I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Suddenly pens stopped working. My trackpad settings were also defaulted, so I updated all my drivers and even the wacom drivers, but neither pen works on my machine. The pen works perfectly fine on the other machine so I don't think it's a battery issue on the pen

Before my question,  I just bought the newly-released X1 Yoga and not sure if I should be in the "X1" or "Yoga" forum. The digital pen that comes with the machine is too small to use for taking notes. So I ordered 3 different "ThinkPad" digital pens on Amazon and none will work.  I can't find any specs on Lenovo that explain which Wacom pens to use (it's clear Wacom would be the obvious choice because the machine has Wacom software pre-loaded). But even Wacom's site isn't clear...it shows only one pen that's compatible with ThinkPad products but it's not for sale on their site OR ANY OTHER SITE. Where do I get a regular sized digital pen/stylus for the ThinkPad X1 Yoga?

Bluetooth doesn't work for me after a Windows update. I'm wondering if there's a blutetooth on/off toggle button somewhere I'm not aware of (the way there's a key on the keyboard for toggling on/off airplane, or adjust volume, screen brightness, etc.). I can't find one, but I'm wondering if it accidentally got switched off. I've tried all those quick keys above the normal qwerty keyboard, and tried all the function keys, and none of them seem to turn Bluetooth on. Is there something more (annoyingly) subtle than that?

Hi, I've been using a Logitech K830 BT keyboard with a Yoga 920 that had upgrades with Win10 Pro 1803 & Intel 8265 Wireless LAN card. The keyboard has been working fine with the Yoga 920 before and after all the upgrades, with an exception: 'it has to be turned off and turned back on after computer sleep in order to reconnect'.  Therefore, it won't wake up the computer as the BT mouse does.It is not something serious, but I've been looking all over for the answer without any result. The question: is this normal for the BT mouse to wake up computer but not the BT keyboard (in my case, it is a Logitech K830)?Thanks

I'm at my wits' end here. My Bluetooth device disappeared from my Windows 10 OS computer sometime last week (maybe earlier, I'm honestly not sure). It doesn't appear in the notification center or device manager. There is no on/off switch in settings. It's impossible to connect new devices. I've done a clean install with no results. I downloaded the newest driver package from Intel's site and the Bluetooth device reappeared, but wouldn't connect, and running the troubleshooter resulted in a "Bluetooth radio fixed" confirmation, but still wouldn't connect. Upon uninstalling the latest from Intel (20.50), I got an error when attempting to install drivers from Lenovo's site (photo attached). I've uninstalled and reinstalled all Intel network adapters, drivers, and software. I've run the troubleshooter on Bluetooth as well as Hardware and Devices. I don't know what else I can do here apart from a BIOS reset, but even that is supposedly up to date.  Lenovo Service Bridge says all my software and hardware is fine, that my drivers are all up to date. What else can I do? I've attempted every fix I can find on the web and still nothing.

A:Bluetooth gone on Yoga 900-13ISK

The device is there when I view hidden devices, but not still not appearing in notification center and there is no on switch in settings. When I run the troubleshooter it just says that there's no bluetooth on this computer and I need and external Bluetooth.

For months this has been driving me crazy. I get it to work and then it turns itself off for no apparent reason. It takes a lot of trial & error, several updates and resets until I get it to work but I don't know how/why. I managed to find the Bluetooth in the Device Manager list and update the driver for Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R). It actually downloaded and installed a driver (at least that's what the screen/progress bar showed). I tried updating the drivers for all other bluetooth devices and in every case it said that the most updated driver was installed. When I try to see the properties of the main Bluetooth device/header, there's nothing there. Of course, I ran the system update in the Lenovo Vantage app, and the Windows update. Any ideas of what's going on? Thanks a lot! BTW, the model is 20JDCT01WW.

Hi,Just purchased and received a P40 Yoga.  Nicely equipped and a very nice machine.I am having two issues out of the box so far, the first of which is problems with Bluetooth. I am using bt to connect to Microsoft Designer mouse and keyboard.  I'm able to connect fine initially and use mouse and keyboard.  Also able to connect to other devices like my iphone, etc no problem. But then at seemingly random times, though it always happens in any extended use of the computer, at least once per hour or so, the mouse and keyboard (and seemingly all bt communication) stop responding.  I can look at the windows bt settings and it still shows as connected but nothing is registering.  When the bt seemingly freezes like this it also does not find any new devices to connect to even when they are discoverable.  Each time this has happened I've tried turning bt off and back on and then reconnecting but no success.  BUT, if I turn airplane mode on ( so turn both bt and wifi off) then the mouse and keyboard will function again.  I've tried turning just the bt off and it seems to not want to switch to off, the toggle will go to off but then switch back to on on its own but still not able to connect.  But if I click the toggle in the bt settings menu a few times, eventually it will turn off and stay off, and then if i turn bt back on again the peripherals start to work again.  Also, if I switch into airplane mode, to turn bt and wifi off, ... I recently acquired a Thinkpad yoga 15 laptop and while playing with the options I realised it completely lacked Bluetooth functionality. I have tried updating the Intel PROSet Bluetooth software, updating the network adapter drivers, disabling the adapter altogether and reenabling it through the BIOS. I don't know if the Bluetooth adapter is supposed to appear as a different adapter in the Device Manager or if only the Intel Dual-Band AC 7265 is supposed to show up (under the Advanced tab, Bluetooth is labeled as Active). I have been experiencing bluetooth connectivity issues with my new X1 Yoga 3rd Gen, wondering if anyone else is seeing this.  Specifically I am using the thinkpad compact bluetooth keyboard and the thinkpad x1 wireless touch mouse (in bluetooth mode).  What happens is that every few hours, both devices lose connectivity suddenly.  When I go to the bluetooth settings on my X1, it shows both devices as "connected" -- but the light is blinking on the keyboard as if it is searching for a connection.  The only way I can get them back is by using the laptop trackpad to disable and re-enable bluetooth, at which time both devices connect again. I've tried a few different solutions, disabling power management, turning off the option that allows the computer to power down each of the bluetooth devices, and even reinstalling the intel bluetooth driver.  No luck. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this / have any suggestions on what could be the issue? Thanks in advance.

