the HP "sleep and charge" feature is letting that thing draw power overnight? If so, is there a way to disable that feature? Or, perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I have the laptop in tablet mode, on a stand.  Maybe the camera/infrared on the front are active somehow? I also usually leave cord plugged into the USB Type-C ports, 1 for the power cord and 1 for a monitor, but I always have them unplugged from both the wall and the monitor, so I don't think it can be those. Any thoughts would be appreciated...in the meantime I'll try to test it tonight, by unplugging the USB receiver and/or closing the laptop, to see if that changes anything...

Hello everyone.  First time on the forums and I hope someone can help me out with this so here it goes... I'm using a T500 which is almost brand new and I've noticed that my battery is draining too quickly.  I know this because I have owned other Thinkpads before (T60, T61p, R61, etc.) and this is the worst on battery life.  I have a 9-cell battery in currently with 80.10Wh at full capacity and I don't get more than 2.5 hours out of one full charge.  I had this same 9-cell battery in my older T60 and I was easily able to pull 6 hours of battery life.  I have my power manager set to 'Optimized' and dimmed the screen almost all the way.  What could I be missing here?  I'm running Windows 7 Pro if it makes any difference. Thanks for any of your inputs.

Hi,

All of a sudden my laptop battery seems to be draining very quickly.

From fully charged to dead in 20-30 mins. It also seems to charge 'fully' in a very short time.

Is there some sort of process running things down or is the battery just too old and worn out?

Im running Windows 10 64 bit. Toshiba Satellite L775.

I did the attached battery diagnostic via commad prompt if this helps...

Any advice, much appreciated.

Thanks

A:Laptop battery draining

The report says the battery charges to about 18% of it's capacity when new, so it's nearly worn out. This is consistent with the behaviour you mentioned. Unfortunately the only cure is a new battery.

I normal circumstances when laptop is on battery with screen off (working on idle) there should be no quick battery drain, rather it should last more when idle

my Yoga3 is opposite - when screen off, some processes definitely are running - at least I can hear fan noise then as well as rainmeter shows high cpu use when i i press any key to turn on the screen

is there any way to check what/which process is using then?

Hi,
I have a dell Inspiron 5559 Core i7 6500U 2.5GHz laptop. I lost my dell original charger then I bought a charger from a local store. I'm from Sri Lanka and unfortunately there is no Dell Store here. So many local retailers are saying that "WE ARE THE OFFICIAL DELL PARTNERS" but I believe none of them are authorised dealers. The reason I said that is that's why I bought the charger from a local store.

That salesman ensure this is the correct charger for my system but after few weeks I realise my battery life is decreasing faster than before. Very recently I have replaced my Ram with Kingston HyperX 16GB kit. (8GB Ram came with the system) I noticed that battery draining was after this Ram replacement. I'm not sure which one is the reason for battery draining. But Dell Power Management application shows " Battery Status: fair" ..
My Question is what should I do? As I said there is no original part distributor in Sri Lanka as far as I know. I have checked the Dell official website but it says they have been discontinued supplying the relevant battery module which is suits for my laptop.
1. Is there any way I can purchase a one in online?
2. Even if I bought a new battery would that charger will effect in a negative way for the new battery as well?
Help me I'm lost

Hi guys! Just recently got a Surface Pro 3 from eBay (Mint condition). It doesn't have more than 24 hours with me. Today I decided to test it for real.

To my surprise, it's been only an hour and a half and the Surface already dropped to 36%. I have done all sorts of analysis but can't find the real culprit... Is it a failing battery, then?

Cycle count is high, but nothing to worry about. According to the Surface Pro team:

What is the typical battery life (cycles) for a Surface Pro 3? - Windows Central Forums

?The batteries on our Surface products are designed with some of the highest charge cycles for consumer electronic devices. This means that the battery can get charged daily (5 days a week) for over 4.5 years and still maintain 80% capacity.? So you should be good to go for a very long time.

There shouldn't be a problem with the number of cycles. In fact, if we do the math:

(261 days per year @ 5 days per week) * 4.5 = 1,174.5 cycles for 80%.

A:Failing battery or draining issues?

If it has only been used for 24hrs why does it have 370 cycles for the battery?

Hi all,
I have a question about a little problem im having with my laptop. It is that somtimes when i am on A/C power, the computer will stop charging my battery when not full and drain it down without re charging it. I know this sounds strange but it would happen. For instance i could be off of A/C for a while doing somthing where the pc is running on battery and the system would run fine. Then i would reconnect and the system appears normal, it would start charging up. Then without warning, the system will stop charging. It does recognize A/C power flowing to it as the light for A/C connection is lit but the amber lamp indicating the charging battery would go out. In windows it would say it is fully charged on the sidebar utility and if i hover the battery icon it would say that the computer is plugged in but not charging. This would typically happen after running it by entering and resuming from hibernate for a while. The strange part is that if the pc is off or not in windows it would charge up fine. Usually that is how i need to let it charge again as a reboot would set things straight. Also i beleive when i put it in standby it starts the problem as well but i am not sure. I would like to know whether it is windows acting up on my pc or if my battery is just going south. I have attacked the problem from software by doing things like running sfc /scannow, resetting the bios to factory config (via an option in setup), I have tried running the system down while it was in a...
