Intune - Intune Clients to be managed also by SCCM

Q: Intune - Intune Clients to be managed also by SCCM

Hi Team,
We enabled Co-management (SCCM/Intune) and we are now planning to manage all AutoPilot Win 10 machines under SCCM also.
Kindly please clarify the blow.

1. What is the minimum requirement to achieve this?
- On-Prem Requirement?
- Azure/Intune Requirement?
2. Do we need CMG for this requirement?
3. Can a CMG also act as Content repository for internet clients (CDP)?
3. Do we need Intune AD connector?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Q: InTune

In the process of installing Hybrid AD devices on InTune. Whilst we have now got devices on InTune we have problems as both the InTune GPO and local AD GPO are applied. Obviously when device off-site errors are produced when a local GPO applied.

Hi there, We are moving to Autopilot and wondering what should we do with drivers for our Lenovo devices. Looks like Windows 10 comes with most drivers. However, they are not up to date. In SCCM, we build, test and deploy driver packages everytime Lenovo release it. How do we do it with Intune Autopilot? Thanks.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with Intune (ConfigMgr) on-premises with securering application and VDI-solutions such as Citrix and VMWare? I would love to hear about it! If not; what are the possibillities?

This is an enviourment with a lot of non-domain-joined devices, so they just have a catalog or a database with users and passwords.

Question: Can anyone here provide any review or thoughts on Microsofts Intune Endpoint Protection?
Hi, I'm in charge of maintaing our network and we currently use ESET Endpoint Antivirus as our protection which I currently have no issues with. My boss proposed a new solution from Microsoft called Intune which offers the ability to manage, rollout software, Intune Endpoint protection and the ability to upgrade/standardized latest version of Windows OS without paying extra. Think of it more as a package deal and yes there are way more incentives that makes Microsoft Intune an attractive deal.
Now without writing anymore about the software, I'm concerned about the embedded Intune Endpoint Protection because once our ESET license is over, our company is looking to not renew with ESET but to keep Intune protection in place... I've searched and searched and my problem with the product is that there are not many articles reviewing the product. I brought this up to the company that wants to sell/help us roll out this solution but obviously he believes its the next best thing since slice bread. He said there were multiple cases where a company had Kaspersky and ESET on their machines and after installing Intune,  I came across a few articles that said Intune Endpoint protection is nothing more than a cloud based version of Microsoft Security Essentials which the gentlemen denied. I have used Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Defender on friends PC's w... Read more

When System Center Configuration Manager is used to manage/push updates out to clients, the SCCM agent takes over control of the Windows Updates process so that when you manually initiate Windows Updates, the machine will check against the SCCM server,
rather than the online Microsoft update servers. When you have the option for Internet Explorer 11 to Install new versions automatically selected, will IE check for updates on the SCCM server, or will it check against the online Microsoft update servers?

I have been banging my head on the keyboard for three weeks with this one.
I built a 2008 R2 server with SCCM 2012 on it, connecting to a SQL 2008 server. They talk fine with each other.
SCCM has the boundary and boundary groups set up. I have ad discovery (tried with and without subnets) and those work.
Auto installing the client upon discovery works.
The clients find their MP and know their site code. All clients show approved (automatically) in the console - mpcontrol log lists 200 OK

The logs show that they prepare their scheduled eval and send it. When I initiate a hardware policy update, I can netstat and see the connection on various ports to the server
I ran wireshark (OPNET) and initiated a reinstall and can see communication between the client and the server and the server and the sql server.
Everything seems to work correctly, I find some errors in the logs, but nothing that jumps out as the cause.
The problem is all clients have components listed as not installed and only machine and user policy retrieval listed.
In the console, the clients show Client Check - no results, nothing under Hardware or Software scan
I have research THOROUGHLY on the internet on all logs as well as the issue I just described, tried a million things, redoing webdav, ccmclean, etc)
Any thoughts - they would be greatly appreciated!

The client contact email is from another email address ([email protected]) that can be pop and smtp access, but it is so large, I will not download all emails from that email address, cause me 1.5 G space

I have a gmail email address, I want to forward this client email to my gmail email account.

Gmail (POP3): pop.gmail.com; (SMTP):smtp.gmail.com

So, [email protected] I click the email in [email protected] then forward to [email protected]

If I have a new client email, I should see all emails from and to this client, how to create a "search folder" to search email that apply for this client in Outlook folder?

Outlook provide a library with 13 "search folders"
I can "create user define search folder"

Outlook File/New/search folder
In "search folder", roll down to "user define", click "create user define search file folder"
Input name of the "search folder", because the position title is "Client 1234", so input "Client 1234" in this textbox.

