After I use Thunderbolt 3 eGPU I cannot use external display with Quadro M1000M- P50 Windows 10

Q: After I use Thunderbolt 3 eGPU I cannot use external display with Quadro M1000M- P50 Windows 10

Has anyone experienced this issue below? I disable my internal Quadro M1000M, I plug in my eGPU (AORUS 1070 Gaming Box) via Thunderbolt, use it for a while. Then when I'm done using it, I unplug it, re-enable my Quadro M1000M and plug in my external monitor via HDMI. The display driver crashes for both my Quadro M1000M and my Intel HD Graphics 530 and the external monitor never works. Microsoft starts a Microsoft Basic Display Driver. I tried disabling and re-enabling both display adapters but external monitor still won't work, it just crashes the adapters again. The only fix to this issue I have found is to uninstall the Quadro M1000M in the device manager and restart the computer. Then after it restarts, I can use the external monitor again with the Quadro M1000M. So it's easy to do and not a huge pain in the butt, but if anyone knows a way to fix this issue without needing to restart my computer, that would be a great help.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

I have a Lenovo P50 with the NVIDIA Quadro M1000M installed. I want to run an accelerated Windows VM under Linux by passing through the GPU and using the Intel HD Graphics GPU under Linux. Unfortunately, both QEMU and Xen fail to read the VBIOS (Video ROM) when starting up the Windows VM. I am inquiring about reading the VBIOS under Linux or downloading a VBIOS that I can use with QEMU. My QEMU command line is:sudo qemu-system-x86_64 \-serial none \-parallel none \-nodefaults \-nodefconfig \-no-user-config \-name Windows \-enable-kvm \-cpu host \-m 4096 -mem-prealloc \-vga none -M q35 \-rtc base=localtime, clock=host, driftfix=none \-net none \-device ich9-usb-uhci3,id=uhci -device usb-ehci,id=ehci -device nec-usb-xhci,id=xhci \-device vfio-pci,host=01:00.0,addr=09.0 \-drive if=pflash,format=raw,readonly,file=/usr/share/ovmf/x64/ovmf_code_x64.bin \-drive if=pflash,format=raw,file=/tmp/ovmf_vars_x64.bin \-drive if=virtio, format=raw, file=Windows.img

All websites have the base model of the P50 with 2GB of VRAM. I recently place an order for the P50 and saw that it says in the manifest that the M1000M has 4GB of VRAM. Is this some typographical error ?

A:Quadro M1000M VRAM

don't know what your seeing, but yes that number would be wrong .. the manifest I saw after ordering had missing stuff and wrong information but when I called the guy on the phone saw everything correclty. m1000m is 2 m2000m is 4 http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-Quadro-M1000M.151582.0.html

I have recently purchased a YOGA 920 and a HP Omen egpu enclosure. I am having problem connecting it to my laptop.
First, I tried both port, there's the sound of connect and disconnect, and nothing shows on the laptop, and the laptop is not charging.
I have tried with power cable connected, and now it was connected. The egpu still was not charging (no power delivery), and it only works one port 2 (port closer to touch pad) with charger connected to port 1. If I switch them, the laptop goes blue scree. I can remove the power after it is connected but then there is no power supply.
It is kind of similar to the issue as MrKnowNothing https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/YOGA-920-Thunderbolt-3-Port-No-devices-fou....
I have tried different drivers but all of them do not work. I have updated BIOS and Type-C firmware from Lenovo to the most recent version.
One more thing. Is it normal that thunderbolt controller is not showing up in device manager when nothing is connected?
I have tried it with my friend?s xps, it works perfectly, basically plug and play.
I think it is not supposed to work like this and the egpu should have power delivery to my laptop. Even if there is no power delivery, it should still connect without power adapter connected. Is this hardware problem or driver problem? Is there anyone else have similar problems?

guess its not compatible with hp omen? ;(I was hoping to be able to charge and also use the thunderbolt output at same time so I can connect at least one 4K monitor to each port and still charge

I got a Thinkpad P50 not too long ago and I've tried to search around but I don't understand laptop GPUs very well. My question is this- if I upgrade my ram from 8GB will my Quadro M1000M also get a larger shared memory pool for VRAM? Hopefully I'm using the correct terminology here... lol. I just want a bit of a performance jump for texture sizes in games, etc.

