I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi, my daughter has the same problems with the flashing power button/not starting up anymore as described in numerous posts here on the forum. Lenovo said that they started up an investigation. But I haven't been able to find the outcome onof that investigation on the forum. So what are the findings on this annoying problem?

Purchased lenovo 900 series notebook four months back and it was normal untill three weeks when a new update for windows 10 came in. After the new update, whenever I pressed any function key(pressing fn key and button f9) for say send receive emails in outlook or even function f5 for refresh in chrome, entire keyboard stops working. I have to restart the laptop everytime this happens. Then the keyboard works until I press any function combo keys.  I resinatlled the keyboard drivers and updated it. Still it is not working. Then I installed the lenovo vantage app, tried changing hot keys to straight function keys, even then the keuboard stops working and I had to do the reboot stuff. Is there a solution to this problem? what is the issue? as it happened from windows update, am doubting whether this is the update issue or is it the keys are making the entire keyboard locking.... seriously am not able to comprehend the root cause. Can someone guide me

This is my first time posting; i was wondering if anyone would help me with my problem. I have a lenovo 3 2in1 14inch yoga series laptop and i have been very pleased with it up until now. Recently I have not been able to power it on with the power button. I think about 6 months ago, while in it's case I accidently bumped the side of it onto a desk, and every since it became increasingly more difficult to turn it on - I've had to apply more and more pressure to turn the  system on. I also noticed it had been more indented and pliable than originally but I gave no importance to it since I could still turn it on. This brings me to about a week ago when I could no longer to turn it on at all no matter how hard i tried. I wonder, short of short of getting another computer and since I have an an expired warranty, if I can find an easier solution to this problem. All possible solutions appreciated. Thank you!

Opened up the case housing the motherboard to get at the power to see if I could jimmy it a little bit because I couldn't turn it on. A while ago I accidentally bumped the 1yr old notebook in its case against the desk and since then was having difficulty turn it on needing a little more effort since the time I bought it. About a 3 weeks ago it wouldn't turn on no matter how hard I tried. When I posted a question on how to deal with the first answer was to open the casing to see if I could get at the button easier. I did that, after getting the smallest phillips screwdriver but wasn't able to get the button to work. It is somehow loose and not connecting. I also noticed that unscrewing the housing unit holding the motherboard might make it easier but I have not expertise in this and I don't want to mess things up. I wonder if anyone could get a help with this ,maybe a schematic showing me the parts of the housing unit so that I can unscrew it safely and not messing everything up or any other solution - short of taking it to a specialist. Any help very much appreciated. Thanks!

Is there a tried and proven solution out there? I have had a look at the solutions on the forum and am not satisfied that the solutions offered prove that the problem has been resolved. Since you have to hunt around different Lenovo sites (and other sites) to find out about these softwares, I decided to make a post to get feedback from actual Yoga owners on how these programs interact, what they do, which ones are prerequisite, and which ones are unnecessary. Please don't take this as a blanket answer. This is just what I have found. It might be right - it might be wrong. I'm looking for others to post their experiences as well. Lenovo System Interface Foundation Driver - Necessary prerequisite (missing driver in device manager without it). It allows the Lenovo Utility and Lenovo Companion to work. Lenovo Yoga Mode Control - Necessary if you want to use your yoga to seemlessly change between all the different modes (laptop, tablet, tent, stand). This software is responsible for autorotating and putting Windows into tablet mode. Lenovo Utility - Recommended(?) This one I'm not too sure on. I remember that I was missing some function that I wanted but I can't remember what it was now. Maybe battery cycle count and health? Lenovo Companion - I don't have this one installed and don't think it's necessary but would like someone else to shed some light here.