Click "conditions"

In "search folder", click "mail" option, input "Client Mail.56" in "search text" textbox.

So, I ask the Client to send all his email to [email protected]
So, I also can forward all this client's email to [email protected] and input Client Mail.56 in any emails about this position.

In "location" drop down list, choose "on... Read more

A:How Can I Use Ms Outlook Contacts Track Clients Emails And Clients Information?

So, I ask the Client to send all his email to [email protected]
So, I also can forward (but waste time) all this client's email to [email protected] and
input Client Mail.56 in any emails about this position.

I will create a folder in Outlook email, business and personal
Then seperate the emails to these 2 email folders.
Then I add each contact to Outlook, group them to same company first, then make folders, business and personal contact folders.

For each client activity, use Project Software to manage the activity.
I also can create links in Outlook, link emails, appointments, tasks, documents and others to Contact.
So I must Forward email to Gmail address or other Pop email address, then use Pop to download to Outlook, but when I open the email, I can not find "Action/Link" button in the "Action" Tab, I need to save this email to a folder, and from Contact Tab, link this file?
In Contact Tab, every documents can link to Contact, click "Action/Link", choose file.
But I need to better organize my documents, I search Google Directory, directory.google.com for the file content, use google directory as my file directory, save them in the correct folder.
Then link to Outlook Contact, then in Contact Tab/Activities/, there have a field title (folder name), folder location: diary

If I group many messges in folders, 100 clients have 100 folders, too confuse!

Is this right?

I must use project to manage all activities about the client?

ok so i got a new computer and im running windows 10. this new computer has a 1tb sshd. see now my old laptop had a standard 75K rpm 1tb with a separate cache 32gb SSD. so that was handling the speed. but this laptop i also have a 32gb SSD but its using as storage atm, but the computer is actually fast without it for some reason. well i have great specs but still its like the cache drive was on. but i hear that SSHD are similar to my old setup but its all in one drive, better known as hybrid drive. Both SSD and HDD in one. but my main question isi dont see the ssd partition of the drive and was wondering does it manage things on its own ot do i still need some kind of Cacheing setup?

A:does SSHD work all on its own (self managed?)

Seagate sshd all of its own.
the firmware detects what files you open more often and put them on the ssd part.

At the top of the Windows update page there is a red line stating "Some settings are managed by your organization".

There *IS NO* organization managing this device! This is MY computer, there is no domain it belongs to, *I* own it, *I* manage it, *I* am the only "Administrator" on this device and no-one else has a say here (modulo Microsoft and any potential virus....), so what is this BS-message trying to convey to me?

A:Some settings are managed by your organisation

Hello, usually this rather confusing message means you - or a program- has changed some settings.

Changing certain Privacy settings can do this, or using programs like
Spybot Anti-Beacon
O&O ShutUp10

If you search this forum (search box at the top) for
"Some settings are managed by your organization"
you will find a good number of threads.

Amongst those already solved you will probably find sthg to help you.
(Searching can be good for you!)

I tried several different forums in which people said to turn telephony off and do different things with the GPO (which I do not have) but I cannot figure out how to eliminate that message.

Hello Everyone!

I have a question that I think this group will be best suited to answer. I manage a few small office networks, most of which already have Anti-Virus or Internet Security subscriptions through Norton or McAfee. I am looking to renew / update some of these locations and would like some opinions of managed AV software. I have heard good things about OfficeScan by TrendMicro, but have never used it in a production environment so I am a little hesitant. What is the best solution out on the market that will produce the least impact on the system performance, and what is easy to mange?

Norton? Pros / Cons
McAfee? Pros / Cons
Trend Micro Office Scan? Pros / Cons
Other recommendations?

Thanks so much!!
Marc Vasquez

A:Best Managed AV / Internet Security?

Norton and McAfee are memory hogs, I've never liked them since the time I tried them out a year ago. I am a guy who goes through many anti-malware programs all the time and tries to stay up to date with whats staying on the top. Are you wanting a AV program that costs money or a free program? Free I would recommend Avast. If you are going to pay for one I'd go with Zonealarm security suite. I have been using Zonealarm for quite a while now, it has anti-virus, anti-spyware and everything built in as well as a firewall. My computer hasn't had any nasty infections in a year or so. I personally think Zonealarm is easy to setup to update and get everything going smooth, it doesn't bog my computer down much at all.

I have a question for all you IT Pros out there who do this type of work for a living. How many systems do you administer and how many employees do you work with in the IT position? In other words, how many IT people work where you work?

