I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Is ist possible to connect two external displays over microHDMI. I know, normally you couldn't use them as extended displays because there's only one signal. BUT on the product page they claim, that it has a DisplayPort ("combo with HDMI?") and microHDMI. In my opinion it looks like there are somehow two output signals over the hdmi port, or does anybody know what this exactly mean?

A:Yoga 710-14IKB two external displays over microHDMI?

The product page is incorrect. The 710-14IKB has one micro-HDMI for one display. If you want a second display you'll need a USB display adapter.

Hi all, My laptop is a Yoga 510-14ISK, which has an Intel HD Graphics 520 (graphics unit integrated with the Skylake processor) and an AMD Radeon R5 M330 as the PCI-E card. My issue is supporting the full resolution of my external monitor, a BenQ FP241W, which has a native resolution of 1920x1200. The max resolution offered by any of the tools (Windows, Intel and AMD) is 1920x1080. This leaves black bars on the top and bottom of the monitor, which is not only wasted space, but is contributing to the burn-in of my eight-year-old-but-still-working-as-new monitor. I originally connected the laptop via a Thinkpad USB 3.0 Ultra Dock, which uses USB-C from the laptop and HDMI to the monitor. I discovered, however, that the Intel driver would not detect the monitor this way, or at least it wouldn't list it. The monitor is now plugged directly to the laptop via HDMI. I assume this is a driver issue, since these modern graphics cards should easily support 1920x1200. If it is, it isn't trivial to solve; I spent hours yesterday trying various things:Exploring the display configurations in Windows 10 (64 bit), the Intel Graphics Control Panel (IGCP), and the Radeon Settings tool. Strangely enough, the latter does not show a ?Display? category, which, judging from online screenshots, normally should be there (see attached screenshot). The max I ever get listed is 1920x1080. Attempting to enter a custom resolution of 1920x1200 at 60p in the IGCP gives an error, ?T... Read more

Hello, I am currently thinking about buying a 4k monitor or ultra-wide external display.Does anyone know which kind of resolution the Lenovo Yoga 700 with the 940M GPU supports? I would be interested in 4k or 3440 x 1440 or 2560 x 1080, but I don't know whether these resolutions are supported and if so at which hertz rate. I could not find any information on the Lenovo support page regarding this matter. Hello!I am trying to find out if DisplayPort is supported on the following two models: - Yoga 710-14IKB (80V4003LMX)- Yoga 900S-12ISK (80ML000RMX) I need to drive UHD TVs (4K at 60fps) and various high resolution displays using DisplayPort (HDMI 1.4 only supports 4K at low refresh rates).  It seems to be difficult find out looking through the documentation provided by Lenovo.  When I connect my Thinkpad P50 to my external monitor (Samsung C34F741) directly using the mini Diplayport (connector on the side of the laptop) everything works fine. The resolution 3440x1440 @ 100 Hz and sound on the monitor speakers all work flawlessly. However, when I connect the same external monitor to the Displayport of the Lenovo Workstation Dock (using the same cable), the video works fine (same resolution and refresh rate as above), but the audio on the monitor speakers lags behind the video. The lag is at first barely noticable but increases as time passes, eventually getting out of sync a few seconds. I have the latest nVidia drivers and the latest Workstation Dock firmware installed. I am suspecting the external Displayport on the docking station is not capable of driving the high resolution at such a high refresh rate. Is there indeed a difference is specs between the laptop's Diplayport and the Docking station's Displayport? Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks.

I have the exact same equipment at home and at work and yet the resolution on my second monitor at work will not go to the 3840 x 2160 that I have at home. Both locations have:1. X1 Yoga (first gen, model number 20FQ002YUS) -- It's the same laptop that I take between home and work2. ThinkPad OneLink+ Dock (model number DU9047S1)3. Two (2) Asus monitors (model number PB287Q) that go to 3840 x 2160 max resolution, connected to the OneLink+ Dock via DiplayPort cables I've been running this configuation with NO PROBLEM at home for the past 9 months.  So I recently purchased a new OneLink+ Dock and two new monitors for my work office and while one monitor will go to 3840 x 2160, the other will not go above 1920 x 1080, UNLESS, I use a mini DisplayPort cable from the second monitor directly into the X1 Yoga (bypassing the OneLink+ Dock) HERE'S WHAT'S BAFFLING: I assumed it was the dock and so I brought the one from home to work and found I had the SAME problem, suggesting it was the second monitor.   But I exchanged the second monitor for a new one and still have the same problem.  The docks are running the most current firmware. I'll send a gift card to your favorite coffee house if you can solve this mystery.  Thanks!

