I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi.I bought the Yoga 520 exactly last year. The battery is dying pretty quickly I am now left with 14,500 mWh which is terribly disappointing.I can now only get about an hour of battery. The concerning things is that, everyday, the battery sheds about 300 mWh.Where can I possibly purchase a battery replacement for my unit?I have included the battery report in this post.

Hi everyone, I have a 2nd Gen Thinkpad X1 Yoga type 20JD. I bought a replacement battery (P/N 01AV458) for my laptop since my old one (P/N 01AV457) is at half its original capacity and I'm out of warranty. However, when I put the new battery in and plug my power adapter in, the "charging" indicator light doesn't turn on as it does with my original battery. And when I power on my computer with the power plugged in, it says I have no battery. I checked the compatible parts page for my laptop and it says the replacement battery should work. Things I've tried:Unplug power, disconnect battery, hold power button for 30 seconds, reconnect battery, power onHold reset button for 10 seconds Uninstall "Microsoft ACPI battery" in device managerReturning battery and getting another of the same type from a different seller (on eBay)Any ideas? Thanks

Hello all, Please forgive if this has been posted. I couldn't find an answer: I purchased a replacement for my battery, but on installation it wouldn't charge. I tried disabling AC and battery in device manager. I tried complete shut down and reboot. Couldn't get the new battery to be recognized. The old battery still works a bit, so I'm not in serious trouble. but with the battery going on a few years old, I wanted to replace before it left me stranded. Is there something that must be done to tell the system (Win 8.1 x 64 pro) to recognize that the battery is new, and to reflash the battery firmware and reset the driver? Simply replacing the battery didn't quite get the job done. Thank you for any response.

I have a yoga 260 that would not charge the battery when plugged in. I tried a different charger which didn't work and then replaced the battery but also no luck. I sent it to Lenovo and was told I need a new system board which was going to cost around that of a newer laptop. I decided to replace it myself with a refurbished board as I've done this on an old computer in the past. With the install complete it can get some charge to the board because it tries to start up but I am getting 2 short beeps with nothing on the screen. I realize this usually means there is a system board issue. I've rechecked all the connections and everything 4x so I don't think it was an install problem. Is there something else I need to do or did I just buy a bad refurbished board?

I think with batteries the big thing is Watt/Hours. (Don't quote me on that tho)
You might be better off using the same battery as the one you had before, simply for the sake of reliability.
It also will depend on what you use this laptop for.

Now the laptop shuts off when unplugged and the battery status is constantly changing. I always used to be an HP customer and thought would give it a go with Lenovo so I got myself a Yoga 910. I am out of warranty, called support and have been quoted $1500 AUD for  anew motherboard which is not even on stock and no one in their right mind would give that sort of money for such a piece of garbage. The symptoms:It started a random day out of the blue. When the battery was around 30% I plugged in the charger and the laptop started acting as if I was periodically at every second unplugging and replugging the DC adapter meanwhile the charging led was blinking at the same frequency every second. I heard the plug in sound and the screen became brighter every 2 seconds. Unfortunately even when the laptop was turned off itwasn't charging the battery at all so after experimenting with all possible solutions with uninstalling and deactivating charging drivers which didn't work my battery was fully drained and now my premium looking laptop is pretty much good to be thrown out. I know it has nothing to do with sleep mode and all or other software related settings. It's not a charger issue because I tried another charger and another power socket as well. It's not a contact issue with the charging port because it's following the same pattern no matter how I hold or don't hold the plug to the charging port. I could  get the laptop to work only through the battery connectors. When the battery is removed then it's just completely dead. The charging led w... Read more

I am struggling with this for a while now. In Hungary we basically have no Lenovo support. My Yoga 2 is considered old but still a very-very good laptop. The Energy Manager complains that the battery is old and I can see it in its performance as well unfortunately. I tried several sellers on Ebay but I keep getting some crappy quality, usually old, refurbished like (but it does not work at all) batteries. I want a real ORIGINAL Lenovo battery that is BRAND NEW (not manufactured in 2014), that is a real stuff, not just a sticker on the outside, crap in the inside. Could you please help me?

Hello brain trust. - I purchased a Yoga c930 for my daughter to use at college and I noticed that after shutting down (using windoes shut down, not sleep mode), the battery will deplete down to around 25% after sitting totally off for just 4 days. I've tested this a couple of times and it's consistent. In addition, it will then fully charge after around 45 minutes on the charger, even though the charge icon in the systray says it will take around double that time I've not used it enough to check the battery life in use, but since my Dell laptop will fire up after going weeks and weeks without a charge, there seems to be something wrong with this machine if it's depleting the battery like that while totally shut down. Any suggestions on what to check or how to diagnose why this is happening?  Thanks in advance

I am a Yoga 700-14ISK user for 2 years. And I had encounter serveral issues with this laptop before (and the service center helped me to fix them) However, now there is an issue I just have now - my battery is draining fast like 1% lost per 2-3 min for light usage (browsing on Chrome or doing my schoolwork either on Microsoft Office or Google Drive) I suspected it was due to my battery wear level. However, as I monitored it, I realised it keep fluctuating (from 19.64% to 42.02%) until I re-calibrate which gives me 38.51% and then 38.71% after a charge to 60%. Is it possible the battery wear level can cause the quick drain in battery?  Is this battery wear level normal? I would also like to point out that I had the battery changed over a year ago and I normally used my laptop for schoolwork and gaming (occasionally now after realising the issue.) I am also going to have an internship (at least 6 months) from July so I am very worried that my laptop can't last long especially its battery. Hence, should I go to a Lenovo service center and request for a battery replacement? Please give me any possible reasons on why the laptop battery starts to drain fast and its battery wear level sharp increase, and also possible solutions for these issues. I would like to know more about it in order to sustain my laptop at least for a year.

