sending a bulk email to my address list

Q: sending a bulk email to my address list

I have a small business and have accumulated a mailing list of I have a small business and have accumulated a mailing list of customers (not spam). I am using SBC Yahoo for my emails. I am trying to send each one of them an email without doing a Cc (I don't want them to see each other's email addresses). If I send it out Bcc, they all receive the email (and don't see each other's addresses) but the "To: " line of the email is not customized. That is - all of the recipients see the same "To: " line. I would like to have their own email address be in the "To: " line. But it seems like the only way I can do this, is to send them each the same email, one at a time. Is there a quicker way to do this so that they will each see their own email address in the "To: " line, but will not be able to see any other the other recipients email addresses? Thanks for your help. Terry

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Our internet ISP, Netscape, has blocked our email account because they say we are sending bulk email. They said it must be a virus on our computer that is doing it. They said to scan our computer, change the password, and they would have our account open within 48-72 hours. We have a dial up connection.

Is it possible for this to happen without our knowing it?

What would be the best program to scan our computer to look for and get rid of this bulk email sending virus?

A:Virus sending bulk email from my laptop?

Back scatter is a side-effect of e-mail spam, viruses and worms, where e-mail servers receiving spam and other mail send bounce messages to an innocent party. This occurs because the original message's envelope sender is forged to contain the e-mail address of the victim. A very large proportion of such e-mail is sent with a forged From: header, matching the envelope sender. The bulk email software should produce a number of valuable reports that will provide statistics pertaining to unsubscribers.

A friend of mine who is not computer savvy received an email with a list of email addresses (14). These are contained in the body of the email message. She would like to place all these addresses in a single entry so that she can email all these recipients with the same message. She uses sbcglobal.net which is how she uses email. It is very similar to Yahoo. She goes online to access the email webpage. It is not Outlook or an email software program.
Can anyone explain in simple step-by-step instructions how she can accomplish this? She is an ESL teacher and these addresses are students in the class.
My thanks in advance.

A:Creating a Contacts Bulk Email List

i'm not sure what delimiter you would use on that email system
BUT usually its a , or a ;

i would copy the 14 email address into notepad
then add the , or ; between each address
and then copy them all into the BCC: address field NOT in the TO: field

you dont really want each email address to see all the others
also you dont want them to reply to all - and everyone get a copy

Also that will count as 14 emails against your quota - Most email servers have a quota - some have x emails per hour or day

i have been trying to fix my email/outlook spam issue.  emails are going out WITH my actual email address, sending emails to people in my contacts, etc.
I also have been getting a ton of spam emails myself.
I use:
-Windows 7 Pro
-64 Bit
-Outlook 2010
-I have our own domain name email address, that is hosted by Frontier
Odd thing:  I changed my password for my email, but my outlook kept sending/receiving with the old password.
When I tried to update  the new password in outlook (which I verified by using the webmail versus outlook), it would not accept it.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

I have two friends in my email contact list that I cannot send them emails directly by typing their email addresses or by choosing their email address from the contact list. However, I can only send them emails when I reply their emails. It does not make sense to me, for the email addresses are the same by using whichever way to send emails. A lot of times, I have to forward emails to them, but I cannot, unless coping and pasting from other emails and then using the reply method. How can I solve the problem? Thanks

Not even sure if this should be here.

This AM my web-based Yahoo mail sent a spam to everyone on my contact list. I constantly see others having this happen to them but I do a daily scan with MBAM,SuperAntiSpyware and Windows Essentials and so far the computer LOOKS clean.

I have no idea about the web-based (Yahoo!) mail client, but it wold need an impetus from my computer to go sending crud about, I should think.

Asking Yahoo! about this proved slightly less frustrating that trying to thread a needle while on a vibrating bed.

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

A:sending us spam with our own email address

hello ,

do not open the messages for that is what started it

block the message

is it thru (outlook) or another mail system

get a good spam blocking software

also listing (e-mails & company address's ) in forums will give the spamers that browse forums looking for address' & company names a link to you or the company

is your company big enough to have an IT tech ?

if so then contact hime to solve this issue for then he will have a kinda lock on the system and what we tell you will be kinda useless

This is not a thread about me trying to send spam mail to people. if it was there are other ways of doing so.

