Howdy all! I was here in the past a while ago with getting semi-frequent BSODs on boot after the splash and login screen. The issue I found was a loose power connector. I snugged it in place, and then my system is fine for many months (maybe four or five). Now this morning, I had quite a few BSODs after the splash screen and logging onto my computer. I was finally able to get a successful boot after many attempts. I checked power connections, tried to make the connections secure, yet still got BSODs. Dump is attached. You guys are awesome. I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

Hello my name is Josh I have followed your instructions on the BSOD posting instructions and will attach the logs for review.

The computer is sporadic sometimes it will bsod almost immediately launching almost any game wow,steam games,ect even sometimes just launching the web. Other times it will run for hours without bsod then suddenly crash. I've seen it get to the desktop and bsod 5-6 times in a row. Very random from what I can tell its not linked to a specific application.

Any help is greatly appreciated at this point i'm thinking its probly a hardware failure of some sort. Pinning it down would be helpful.

Hello Kevin and welcome to Seven Forums.

Couple of things I'd like you to do that will help this Forum help you.
1. Fill in your system specs so all info is in one place.
System Info - See Your System Specs
2. Set up your machine to generate dump files.
Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD
3. Follow the BSOD posting instructions.

Each BSOD generates a specific error code or stop code that tries to identify the underlying cause(s). Multiple BSODs can each be caused by different problems. The error codes will be included in the dump files. Without those codes it will be a guessing game trying to figure out what is affecting your computer.

In the meantime you can try some general troubleshooting steps. Check for damaged or corrupt system files by running a system file checker scan from an elevated command prompt (option two.) If problems are found, run the scan 3 times and reboot your computer after each scan.

Check your hard drive for problems by running Check Disk.

Multiple BSODs since > 2 months. Most often atikmdag.sys causing it, but lately multiple other drivers invovled. Tried upgrading/downgrading graphics drivers, chipset drivers, tried updating BIOS, tried manually installing AMD drivers. chdsk without errors, sfc scan without errors, anti-virus scans without errors, memtest for 4 h without errors. Furmark benchmark 3 h without errors.
The most common trigger for the BSOD is scrolling a web page (not during benchmarks or playing games)! Disabling harware acceleration did not help either.

Max temp on Furmark - 72 C
Max temp on Prime95 Blend 8 tests - CPU 74 C

Any help would be much appreciated! Things are getting desperate!

The 5 most recent are caused by memory corruption (probably a driver-My bet is avg)

I notice your AVG which is often at least a contributing cause of BSOD'S . Please remove and replace your AVG with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

Download tools and utilities | AVG Worldwide

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

These crashes were caused by memory corruption (probably a driver). Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

If you are overclocking anything reset to default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!!!
1-Memtest.

-I purchased the hardware & assembled my machine in late December 2011
-Full Retail version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
-Multiple (at least 4) clean installations of the OS over the past 6 months, all BSODing
-Initial OS installations (at least 2 from Dec. to Feb.) were performed on a WD hdd...all had BSOD problems
-RAM: In January performed "stick by stick" & "slot by slot" testing with Memtest86+. No reported errors on Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600 CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B
-SSD: This latest clean OS installation is the 2nd clean OS installation onto a Samsung 128GB SSD 830 Series purchased & installed in late February & updated to the latest FW update (CXM03B1Q) prior to any OS installations. Using the latest Samsung SSD Magician software & its OS optimization

Hi there!

So I've been getting multiple BSODs over the past few months during general use. I've gotten several different stop error codes that I will list below, as well as uploading the zip file as per the posting instructions.

System thread exception not handled
Page fault in nonpaged area,

Any and all help is very appreciated! I've tried updating drivers and running memtest, but the problems still persist.

Welcome to the 8forums.

It appears I cannot read the latest dump file, this could be caused by hardware damage. I think the hard drive might be causing this.
The 2nd most recent dump file says there might be memory corruption.