I ordered a replacement power jack connector E54926 and was able to remove laptop cover and attach the replacement. Now, when powered - I can see a very faint "LENOVO" logo and nothing afterwards. So, I am unsure where the problem could reside.  I tried increasing the brightness which didn't help. Could you please suggest how to troubleshoot further. Let me know and I can fill additional details. Thanks in advance

Just a heads-up: I bought this Lenovo Yoga 13 Ideapad in 2013, so it's out of warranty. Proceed to read my problem..... I always get a black screen whenever I shut off my laptop and turn it back on again, which is why I lock my laptop instead. But when I DO lock it and get back on it the next morning, I encounter the Black screen of death and instead of my lockscreen immediately appearing like normal after I lock it and have left it overnight & try to get on it, I have to shut down my laptop and turn it back on because my laptop won't immedately take me to the lock screen so I can log into my computer.  Today (March 17, 2017), I had to shut down and turn on my laptop while pressing the rotation button button or the OneKey Recovery button (the button with a circle and a line going through it; I don't know exactly what it's called, but I think it's the recovery button OR the screen rotation button, on the right hand side of the computer: If anyone knows the name of this button, please let me know!)..I tried this 5 times and It wouldn't turn on. The 6th time pressing the Recovery button OR the screen rotation button on the right side of the laptop (whatever it's called), it did work and now I'm on my laptop typing like normal. But this Lenovo Yoga Ideapad 13 only works when it wants to. Is there any proven fix to this hardware issue? I was told that it was a motherboad issue, but what's the real culprit? And is the motherboard what's actually giving me th... Read more

My Lenovo Yoga 900 has a cracked screen. I called Lenovo and the rep that I talked to told me they don't do repairs and told me to take it back to Best Buy or to another computer repair tech to have it repaired.   Best Buy said they couldn't replace the glass and neither could the tech that I took it to. This seems absurd.  Why would anyone pay over $1200 dollars for a laptop that can't be repaired if needed?  I'm at a loss, I don't know what to do and I want it fixed.  Does anyone have any suggestions? I just find it very hard to believe that Lenovo won't repair their own merchandise.

A:Can't get support for Lenovo 900 yoga

Who did you call?  If you have a nearby Lenovo Premier dealer near you, you might carry it in.  It certainly can be replaced.  (It might be expensive.) The manual indicates that the entire assembly (hinges, lid, etc.) are replaced as a unit, but I'm sure it can be taken apart, but I I have never done so I cannot describe it.  I have done similar models and they took less than 1/2 hour.  My guess is that it simply snaps together, but as I said, I haven't done it so I don't really know.

Hi, I bought my Lenovo Yoga 11e from Amazon. The specs of this laptop is 2016 model, 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM, Windows 10 64bit. I recently ran the Samsung Magician software and also Crystaldisk info software. It showed that the SSD is only running at 1.5Gbps though it is capable of SATA 2. The reason I did this benchmark on the laptop was because I frequently heard some noise from the speaker when steaming a youtube video. There seems to be some bottleneck with disk IO or maybe CPU. Memory is definitely sufficient for 4GB. Anyone has information how to upgrade to the SATA 2 interface would be greatly appreciated. I checked device manager that I am running the standard ACHI interface which I suppose comes with windows 10. Thank you!

Hello guys, I own a Lenovo Yoga 2 11" for two years and I hadn't met a problem with it since then. The last time I used my laptop (3 days ago) I started it with the power button normally and everything worked fine. But today, I tried to start it clicking the power button but it didn't work, tried many times and nothing. Then I clicked the Novo button and it started with the boot menu. The options "Starts Normally", "Boot Menu", "System Recovery" and etc showed up. So, I turned off my laptop and tried to turn it on again with the power button many times, but all of them failed and now it only starts with the Novo button. I would like to know if it is a confuguration problem or its a fisical problem (my power button just gone), or if Lenovo or Microsoft had dropped a update that change it or something else?. Thank you guys.

