Q: Lenovo ideapad 110 stuck on Lenovo watermark loop

I recently factory reset my laptop and it said it was missing some things and shut off. Later, I turned it off and all it does is show the ?Lenovo? screen, goes black, then grey in a endless loop. How can I fix this problem?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Or is it worth just going with warranty and taking it in to get them to look at it..... thanks for your help help in advance!

I've got a problem with a Lenovo Ideapad 110 that I was formatting for a new user - I left it over the weekend to refresh and reinstall Windows 10 and now turning it on puts it in a continuous loop that stops me getting into Windows or even the BIOS. At the moment whenever I turn the laptop on the Lenovo splash screen comes on, followed by the circle of white dots. After a couple of seconds the logo disappears for a second then reappears. The message "Welcome" appears for a split second and then turns to "Restarting." After a couple more seconds the laptop restarts and the whole thing happens again until I turn off the power. I've tried every shortcut to get to the BIOS, system repair, etc. that I can think of and nothing stops this loop from happening. I've tried the Novo button on the side, that does nothing either. Any suggestions on how to get around this so I can force a complete system restore would be most appreciated. Cheers

Hi Zeropatience50 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

After trying all advance recovery options and that you are willing to start fresh, you may want to factory restore it.
One Key Recovery (page 20) can be launch by pressing the Novo button (item8 page 74) while the pc is off to power on. Novo Menu should appear to offer System Recovery , one key recovery from initial backup.

Hoping that the harddisk / OKR image is still viable , things should proceed as plan .
Else check on this option:
Booting to Recovery Environment with Windows 8/8.1 installation media or Recovery Drive/System Repai...

Hope this helps.
Update us how it goes for you.

My Lenovo T460S was doing a strange thing where it updated the firmware for the wireless device every time I booted it up, so after reading around some other forum posts, I downloaded the latest drivers and installed them. After that, the first time I rebooted, the machine would not respond to the keyboard and touchpad, and the same again the next few times, so I went into the recovery system get it to reset Windows 10 to original state. The machine informed me that reset had failed on 3%, and now it is stuck what appears to be some kind of boot loop, where it shows the Lenovo logo, but then goes blackscreen for a while, before restarting and trying again. Any ideas why this has happened and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

My lenonvo (thinkpad) t410 is stuck in startup. I was checking email and I noticed that my screen was freezing up a bit when an error message box came on screen (unfortunately I did not take note of what it said) and my computer began to shut down by itself. I hit the power button to make sure it wouldnt restart and gave it 20 minutes before i went to turn it back on. Now when i try to turn it on, it shows the lenovo splash screen but then goes black and shows the splash screen again, never proceeding to windows. I have spent most of the say looking up possible solutions, but while many people have had similar problems, most other posts involve system recovery options, which do not appear on my screen. It is allowing me to boot into BIOS but I have not been able to find a solution there. Do I need to reinstall Windows? Please help.

Hi, I have a Lenovo Yoga 211 laptop which I purchased 3 years ago. Two days ago I turned it on, & the Lenovo logo came up as usual, & the little circle, but i never got past that screen. I tried some function keys, & wound up with the screen saying Preparing Your Automatic Repair (or something similar). After a while, the screen went to Repairing Your PC. Then the screen said Repairing Your Disks. This May Take Over An Hour. Over an hour later, the screen said the automatic repair couldn?t repair the disks. I searched Google for answers, checked some videos, wasted $47.00 on some answer site, & now I?m here. Has anyone else had this problem?Thank you in advance for any help!

I bought my wife an ideapad maybe a year or so ago (the exact model isn't coming to me at the moment) and she recently had it die while she was using it due to low battery. When it started up, it was having issues starting up and went stright to onekey recovery. No problem, we've used this feature before... but after the recovery, it gives me the option to restart and it loads automatically to the onekey recovery again. It has done this time and time again. I am able to boot in to bios by pressing Fn+F2 when at the lenovo splash screen but nothing in there seems to give me any help or remedy the situation. The Lenovo splash screen seems to hang for a very long time and also displays "Checking Media" in the upper left corner, reminiscent of a DOS screen. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated... Also, I have ensured that the onekey button is not stuck. It seems to click in and out of place pretty obviously. I'm at a loss!

So basically as of yesterday whenever I try to turn on my Ideapad 110 it just stays stuck on the Lenovo screen with the loading wheel and won?t proceed. I have read through other threads and tried all the following: 1. Using Automatic Repair Tools - Screen just stays stuck on Preparing Automatic Repair Tools2. Loading in Safe Mode - No matter which buttons I press the option to load in safe mode does not appear. Just stays stuck on the loading wheel3. Using the Novo button to launch System Recovery - once again it just stays stuck on the Lenovo loading wheel. i am at my wits end about this and seeing as this laptop is only a few months old I am not expecting such issues to occur. If anyone could please offer any support as to what to do I would be grateful, but I fee at this rate I?ll just be forced to download a new Windows ISO off my work computer and go off that, if that would work anyway. Thanks very much in advance

My CPU (6700HQ) is stuck at 800MHz and is always in Thermal Throttiling mode. The temperatures are about 30-40 Celsius. I tried program called ThrottleStop and with disabling BD PROCHOT, my problem was gone. BD PROCHOT is limiting not only the CPU, but also the GPU. I updated the BIOS and the problem was still there. I set everything to 100% in power options, sitll the same. Sometimes when I turn on the laptop, Thermal Throttiling is off, but after some time only browsing the web, is on again. I think reseting CMOS, can fix the problem. What do you think?