The BSOD's happen while I'm browsing the internet or playing games. I've seen IRQL Less then or equal to and one which referenced Direct X in the last 3 days. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

The fresh install was prompted by a video card overheating (running at 84C in a freshly turned on computer) and having to replace Mobo, CPU, RAM, and video card - as it had burned out the pci-e port on the old mobo

Good day,

I have been away on vacation for 2 months and after I've come back, my pc went to hell :D

These are the problems im facing :

The PC BSODs after putting pressure on it. Mainly - games.

Firstly ALL of them simply crash, browser ones - shockwave has crashed.
Minecraft - java crashed.
Guild Wars 2 - crash, etc etc.

Now if I put even more pressure than just try playing them, for example run a minecraft server AND play in it - I BSOD.

Now a day back it was alot worse - I would BSOD minutes after startup without doing a thing! So I took measure :

1. Updated all my drivers.
2. Ran a virus scan (clean)
3. Ran a Malware scan (1 malware file)
4. Used Registry Mechanic to its full power.

All of these seem to have helped to getting me able to use the pc just fine if I dont game.

Now what I suspect is a RAM failure. I ran a Memtest and it came out with 29 errors after one run.

I'm new to the forums and also am using Windows XP SP3 so I dont know what error info and how to give you :( If you specify and instruct -ill get you the logs.

Computer :
Inter(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
E4600 @2.40GHz
2.40 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM
Physical Adress Extension.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 video card (only half a year old)
The computer itself is a dazzling 5 years old, had my last OS reinstall half a year back too.

Also - its not the heating, I've cleaned all the dust and checked the temperature for quite a while - its stable all the time, even under stress.

Hi there this is my first post on these forums so apologies if I'm not too familiar with the layout. I'm not too computer savy so if anyone could try simplify any answers/solutions that would be great. Basically the problem is for the past few months around start up of windows 7 I was getting freezes, BSOD errors (in particular IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL and Page_fault_in_non_paged_area being the main ones) and my pc would be in a continuous loop of booting then freezing or shutting down and I couldn't get the pc to work. I thought the problem could be corrupted windows files so I reinstalled windows onto my computer using the isntallation disk and installed drivers and all was working fine for around 4 days. Each day my windows would have importaint updates so I installed them when prompted. One day I all of a sudden started getting the same errors I got before, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGEED_AREA and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL and no new software had been installed at this point. I have tested ram and my hard drive with no errors showing although when looking at properties of my computer I have 20GB of ram (16GB Available) not sure if this has anything to do with it (2 x 8 GB sticks 1 X 4 GB stick). Hopefully you guys can help me out and prevent me shelling out on a new rig. Thank you, Conor .

Before the reformat/reinstall, I accrued similar BSOD error codes as attached. I'll note that the frequency of BSODs has gone down considerably since I reformatted/reinstalled (Instead of once maybe 5-12 hours of activity, now its closer to once per 24-30 hours).
 
I've run various versions of MemTest86 (As well as Window's Memory Diagnostic Tool) while swapping the sticks around, checking each pairs, different slots and different combinations, all of which have resulted in no errors. I'll be running MemTest again as soon as Driver Verifier is complete. I have run SSDLife on both SSDs with no errors in both SMART and file system integrity (I can include logs if need be), I'll be running health checks on my HDD but recent checks on both SMART and file system integrity (As of Dec 2015) came back clean.

5 months of Multiple BSODs on a brand new computer - driver or hardware error? Mini dump analysis help please.

Hi, I?m looking for anyone who can analyse mini dumps and help me determine the source of my problems.

The system has been giving me hell from the start. The problem often manifests in different driver and memory errors - To my level of understanding the errors seem to be fairly unrelated. When it runs well it?s awesome and it really performs. When it starts messing up, that?s it, it might BSOD on every start up 5times in a row and then start working for no apparent reason.

I ruled out: faulty PSU and faulty RAM, and system always runs cool, (the hottest component being the fanless graphics card).

I have also run extensive tests on system hard drive:
Seatools returned no errors after firmware upgrade and 2 long tests. However DiskCheckup keeps changing its mind out predicted TEC date: it jumps from Jan 2010 too Aug 2011 either of which is unacceptable and well within manufacture warranty

Reinstalled windows countless times with different installation CDs

So that leaves MOBO, CPU, GPU or maybe some software of driver issue.