I recently purchased a Lenovo Ideacentre 700 series desktop computer from Best Buy.  Though the performance seems to be okay, I've found one 'feature' that is extremely frustrating...the motherboard has a proprietary PSU connector.  The 725W aftermarket PSU I purchased can't be installed because the Lenovo motherboard has a 10+4 pin connector for the PSU whereas the aftermarket PSU has a 'standard' 20+4 pin connector. Since Lenovo advertises this as an "Easy to Upgrade Powerhouse", do they sell an adapter to use aftermarket PSUs?!  If not, is anyone aware of an aftermarket solution that I can purchase?  I would think that enough people have encountered this issue that someone would offer a plug-and-play adapter cable. I've already reviewed the following post on this forum, but it primarily desribes a solution that involves cutting wires and using a paperclip as a jumper.  It also mentions a 24-to-10 pin ATX adapter cable at a site called Moddiy, but a later post says that this adapter unfortunately doesn't work.https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-E-H-K-M-Q-Y-and-ErazerX/IdeaCentre-700-10-Pin-Atx-Connector/td-p... Is anyone aware of an adpater that will work? Thanks in advance.

Last year I had the laptop sent to Lenovo to replace my screen because my brightness would not change. Since then, the wifi adapter would "disappear*" randomly, though not often, sand I would have to reinstall the intel WLAN drivers to fix it. I though it wasn't going to be a problem. However, in the past two days, the wifi driver would disappear every time I turn on the laptop. Reinstallation did not bring it back and repairs did not work. I had to resort to using an external wireless adapter. The volume down button seems to be stuck down, not physically but more like it was "stickied".*disappear- the drivers would be missing, not disabled. Device manager does not show a wifi adapter existing.

Hello everyone, I purchased Lenovo Yoga 900 Ideapad and I am currently using it in India. The power adapter seems to have gone bad and I wasn't able to charge the laptop with the given adapter.  Since the laptop is under warranty, I contacted the warranty help line only to know that I need to take the laptop to the service center. At a service center, no one really knew how the USB 3.0 charging port works and couldn't check whether the cable was short or the adapter had gone bad. Anyhow, they decided to replace it under warranty but again, they weren't sure when and if the replacement would arrive (as it depends on the inventory levels with Lenovo India).  An exclusive Lenovo shop then offered me an original Lenovo power adapter with USB 3.0 charging at USD 70 but only when it got delivered, I see that it is 40W and not 65W like the original one I had.  65W adapter - the USB 3.0 connecter (one which connects the laptop) is orange. The wall adapter doesn't heat up while laptop is charging.40W adapter - the USB 3.0 connecter is yellow. The wall adapter heats up quite a lot while the laptop is charging.  The Lenovo store representative has assured me that this is the right adapter but somehow I am not convinced.  Can the community throw some light on this:- Is it safe to use a 40W adapter for a 65W specification?- Is there any way I can get the adapter replaced by Lenovo US (I can ship the faulty adapter to US)?- I... So, my husband bought me a Lenovo Yoga Book last year for Christmas. I like it. I think it's cool to be able to draw on the paper (which is what I do traditionally) and have it show up digitized on the screen. I was able to do a couple of cool projects sketches on it, but I haven't used it to it's full potential I believe, so I put it down for a while. Then, I started to research different drawing apps, seeing all the amazing artwork that people were creating in these different apps and stuff, and it got me excited about going back to drawing on my Yoga Book. So, I went to try to draw in ArtRage, and when I would try to draw on the Wacom tablet with my pen, nothing would show up. However, when I would draw on the screen with my finger, everything showed just fine. I tried to update it several times, I tried starting it over, I tried using a different drawing app; NOTHING. The only time the pen would work on the Wacom Tablet is in Notesaver. Even if I had ArtRage open, anything that I try to write on the tablet will only come up in Notesaver. I wasn't trying to just factory reset it right off so I called technical support to see if there was anything that they would be able to do to fix it without me having to factory reset it.So, I called tech support and they told me that I would have to pay a fee of $40 to be escalated to their software support.
