I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Notebook model: 13-u105nl Memory and hdd Upgrade

The memory is upgradeable to 16 gigs of DDR4-2133 in 2 slots or 2 x 8 gig. It can take an M.2 mSSD drive, but only as an alternative to a regular 2.5 inch hard drive. There is a single bay and port and which drive you install depends on the adapter used. HP has not yet posted a Manual for the 13-u100 series but the Manual for the 13-u000 series is available and shows access to the M.2 slot and memory. Manual See pages 42 and 56. Memory upgrade is particularly challenging as it requires removal of the motherboard. Post back with any questions. If this is "the Answer" please click "Accept as Solution" to help others find it.

Hello, I just got an HP Pavilion X360 13-U105NL and I wanted to know how I can open it to change the HDD? This is a photo of the backside and the front of this laptop, I just managed to find 4 screws in the back (behind 4 rubbers) but that's it, can't see any other hidden screw. Maybe I have to remove the big rubbers that I highlited in yellow in the picture? Or there are just 4 screws so I can try to open it? The only guide I found was this one for the u100 series, but the backplate is totally different. Thanks for the help.

A:How to open an HP Pavilion X360 13-U105NL to upgrade the HDD...

This is the right manual: Manual See p. 37. You do have to remove the curved rubber feet. Be very, very careful. It is very easy to stretch those rubber feet out so you can't reuse them and they are very hard to find. You also need to know that opening it will put the warranty in jeopardy.  Post back if you have any more questions.  If this is "the Answer" please click "Accept as Solution" to help others find it.

I have HP pavilion g6 notebook. It is running on Windows 10. It has 4gb RAM & 500 GB HDD. I want to upgrade it with SDD to increase the processing speed to use my Laptop for computer aided drafting work. Wanted to know if SDD upgrade will help to speed up my Laptop?Which SDD's are compatible with my laptop?

A:SSD upgrade for HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC (2012 model)

SSD (solid state drive)...the only kind you can use is a 2.5 inch SATA type. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-75E250B-AM/dp/B00OAJ412U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=... This is the same size and shape as a laptop hard drive so is a drop-in replacement. Many ways to clone the software or reinstall but best to plan that in advance.  Will the SSD help with CAD type work? To some extent. The laptop will boot up much faster and programs will load much faster. However an SSD has no impact on computing work that is done in the CPU or GPU like gaming for example and 3D design work is similar to gaming in that way. Upgrading to 8 gigs of RAM would have perhaps a more positive impact on CAD.  The SSD upgrade is still very worthwhile in general.  If this is "the Answer" please click "Accept as Solution" to help others find it.

I am generally a Mac user, but wanted a PC to run a few apps I can't run on my Mac, and didn't want to partition my drive and use Boot Camp (I'd done this previously, and chose not to do it this time). A few days ago I purchased a Lenovo 110-15ISK laptop, model number 80UD0017US. I had been looking at an HP laptop, but read that it was not so user friendly when upgrading the RAM and hard drive, and passed on that one (for that specific reason), and saw this Lenovo in the local Best Buy on sale. I usually check things out pretty throughly before I purchase, but I have to admit, I didn't on this purchase. Although the laptop is nice, I was not pleased to find out that you pretty much have to disassemble half of the computer to be able to access the memory and hard drive. Not exactly what I was hoping for. Anyway, I've decided to leave the hard drive as is, since it's a 1TB (although I prefer SSD and upgraded my MacBook Pro to an SSD on day 1 and love it!). However, I definitely want to upgrade the RAM from 4GB. I was a little horrified to find out that the 4GB is soldered onto the motherboard, and that there's only one available slot for RAM. I've read up a bit on it, on both this forum and through Google and Bing searches, and it seems there are differing opinions on how much RAM this model can accept and still be stable. Some say it can take as much as a 16GB DDR4 stick bringing the memory up to 20GB, and some say that the max is a 4GB stick, bringing the RAM u... Read more

I have an HP Pavilion xf125 notebook, and would like to upgrade the memory. It has 384mb now. I don't know how much memory it will hold, or if it's even upgradable anymore since it's so old (2002 I think). The reason I want to upgrade is because it crashes pretty easy. I was thinking more memory would help solve this problem. Any advice would help... but no need to suggest I buy a new computer because I really don't use it all that much to justify the cost of a new one.

I also need a new battery for it, but don't really want to spend a lot... so looking for an inexpensive one. Not sure it's possible to find such a thing anymore. Yes, I have looked on HP's website and they don't have either memory or batteries for it.

Thanks for any helpful advice you can offer.

I have Samsung 4Gb DDR3L 1600Mhz RAM (M471B5173DB0) installed in my laptop - HP 15-r063tu Notebook. I want to upgrade the same with a Corsair 4Gb DDR3L 1600Mhz RAM (CMSO4GX3M1A1600C11), as the exact Samsung RAM is not available and is also about 40% more expensive than the Corsair / Transcend ones. Will my laptop motherboard &/ BIOS accept the above Corsair RAM alongwith the current Samsung one, or do I need to necessarily buy the exact Samsung make & model of RAM ? As the tech specs of the above Samsung & Corsair RAMs match, I assume they should work fine together, but am told that sometimes the motherboard &/ BIOS doesn't allow RAMs of different makes to be installed, even if their specs match. Would help if someone can confirm on this, so I can buy accordingly. Thanks a lot.