I feel that it must be hardware related but I can?t work out what it is, on top of that the faults are often intermittent making trial and error testing unreliable. i can get windows started now, but trying to do anything beyond the basic will crash the computer. trying to open google chrome, plugging in my ipod, trying to zip up 2 folders....all of these crash the computer.

So i purchased an XPS 8910, an i got it yesterday, The video card worked perfectly all day up until i moved it, it didnt work. However i moved it back to its orginal spot an it worked fine for the entire night, However when i tryed to boot this morning it would not use my GPU, instead it would only use my motherboard slot. I looked in device manager an my gpu is not showing up. Im not really sure what to do about this

My gaming PC was working fine until this morning. I booted my PC and it failed to boot properly. I tried again and it posted and booted without issue so I thought nothing of it. I tried to play Dark Souls this afternoon and it wouldn't load. Knowing that this game relies on Games for Windows Live and that GFWL is often the cause of many problems, I tried to uninstall and reinstall. Ever since then, my PC has been unable to boot normally.
I can boot into safe mode just fine and I have scanned using Malware Bytes. It found 1 seemingly benign object which was removed, but the issue continues to happen.
On a couple of different occasions, I was able to boot using the "last known working configuration," but even this seems to be failing now.
I noticed that Windows installed a Windows Defender update this morning, about an hour before I tried to boot the PC. This is the only change that I know of. 
I have tried repeatedly to use the Startup Repair, but it says the issue cannot be resolved and it asks me to restore the system back to a working point. But it appears I don't have any restore points (even though I thought Windows automatically created these periodically). When I view the log of the Startup Repair, it says that it is looking through the Windows directory in the D:// or F:// drives - but my Windows is installed on C://
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can post whatever else you need, be it specs, test results, etc.

A:Everything was working fine until this morning - now safe mode is only option.

Try performing a Clean Boot to see if this is a Service or a Startup item.

Warning:  Disabling items in Services or Startup may leave your anitivius disabled until the process is ended.  For this reason I would suggest that you perform this process off line.

(2)  When msconfig is seen in the pane above the search box and under Programs, right click on it, then click on Run as administrator.
 

 
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you should enter the password or provide confirmation. 
 
(1)  Click on the General tab.   
 
(2)  Click the Selective startup option. 
 
(3)  Remove the check mark in the Load startup items  check box.

This has happened twice. It started last week while running itunes (playing music) and nothing else. happened again last night, also same scenario.

For no apparent reason (machine is less than a year old) the computer will go to a blank, black screen and the message "operating system not found" will appear. I press and hold the power button to turn it off, I turn it right back on, and it's fine.

I did get a BSOD last night, but itunes wasn't running and I had just connected my GPS running watch through USB. I can't tell if these are related, of course.

I run MS Security Essentials as my only virus protection, and yesterday I ran a Spybot scan which found nothing but a few tracking cookies. If there are log files that someone can point me to, I'm happy to post them.

Hello !! Welcome to SF !!

Go to your BIOS setting and check the boot order make sure Hard disk is selected first. I have seen if the boot order is different sometimes we used to have this problem. Make sure your USB is never plugged it while rebooting the System.

I have a serious problem. My computer keeps crashing over, and over again. The errors it's thrown are listed below. I've googled them but am confused as to what the problem really is. Have you tried a reformat. It helps me out all the time, just reformat your harddrive and see what happens. A new format and clean install of your OS will do wonders. :hotbounce

Was installed as an upgrade from XP I believe (was a while ago so cant remember exactly).
The hardware is around 2 years old now and the OS was installed soon after that.

Intel i7 Q720
4GB RAM (2x2gb)
Win 7 Pro 64bit (build 7600 6.1)

The laptop crashes with BSOD around 10 times a day now, says 'MEMORY MANAGEMENT' error usually. I guessed it's ram but wanted an expert opinion before buying new sticks.