I have an honest dilemma on my hands.

I work for a company that makes international sales quite often.

I have been given the task of finding out a way of sending anonymous email from our offices to potential customers. But our office is in SoCal. i need these emails to be sent to the recipient as if they were coming from Mexico or Canada or some other country. How can I send email from lets say MS Outlook 2003 or even a public email account from Hotmail or Yahoo to specific potential customers that are located all around the globe without the real identity of the sender.

I know there are proxy servers, and programs like Hide My IP or whatever, but they do not work well.

I need to send email as if I were in Mexico, with a trace coming back to some part of Mexico (a specified ip address), and with the ability for the recipient to email me back a response, and that response gets forwarded back to the real email address or ip address. I know its sounds a lot or complicated, but if anyone has a solution to this problem i have, it would mean the world to me. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

A:How to Hide ip address for sending email

You can always create fake user on your domain and make it appear as if it came
from [email protected]yourdomain.com.

If you really need to hide yourdomain.com, then you're into email spamming techniques
and we will not discuss those here. The necessity of this is extremely questionable.
If your recipient is that sensitive, then someone needs -- help.

I would think that international sales would however, be conducted in the language of
the recipient and having staff that is bilingual is always a great asset

This is a strange happening rather than a problem.

Today as I was replying to an email from a local business house via the Reply icon, as I hit "Send" I saw the address change to "[email protected]".

I looked in the Out box and there it was with the incorrect address. So I manually changed the address back to what it should have been and re-sent it.

I use Eudora.

I immediately ran a virus check but everything was OK.

Does anyone have an explanation for this?

2. How do I stop them? I don't want to get our company's email addresses or servers blacklisted--AGAIN.

I have Outlook 2007 and two email addresses: my primary pop3 account and a second, forwarding, address which I ask most of my correspondents to use.

I would like to be able to use Outlook to "send from" the second address, and to have that address appear as the "sent from" address when anyone receives a mail from me.

At present anyone can use the second address and it will arrive in my inbox.

It's just the "sent from" value which is proving difficult to achieve.

I have tried setting up a new account in account settings but I can't do so with the second address, no matter which password I use.

I have set up all my sales contacts/prospective clients in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016. I have assigned certain contacts to certain 'Marketing Lists' and I want to send each marketing list an email with a PDF attachment.

From my exploration so far it seems that I can send an email with a pdf attachment to an individual contact and I can also do this for an 'Account' but it doesn't seem that I can send an email with a pdf attachment to an entire marketing list. I
have also explored doing this with a 'Campaign' but then you cannot attach a pdf from what I can see...

I want to be able to use the application as a one-stop-shop for keeping contact info and also distributing marketing material to individuals and in bulk but so far I can only use it as a database of contacts and still have to use my regular Outlook
to send bulk emails with pdf attachments...

i have moved to the general security forum, we can always move back to virus malware
As he is not using an email client it maybe that

a) someone has logged into his account and using it to send out emails
b) someone is using his email address, to send span emails

is he getting any undelivered or failed to deliver emails ?
Have you changed the password to the account ?

you have run adwarcleaner a few times until the log is clear?

I instantly removed my gmail account from Windows Mail, and ran a virus scan which picked up a couple of trojans, and ran Malwarebytes, and removed a couple infections there.
This morning I got on, checked my email, and low and behold, another one of these links had been sent out. I warned everyone once again, and this time deleted my entire Google account. I'm sure that whatever caused this is still on my system. I deleted the email address only to avoid anymore of my family and friends from becoming infected.
I also ran a cleaner called "FixSirc" cause someone told me it could be the Sircam worm or what not. I ran in both normal, and safe mode, and it found no traces on it. I really don't want to have to reformat the system if I don't have to, so if anyone has any ideas on what this could be that would be awesome.
Thanks for your time.

when i send e-mail in Outlook 2000 and select the names of the people i want to email. I just get...yourname (email)...in the TO bar...I was wondering how to display the name and email address all at once. Similar to the way AOL does Please help me!!!!