I'm unable to get the 3D stereographics to work for my new Precision 5510, which comes with the discrete  NVIDIA Quadro M1000M graphics card.
The graphics card is supposed to support 3D Vision.  I bought a 3D Vision 2 kit, with the IR emitter and glasses.  I am using the ASUS VG278 LCD monitor, ensuring that it's at 120 Hz.
I also am using the Thunderbolt Dock - TB15 with 240W Adapter.  I have a StarTech DisplayPort to Dual Link Active Adaptor connected to the TB15, which then connects to the ASUS VG278 through a dual link DVI cable.
I've updated all the latest TB15 drivers and 5510 laptop drivers.
When I power on the system, the green light from the NVIDIA emitter is the steady green light glow.  I can not figure out how to get the 3D stereo graphics to turn on.  After a few minutes, the emitter starts flashing to the bright intense green light, then turns off the light altogether.  I've been tinkering for a month and can't get it to work.
My last laptop was an HP, which I was able to get configured for 3D Vision.  I am very familiar with the NVIDIA Control Panel.
I'm using the same software for 3D stereographics on this new Dell 5510 as I was on my HP.  Both laptops use discrete NVIDIA graphics cards that are meant for 3D Vision stereographics.

Hi; I just got a P50 EQ20 with M1000M video (I believe). This seemed to be working o.k. until I tried installing the Lenovo video drivers from the Lenovo P50 download site. The 'ThinkPad Video Features (NVIDIA N16S / Quadro N16P) for Windows 10 (64-bit) - ThinkPad P50' ones. (These say they are version ''.) After that, the Thinkpad display had a serious display problem. Even though it appeared that the resolution was still set to 1920x1080, everything was compacted down to the maybe the middle quarter of the laptops screen. There were large black bars at the top bottom left and right of the actual area being shown. This made everything very small and mostly illegible. With some great effort, and some guessing at what I was actually selecting, I was able to uninstall the new drivers and everything is working again (apparently with the older drivers). Are these the right drivers and do they work for everyone else? They seem to be the same ones listed if I run 'Lenovo Companion'/'Lenovo system update'. But, trying to install this from there results in a 'failed install' for some reason. I am currently running Windows 10 1703 and again using the Nvidia driver I have it set in BIOS to 'Discreet mode', so I think it is only using the Nvidia drivers. It is booting in Secure boot/UEFI only. The BIOS is 1.43. Thanks;

I just purchased a Dell Precision 5510 with a Xeon CPU and the Quadro GPU: http://www.ebay.com/itm/291755935648
I plan on promptly upgrading the SSD to a PCIe NVMe SSD if it does not have one, the 16GB RAM is fine for now but I like that I have the option to go up to 32GB when I choose to.
I had some questions for anyone who is using this for more intense work in 3D or digital imaging, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information out there except that the Quadro 1000m is mostly better than a GTX 960-970m GeForce card because most 3D software is more compatible with it and it is more efficient in rendering which means better performance overall – is this true or just marketing for a lower powered GPU?
I mainly use Maya, Cinema 4D, After Effects and Photoshop in my workflow, most of the work is performed by the CPU but a decent GPU helps to boost render times with certain software and plugins for said software.
I read that the Xeon CPU is built for 24/7 high load server work and enterprise solutions and that it is more effective at heat dissipation than a GeForce variant. I really liked the idea of the laptop handling heat and performace better in this workstation type of a laptop, I plan to keep it cooled with a pad because I know that rendering can be a huge task for most laptops. What I gathered from that info is that I could use this for rendering and not really worry about frying the mobo like might happen with an i7 and GTX combina... Read more

Hello everyone, At the end of last year I bought a bunch of Carbon X1 7th Generation laptops for our office, and several of these are suffering from the issue that is also described in these threads: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-X-Series-Laptops/X1-Carbon-6th-gen-HDMI-not-working/td-p/40915... https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-X-Series-Laptops/X1-Carbon-6th-Gen-HDMI-Not-Working-and-Thunde... Basically, the laptops will occasionally cease to recognise external displays, and when this happens Thunderbolt has also gone missing. The top thread mentions that firmware has been released in June that should solve the issue (post 41), but as far as I can see our systems are currently up to date according to Vantage with Thunderbolt driver 1.41.729.0 installed, and the problem persists. (Granted, the thread was about 6th gen, and I am not sure how relevant it is for 7th gen laptops). Another solution mentioned in the same thread is to reset the laptop with the small button on the bottom. This does indeed solve the problem, but only temporarily - after a while, the issue returns. What I am therefore looking for is a permanent fix for this problem, but since I am out of ideas myself, I am hoping that someone here might have another suggestion. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks!