Dear community,

For the last month or so, I have been having days where there would be multiple BSODs in a row and I can not even use my laptop properly. Now I don't know enough about computers to be able to fix this problem myself, and that is why I've come here to ask for help.

Today I have been getting multiple BSODs, like:
aswvmm.sys / aswbidsha.sys / ntfs.sys / win32k.sys and wdf0100
And also a lot on 0x00001E / 0x0000007E / 0x00000024 and on 0x0000003B
Each with different messages like SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION or IRQL_NOT LESS OR EQUAL and many more.

After googling a bit and running different memtests, RAM tests, chkdsk, virus scans, malware scans and upgrading my drivers using DriverBooster 4.4, I am still getting blue screens, random crashes or restarts on my laptop. By now I'm at the end of my tries and so I've come here to ask for help.

Not all bluescreens have gotten to a full 100 complete dump, but I have added all 3 minidump files into a zip file, I have attached my system.nfo and I have made a snapshot with Speccy of my computer stats.

My system specs are:
ASUS K55VD laptop
Model number: R500V
Intel Core i7 3610QM @ 2.30 GHZ
RAM 6G DDR3

Hi Folks,
I upgraded to Win10 a while back and have had BSOD almost every day (usually several).
I did also install 16gb of RAM at a similar time so was wondering if that may be related.

I seem to get most BSODs when using my GFX intensive CAD package but even chrome can trigger it.
It seems that my GFX is twitchy about using new drivers and BSODs are more frequent with any new driver.

Any help would be useful as I really dont know what to do.

I put together this computer about a year ago. It's waranty hasn't expired yet. We took it to a repair center and they reinstalled the OS and said it works fine, next day I started getting BSODs again.

I allways get around 4-5 BSODs at start-up, but also when opening a program or a game, after returning from stand-by, and sometimes without doing anything.

I checked the memory, I ran stress tests on the CPU and Video board, reseting BIOS and installing other OS. I could not install Windows XP due to BSODs at the 3rd step.


Here is my PC configuration:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Motherboard ACER G33T-AM
Memory DDR2 size: 2048 MB (Single channel)
Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT

I have atached the BSOD dump files and perfmon/report file.

Printers are loaded and working, but when I print I get this message. Syasb before I can print I need to select a printer. As you can see, the window in the upper left shows no printers. I will re-boot and it might work once, then it prints out part of an PDF and I am stuck. The part of a PDF I am having problems with is the one were I first got the problem today.

Sounds sketchy I know, but hopeing it makes sens to somebody!

Hey,

I built this computer ~12 months ago. Everything had been working just fine till yesterday. BSOD came up. I've done the following

Ran Kaspersky Virus scan off USB boot key - Clean
Ran Chkdsk on main drive, found a few problems and fixed
Using Windows 7 boot cd, did system restore from a few days ago.

Now the computer boots to the log in screen, then locks up after i enter my password.

Wanted to add, just started running Memtest86+. Need to read more about understanding memory dumps. Not sure yet how to tell if one is pointing to bad memory.

A:BSOD, Working Fine for months now this

The only thing listed as probable cause are Windows OS drivers and usually they are too general to be of much use for diagnostic purposes.

The fact that you ran Check Disk and there were a few problems lends me to advise that you use the harddrive diagnostic utility from your harddrive manufacture.

Burn it to a CD, place your DVD drive as First bootable in the BIOS, place CD in drive and reboot. Make sure you especially do the long test.

