I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

So just installed Win7 RTM (v 7600) on a Lenovo X200s. I have a Plantronics 510 Bluetooth headset that I use for VOIP. I followed the connecting instructions (just as I've successfully done with other Lenovos) and gone through 1 failed attempt (which happened on the RC version 7100 too). WIn7 happily recommends I download the newest Broadcom Driver at http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php

I download this driver install kit and when I attempt to install it I get an error immediately. (this worked fine for me on my old X61s)

"The program cannot upgrade your software. Please contact the manufacturer of your bluetooth device for support."

The problem with this is that Plantronics relies on the built in BT driver to work. I had a challenge on my older X61s (discovered it wasn't installing due to internal firewall issues) but knowing that, I took the X200s home and tried the install at home, off of corp net.

I've been able to connect successfully to other Bluetooth devices (like my mobile phone) but the BT headset won't take any drivers. Broadcom's "support" is anything but supportive.

I've uninstalled (through device manager) the BT Peripheral Device & scanned for hardware changes. Still get the same failure.

Anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone run into this problem also and found a solution or workaround? Thanks in advance.

Talking about the Broadcom Bluetooth installer at Broadcom.com - Home.
Everything works fine until the Instalshield process. Fails, saying "Device not plugged in" for Bluetooth Peripheral Device and Multimedia Audio Controller. Bluetooth Radios and Human Interface Devices are OK.
Do you think my Bluetooth adapter is possibly just too old? It is a Belkin F8T012.
Broadcom.com - Home doesn't offer support.

A:Broadcom Bluetooth driver install failed

I wonder if you ever got any help. - When I download the latest Windows 7 Bluetooth package from Broadcom Widcomm whatever. It stops at the install and says, "an older version of this software has been discovered. Please remove it, then return to this installation. I tried that, and removed everything I could find remotely associated with bluetooth, but get the same message.

Looks like nobody cares on either end. - Guess I have to buy a dongle! - The headset, picks up the bluetooth on my TV, the bluetooth in my (2 year old) car even! - Some kind of range war between Sony and Broadcomm perhaps?

Or is it that you're not buying anything so we wont help you. Which seems to be the new norm in dealing with Sony.

Out of warranty? -1st 15 mins support free, and they know how to stretch that out. Then it's credit card time.

It's not even a warranty issue. This is something that should work. I just never had any use for bluetooth on my Vaio before.

Hello, I have a Lenovo E330 with Windows 7 running on it and I was connecting with my wireless headphones to the in-built bluetooth functionality. The problem was that it kept either not being found by my headphones or on the re-connection the headphones would not have sound and I would have to go and manually disable and enable the Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 driver. In my quest to update/fix the driver I think that I have deleted it from my list from My Devices. I tried adding it back on but I couldn't find it in the list of provided drivers. I downloaded the Bluetooth driver setup from Lenovo but the software installation just crashed and said that the bluetooth device is not connected. I tried stopping and starting the Bluetooth Service but nothing works. I tried installing all the drivers from the folders that Lenovo created when trying to install the software but none were for the Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0.  I don't even get the bluetooth icon on my Wifi toggle anymore, just the wifi connection one. When running various driver status software they said that the Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Driver is disconnected. How can I add the driver back in, in order for me to use my in-built bluetooth again? Thank you

A:Broadcom windows 7 64 bit driver?

I can't help, only second the complaint. I'm not sure if you're talking about Broadcom modems, or Bluetooth device management in general. Whatever the case may be, there seems to be a cold shoulder from Broadcom when you approach them as a Windows 7 64 user. First you can read an explanation, as did I, thinking, "let me educate myself a little bit on this, and see if I might ascertain the next step based on that.

Well, that's a nice dream I had there. The explanation, was that there really is no such thing as "bluetooth drivers" per se. ..HUH??

Go there now, and see if you the reader don't glean that from your perusal of Broadcomms "helpful" site. It seems geared towards higher end business users, and selling other products, rather than any "customer support". I guess the logic is, you're just a lowly user, they never actually "sold YOU" anything! Right?- That's how I felt!

