I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A:Windows 10 support for X220 Tablet

Hello,

It may work fine with Windows 10, however, I don't believe its generation of CPU, IGP and chipset are supported by Intel for Windows 10, which means that Lenovo can't support them, either.  For what it is worth, I installed Windows 10 on a ThinkPad X61t and didn't notice any issues, and that has been out of support for a much longer time than your X220t.

That said, it could be that Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 drivers for the various bits of silicon inside your X220 tablet may work just fine under Windows 10, in which case you would be up and running.

The best suggestion I have is to make a thorough backup of your X220 and then try applying the Windows 10 Upgrade.  If it doesn't work, you will be able to wipe the drive and then reload your backup.

I replied in a another post also, sorry for that.. But I hope this post get's more attention. I just bought a x220 Tablet but my touchscreen doesn't work at all. I bought de computer with  Windows 10 installed on it. I just used WacomhardwareCheck and it gave the message: 'your hardware does not appear input capabilities and is not currently supported by the Wacom FEEL driver'.So, does this mean my touchscreen is broken and doesn't work? Is there a hardware problem? How can I see if the touchscreen is registered by Windows?it would be great if someone could help me to get this thing working... Hi, I just received my X220 Tablet, it has the UltraNav touchpad AND the touchscreen.  The mouse was not working correctly, lots of pauses when highlighting or copy/pasting.  Also, screens wouldn't finish loading on some websites without moving mouse.  Called TechSupport, she signed onto my computer and downloaded new (updated) driver.  Worked perfectly!  Until... I turned on the machine the next day (actually I woke it up but it happened with start as well).  Completely frozen mouse, like the entire thing didn't exist.  Weird: only on my own profile, not my husband's and not the Admin that I later created.  Managed to get into Control Panel > Mouse and found the UltraNav tab with all info grayed out, like there was no driver at all!  Went to drivers, found 2: the original and the new.  Should one have been removed?  Is it OK to have 2?  Reinstalled the newer driver and everything OK til I shut it down again, then back to square 1.  It's like the computer has decided there is no driver at all when I shut it off, even when I only sleep. Called back TS a few times, finally someone told me to delete my whole profile and create it again (after moving it to a hard drive so it would save all my docs and settings...which it did not save EVERYTHING, not my bookmarks, not all my programs, not all my files...fortunately, I also backed up everything to same hard drive the more traditional w... I have upgraded my X201 Tablet to Windows 10 32bit. As far as I can tell, everything is working, including the WACOM drivers and touchscreen.  Wireless has worked perfectly so far, not sure about Bluetooth as I don't use it. My only issue is that the buttons on the display do not work. The power button located on the display does work. I tried installing the Tablet Button Driver II and it will go through the install but the buttons do not work.  This is the download link:http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds027627 The document claims Windows 10 compatability and was Last Updated :08 Jun 2015. On inspection, all the files extracted are dated from 2012 and when trying to manually run the software Windows throws up an error that the software is not supported on this PC.   I removed and reinstalled and noted that the driver information page when running the installer does NOT have Windows 10 listed as a supported system. My assumption is that the driver that they have linked on the download page is NOT the most current driver and is infact the driver for Windows 7 from 2012. Does anyone know how to contact Lenovo to get the correct driver posted to the page, or know of an alternate source to try and find it?

Hello, The fan in my lenovo X220 tablet stops working after awhile from turning the device on (after around 10 minutes). This causes the temperature of the processor to always be above 90 degree C (using TPFanControl V 0.61). The fan control software shows that the fan is turning at 4060 RPM, but there is absolutly no air coming out! I recently re-applied the thermal paste, and the problem (fan turning off) "might" have started after re-applying the thermal past - I did it in a local computer service shop. I tried to update the BIOS, but the battery does not work and the installation does not start (it gives me an error) because of that. I have been using my X220 for six years with no problems and I currently run windows 10. Please let me know if you have any idea on how to fix this issue.

A:Lenovo X220 Tablet Fan Turn Off after few minutes

There are only 2 parts involved - the fan and the motherboard.  If the fan bearing gets hot and seizes, it would spin at start-up to avoid the fan error message.  Fans are cheaper than motherboards, so if it were mine, I would try a new fan.