My computer is about 14 months old. It was working fine and running all games with max settings at 60 fps (which is the highest my monitor will allow) until about a week ago. I purchased a game called Xsyon and after a day or two I noticed some graphics lag. I did not test it on any other game at this time. I noticed my video driver was out of date and installed the newest one. I then tried to play Civilization 5 and noticed a severe slowdown. I had to change all settings to low for it to run at 60 fps. Even on med, it only gets about 30. I thought maybe it was a virus (although CPU usage when idle is always under 4% usually 0% and RAM is about 1.5g out of 8, so I didn't THINK it was a virus, but who knows) Did full scan with AVG and found nothing. Uninstalled AVG and downloaded and installed Avira. Full scan found nothing. Downloaded and installed Malewarebytes and full scan found 4 errors which were resolved and now it finds no errors. The problem persisted. I uninstalled Xsyon and Civ 5. Uninstalled the driver. Went to safe mode, used driversweeper and installed previous driver. Rebooted to normal mode, reinstalled Civ 5 and the problem persisted. Uninstalled previous driver, went to safe mode, used driversweeper and installed new driver again. Uninstalled and reinstalled Civ 5 again. Problem persisted. I have read some on other forums about my PSU not being the best.

A:Slow FPS after 14 months of working fine

Updating drivers is not very often a good idea. With graphics in particular, though you may need to install a different driver for new features or compatibility with a particular game, the newer the driver, the less it is going to be backward-compatible with older cards and the more it will be compatible with the newest ones. If you got good speed with the older driver, you most likely should have kept it (and can roll back to it at any time).

When a problem occurs, solutions are made more difficult when things that have not changed, and therefore could not be involved with the problem, are themselves altered. A new problem means there is something new going on, not that the old and tested components have suddenly started to cause trouble.

Sudden slowdowns of almost any type are usually malware-related. Try scanning with a couple different tools.

I'm not sure what's causing the crash. It happens randomly. Generally after a few hours of use. Many things can trigger it - watching a movie, playing games, and the last one - trying to shut down.

► First, Disable Hardware Acceleration in IE9.

► Then, uninstall nvidia display driver, and reinstall it.
Download and install |MG| Driver Fusion (Driver Sweeper) 1.1.1 Download.
Reboot the computer in Advanced Boot Options, safe mode. Search Driver Fusion in your start menu, and remove all components of your nVidia display driver.
Boot normally now. Go to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers, follow option two to search for the appropriate driver for your system automatically, and install it.
Let us know the situation after that.

I have a Samsung RF510 laptop; really nice and plays games nicely, but as of yesterday I've had a problem.

Whenever -anything- that runs causing the fan to start roaring and the vents to get hot, the laptop will suddenly shut down after just 10 minutes. It could be games, I could be rendering a video in sony vegas, doesn't matter.

Thing is, the corner where the vents were would always get really hot on my laptop and this has never posed a problem before; only now it is suddenly shutting down. It's never done this before yesterday, and I mean never. Even a week straight of 5 hours of Borderlands on max settings every night never caused an issue.

Would blowing compressed air into the vents help? Is there a known issue (I did LOTS of searching all day, though it only found people with similar problems who haven't fixed them)? should I try something else completely?

I would appreciate any advice! I can provide additional specs if necessary.

Compressed air might help. Is this notebook on a flat surface when you use it? Try not to use these thing on bed covers and sheets.

Hi guys, I have this PC with this spec:

My problem is that my PC starts to give me sudden shut down problem. no warning, no nothing, just shut down like when we pull the power plug.

I went to the shop where I bought this PC to check for any hard drive error, and they said nothing is wrong with it. they gave me a new power cable, the PC lasted for a 1 or 2 days without the problem.

And then now it started to give me this problem all over again.

Any comments or speculation on where the problem is?
anything i need to know to fix this?

A:Sudden shut down problem after not being turned on for 2 months

It could be any number of issues. What are your system temperatures? Sudden shut-downs can be caused by an overheating CPU.

Use HWMonitor to check your temps. If they're under control then it may be a problem with the PSU.