Hello, I'll be getting the new Thinkpad P52 mobile workstation soon and wanted to know (as I couldn't find this anywhere and this model is really new) - will it support connection of external GPUs (egpu) through one of it's Thunderbolt 3 ports? If so, are there any significant performance or heating limitations relating to this sort of usage for example for high-end gaming or 3D modeling applications? (assuming I don't use the internal dedicated Quadro P2000 gpu for this), are there such limitations on the external GPU itself?  (type, compatability etc.) Thanks!

I've recently been looking into buying an eGPU Enclosure such as the AKiTiO Node or the Razer Core. I've updated all the firmware and now I am running Thunderbolt Software Version The Node and Core both specify that the computer needs to both have Thunderbolt 3 (which I have) and be compatible with external graphics. What does this mean? I have Thunderbolt 3, so wouldn't it be theoretically possible to run external graphics provided the firmware was up to date?
So in summary, my main question is this: Will/can the Dell XPS 13 9350 be able to use eGPU enclosures over Thunderbolt 3 now (or in the future if there is firmware updates being planned)?

Folks - Just wanted to share the early results of my experiment with adding a Thunderbolt 3 eGPU enclosure to my T570 laptop. I just got this up and running, but everything operates mostly as expected so far. The only negative items so far are that my Ultradock does not have a Thunderbolt 3 port, so I must connect the TB3 cable directly to the laptop. Also, when cold booting with the laptop installed on the dock, the bitlocker password screen will not display on monitors attached to eGPU. I have a P1 GEN2 OLED. While the internet is flooded with complaints of the OLED screen itself, the thunderbolt 3 port of my P1 GEN2 magically stopped working for no reason.  I have been using the laptop with an external display ever since I got the laptop. All went well. Suddenly from yesterday, the external display starts turning into a blue sreen with "NO SIGNAL" shown on it.  I had a windows cumulcative update (KB4532693) and windows security update (KB4524244) yesterday and I suspected that the update might be the culprit. I rolled back the OS. No change. Still NO SIGNAL.  I searched this Forum. Played with Thunderbold 3 menu in the Bios. Everything was enabled and every single option of "security level" was tried. Still NO SIGNAL.  I checked Intel Mangaement Engine software. It is already the latest version. Reinstalled it. Still NO SIGNAL.  I checked Nvidia driver. Latest version already.  In sum, the problem is: the thunderbolt port is still able to power the extenal display but just simply does not pass signal to the external display. HDMI port, however, still passes signal if use an HDMI cable.  I want to give it a shot here to see if anyone has experienced similar issues and how they sovled the problem before I call Lenovo technical support, the staff of which does not seem to know more than some people here on this Forum.

Hi, I'm having issues with my external 4k display to only be able to operate at 30Hz. I have my laptop connected to a generation 2 Thunderbolt 3 dock via the provided cable, and from there I have tried both DisplayPort and HDMI cables (several) to connect to my display. All the technical information I have seen says that my laptop plus the dock should be able to operate at 60Hz even at this resolution, but I'm unable to lock down the settings that enable me to do that. I have pulled the latest BIOS, TB3 FW, display drivers, Intel chipset drivers from the product page.My screen is: AOC U3277FWQ if that matters. I'm running Windows 10 Pro 1809. Has anyone battled with the same issue? I'm running out of ideas on how to solve this. The HDMI port on the side is apparently only 1.4 so this would only support the [email protected], but I'm not using it at the moment. If I set the screen to 1920x1080, I can set the resolution to 60Hz. Best regards,_tero

I've had my x1 yoga 3rd gen for about a year now, and love it. I've been using a thunderbolt 3 eGPU dock (aorus 1070 gaming box) as a dock for about the same amount of time now, since it gives me the convenience power and portability. Other than the occasional visual glitches and restarts, I haven't had any issues when I unplug my laptop from the eGPU dock, or plugging it in. However, yesterday after I unplugged my laptop from the eGPU dock, my laptop kept making a "connected USB" and "disconnected USB" sound. It looked like my Thunderbolt 3 software app kept crashing and rebooting. I also noticed that none of my usb c/thunderbolt 3 ports were working; the laptop says it's charging with nothing plugged in, and when I tried plugging in a charger, it wouldn't charge. The only solution I found was to disable Thunderbolt 3 in the BIOS, but I'm not sure if this is a software issue, or if there's a part of my motherboard that's fried. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for troubleshooting?

