I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I am restating the expired thread at http://forums.techguy.org/business-applications/1053347-solved-excel-email-notification-when.html.

I have used the exact same code at the thread above but am not having any luck receiving emails. I have the code in each worksheet and the macro in the workbook. When I make a change to the workbook and save nothing happens. Any suggestions as I would love to get this function working.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi guys, new users here!

I have an existing work book containing 4 tabs all with multiple columns.
The information contained within this workbook is a maintenance schedule for repairs on air conditioning for a few thousand different sites.
The cells in question simply contain a "1" in the relevant month column as to when the maintanence is due.

I currently use very basic conditional formatting to change the colours of the cells if the maintenance is due this month, overdue last month, or a warning if a maintenance is a week away from being due.

(NOTE: I'll refer to the maintenances as PPM's)

It has become imperitive that I find a better way to track overdue PPM's, my director has asked if there is a way we can send an email notification (just to one person if needs be) if the date in the cell has become overdue / due that day.

I have very little experience with VBA but I have played around with Python and Java so programming isnt completely new to myself.

Anyone that can provide any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Regards,

Tom

Hi all,

I have an excel file from which I want notifications to be sent to a particular email address. I have seen several threads which are related to mine however I could not manage to do it. I am new to this stuff and need your help to explain the coding.

I have 2 columns (in red in the attached file) and I want a notification to be sent via outlook if the expiry is due within 2 months, 1 month and on the day as a reminder.

Another query I have is that this excel sheet will be used by multiple users. Will the notifications be sent each time a user will use this sheet?

Your help is much appeciated.

Hi,
I am at a company where items get checked in and out. Nothing has an exact due date but people report when they expect to have their item returned. I would like to notify these people by email:
1. When their item is within seven days of the expected due date
2. When it is past their expected due date

I have Microsoft Office for email so I know it is possible to send an email everytime the document is opened, but I'm lacking a bit in the coding field.

I have attached an example file. Any help would be appreciated.

For the past 4 to 5 months I have been using the attached spreadsheet that I created to send out email notifications manual. I would open the spreadsheet daily and send the appropriate email, by clicking on the button, when the due date condition was red. This has been working great so far. Now I would like to be able to send these emails automatically instead of spending time looking through the spreadsheet to find the notices that are due and avoid missing ones also.
I realize that the worksheet must be open to accomplish this automatic send but this is not a problem since I use this spreadsheet almost daily.
I need help in making his spreadsheet as automatic email friendly as possible.

Using Excel 2007 & Outlook

Thanks in advance.

Basically, I have created a very simple Excel spreadsheet as an example, but what I would like to do is the following:

I have several employees (100 +/-) that require training in various fields. Each training certification is good for 1-yr. I am trying to figure a way for Excel to automatically send an email to my Microsoft Outlook whenever that training date is set to expire. I would like to have it email me 30-days before it expires. The problem is that I don't record and notate it by the date the training expires, but rather by the date they were trained. An example would be that I trained someone on 5-3-13 and they will be expiring 30-days from now. I have it entered on the spreadsheet as 5-3-13. How can I make Excel automatically generate an email warning me of the upcoming expiration date? I am admittedly not very proficient in computer language, but I am more than willing to learn.

A:Send email notification from Excel/Access Database to Outlook

Have you looked at the "sendObject" method?

DoCmd.SendObject , , , "YourEMAIL", , , "TEST"

Leave the Object name /format blank and you can send without attachement, you can do with a macro or VBA....this is from Access only, if you need Excel let me know, it is different.

Not clear on how you want to trigger, because essentially the UPDATE, should be the trigger, but you mention same time everyday...that may not be relevant because what ever action does the update maybe able to trigger the send.

I also use this to get around Outlook security...

Just throwing some ideas out there, but is there a chance that you do have something that does in fact check for emails on a scheduled time? If so, then post back for additional.

I would be grateful if someone could explain if or how I can receive notification when emails arrive. I use an email client (eM Client) and if it is open I do get notification of the arrival of emails in both of my email accounts (GMX & Gmail).
However, when eM Client is closed I do not receive notification. Is this a matter to be dealt with in eM Client itself of can I get Windows 10 to notify me? Hmmm.   I'm in Win 7 right now, so I can't check instantly.   HERE,  I go to the Control Panel, to Hardware and Sound, to Sound, to Change System Sounds, and somewhere along the line I see "New mail notification."  Which is apparently essential to producing music, or some sort of BLEEPppppp! on my system ninety-eleven times per day.

I gotta admit, I'm an inferior person, a nonentity, a mere semblance of a real human being.  I just don't pay a whole lot of attention to the sounds that come out of my computer unless I'm watching a video or something.

I'm not the guy  to solve your problem, you understand.  However, I'm very fond on poking at things.  So.  Click your mouse on "new mail notification" (or anything else if that one's missing) and then go down about an inch and click on "Test."

Was there a sound?  If not, pick something else ("Critical stop" is probably a good one) and see if that can make a sound.  If everything seems dead, go back up an inch or so to "Sound Scheme" and change what you've got to something else -- it's been my experience that the default Windows sound for most events is silence, so maybe you'll find something interesting.

Failing that ... click on the speaker icon on the bottom right of your monitor, see what the volume level is for "System Sounds."

You're hearing sounds from other things, right?   It's just the email that b... Read more

I have read the threads for auto-emails based on cell changes but they all appear to releate to date changes or formula changes. I am trying to accomplish the following on the attached file:

**If any change is made in the drop down list in Column "J" (and every time) an e-mail is automatically generated (but not sent) to the e-mail address in Column "M" of the corresponding row that a change was made in Column "J".

**E-mail "subject" to readl: "value in Column "C" of corresponding row of change" - loan doc request status changed to "value in Column "J" of corresponding row change"

**Then be able to modify the body of the e-mail, as needed, and click to send.

**If possible it would be nice if none of the above happened if Column "E" = "Consumer Credit"

It seems to have started after updating Opera to it's latest version...at least I never saw this happen previously. If I select this website, or any other from SpeedDial, it displays the website normally. But if I select a email notification link, it takes me to the appropriate location, but not logged in as it should, and the favicon is something that I don't recognize, as can be seen below. What is going haywire, and how can I fix it?

EDIT: Even after logging in, the favicon doesn't return to it's usual design.

A:Email Notification Links

The favicon on the tab on the right is a private browsing icon. Right click the tab bar, and the 2nd choice is New private tab, and you'll see that icon.

Somehow your email notifications are opening in a private tab. Try this, open IE and make it the default browser.

Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options. Click the Programs tab, and then click Make default. Click OK, and then close Internet Explorer.

Now make Opera the default browser again.

Go to Settings > Preferences > Advanced > Programs. Tick the checkbox for Check if Opera is default browser on startup. Next time you start Opera, answer Yes when the dialog asks you if you want Opera to be the default browser on your computer.

See if that has fixed the association. A Guy

Do You mean Read Receipts ?

To configure read Receipts in Outlook,

Click on Tools/Options/Email Options/Tracking Options, you can then configure the read receipts how you like. Each machine on your network can be set to automatically send a notification (read receipt) once the mail is opened.

You can also set it to ask the user if they want to send the read receipt, but it is probably better from your Boss's point of view to have each machine configured to do it automatically.