Never tried using a forum before so please excuse me if I do something wrong.
I'm desperate.
I built this PC with a little help from a computer savant. He helped me chose the pieces and I put it together. It's about 15 months old. Recently it fried the main SSD from which the OS booted (after 11 months of use). It was of course my fault for filling the SSD more than 80% (I have no computer certifications, I go by instinct most of the time and then learn the hard way) ... so it wouldn't surprise me if I have something to do with the computer failing so much now.
I've also had the feeling that my system has never really ran at full potential.
I think my BIOS settings need seen to as well. It's all on "default", when I think they can be tuned according to the components... but I don't know how to do that

Iv'e been suffering from bsod since shortly after build, done lots of re instals, different discs,every,test Ican find no change memtest (ok) memtest 86 older version (ok).
When I run Mem86_4 ALL of the sticks fail at test 7 (block movement ?) in every
configuration, 4,2x2, single, tried them all.
She does run in safemode with networking,but bsod on normal start.
I'm using my laptop for this.
I think I really need help here

Seems you've got back sticks of RAM, just buy new RAM and it'll be fine
Test each stick separately to identify the defective one(s)

Good and Free system security combination.
Download and install the security setup of your choice, update the software, and then run a full scan of your system for viruses and malware. If you only install MSE, I would also suggest installing and updating Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware, anti-virus and spyware removal download, but do not start the free trial/full version of Malwarebytes. Run a full scan with Malwarebytes after updating it. Post back the results.


Which ASUS P5K motherboard do you have installed? Please fill in your system specs more accurately by using System Info - See Your System Specs as a guide. Fill the specs in on your profile, not in a post in this thread.

Sorry for all the text and thanks for reading in advance.

BSODs are random, it can be just browsing chrome or in the middle of a game. I've attached my most recent dumps. Strange things that my computer does that are worth noting is random extensions crash on chrome, and sometimes chrome just closes at a random time and won't open back up until I restart my computer. Some games(overwatch is the most consistent in crashing but it's still random) randomly crash so I thought it might have been my video card, but I run Unigine perfectly fine with alright temperatures in the max settings. Also when chrome crashes sometimes when I go to restart my computer that's when I'll get a bluescreen. Just before I started writing this my chrome closed so I had to restart and got the damn BSOD. Sometimes I will go to restart or shutdown and it just gets stuck on shutting down.

It's like sometimes I am certain that is has to be a driver, other times I am not sure at all, and then something else a little different will happen and then I'm certain it's hardware. I can't pin it down at all.

I'm on my 3rd set of ram, chkdsk and memtest both come back with zero problems. I want to list everything I've done but to be honest over the course of half a year, I can't even remember half of the things.

Reinstalled Windows 10+ times, used DDU in safe mode (cant load safe mode anymore) to remove AMD drivers and reinstalled the latest, around 10-15 times. Bought a new and more powerful... Read more

Hey everyone, i've been having the same BSOD ever since I got my new computer in November last year.

After repeatedly getting the 'A clock interval was not recieved on a secondary processor' BSOD a million times, I decided to send my processor back to ebuyer who said it was faulty and sent me a new one. I've also reinstalled windows completely as well as take out all parts to clean them.

Unfortunately this still hasnt solved my problem out like i'd hoped. The bluescreens are less frequent but still a nuisance when I'm trying to do my university work. It also crashes randomly sometimes without a bluescreen error.

I found a post here and read about running my minidump files through Microsoft's debugger but the setup just failed so I find myself begging for someone to take a look at my minidump files and potentially find me an answer to this frustrating problem.

The crashes typically occur when doing very small tasks like clicking a button in 3DS max, links on firefox. It seems to happen when it's loading something within an application its more likely to crash. People i've spoke to about it think it could be the motherboard but i've updated the bios. I'll also include my system hardware in this post:

What is the make and model of your hard drives? Are you over-clocking? The minidumps are extremely vague, ntoskrnl.exe with no BUG Check Screen. Have you checked the hard drive for errors?

Alright guys,

Hope you all can help me sort this out since it's driving me crazy. Back in December of 2011, I overhauled my gaming rig with a new power supply (750W Silverstone Strider Gold), a new CPU (Core 2 Quad Extreme 9650), a new video card (EVGA GTX570 Superclocked), a new audio card (Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty), an additional 2 x 2gb of G.SKILL DDR2 800 Pi RAM for a total of 8gb, and a new Corsair case (not that this should matter). The additional ram was matched with an older 2 x 2gb set of G.SKILL Pi RAM. According to the manufacturer, the only thing that was changed between the two sets was the heat spreader. Additionally, I'm running Vista Ultimate x64.