I have a brand new Yoga 730-15IWL, unboxed, fully updated via Windows Update, and manually installed drivers using Lenovo System Update and Windows Update (Device Manager). I also have an Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti connected to a Sonnet Breakaway Box 650 (the 650 is the wattage of the PSU). After connecting the eGPU and installing the latest Nvidia drivers, my system periodically experiences a permanent "hard lock" that can only be solved by power cycling the system. The mouse cursor, keyboard and screen all stop responding forever until power cycled. Out of the box, I was using the latest 17.x Thunderbolt driver series (non-DCH). I upgraded my Thunderbolt driver to DCH. My Intel IGP and Nvidia graphics driver are both DCH now, as well as the Thunderbolt driver. But the problem still persists. The DCH drivers for the IGP and Nvidia card were automatically installed; I did not choose DCH specifically. The Thunderbolt controller is PCI ID 15BF, and NVM version 11. Is there a newer NVM available for the 15BF? Out of curiosity, I tried the ThinkPad T480 firmware package for the 15BF, and it failed saying the PM driver is not loaded. I assume I can't install the power management driver in question because the Yoga 730 doesn't have the same PM chip as the ThinkPad T480. Anything else I can do to troubleshoot this? I'm 99.9% sure this isn't the eGPU or Nvidia card, because they work fine (no stability issues) when attached to a 2018 Razer Blade 15.

I knocked together an eGPU for my Thinkpad Yoga 370 today with an AKiTiO Node, a NVidia GTX 1050 and a thunderbolt 3 cable.it was all literally plug & play. Spent:  Node eGPU box $240, Refurb NVidia 1050 card, $135, spare thunderbolt cable, $25, upgraded RAM to 16GB DDR4, $160. Put it all together, plugged in T3 cable from PC to Node Box, HDMI from Node box to Lenovo 4K monitior.  Windows recognized new GPU and I loaded the drivers from NVidia.  Windows users the eGPU to drive the external monitor at 2560x1440, Intel integrated GPU drives the laptop panel at the same time.  Works as advertised, no issues.   I tested the setup by rendering video with Corel Video Studio Pro 2018 and the eGPU doesn't even breathe hard.  Ran DCS world (combat flight sim) on Steam (which wouldn't even load prior) and it works flawlessly on high graphics settings.  I'm a terrible pilot, but the visuals are pretty amazing. If you have any questions let me know but this was super easy. Pictures at this link: https://photos.app.goo.gl/kJP4LXCXcxwyXBAC2

Once I've plug in an exteternal monitor into the built in HDMI port or the display port or 15 pin connector on the HP 150 Thunderbolt docking station and extending the displays, the streaming services  only play back audio. There are no errors presented. The video is just black. It does not matter if I am using the Microsoft Store Netflix application of running it from a browser. I should mention this is true no matter which screen is the main screen.  Disconnening the montitors does not fix the issue alone. I need to disconnect the second monitor, logoff and log back in. All thread around Netflix issues point to the need to updated display drivers but I've checked an have the latest. I've also looked at setting in the Nvideo Control panel and do not see anything relevant.  I am running windows XP Professional 64bit, I7, 16GB Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Rick

Hello,I'm interested in buying the new x1 yoga when it becomes available.  I'm a graduate student and my focus is in deep learning.  I'm aware that there are other options available (NVIDIA built in), but I am interested in the portability of the X1.  I'm also aware that transfer speeds can be a problem when using an eGPU but it's my understanding thunderbolt3 could be "fast enough" for this application.Would I be able to do cuda programming with the x1 and an eGPU like the razer core + titan x though the thunderbolt 3 port? Thanks!

I am trying to use a 3rd party external GPU enclosure that attaches via thunderbolt, and when attached, I got the message pop-up that external GPU support was not enabled by the vendor, and as such the device will likely not work? Has Dell locked the Latitude 7480 down to no external GPU support?

A:Latitude 7480 - Thunderbolt 3 - Thunderbolt software say external GPU support not enabled?

Probably.  I read somewhere that since Dell is pushing their Alienware external GPU stuff that uses a proprietary connection, they never enabled external GPU support via Thunderbolt.