I work for a medical company and have so for 8 years. I have to manage 43 computers, 5 LAN's and 2 VPN's. My problem is, I also do all the purchasing, receiving and basic maintenance for this company, as well as stairglide installations, scooter repair, forms creation etc. It's starting to get a little overwhelming. I work pretty much 7 days a week, and I want to talk my boss into hiring me an assistant. I figured I would see how other companies handle the IT area. I bought a new managed switch (ZyXel gs1910-24), and can' get windows 7 machines to connect to it. XP Machines seem to connect OK, and the switch gives it an ip address and allows the computer to access the web interface. But when I connect on machines with Windows 7, it doesn't seem to allocate an ip address (according to ipconfig), although the connection light on the switch is solid.

I'm kinda new to managed switches - in the past I've just used routers and dumb switches. Is there some quirk I should be aware of?

A:Connecting to managed switch on win 7

You're explanation of what is going on with your situation is very confusing.

I don't know how the switch is assigning IP addresses to your XP machines as it does not have a DHCP server built in.

Why are you using a smart switch anyways?

I use restore points on my Windows XP Pro machine. They have saved my bacon many 'a many times (mostly from my own self - but a few times from those from the outside.)

Since the creation of a restore point is generally automatic, and can consume MBs all over the drive; I'd like to know how to manage them better.

I know I can disable the capability - which will remove all restore points; but I'd prefer to remove only those from a specified date and older.

I've not yet figured that out.

Hopefully one of you clever people will be able to help me as I am lost!!

I today used my recovery disk to try and repair my copy of XP which I have had to do several times since owning this laptop as it seems to be the most unstable PC I have ever owned. I put in the disk but was not given the option as I usually am to repair, it went straight into upgrading my current version, which seemed wrong but I was not given any other option.

The recovery went fine until I got to the stage of registering with Microsoft (which I don?t think I normally have to do when repairing?), this failed. So I used the telephone service which told me I was trying to install my copy of XP on more than one PC, which I am not?

So I decided that the installation must have gone wrong, so tried the recovery CD again. This time I was given the option to repair which I did but was then asked which installation of XP I would like to repair? so I now know the problem is that I have two installations on the same PC, but don?t have a clue how to solve it?

Can anyone give me any advice on how to fix this? Can I delete the second installation and then repair the original one?

Any advice at all would be really appreciated as the clock is ticking on my 1 day to register, and I don?t know how to revert to the first installation?

A:Help... Think i have managed to install windows twice!

If you have your data backed up, your best bet at this point is a clean install. . to do that, enter BIOS ( Setup ) and set the first boot device as CD/ROM. Put your XP Disc in the drive and disconnect all external peripherals except the monitor, keyboard and mouse, and be sure those are not USB, or wireless. Any internal USB card should also be removed.

If you are using an upgrade version installation CD, you'll also need a CD with an older operating system ( Windows 98SE or Windows ME ) to complete the install. Also Make sure you have the 25-digit product code for the Windows XP CD.

Once you set your BIOS to boot first from cd . . when it restarts you will see a black screen with a prompt "Press any key to boot from CD" . . do that and you will be able to delete any or all partitions and recreate one or more, then proceed to formating and installing XP.

That message can pass quickly, so have a finger on the keyboard when you boot. This will delete all data on the drive so be sure you have your important data backed up. The prompt will appear after every reboot, but do not press any key on subsequent reboots. The setup process will continue with no action required from you.

If you do not get that message, and if you have another optical drive, try the XP CD in the other drive.

If you are installing on SATA drive, there is an additional step:

Hi, welcome to TSF.

Tap F8 when the computer is booting.
Choose "Safe Mode with a command prompt".
Log in as administrator.
At the prompt - type %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe.
Follow the instructions on screen.

I was in somewhere I wasn't supposed to be and managed to change from 133mhz to 100mhz. what did I do? How do I change it back(my computer knowledge is limited to some extent). Any and all help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You must have been in the CMOS settings. Do you remember going there and which key you used at boot (usually F1 or Del) ?

Just installed a Windows 10 Pro through VLSC with all the updates. I am the only user with admin priviledges.

The problem is I cannot find/turn on Windows Spotlight feature, instead I get the above message. I also have this message at start menu settings.

What I've tried already

-turning on sending full diagnostic data to Microsoft

- all related setting in gpedit.msc are set to non-configured

- turned off avast

-ran scannow /sfc
So what now? If I am the "organization" why can't I "manage" those "some settings" ...its crazy:-(