Similar problem here.  Yoga 900 just a couple of months old, and I decided to try a bluetooth mouse.  It connected and worked just fine for a couple of minutes and then stopped.  Windows still says the mouse is paired and connected, but it doesnt work.  Turn bluetooth off, turn mouse off, remove mouse from bluetooth devices, re pair mouse and it works for a couple of minutes and then stops.  Lather, rinse, repeat.  I'm hoping this is a Windows problem and not a Lenovo problem, but if anyone finds a solution I would love to hear it.

I am the owner of Yoga 2 Pro and I have been using the integrated bluetooth that came with it to connect to a HC-05 Bluetooth module and that worked well for a while. After an update or something, my laptop decided to just stop being able to connect to the HC-05 module. In the add a device menu, the HC-05 name can clearly be seen but when the device is selected to open it just continues to load to no avail. And of course, the Bluetooth is on, I have verified that. It is not the module because I have two modules and cannot connect to either. And my friends my friends can connect.  Another detail:Because I was doing this for a project for someone who may not have integrated Bluetooth, I also purchased a Bluetooth dongle and connected to the HC-05 using the dongle and was able to connect using that. When the Bluetooth stopped working, I was no longer able to connect via the dongle and since have uninstalled it. What have I tried:I uninstalled and reinstalled the Bluetooth drivers twice and do not know any other possibilities. If anyone could give me guidance in troubleshooting methods or has experience with this I would appreciate the help.

If so does this mean the antenna have a problem now?Is there a way to troubleshoot this? maybe by checking speed on Wifi and bluetooth.

Hi

I odn't have that model, but just in case what you can always try is to get the latest wireless driver, sometimes I have some issues with some older wifi drivers.

Check the support site and see if there is a newer driver for the wifi. Check your "WIndows Device Manager" and see the version of the driver you have installed for the wireless adapter.

I also like to test the wifi with different routers on some other networks just be sure that is not a local problem of my router too.

It is also good the check the maintenance manual of your model to see the cables and the antennas. I'm not sure if that is exactly your model, but it seems it was two antennas for the WAN network and 2 for the LAN. It does not specify anything about the bluetooth.

Regards

A:Yoga 2 Pro Bluetooth died after Windows 10 update

Hi DML ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Usually a restore point is created before a Windows update , if sytem restore would not help , you may try to try clean boot and  fully uninstall the driver from device manager (placing a check box when prompted) .  On the device manager choose to update driver browsing from the computer , and allow to pick the driver navigating to the location of your newly downloaded driver.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

Bluetooth just disappeared from my system tonight.  There's no longer Bluetooth device settings, and it was always present and the Bluetooth button disappeared from the action center.    Note: This is the 3rd problem to self-create.  A windows update broke the touchpad and needed a bios reset.  Sunday night an update broke the audio driver and created the "no audio device installed error."  and required HD audio drivers to be downloaded and rerun.  Now, brand new tonight, Bluetooth just disappears.  The instability of automatic software updates is becoming a major problem.  This is the most unreliable new laptop I've ever owned.  It keeps self-breaking.  People shouldn't have to repair their systems after every update that is pushed out.   Also, 2 desktop.ini files just appeared on my desktop at about the same time the Bluetooth stopped and the setting disappeared.  They contain: [.ShellClassInfo][email protected]%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21769IconResource=%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll,-183 [.ShellClassInfo][email protected]%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21799

I am having a similar issue with the WIF adaptor dissapearing whenever my laptop switches off overnight. It is extremely frustrating and has happened 3 times in the last week.

When bluetooth is enabled on my Yoga 710, I am having severe wifi connection problem, i.e. 95% connection lost, pages load slowly if at all, chrome often crashes. This happens equally when I'm loading pages from the router, so it's not related to internet speeds, etc. I've tried changing the channel of my router from 1, 6, 11, all channel perform the same when bluetooth is enabled. I know my bluetooth mouse is not the problem, rather it's the laptop itself, because, I've tried using my bluetooth mouse on another laptop 3 inches away with no effect on connection to my Yoga. I've tried moving within 1 meter of my router, without improvement of proformance. In short, if bluetooth is enabled, wifi connection is very very poor, if it's not enabled, it's great.I've tried uninstalling the bluedriver, and reinstalling the driver's I found on the lenovo website. This didn't change anything. I've ensured my wifi and bluetooth drivers are all up to date.Perhaps there is another driver I can try?Any advice would be appreciated, I like my bluetooth mouse, and would prefer to keep my 2 usb ports open instead of using a wireless usb mouse, which is what I'm doing now.