Hello All! Hoping someone can help with a strange issue. Very recently my x220 started intermittently "losing" the battery. Here are the characteristics of the issue: - Sometimes the machine will boot, and I will see the battery status detected, charge percentage, etc. After a few minutes, however, the x220t status will simply change to "battery not detected." When this happens, I can unplug the laptop from AC power and it will run perfectly off the battery, albeit with no indication of charge level.- Other times I'll get the "no battery detected" issue right away upon booting. Again, the laptop will still run on battery power when unplugged.- Most of the time when I try to boot on battery power, I'll get a "critical low battery" warning and the machine will not boot at all. However, if I plug in AC power, it will boot, and if the battery has a charge, it will again run on battery power (while still saying "battery not detected").- On occasion, allowing the battery to drain completely and then rebooting on AC power will cause the computer to detect the battery again, although most of the time it will "lose" the battery again. I am currently running the most recent version of Kubuntu as the only OS, however I recently had Win10 on there as well, and windows did not detect the battery at all, despite attempts to uninstall and reinstall drivers, update firmware, etc.  It is an original Lenovo battery, although I recently did purchase an aftermarket batte... Hi, Yesterday I bought a used X220 Tablet - the version with Gorilla Glass - and installed Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) on it.What a great little computer this is! But what disappointed me was the lack of precision of the pen that came with the tablet. Unfortunately I could not find a setting - or program - to calibrate the pen. On this forum I learned that a lot of owners have to deal with a pen that is not accurate. On one of the posts I read it was mentioned that the digitizer in the X220 Tablet is made by Wacom, so I went their website for a recent drivers. Luckily, I soon found an appropriate tool, the Wacom Hardware Check, on ftp://ftp.wacom-europe.com/pub/WINDOWS/WacomHardwareCheck.exe . After downloading and running it, I was told:"You have hardware that is compatible with the Wacom FEEL driver. You can download the latest driver here: http://www.wacom.com/feeldriver " The URL led to a file on http://cdn.wacom.com/u/drivers/TabletPC/ISD_DualTouch_732-12.exeThe file is about 24 Mb in size. After downloading and installing it, I was able to calibrate the screen, with 25(!) calibration points. Accuracy is great now; not only in landscape, but also in portrait mode! Since I found no reference on this forum to the Wacom FEEL driver in combination with the X220 Tablet running on Windows 10, I thought it might be interesting to others in this forum. Cheers!

A:My x220 tablet arrives this Tuesday! What apps to install and what else to do?

0_o Huh? Like in general as a Windows user, Thinkpad user, or as a Windows tablet user?My favorite general advice for the laptop is this: use the Lenovo Power Manager to set the processor as low as possible and activate all other power-saving features except lowering screen brightness. Then, go and get some kind of browser add-on that disables Flash. Firefox does it using the "Toolbar Buttons" add-on, and it even allows you to activate a single Flash element at a time--meaning you can watch the YouTube video without having to see the Flash ad beside it.Those steps transformed my battery life experience. As a Windows tablet? I don't know.... On my Acer W500 (a disappointing machine), the only thing that doesn't really work is Chrome--it insists on me using the scrollbar to scroll, whereas IE and Firefox accept one-finger scrolling just fine, same as any tablet or smart phone. In my case, I really enlarged the DPI settings a lot--150%--to make the right-click menus easier to poke at. Being a bigger screen, the X220 won't suffer from that problem as much, but if you're using the multitouch version, it might be worth experimenting with different DPI settings in the control panel.

I have not tried it, but I can tell you that most likely it will not work in the default configuration.  Lenovo machines have a whitelist that checks to see if the WWAN card inserted into the machine is regonized and certified.  If the machine doesn't recognize the card it will display an 1804 error.  Since Lenovo doesn't yet sell these cards yet, it's unlikely that this card is on their whitelist. Some people modify their BIOSes to recognize cards that Lenovo hasn't put on their list yet.  I believe you can find such moded BIOSes here: http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Removed-whitelist-removal-Lenovo-ThinkPad-x220-v1-21 or alternatively maybe in the forums in http://www.mydigitallife.info/ There may be newer versions of the BIOS in the same forum, but I haven't checked in a while. I've been waiting for months for Lenovo to support the MC7750, or another LTE card like it.  I've been told by several sales people that "it's right around the corner".  Pretty much hogwash so far.  I haven't gone the step of ordering one of these card yet hoping that Lenovo will officially support it soon.  Please post back though if you do end up moding your bios.  I'm curious to know how well it works.  Also read up on taping pin 20.  Some people say it's necessary in addition to moding the bios. Good luck.

Hi everyone, I have a Lenovo X220 Tablet that has touch screen and pen. They suddenly stopped working today. The LCD screen still works pefectly fine, however. The touch screen is enabled on the touch settings. When I try to calibrate, it does not detect my finger or the pen. I also noticed that when I tried to reinstall the driver and it said "a supported tablet was not found on this system". I have the most recent bios. I am running Windows 7 that came with the laptop. All windows updates completed. Is it possible for the digitizer to be defective, but the LCD screen to work perfectly fine?Could it be just a ribbon failure?Which part would need to be replaced, if this is the case? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

A:X220 tablet touch screen suddenly stopped working

Even though it looks like a single device, it is really 3 separate ones.  There is a basic panel.  There is a static discharge digitizer in the front to sense finger touches.  There is a second Wacom digitizer behind the panel to detect the pen.  Any of them can fail.  The wires in the cable can also crack.  Since both digitizers failed, I would first look in device manager to see if there could be a problem with a USB hub.  (digitizers both connect as USB devices.)  My next guess would be the cable.  Sorry I cannot be more definite.