My machine hummed along awesomely for about 5 months. Then back in May of this year, I started getting random crashes in World of Warcraft and Battlefield 3. At first, I would just crash to the desktop, but then this devolved into total BSOD system crashes. The stop messages include the following: CACHE_MANAGER, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE, POOL_CORRUPTION_IN_FILE_AREA, INTERRUPT_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED.

-So far I've done an SFC /SCANNOW, which comes back with the corruption of a couple files every time I run it. The corrupted file is inetres.admx and inetres.adml

A:Random BSODs for the last 4 months

Welcome
First we do not have any current dump reports, the most current is several months old, I do not know what happened to the most current dmp reports.
That being said, if I do not read any of your narrative, my first thought would be that this is a hardware problem. There is an ocassional reference to memory. That is all that your reports indicate.
Now based upon that information and the fact that using 4 sticks you had 1000 errors, I would conclude that this is a memory problem. In fact one failed memtest indicates memory problem and the sticks shold be changed.
My inclination is that your specific problem is that the 4 sticks do not play nicely together, which is often the case when you mix and match and do not buy all the sticks at once. The only thing that I can suggest from your post and the test results is that you test the machine using different ram.
This does not seem to be a problem that will be solved by reinstalling, Vista or any other OS.

Run a virus scan with your Anti Virus and then download and run Malwarebytes anti malware.

Stress test your graphics card with Furmark

I recommend running it for around 30 minutes



   Warning

Furmark will increase the temperature of your GPU rapidly so keep and eye on your temperatures

Memtest86 will test your RAM



   Information

Run Memtest86 for at least 8 passes so we get enough information to confirm that your RAM isn't failing

Run a Disk Check to scan for errors



   Note

Afterwards go into an Elevated Command Prompt (Run as administrator) and type in sfc /scannow
If it finds errors reboot and run the scan two more times

Run SeaTools to see if your HDD or SSD is failing

Back in May I went through quite a few rounds of troubleshooting here for BSOD's that had been occurring. (Search for my previous threads to see that.) I ran memtest for 8 hours and had no errors, updated a bunch of drivers, etc. Since then I have had almost no issues... until a couple of days ago. Now it seems suddenly I am getting BSOD's very frequently - sometimes multiple times a day. There is no obvious pattern as to what triggers them. Sometimes I am using Eclipse (Java IDE). Sometimes I am reading email on Outlook. Etc. I have attached the zip file with all the dumps from the very latest BSOD. I can attach others if needed. Perhaps someone here will see an issue that I can fix. Thanks!

A:BSODs recurring after a few months with few or none

First off, the G750 series has had some issues with video card problems (both with overheating and with failing cards). Stay aware of this while you're troubleshooting.

This is most likely the Intel(R) Management Engine Interface Driver. Please download and install the latest, Win8.1 compatible version available from the Asus website.

Out of 6 memory dumps there were 5 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- dirt/dust/hair/fur/crud inside the case. Blow out the case/vents with canned air (DO NOT use an air compressor or vacuum as they can cause damage to the system)
- missing Windows Updates
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers), older systems, or even pirated systems
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostic... Read more

You definitely need to reduce the items you got on start-up.

Perform a Clean boot:Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
Reduce items at start-up. No software except anti-virus is required plus doing this improves the time for logging into windows:How to Change, Add, or Remove Startup Programs in Windows 7
Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:Click on the
Type CMD on Search
Left click and Run as Administrator
Type SFC /scannow

Run Disk Check on your Hard Drive for file system errors and bad sectors on it.

I've been getting seemingly random BSODs on my Win8.1 box for months now. There are several different errors that show up, and most of them seem to point to the drivers. I have no idea which driver could be causing the issue though, as I've reinstalled the majority of them.

A few I can remember:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NON_EXECUTE_MEMORY
TIMER_OR_DPC_INVALID

Bluescreenview points at ntoskrnl.exe for nearly every one of them, though some have others thrown in as well such as usbehci.sys, dgxkrnl.sys, and ndis.sys

I'm at a loss of what to do at this point. Some days I only get one BSOD, other days I get 5+. It's really starting to be an issue.