A:Display email address in outlook 2000 instead of just names when sending

Unless you're using your company's global address list, you must have saved the e-mail addresses yourself (either in your personal address book or in Contacts).

If so, the name is just a short identifier for that e-mail address. You can change the names to include the e-mail address by editing it the name:

In Contacts, right-click the contact, click Open.
Change the Full Name line to read:

Contact Name: E-mail address
e.g. John Smith: [email protected]
In the File As line, make sure it says the same as above.
Click Save and Close.

Alternatively, use:
File, Address Book, double-click the addressee, click the Name tab.
Add the e-mail address to the end of the surname and make sure it appears the same in the Display line.

If you're using a global address list, I'm not sure how you'd change it, maybe someone else can jump in and help you?

This morning my msn email account had letters from family letting me know that my msn address has been sending emails from my account that contain malicious links. When that family member clicked on the link it started downloading and could not be stopped until she used control/alt/delete to shut off the computer.

Yesterday I had just opened an email account with Gmail and imported my address book. Is this related? Or maybe, is this problem tied to when the gaming system PS3 had its data hacked a few months back--personal data areas were hacked that included email, credit cards, and passwords, etc.? Either way, I need to find where the problem is and fix it.

I went to MSN Live solutions center, downloaded and ran their recommended tool to locate problems--a quick scan found nothing. I am running Nortons Antivirus that came with my Qwest MSN account. My main computer is running XP Media edition, 32 bit, with service pack 3.

Please help me locate the trouble and fix this. I have sent a warning email to my whole address book from my new Gmail account to hopefully prevent others from getting this.

A:MSN email address book hacked, sending malicious links

Update--so far MSN says it sounds like a virus, but nothing was found. We reset the computer to an earlier date, about 8 days earlier, and then Norton's wouldn't run. It had 3 error codes; 3043,1 3040,20011 and 3040,20063. Nortons Fix it didn't work on these codes and after following their recomendations, it still didn't work. Finally uninstalled Nortons and reinstalled. Ran quick scan, found 8 small problems and it fixed those. Ran again as full scan, found 4 more concerns and automatically repaired those as well.

Ran Microsoft Safety Scanner for full scan- nothing found. Ran SpyBot search and destroy--nothing found.

Talked to Qwest, because they were the number Norton's sent me too (Qwest provides my DSL). Qwest took the info and looked at my email account. They noticed the virus links all end in /world.html and many have more in common like modules/Search/world.html Qwest is looking into that, but who knows if they will find where this started? Qwest did say that copies of email sent from my MSN account were being sent to another account, my husband's email. We checked his account- non of my emails are there, except the spam email with the virus link.

This makes me worry--is someone intercepting my email? Maybe I didn't understand. My husband's email is on my account as an alternate in case something happens.
I have not had a chance to contact Gmail yet. It seems like more than a little bit of a coincindence that my ... Read more

Several days ago a number of returned/undelivered emails showed up in my inbox. Checking my "Sent" folder I found that the emails had been sent, but I did not send them.

Upon checking the internet, I found information that identified the problem, but there was no clear solution specified. I would appreciate help in resolving this issue.

All my contacts within my Yahoo Email Address Book are getting a bogus email with either no title or just a name in the title and then just a link in the body of the email that usually contains the word viagra or the word "love" or "lo.ve" etc in the link. I've downloaded antivirus programs inluding MS Shield and Norton Antivirus and they often find a Trojan or other files that they clean up but after a few days I get emails from my friends saying they are getting spam/virus email from me again.