My X220 tablet comes with pen and limited touch support with 2 touch points. I have no issues on windows 7 but on windows 8.1 it has changed to be working with only 1 touch point since some time that I don't remember exactly when. So that I can work with one finger only and 2-finger functions such as pinch to zoom are unavailable. My drivers are all uptodate. I think I should completely uninstall the related driver before reinstalling but don't know how to procede and couldn't find the solution. I tried uninstalling all HIDs through Device manager and one-by-one, specifically wacom device. when I uninstall it, I lose touch option completely. but reinstalling through Device Manager sounds like recovering exactly the previous faulty condition. Maybe there is a conflict with windows 8.1 like Microsoft Input Configuration Device which might be unlikely.  So is there any other way to have full wipe and clean reinstall of those touch screen drivers? I appreciate it if you put links to the drivers for me, if they are not available on Lenovo Support. Tell me if you had the same touch issue in Windows 8.1  and how you solved it. Thanks

Dear Lenovo-Community,my Thinkpad S1 Yoga change into tablet modus not only when I fold back the monitor but also when I have closed the lid normaly and than reopened it or sometimes by slightly moving the monitor or a minor percussion of the table. That is very annoying, because than I have no access to keyboard or touchpad while beeing in the laptop-shape. I can revive keyboard/touchpad by folding back the monitor and than back to the normal laptop shape, but this works only one time! After that I have to send the thinkpad in the energy saving mode and wake it up, to get keyboard/touchpad back.I think it is a problem with the sensor, but does there a software setting exist so keyboard/touchpad keep unlocked in tablet-modus? Or a way to switch off the tablet-modus completely? I can live without the tablet-modus and the thinkpad is probably too old to be worth a great repair. My system is fully updated. Any idea out there?

Both features are strongly missed as I use them more or less on a daily basis. Has anyone found a working solution to any or both of them? If so please advise

Not sure about the widi, but I got the battery gauge in my X220 Tablet installed via ThinkVantage System Update, which can be downloaded from this link: click me!

Hi all, I've noticed that my Yoga 910 is not auto rotatingwhen I set it to tent mode nor to tablet mode. Not only it doesn't auto rotate but it also keep the keyboard active... Not sure if this is a faulty sensor problem or just some bug. I've tried to follow the solutions presented in other topics but without success even tried a system restore but the problem is still here. I can't really identify which update has created this situtation but I know that when a couple of months ago it was still working. I also have the impression that more are affected, so could Lenovo release a patch to troubleshoot and solve such an important issue for a Yoga product (basically there is no Yoga functionality with this problem). Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

I ran into a problem with Hotkey Features Integration package on Windows 7. TPONSCR.EXE sometimes starts to consume 50% of CPU. It happens completly randomly. Sometimes it happens when I log on and sometimes when I am normally using the laptop.  I had recorded some information using Sysinternals Process Monitor when it happened again (see attached screenshot). According to that, TPONSCR.EXE goes to infinit loop accessing some registry keys: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services\LENOVO.MICMUTE\Parameters or in other case: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\LENOVO.CAMMUTE\Parameters  Laptop is Thinkpad X220, OS is Windows 7. Hotkey Features Integration version is 8.86.25 (07 Dec 2017). All other Lenovo utilities are also have latest versions. I also tried to install older versions of Hotkey Features Integration package, but the issue appeared even more frequently with older versions.

Hey Tech Guy and Gals,

I have a Gateway CX2618, w/ windows XP tablet edition 2005 version 2002, sp2. And wanted to wipe it clean and reinstall just the things I use. Plus my Tablet side of things hasn't worked in a long time and I was hoping the clean install would fix that.

But my recovery DVD isn't working (could be user error). I DO have apps that I need to keep and I think I've backed them up to my external HD correctly.

Need lots of help, I don't want to get rid of this lappy cause I love its style, but I need it to have better performance.

Thanks in advance

Dear friends,
I have a sales presentation in the swf format(can also be converted into exe) and I bought tablets with windows 8 on it. Now I need to use the presentation on these tablets and I dont want to spend so much money for an HTML5 recoding. Is there any program/app that can display my presentation offline?
I have found a short term solution by putting the presentation in my website, but it is only online and is therfore lagging when my salesteam is inside a building.

Can you suggest any apps/programs or any additional help please?

Did you create a recovery drive?

If not, you could try using do a system repair by creating a windows 10 installation stick and booting from it, and selecting to do a repair. You may be able to do a reset, keeeping data (you will need to reinstall programs).

I have a tablet running Windows 8.1.  The MS icon appeared on my taskbar so I assumed that it was compatable.  Yesterday I received the notice that Windows 10 was ready for download.  After I started it, the download ran for over five hours and never completed.  I had to shut down.

My laptop took about 1 1/2 hrs. for the entire process, including download and install, and it works like a champ.  Would this indicate that my tablet may not be compatable?  Should I discontinue the download and keep 8.1?

I have a cheap, one month old 8" tablet with the following specs.
Toshiba Encore2
Processor: 1.33GHz
HD: 25 GB, 16.1 GB free
RAM:  1 GB
OS 32-bit, X-64 based processor

Your tablet looks like that minimum RAM available. So it will be not work Windows 10 correctly. So it’s take too much time. Also check your tablet current running Windows 8.1 latest version then you will be automatically update to windows 10. Choose automatic update on your tablet. It will be install later first download it and install on your tablet later