I have no problem using "expended desk top" mode. All windows programs run correctly and can be placed and viewed on either screen.
However attempting to run and view simulatenously a DOS application on one screen and a Win application on the other will only display properly if the DOS application is viewed in the "minimized" mode.
If the DOS application is maximized (Alt+Enter), it seems that my "expended desk top" mode switches to "clone mode". Monitor 1 and 2 now show the same full size DOS screen and this is the problem I would like to resolve.

Is this a hardware/software limitation or am I overlooking something in the set-up to acheive what I am trying to achieve? Any help will be appreciated.

A:NVIDIA Quadro display limitation, DOS & Windows applications

I do believe it is a limitation of the software/hardware. You will have to use that DOS command in a windowed mode. I can't really tell if it's MS or nVidia to blame for that "problem" but you can always try to contact nVidia & tell them about it.

So I've had two of this model give me the same issues. When booting the display shows the Dell logo and the Windows logo and then goes black. You can hear the Windows chimes but there is no display.
If the lid is closed and the computer goes to sleep then is reopened the log on screen is shown.
We have tried re-image and reinstalling all drivers in the proper order.
Updating BIOS and making sure that the video settings are correct.
No matter what we do every time the computer is booted the logon screen is black.

whats up guys!

so i have a dell studio 1458 Laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 540v graphics card and im getting tired of not being able to play games on quality settings and good FPS, so im going to start an eGPU build for my computer.

after i return some other failed attempts to upgrade my GPU, ill have $160 to work with. so with this in mind i will be getting a PE4L adapter kit, and an ATI 6670 Desktop GPU. together this totals for me $161 shipped.

you can use other GPU's with a higher wattage PSU with that kit because it comes with the adapter for a PSU, but the 6670 is good because it wont bottleneck my CPU, and has good specs and low power consumption (15-20v 3A 65W if using something other then a computer PSU).

for the power supply, i will be using a IBM laptop charger PSU.

i will also need an external monitor, so for now, my 1080p TV will work for this until i get a monitor. (17"-20" 720 or 1080 or 900)

now my laptop has an express slot, so the PE4L adapter and kit will plug rite into that, then the power supply into the adapter, graphics card into adapter. then all you have to do is plug in monitor, turn on the eGPU, boot up windows, and then finally plug in adapter into computer. windows install hardware automatically, then you will have to install Graphics driver from the suppliers website, then reboot. if need be, you may have to disable internal graphics in device manager.

from what ive researched, this is what... Read more

No doubt the GPUs can drive it, but your limiting factor will be how HP implemented the DisplayPort.  I'd say give it a shot, and post back.  Technically it should work, however some laptops have been known to have "slight variances" in their Display Ports (even when complying w/ certain version standards). Assuming HP didn't do anything funny, you should be good to go, wish i could give you a definate answer .

So I have just acquired a little desktop PC that has this card in it but im not really sure about it, I have done a bit of googling but I don't understand the purpose or the price tag of this card.

I should say that I am not a gamer and have never owned any sort of performance gfx card other than basic display when a machine has no onboard gfx. The machine this card is in has a good spec i7 3770, 16gb ram, Samsung 840 pro SSD etc and was used in retail premises to drive a large screen advertisement (46-48 inch ish).

I need to remove it from the machine as it is an itx based system and this card is absolutely filling the case edge to edge and I want to add an optical drive and second storage drive if I can fit it in

If anyone knows about this card or has any info they can enlighten me with I would be very grateful.
Do I keep it/sell it, can I game with it ?

A:Quadro K4000 quad display gfx card

The NVIDIA Quadro K4000 is a workstation video card and is similar to a GeForce GTX 780

You can game on it but expect the performance to be a little bit slower because it only runs great on OpenGL

or you could sell it for a good deal

Hi all,
I have a Precision 5510 with Intel Integrated graphics and Nvidia M1000M.  Everything has worked fine until this morning when I updated my Windows 10 using the routine Windows updater.  Now, I am unable to open the Nvidia Control Panel or select applications to use the more powerful Nvidia graphics card.  The system acts like it does not recognize the card.  All my drivers and BIOS are up to date, but I reinstalled my Nvidia drivers nonetheless (from Dell) using a clean install.  Still no luck.  I also ran the component troubleshooter and it was able to test the card, but I wasn't ever given a report on it's status because the browser froze while the report was being generated.