My sister told me that her Windows Mail is really strange. I can't help her because I don't use Windows Mail so I am asking on her behalf.

a) When she opens her Contact list , the names are in alphabetical order (which is expected) .However when she composes an email and clicks on the "To" button , the name list displayed is not in alphabetical order by name but strangely ordered by email addresses. Is there a way to rearrange to resort by names?

b) When she types a name in the Address area ie in the box next to "To" , another page opens for search. Is this normal ? With Outlook ( which she used to use until she changed to a new computer running Vista) when you type the name a list of potential email addresses appear. IS there a way to fix this?

A:Windows Mail Contact list and email address order

I'm piggybacking on here because I have a similar problem. I imported my address book from Outlook Express and now when I begin to type in the name on "To" line it doesn't find the contact. For example if my contact is Joe Smith, I use to be able to type in Jo (and the auto fill would kick in) Now I need to remember Joe Smith's email which might not be anything like his name ([email protected]) How do I organize my address book like it was on O.E.? I want them alphebetically by first name, not by their email address.

I can also merge different files and create one single file through E-mail manager. And even merging different files to one single file cannot create duplications.

I want to install AIM Instant Messaging, but have a question about privacy.

The AIM web site has a brief note about its new and improved PLAXO service, which "helps you synchronize your address books". The Plaxo function is built-in to the AIM Instant messaging, and automatically plugs into email programs such as Outlook.

According to wiki, Plaxo is a central server that keeps your email address, and when you change it, it notifies all other people who use Plaxo and have your address. It says:
"Users and their contacts store their information on Plaxo's servers. When this information is edited by the user, the changes appear in the address books of all those who listed the account changer in their own books. Once contacts are stored in the central location, it is possible to list connections between contacts and access the address book from anywhere "
Am I paranoid--or is this a friendly form of Big Brother keeping track of me?
Specific questions:
1. Suppose I open an instant messaging account at AIM with a username of "john". Will Plaxo go into my personal emails in Outlook , identify my addresss as chappachula @ mycompany.com, and then make that info available to all other Plaxo users? Or just the users on my AIM buddy list?
2. Suppose that in the future, I decide to unlist a buddy who I've decided is a weirdo --will he still be able to find my real email address?

3. And if I change my Outlook email address will the whole worl... Read more

I believe the program 89exinjs.n.exe in this hijack this logfile is sending bulk emails out to random addresses. According to spyware terminator the parent process is svchost.exe, but I know you can't delete that as it is essential to the OS. It seems to spew out those .n.exe files, and I have had enough of it. One of my clients is a registered charity working in a rural area.  Their provider is Zen Internet and they have a policy of allowing just 5 bounce backs for users within an hour to deter spamming.
Their address book is quite large and despite attempting to clean up their address book everytime they send out a bulk email they get blocked by zen with the following message.
"Domain xxxxxxx.org has exceeded the max defers and failures per hour (5/5
(71%)) allowed. Message discarded."
A limit of 5 is very low but thats Zens policy and I an see why providers are starting to do this.  Apart from constantly validating addresses which is difficult is there another way around this?  Zen mentioned Mail Chimp but I have no idea how this works and their website doesnt really tell you much.  I also wondered if it would be possible to set up a Gmail account with an alias to the main sender at my client just for sending out these emails.
As said its a charity not a buiness working with people across a wide rural community.
Any ideas?

Does anyone use Yahoo email? A few weeks ago, I got a notice that said that a new service would be put into effect... a Bulk Mail folder... to catch spam. And that Yahoo filters would automatically divert known spam to this folder. It's never worked. It does not divert spam to it; they come into my Inbox. I contacted them multiple times via their web form contact form. Finally, got a canned reply. It still does not work. Does anyone use their service and the bulk mail folder... does yours work or not? Did you have to do anything to make it work? Does anyone know how to contact a real person there? I either have to get this solved or give it up; I'm gettting 100 spams per day.

I am currently looking for a bulk email solution. We send about 400,000 emails out every month. I have found some online software that could do the job, but I also want to present a few options where we could to it all in house. Does anyone have any recommendations of bulk email software? Also what hardware would be required to handle our mass mail. We currently are using anaconia's rocket mail but it takes extremely long to send mail. Any input would be great. Thanks.