Hi MichaelG4,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

There is only one port available to accommodate storage on this model.
Storage specification: M.2 slot,  2.5-inch, NGFF, 128 GB / 256 GB, SATA II/SATA III (Lenovo YOGA 710-14ISK/Lenovo YOGA 710-14IKB) (page 6 on the hardware manual)

On this model, an external USB SSD storage drive can be the most practical and useful tool for added files which is would also allow transferability to different work PC.

Hope this help answer your query.

Hi,

I was running WinXP Pro, in 22 LCD Widescreen Monitor, in 1600 x 900, words is small and viewing IE is headache.

But if I run any smaller resolution the image and videos etc will get stretch on side, will this spoilt the video card or other hardware in long run?

Anyone knows of any program that fix the stretch image problem while running on less resolution?

Thank you.

A:Lcd Resolution Widescreen

The stretched image won't do any harm to components. It just looks wrong, and can be corrected by setting a resolution using the same ratio as the native resolution of your monitor. Is 1600x900 the native resolution for your monitor? That is, it actually has a screen with 1600x900 pixels. If so, it is 16:9 format. Widescreens can also be 16:10.

If yours is 16:9, a lower resolution using the same ratio, like 1280x800, will enlarge the screen elements and keep them in proportion. Depending on your video hardware, your video driver and monitor .inf setup, you may not have any suitable resolutions available. Do you have the "driver" (.inf file) for your monitor installed? It's usually supplied on a disc with the monitor.

Hello, I came here to ask Lenovo Staff for any feedback. Week ago I've bought Yoga 710. After few days of use its front left corner went up, it became unstable on flat surface. Pads aren't the problem and everything is fine if notebook is closed. I left it open with some book to keep it flat over night to see if it helps, it did but only for a while. I've search through this forum if anyone had such issue and Lenovo Support members claimed several times that it should be returned as this is covered by warranty. Sides are stiff and solid but the whole front is pretty much flexible. I could flex it myself but this can damage internal parts which I'd like to avoid. So I took pictures, contacted local Lenovo Support (Poland) about it. Surprisingly they've refused to help by claiming that this is "cosmetic defect". I've asked twice, told them about statements here and I don't blame them, but there's clearly some misunderstanding. Here's the picture of how it looks like. It would be great if someone could clarify why I can't receive warranty service while I read here others did.  I still have week to return it to store but this model (with Kaby Lake) isn't available anymore so they can't replace it for me and yet it's not their fault. I'd like to keep it, stay fair and have my issue resolved. Best Regards, Simon. o/

I'm thinking of buying a 19" widescreen from Acer (on a side note, is Acer a notable company?)... But - the resolution is recommended to be left at 1440x900.

Now, can my Radeon X850XT go to that kind of resolution? It can surely handle it, but I'm not sure how do go to it (currently I have only options of 1024x768, 1280x1024, etc., but no 1440x900)... Or is it going to only be available once I start using the new monitor?

I just don't want to get it and then figure I have no way of switching to 1440x900...

A:Widescreen monitor resolution?

Usually the card is set to not accept anything other than the supported resolutions of the current monitor. So that means that when you do get your monitor, it WILL be able to go to 1440x900 because most cards can handle that.

I have a customer who wants to buy a monitor that will work with software developed by my company. The software is old and has windows that can't adapt to different displays, so it requires a 4:3 aspect ratio display or the picture will be stretched on a widescreen. I suggested an NEC LCD2190UXP which is a 1600X1200 native resolution monitor.

But my customer has decided 4:3 monitors are obsolete, so he suggested a 24" NEC MultiSync EA241WM-BK which is a 16:10 aspect ratio (1920X1200). The spec sheet says it will diplay 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions of 1600X1200 and 1400X1050. The monitor has an OSD option to enforce Apect Ratio.

My question: If the customer sets the computer to 1600X1200 and sets the monitor to enforce aspect ratio, will the picture be chopped off at the top and bottom? Or will the top and bottom be ok, but with black bars on both sides? The specs and manual are silent on this subject.

A:Widescreen Resolution for Doom3

seta r_customHeight "your size"
seta r_customWidth "your size"

in the doomconfig.

Also here is some info that you can try to get it to work.

r_mode [-1,3,4,5,6,7,8] - This setting determines the resolution, as set in the in-game menus under Screen Size (See In-Game Settings section). The mode values are 3 = 640x480, 4 = 800x600, 5 = 1024x768, 6 = 1152x864, 7 = 1280x1024 and 8 = 1600x1200. Note, you can use -1 for r_mode, and this tells the game to use the values for r_customHeight and r_customWidth to set screen width and height - this is useful for allowing things like widescreen mode.