I am more than happy to buy a new battery and install it myself as I got a fantastic deal on the laptop as is, but I was just curious if this may be a known issue that is software based as opposed to hardware based? I've recently (13th of April) bought new Yoga 530-14IKB. It has adequate CPU i3-8130U, which is faster than i5-6200U in my sister's Acer laptop, but I anyway don't play any games. Despite that, its battery life isn't good. It works about 3-3,5 hours in Chrome. I have brand new lenovo Yoga 15. From the first start up I am getting this error message: Battery Not Detected I don't know what is going on but this is a new machine right? Anyway, the laptop is connected 24/7 to AC, yesterday I needed to unplug it and after 5 minutes the system turned off. After turning it on I got this error screened: Critical low-battery error The thing is after I turned it on for the second time everything was great. The battery said that it's 100% charged. But after another 5 minutes or something the battery turned off again - WTH? Does the laptop's battery is broken and I need to give it for the guarantee?

Hi TomHG Which is the full model number of your machine? What I would try to do first is try to update the BIOS of your computer and the power related drivers just in case. But the message that is showing the problem on the BIOS (before Windows boot) it is not nice. I would try tp update the drivers with the following tools- Windows Update- Lenovo System Update- Install Lenovo Settings and Lenovo Companion.- Check on Lenovo Support site the driver for your model. If after updating the BIOS and power drivers of your computer the problem remains there, I will recommend to contact the Lenovo Support Center. If you are still under warranty Lenovo should fix it by replacing any part. Regards

Hi everyone! Is it ppossible to buy NEW battery form my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro 13 Notebook? It uses the L12M4P21. I looked at many places but all the batteries are made in 2003 or 2004. As I know they loose their performance if they sit on the shelf for many years... Is it possible to find really newly made original Lenovo battery for my laptop?

A:I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro 13, I need a new battery... but NEW, not battery that was made in 2004!

Hi Moksa,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

It may be hard to say as because of the age of the model but you can try calling in EMEA parts sales desk for your region (Hungary 30 722-37-91). On the battery sticker is also the battery manufacturer which you can try but I am not as optimistic for newer manufactured battery.

I would say that as long as they provide the standard battery one year warranty, then it would be a good option to go.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

My Yoga 3 pro is still a nightmare and so far is unusable given onging battery problems. However I digress. The thing wouldn't charge past 72% and took 2 days to get to that from 51%. So yet again I searched the net hoping to find something new and I noted yet another updated battery guage realeased only a few days ago. I also noted that someone had suggested deleting the windows battery drivers in Device Manager after disconnecting the battery which I figured couldn't hurt so went ahead. Once I reconnected the battery, plugged it in and waited for it to download the battery drivers, I noted it didn't install the ACPI component. Now lo and behold, I have no battery guage at all. In fact it says "The battery is not used", but of course it is. I then tried the latest battery guage driver but no improvement. Can anyone help in this age old problem? Cheers

My Yoga had a change of battery in warrenty time (after 3 years) due to a defect on the mainboard. After installation of the new battery, it took quite a certain time, till the battery was found and recharged. After recalibration I tested the new battery with the Lenovo Vantage tool, and it showed a quite good looking capactiy of the cell but a manufacturing date older than the Yoga (more than 3 years). While using the computer it seems as if the battery is worse than my 3 years old former battery. This one was able to last for 5 to 6 hours in normal use. The new one is more like 2 to 3 hours. Is it possible, that the battery was deep-discharged and the Lenovo Vantage tool did not get the right capacity? Is it normal, that a 3 year old battery is installed for a warranty battery replacement? Thanks for help! mark

I have an HP Pavillion 360 laptop that I purchased in November of 2014.  Battery went out in July of 2016.  I ordered a new one from HP on Aug. 5, 2016.  I received an email on Aug. 24th that said I should receive it on or about Aug. 28th.  So, when it didn't arrived by today I called them.  They have no idea why it did not ship, and they tell me that it is on back order, and have no idea when it will.  Is it always this tough to get an overly expensive part from HP?  Is there another source besides HP for my battery?  Obviously, I am rapidly losing confidence in HP, so when I have to replace another of my computers or printers, I may have to look to another company entirely.

A:Battery Replacement

Hallo 930211 Thanks for joining the HP forum, I would recommend you to this website link: http://partsurfer.hp.com/ where you will need to type in your Product name/number or your serial number. When take what country you are from and press on search. It's should find a list of parts you can buy to this computer with a price also. Thanks