See pages 1-2 of the Manual here: Manual Says it has one user-accessible memory slot and takes up to 8 gigs of DDR3L-1600 which will clock down to 1333 speed.  See pages 62 and 65, however. Shows the single memory slot on the back of the motherboard. Requires motherboard removal to access the memory slot.  I think the "customer-accessible" description of the memory is likely a misprint but does give you some cover against a warranty issue if you do the upgrade. A:Why is it Important to Identify my Notebook Model

If you don't identify a notebook with its complete model number or product number, it takes us extra time to get that information from you.  A question that could take even less than a minute to answer could take quite some time while we try our best to get the information we need from you. We need to have an accurate picture of your notebook's hardware configuration or we will be working in the dark.  A complete model number or product number gives us that. We prefer the product number unless you happen to know the complete model number. HP has produced and marketed hundreds of different types of some notebook models. That is the reason that stating that you have an HP\Compaq CQ62 notebook is not specific enough. One type may have a different CPU or chipset than the other. That means that the drivers are not one type fits all because they are chipset or device specific. "How do I find my model number" Use System Information to find your model and product number Use the HP Support Assistant to find your model and product number Use the BIOS System Information to find your model and product number Use the product identification label to find your model and product number   HP Pavilion 15 bottom close-up. A:Can I add bluetooth to my hp 15 notebook PC, model 15-g039wm

The most common use of bluetooth is to sync data with a phone which you can do with usb or to attach a bluetooth mouse or keyboard or headset like if you wanted to do Rosetta Stone or something like that. It is not used to network with other computers, usually. If you have never actually used bluetooth I can't see why you need to have it. If you feel you are missing something the really easy way to add bluetooth is with a very cheap usb bluetooth dongle.  $10 on amazon.com The other method would involve removing and replacing the wireless card to install one that does both wi-fi and bluetooth. It would cost maybe $40-50 for the card but is not an easy task on your model of laptop. There is no easy access door and would require fairly complete disassembly and would jeopardize the warranty.  Bluetooth is a premium feature usually not provided at the low end of laptop price points, such as Wal-Mart models.  If this is "the Answer" please click "Accept as Solution" to help others find it.

Hello, I have a HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC (Model 17-j000eb). I have a HDD disk of 1TB in the primary slot. I have also a second slot. I want to put there an SSD. My only question is, how do I know what type of connection that I have to order? Which things are important to watch out when I order an SSD for this notebook? I will also need an adapter + cable. I assume that the cable to the HDDII port has to be a lot less long then for the HDDI port.I want to do this action because the laptop is going slower and slower. So on the SSD I want to put on the operating system and want to use the HDD as data disk only. Can you help me about this? Thanks in advance

A:Add SSD to HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC (Model 17-j000eb)

Hi, Firstly you need a caddy and cable before you can add. Please check availability from the following site:                http://www.newmodeus.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=498 After that, my suggestion: Clone existing HDD to new SSD, can be same size or smaller (capacity) depending on your existing data/files on HDD now,Swap SSD and HDD. All normal 2.5" SSD's for laptops use same connectors as normal 2.5" HDD's for laptops  Format the old HDD and put it on the second slot/bay.I believe this is a quickest way to get everything works. Regards.

I see there's a wireless light at the top of the keyboard that is constantly on. White light is 'normal' mode on, red light is 'airplane mode' on. Am I correct in assuming that I'm not actually connected to the internet, and that no one can access my equipment, unless I activate my Firefox browser??

A:HP notebook model 15-F211WM with Windows 10

You are possably connected and that has nothing to do with the browser. But what is your problem ??

Hi there,

I've recently upgraded from my Satellite Pro M40 to a L650 because the M40 died.
I was wondering if I could use the ram that I put in it, into the L650?

I'm guessing it won't, but thought I'd ask just in case.

Thanks

A:Will RAM from Satellite Pro M40 fit L650 notebook model?

Sorry but I don?t know why this combination. Max RAM on M40 is 2x1GB and I think you have in L650 2x2GB. Right?

It is not logic to me.
I don?t know which L650 do you have exactly but some models can be upgraded up to 8GB so it will be better for you to upgrade L650 with one 4GB RAM. Part number is PA3677U-1M4G.

By the way: there is different bus clock so on new notebook you should use compatible and faster modules only.

Hi, I haven't had success using a SIM card in the SIM slot. The model in question doesn't recognize the SIM and doesn't do anything. Already have installed all known to man drivers but still it isn't working... I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue or if the model does in fact have the possibility to use a SIM card. Thanks!

You're very welcome. There should be an easy way to tell... Go to the device manager, and click to expand the Network Adapters device category. You will see the Intel ethernet (wired network) adapter listed there. You will see some model wireless network adapter listed there and if the notebook has a WWAN card, you will see a model WWAN network adapter listed there. One of these two... HP lt4120 Qualcomm® Snapdragon X5 LTE Mobile Broadband ModuleHP hs3110 HSPA+ Intel® Mobile Broadband Module

High all
Can anyone tell me how to tell what the model I have? I am trying to download the drivers for my machine but am not sure what series / model it is.

I have the following information on the base of the machine:

TOSIBA Tecra 8200
Model No: PT820E-05WQT-E
Serial No: 61276516G ST820-0

It is a Pentium 3 machine but is it an: A / M / R / S series? Then what model do I select after that please?

Thanks.

A:Tecra 8200 - Which notebook Model number do I have?

Your Tecra is simply Tecra 8200 and there is no other model number.
Drivers you can find on Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads but under Product type you must choose option ARCHIVE.

Then you will find option for Tecra 8200.

Good luck!