Then, if after that twilight zone explanation, they have a nice big package download for Windows 7. It was like, there's no real drivers, but if you insist, here, download this. Another window pops up before it can begin downloading, of course the "EUA". Seemed to make my processor stall, after I clicked "Agree". I remember this because I've downloaded this, deleted it, and downloaded it again. The reason for that is , IT NEVER INSTALLS ! ! !

NO! It starts to extract the files, and passed one of four check marks to the right of the windo... Read more

A:Driver for Broadcom 43225 802.11 b/g/n under Windows 10

AD9 I'm using Win10 on my HP DV6 laptop and that is the same driver version as on my PC.  There are no HP Win10 drivers for that laptop; thus, Win8 drivers are the latest available. However ... WiFi did NOT work under Win10 until I redid the installation from scratch -- as something got carried over during the "upgrade" that prevented the WiFi button from working. What MIGHT work is something known as a Repair-Install.  This is the least destructive of all the Windows recovery functions and rewrites the Windows system files, including the drivers, leaving your data, settings, and applications intact. To do this, you will need to use the link to download Win10 installation media and either burn a DVD or create a USB stick: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10Note that when you go do download and build install media, the tool defaults to matching what is already installed on your PC (as in, Home for Home, 64-bit for 64-bit).  Make sure you select the same version as needed for your PC. If you do not, the resulting media will be different and will force you to enter a NEW product code!Once you have that media, follow the instructions in the link:  http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html If that does not enable the WiFi button, then you're looking at a clean-install and that will remove everything from your PC.  IT's a lot of work to bac... Have a simular problem with TM 5730 and 7730. Broadcon Netxtreme network connection, Intel 5100 Wifi and Jmicron memorycard fail, all connected to the PCI bus. Looks like an old problem with the intel chipset driver reappearing. (In windows 7 this updated driver had to be installed to connect the memorycard reader to the system). Tried the windows 7 driver, but it refuses to install. In my opinion, it is Acers obligation to its customers to have intel provide an updated driver which solves the problem with the intel 4 series express chipset, which is installed in many Travelmate, Aspire and Extensa machines. Please note that broadcom has an updated driver for the Netxtreme connection, but due to the intel flaw with the intel 4 series express chipset, the driver does not work.Acers position "Intel does not support this driver anymore and we will not come with a solution" is in myn opinion unacceptable. In practice it comes to this: You payed your mony, now you have a problem, you are on your own.I am also looking at drivers published by other manufacturers to see if they have a fix for this problem. They might have a usergroups with more leverage. Will keep you guys informed.

I have purchased a Broadcom BCM943224HMS 43224 Mini 2102 5103 Half Height WLAN Model: 43224. The existing WLAN card is Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000. It is supposedly a supported card according to the dealer. The HP Pavilion dv7t-4100 CTO is specifically listed on their compatibility list. 1) I cannot find a driver update for Windows 10. I see that HP Service Pack sp49541.exe provides Broadcom driver support for Windows 7. Is their any point in trying that one? 2) when I replaced the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 card with the new Broadcom card. The computer cannot complete boot. It stalls just after the login. Running HP diagnostics crashes at 61% progress in Short DST Test in progess then powers off.Should I disable the driver for the Centrino Wireless-N 1000, shutdown and power off, then reinstall the Broadcom 43224 and try a restart?  I have spent a lot of time searching for a driver, to no avail. I read in a post: spapakons says in <https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/31008-windows-10-drivers-backwards-compatible-windows-7-a...>Yes! Anything from Vista up to Windows 8.1 should work in Windows 10 (exceptions are very rare), as long as they are of the same architecture (32-bit or 64-bit). Some drivers will install as normal. Others might require to run the setup as Administrator (right-click and select Run as Administrator) or even set compatibility to Windows 7 or 8 to pass the version check. Few may require manual installation from Device Manager (right-click on device, select Update drivers, select last option, then last option to see a Have disk button. Click on the button and browse to the folder where you extracted the driver files. Use WinRAR to open and extract executable drivers).I first right-click on the setup and Run as Administrator, to make sure access rights won't block the installation. If this is not enough (rare but it could), then I try to set compatibility to Windows version of the driver. In worst case, I try the manual installation as described above.Download drivers with the following order: Windows 10 -> Windows 8 -> Windows 7 -> Vista -> XP (only for 32-bit and if no other version is available). Does this imply that HP Service Pack sp49541.exe might work for Windows 10?