MSINFO32 report is missing. Please do this:





MSINFO32:
Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Also, save a copy as a .txt file and include it also (it's much more difficult to read, but we have greater success in getting the info from it).

If you're having difficulties with the format, please open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type (or copy/paste) "msinfo32 /nfo %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\TEST.NFO" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Then navigate to Desktop to retrieve the TEST.NFO file. If you have difficulties with making this work, please post back. Then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

Hello all. I've been getting blue screen crashes for months (a check in my event viewer shows they started around January). Only recently did I decide enough was enough and to start looking into them.

Primarily, they manifest as STOP 0x109 errors, but there have also been a couple 0x1e errors and a few others show up once. I tried to enable driver verifier, as my research led me to believe that this was a driver error modifying the windows kernel. However, every time I tried to enable it and reboot, I would get a 0xc9 error. I found the erroneous driver that was causing this issue and deleted it, but upon digging back into the original repeated 0x109 errors I kept coming across the following in WinDbg:

"BugCheck 109, {a3a039d8a54ad540, 0, b266a988baa6cd90, 101}

Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt+76e80 )"

A quick google search yielded that this is the NT Kernel Multiprocessor, and that this showing up is something of a red herring - that is to say, it's an inconclusive cause for the issue. So, I'm hoping someone can help me out and point me in the right direction to determine what hardware is causing this issue (as I am now fairly certain it's a hardware issue, since it's not a specific driver being returned).

Ever since I built this PC I've had BSODs every so often. I've not been able to trace them to any particular source, but lately they seem to be getting a lot more frequent and I am getting fed up, so I figured I would try asking here.

I've used the SF Diagnostic Tool to gather the requested information and attach it to this thread.

The most recent one seems to suggest a problem with the CPU. It's been suggested to me that my CPU might need a microcode update - I installed SiSoft Sandra Lite which is able to check the CPU microcode level and indeed it does suggest it isn't on the latest version, but as far as I can tell there is no procedure for manually updating microcode, you just have to wait and hope it comes down through Windows Update or something.

Can anyone help?

Finally caught one of the errors

12gb ddr3 ocz 1600mhz ram sometimes it shows 10gb and sometimes it shows 12 not sure if it's taking 2gb of my ram to make extra vram
ocz vertex 2, 1tb hitachi 7.2k rpm hdd.

So I've been having these random restarts and bsods for a hell of a long time and I just want to get to the end of it. It is probably my motherboard because the northbridge always hits 70-80*C anyways, my other thought would be my ram but who knows, I haven't tested the ram yet though.

I included a couple extra minidumps I had sitting in my minidump folder. The one on 5/3/2012 at 11:18 PM is the BSOD I got with Driver Verifier.

A little history, I've never had problems with my computer for over a year now. It's only been recently, as in 3 to 4 months ago, that I've started to get blue screens. At first it wasn't a big problem, then I started to get them more frequently after another month. I thought it was my RAM, so I purchased new RAM, Corsair Vengeance 8GB. I stopped blue screening for a while, then the intensity and frequency of the blue screens went through the roof, literally skyrocketed. I couldn't go a day without getting at LEAST 3 to 4 blue screens. I changed my RAM back to the pair I was using before, and I don't blue screen not nearly as much as I did.

Before I did that though, I formatted my harddrive and re-installed my OS. hoping that would solve any problems. It didn't, I'm still blue screening at least once a day. I've ran memtest on both my sets of ram. Corsair Vengeance failed miserably, while my Corsair XMS3 4GB passed. I'm not sure what to believe is causing my blue screens. I have been struggling with BSODs for months and months and I am about to start selling my computer as scrap, I just don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
I have run memtest and other similar stress tests a million times, nothing seems to be wrong.
I have installed and re-installed windows like 4 times. I have tested different ram. I have tried with on-board graphics and with a graphics card.

By chance is your security software McAfee? This program has been known to contribute to BSOD.