Now to the problem:
Is there a way to limit the desktop to 16:9?

I don't want to change the resolution to 1024x576 since this is not supported by the projector, i only would like to limit the desktop to this resolution.
I also don't want the projector to streach the image, since this distorts the image maging circles oval etc.

This would mean having black stripes both over and under the picture which is fine!

Thankful for tips...

I ran the windows updater as soon as the installation was completed so my graphics card is now listed as 'Standard VGA Graphics Adapter'.

I have installed the latest drivers to my monitor from Samsung's webpage.

Where can I find drivers for my integrated graphics card?

I have a game (ATCSimulator 2) that is not written for widescreen. The game tells me that in order to work in the mode I want the display must be set to a standard 4:3 setting. Does anyone know how I can change the resolution to display properly or possibly a workaround for this?

ok so i have this LG L194WT 19" wide screen monitor. I'm usually use it as a desktop extender for my notebook, but when the motherboard hosed a few weeks ago i decided to rebuild a desktop outta some old parts i had laying around. The specs are in posted for the desktop. Anywho i installed ALL the drivers and updated them, esp. the Geforce2 vid card. The system runs Win2k pro and the vid card has either 32mb or 64mb ram for video processing. The thing is the recommended resolution (default) is 1440x900. (yes i read the earlier post on the exact same thing, it came up when i Google searched it and thats how i joined the site). My laptop which runs win xp will show the monitor in the 1440x900 resolution, but the desktop wont. Then i checked the resolution capabilities of the card. it can show 1600x900 and on up to 2048x1536, much larger resolution than that of the monitor. The thing is, even the graphics card utility doesn't show 1440x900, but it does show larger resolutions, plus i know for a fact that this video card is better than the onboard graphics chipset on my crappy gateway notebook (which does output the 1440x900 resolution through the intel utility).

So is this win2k that wont allow the resolution (the OS GUI simply can show up at this rate???),, or is it hardware, or is it just crappy driver design from LG. Hello everyone, As you can see by my nickname, I just change from MBP/Apple to Lenovo/Windows This is my first Windows laptop since year 2007, so I'm happy to see there is a active forum here for Lenovo users. I'm a hobby photographer and use this laptop with Photoshop and Lightroom. My model is: YOGA 710-14IKB, i7-7500, 16 GB RAM, GeForce 940MX.Does anyone have the same model and have a good ICC file? I tried from this website, but the screen turn out to be to much red.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-Yoga-710-14IKB-80V4002HGE-Convertible-Review.184531.0.html Thank you so much.

Hi, I just bought a brand new YOGA 710-14IKB but the laptop won't turn on. When I press the power button it lights up and then it shuts down. I have read everything from the lenovo forum and on youtube but I can't fix it. It is very urgent as I'm leaving indefinitely. I could send it in to the manufacturer but I don't think they can fix it in time. Every piece of advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Best regards

I have a Lenovo Yoga with a 1TB HDD.My laptop has been working perfectly fine until i updated audio driver, radeon driver bios and 2 windows 10. Upon restarting after updates installation, my laptop would not boot anymore.

Upon restarting, i see the typical windows updating X%. I got to until 35% when the next time I check it was "reattempting installing updates" decises to leave it overnight since it was already 3am. this is what happened after I checked on it the morning after, first:
Default Boot Device Missing
Googled and found a solution online and followed the following steps:step 1 ) Power on your laptopStep 2) Enter into Bios SetupStep 3) Goto Boot TabStep 4) Highlight Boot Mode, press Enter, swap from "UEFI" to "Legacy Support". Under that Swap UEFI to legacy FirstStep 5) goto EXIT tab and highlight Exit saving changes . Press Enter.Restart Your LaptopTurned laptop on and this is what I get next:Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 083)Copyright 1997-2000 Intel CorporationRealtek PCIe GBE Family Controller SeriesPXE-E61: Media test failure, check cablePXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM.No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key

Don't know how to proceed after this.

Please see photo of latest bios status.

A:Yoga 510-14IKB won't boot after windows 10 update

Hello and welcome,

Based on the image you linked, I've moved your post to the Lenovo Yoga forum.  I've also removed the link to the image as it showed your serial number.

If you'd like to repost/reply with that image - as it includes potentially useful BIOS identification - please obscure the S/N first. Otherwise, you could post the information as text.

Regards,
Z.