Wifi (wireless internet you are talking about) and bluetooth are different stuff. Unless you're obtaining your "wireless internet" through your phone's internet via bluetooth, you should not need bluetooth.

Also, if Windows automatically installs driver for your bluetooth, you may uninstall the Broadcom software since Windows' inbuilt bluetooth utilities are pretty good and does the job just right.

Recent versions of the DW1560 driver have made my system completely unstable due to recurring BSODs which note one of three errors: bcmwl63a.sys, fault in page file, memory management.
I've run checkdisk and Dell's PC doctor app and neither shows an error, I've also done a clean reinstall of Windows 10. Only going back to the 2014 W8.1 driver has worked. Unfortunately, both Dell update and Windows update will continue to attempt to install the new unstable drivers.

Hi all
I am using a Lenovo X1, 129126U for over a month now I am having problems connecting the a4tech bt310 bluetooth mouse to the machine, previously it used to be fine but then suddenly the bluetooth components dissappeared after several attempts and uninstalling and reinstalling drivers I have been unable to detect and connect any bluetooth devices. Moreover after the last driver update the wireless connection suddenly got dropped as soon as I started the bluetooth device detection process. I uninstalled and updated the wireles drivers but still no change, changed the wifi channel to 5.2g but still no change. Initially I suspected issues with Lenovo Access Connections and had uninstalled it as well but there is still no resolution.

The problem: as soon as I start the bluetooth detection process the wireless connection is dropped and only reconnects when I switch BT device off and close the BT connection pane.

It looks as if the Qualcomm USB modem is causing the problem here. I believe that is for using your phone as a modem?

The quick-and-dirty solution is removing the device and the software. If that's not a workable option for you, look on the internet for updated drivers for it. My best guess would be to check for updates for the phone software.

If that doesn't work, post a new jcgriff2 report and we'll go from there.

in windows 8 where it deletes everything and reinstalls the OS), the issue still persisted. Since the tablet was brand new, we just
submitted a DOA request from our wholesaler and sent the tablet back. No big deal, figured it was a hardware issue.

The other day, a Lenovo tablet came in with the EXACT same problem. Again...driver installs, factory restore etc....and the issue is
still there. SO obviously it's not a hardware issue and despite the numerous posts on the internet, I can't seem to find a solution.

Again, both units have had drivers, bios and factory restores and the issue is still there, immediately after factory restore.

A:Wifi/Bluetooth issues. Broadcom UART Bus. 2 different tabl

If they are coming from the same wholesaler. I would say it is time to find a different company to purchase the units from.

Hello everybody,

My Dell XPS L501x Bluetooth stopped working after I've updated the Windows 10 and now my bluetooth is no longer available and I can't use my Dell bluetooth mouse. I've contacted Dell and they told me my laptop is not compatible with Windows 10 and I have to go back to the original Windows 7 .... Went on Broadcom web site and tried to get the drivers for the bluetooth but as soon as I try to install it shows that its not compatable with my operation system ...
Please help if you have any suggestions or a way to go around it ?

I downloaded the driver pack for the M710-q ThinkCentre for Windows 7 Pro x64 and imported the drivers to my MDT setup. However, when I deploy the image, I have an issue with the Bluetooth device in Device manager. It's throwing an error "Windows was unable to start this device." I downloaded the Bluetooth driver from the driver download page for this model PC, imported it into MDT, updated the deployment share, but I still have this error. I contacted Lenovo support and their suggestion was to reinstall the OS from installation media and closed my ticket immediately after. I have a stack of 30 computers that I need to deploy in the next month or so, but I can't deploy them with incomplete drivers. Is there anyone else having this problem, and is there a way to resolve the issue with the driver pack?