Has anyone experienced similar issues?  I really need to be able to run the Nvidia card on my machine to power some graphics intensive operations.  Any suggestions are appreciated.

A:Nvidia M1000M not recognized after Windows 10 Anniversary Update

Hi again,
Just a quick follow-up, I checked the BIOS settings and only the integrated Intel graphics card is shown yet the Nvidia card still is recognized in the device manager (even though I can't use it).  I'm at a loss what is wrong and I just hope the card itself or the motherboard are not malfunctioning.

I have a T61 (bought in Aug 2007) with Nvidia NVS Quadro 140M. I am consistently having display problems with the screen suddenly going green (?). On restart the BIOS itself shows a corrupted image (half screen blue, half red) and some random characters. This only happens if I use the PC over 15 mins. Once it gets a chance to cool down, it goes back to normal working condition. My warranty expired around one month ago and ever since I am seeing this problem. Can someone suggest what could be going wrong.Thanks.

A:T61 Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M.. garbled display probl...

if already the bios sreen is garbled and if a cool system resolves the problem, it seems you have
a faulty Nvida GPU, it´s a G64 Chip in your gfx card and Nvdia´s G64 cannot cope
with normal heat. This problem is known by Nvidia.
I would call Lenovo and tell them your problem.

Hi All, I have a P50 ThinkPad 20EN-CT01WW with a NVIDIA Quadro M2000M that looks like it should support stereo. I am hooking it up to a BenQ projector and trying to use DLP Link for stereo viewing. I have looked through some documentation and have not found any text indicating that stereo is possible with a P50 ThinkPad even with a Quardbuffered card. I have used two different applications that I know provide stereo support for testing, so I don't think it is the application. I have tried a couple different drivers from both Lenovo and NVIDIA with no success. All the settings in the NVIDIA control panel are set to allow stereo at the correct resolution and refresh rate for the projector. The projector is set to the correct resolution and 3D method as specified in the user manual. The farthest I can get is showing a double image on the laptop screen.  Does anyone know if these laptops are actually capable of driving a stereo projector? Or has anyone successfully achieved this? Thanks,

Several months ago I installed Vista Ultimate x64 as a 2nd OS (with XP Pro kept as the previous OS) in a dual boot system. There have been major problems with the display driver of the Vista OS from day-1 of the installation. I initially thought that improved nVidia x64 drivers would solve the problem when they were released but none have and I've tried them all, including the Betas. I'm currently running nVidia Forceware Release 160, v160.02 June 5, 2007.

The display driver issue manifests itself in many ways. For example, I cannot play any video (DVD discs or avi files). It either won't play at all or is extremely jumpy. I've tried many different software players and none work. It's not a codec issue either. If I disable the nVidia display driver, the video will play normally. Another example, Outlook doesn't refresh the screen properly but, again, if I disable the nVidia driver, Outlook works OK. The same for some Photoshop CS3 problems; they disappear if I disable the nVidia driver.

The Windows Experience Index will not calculate at all with the FX4400 driver enabled. It reports an error and will not run. It reports an error to the effect that some hardware or device driver is not responding. If I disable the nVidia driver and run the Windows Experience Index, I get 5.2 and above for CPU, Memory and RAM. I get 1.0 for the graphics (to be expected I guess without the nVidia driver) but at least this shows the other components are OK.

M6700 doesnot show anything on the screen.
here's what i did:
Installed windows 10 in UEFI enabled and Legacy ROM enabled.
After installation, Secure boot.
Blank Screen Now.
Tried reset by removing CMOS battery. no luck
Need Help.

A:Dell M6700 Nvidia Quadro K4000M No display After Secure Boot

So i managed to solve the problem.
There are issues with K4000m running in secure boot. You must not disable legacy boot rom.
If you have no display at all here is the painful solution:
Make sure you can open the notebook and put it back together again. (Use an anti-static band etc). remember the screw type and locations etc. refer to a manual or take it to a technician.
So, you will have top open up the whole laptop. remove the Graphics card, remove the screen connectors and connect the laptop to an external display via d-sub (VGA) port. You have a display now. Go to the BIOS and disable secure boot and enable Legacy boot ROM.
Put back the graphics card and everything is back in place.
Recommended BIOS: A15, Still dont use secure boot.
I think the K4000m did not have an EFI rom boot. So hence no display.
Hope it helps anyone having the same problem.