I forgot to put my ideapad 300 on the charger the other day and it died, and now I can't get it to turn back on. I've seen other things online say to remove the battery, but I'm not comfortable with doing that since it would basically require taking the whole laptop apart. Any suggestions?

Hi, I got my laptop just before New Year so haven't been able to get any support for this problem. I see there have been other posts regarding this for different models and wonder if the solution is the same. My laptop boots up fine either plugged into AC power or on battery power. However, if I unplug the AC power, the screen goes blank, although the laptop stays powered up as I can hear it running. If I plug the AC power back in the screen comes back on again. Is the laptop stuck in ship mode, even though I've followed the troubleshooting suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, I have owned my Lenovo IdeaPad 510 for less than 2 years. The other day, I started it up as usual and all that loaded was the Windows 10 background photo on login. Each time I started it up, it would be stuck on the same picture, I am able to see my mouse and move it around but that's it. The 'log in' does NOT show, neither does the date at the bottom before you want to enter your password etc. When I press the laptop start button, I do get the Lenovo logo and the little spinning wheel? I assume i'm going to have to take it in and get it fixed but any insight would be great. Does closing your laptop lid without shutting down cause major problems? Thanks Lenovo LOL

A:lenovo G505s stuck in a 'diagnosing your pc' then 'preparing automatic repair' loop

Hi heidihamed  ,

Welcome to the Community Forums .

On a Windows boot loop , it would be an advantage if it can proceed on windows advance options for repair options.
Avoid any option for factory recovery since those would delete your files.

Initially turn off your pc and remove the battery and charger .
Press and hold down the power button for 15 seconds and release to drain remaining current.
Put back the battery and charger and use the Novo key (item5 page 4) to turn it on .
Choose  BIOS setup and press F9 for loading defaults , F10 to save and exit
How was it?

If the advance options showed up then we can proceed with troubleshoot and system restore that would allow you to just go back to a previous date before the problem with you keeping your files.

You may also create a repair image to help fix it from a different pc with same WIndows version.

Final option should be One key recovery  (page27) but this would delete your files so usually best that you try backing your files via harddrive enclosure and attach the harddrive on a different pc .
Else booting to a rescue media can help with back ups too.

Update us how things would go.

Regards

A:Lenovo Ideapad 110 With AMD Radeon R5 stuck on Black screen after showing logo and preparing repair

 Hi there, Eddie                       -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

Automatic Repair usually kicks in if there's a problem loading up the files that's required to start Windows. If the repair was interrupted and the screen just goes into a black screen then there's most likely a hardware component that's malfunctioning.

To check, try to:

Boot into the BIOS by pressing the OneKey Recovery button

  - Link to picture

If successful, set the following settings in the BIOS:

Security Tab:
Secure Boot = Disabled

Boot Tab:
UEFI = Disabled or Legacy
Boot Mode = Legacy
Boot Priority = Legacy First
Exit Tab

OS Optimized Defaults = Other OS or Disabled

When done, press F10 (or Fn+10) to save and exit and try to boot from your Windows CD

If you're successful in booting from the Windows Disc, see Step 1 to Step 2 of this guideon how to proceed in fixing the issue.
If the problem remains, consider re-installing Windows by pressing the OneKey Recovery button and choose System Recovery

  - Link to picture

In an event that the recovery fails, I recommend you contact Lenovo and report the issue as you may need to send the unit for service.

Update us how it goes.

So everything has been working fine on my laptop until about 10:30PM EST tonight. I bought it new in August 2011.
Specs:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
CPU: Intel Core i7-2630QM @ 2.00 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
HD: 750 GB
BIOS: 45CN36WW

It's always been a fine machine with NO problems.
However, last night there were Windows 7 updates that were installed and then restarted my computer. I had not gotten a chance to check exactly what they were though. About 10:30 this evening, flash crashed in Mozilla Firefox which is not that uncommon, and from there Firefox closed, and so did my Microsoft Word and Excel apps that were open. From there, my computer began to shut down and restart. When it went to restart, all it could do was go to the opening Lenovo screen which gives you the F2 (setup option) and F12 (multiboot menu option) as it typically does. Besides a thin strip at the top that appeared after about 30 secs that only displays moving static that eventually will just stick, that is where the boot process ends. No Windows 7 screen, and certainly no opportunity to boot into safe mode to check for any problems. The screen freezes and goes nowhere.

So basically, all I'm getting in terms of boot options are lenovo features, not windows 7 features, meaning it won't boot into windows 7 or windows 7 safe mode no matter what I try. The biggest problem here is that I have no windows 7 disc to even try to boot from my dvd drive.

Anybody have any suggestions on what the probl... Read more

I am totally disappointed in Lenovo's customer support. My lenovo 710s was bought less than 1 year ago (as of 10/6/2017, when I sent it in for repairs) and had 2 years warranty (1+1 year of extended warranty). I sent my laptop for repair due to a white spot issue on the monitor, affecting viewing of webpages and videos. However, the laptop was returned after 3 weeks without any fixes/repairs, as Lenovo claimed that it was a cosmetic issue. I wrote a message on their customer care website on 3/7/2017. However, they ignored me and there was no reply to date.  I thought Lenovo is a reliable and popular brand. However, it turned out to be a horrible decision, much to my dismay!