Earlier today after much trouble and help I managed to get windows xp dual booted with my previous Windows Vista Os. The first thing I did was put my 2wire bigpond installation cd into my laptop and connected my modem. The power light, and dsl lights came on but the ethernet, which is supposed to work out of the box, did on my vista, didn't connect.

I installed the usb drivers and then tried to activate the gateway but it said there was an error and to restart either the modem or the pc. I have done both numerous times to no avail.

Can anyone help me out

I can't seem to get Windows 7 SP1 to load a driver for an HP printer that is on my home network. My laptop sees it but won't let me make it the default printer or load a driver so that I can link to it wirelessly. I restored my laptop back to windows 7
because Windows 10 was moving too slow. I only have 4gigs of memory, and windows 10 probably runs better with 8gigs of memory.

I bought a new Dell laptop and I want to upgrade my old XPS 13 M1330 from Vista to Windows 7.
I ran the Microsoft Upgrade Analysis tool. The results were good, but for Broadcom Netlink Fast Ethernet, the tool said I should go to the device manufacturer's website, download driver, install Windows 7, then install saved driver.
Questions: Does this driver exist on the Dell site? If yes, where can I locate it? Be specific. If not there, how can I find it on Broadcom site? The Broadcom site has drivers, but not a file called Broadcom Netlink Fast Ethernet. Does it have a new name?
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Any other upgrade cautions are also welcomed.

IMO you would be better off replacing the vista computer instead of spending $100 on the win 7 upgrade. OR use the vista computer as is until you can replace it. That model should be almost at end of life. It is not worth spending any money on a 9 year old laptop.
You don't normally use ethernet on a laptop. You can add a usb wireless adapter for about $10.

Although everything on my computer appears to be functioning correctly, in 'Devices and Printers' I am advised that 'Broadcom TPM has a driver problem'. When I google this message the driver application seems to be for Win XP - but I am running Win 7 Pro.

Is this important?
If so how do I obtain the correct driver?
The Microsoft correction routine fails to find the correct driver.

Have you looked on Dell's site for the correct driver? If not, use your Service Tag for easier searching on their Support section.

HelloI have just installed widows 10 on my laptop but it running moderately slow and opens app slowly too. how can I get and install the latest driver updates for Displays and video graphics adaptor and other drivers on my laptop to get it running fast as it should. I have tried to download from the Lenovo site but I just discovered that even though my laptop was correctly identified, the display graphics drivers specified for my system seem to be incompatible because my laptop has AMD Radeon graphics installed while the recommedated graphics drivers there is Intel HD graphics drivers and thus, could not install. Is it wise to download and install it from the AMD site? Please I need your assistances. Here's a few details of my laptopModel: X131e (Thinkpad )Type: 33741C0Hard drive: 500GBMemory: 4GB (3.40 usable)Processor: AMD E1-1200 APU with Radion(tm) HD Graphics 1.40GHz System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorDisplay Adaptor: AMD Radeon HD 7310 Graphics

A:Compatible Driver updates for Windows 10

If you just installed Windows 10, it is probably busy installing Windows Updates, so that may explain why it seems slow.    You can install the updates from AMD if desired, but I would make sure that all Windows Updates have been applied first, which you can do by pressing the Windows Key + I  , selecting Update & Security, and then click on Check for Updates and continue to check until it says you are Up to Date. You might also want to consider adding some additional RAM, because 4GB is not really enough for Windows 10 to run efficiently, and according to the Pref for your system, you should be able to have up to 8GB total in 2 DIMM slots, so hopefully you already have just one 4GB SO-DIMM and can add an additional 4GB for not too much money. Memory8GB max / PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3, non-parity, two 204-pin SO-DIMM sockets FYI    I do not see a Windows 10 driver for the AMD Radeon HD 7310 on AMD's site, so you might have to rely on the one provided by Windows Update. Cheers,
