Can't send email using different domain in email address BellSouth trapped me out...

Q: Can't send email using different domain in email address BellSouth trapped me out...

When I got BellSouth DSL years ago I had Outlook email account set up with BellSouth as outgoing and old domain as incoming so I could keep my email address from another domain. It worked fine until a year or so ago I had to add another account just for BellSouth and that worked fine.

Within last few weeks emails from my email address (old domain) would not send. I've been through it with ATT tech several times to no avail.

It seems that ATT has trapped me out and does not want me to be able to keep my old email.

There's bound to be a way to set up my email accounts so my outgoing email from my other ISP provider will send through BellSouth without changing my very old and reliable email address.

Also, I recently have acquired my own domain name and I fear emails from that email address will suffer the same fate.

I hope this is not too long, but PLEASE HELP if you can.

Preferred Solution: Can't send email using different domain in email address BellSouth trapped me out...

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Can't send email using different domain in email address BellSouth trapped me out...

If your BellSouth e-mail service is provided by Yahoo, then you probably need to go through a registration and authentication process for each e-mail address you want to send through a non BellSouth/Yahoo mail server. At least that is what I had to go through as an SBC/ATT DSL customer. They claim that they do the blocking to prevent from originating from users within their network.

EDIT: Forgetting my manners. Hi and welcome to TSG.

I'm running Windows Vista with Trend Micro and Webroot Spy Sweeper. I have BellSouth DSL-Lite. Email client is Windows Mail. DSL works fine. Windows Mail setup was easy. I can send email but I cannot receive email. After 1 minute a Windows Mail message says the POP3 server is not responding. There's a security conflict somewhere. If I reboot in "safe mode" I can receive email just fine. How can I find out what is stopping the mail client from retrieving my email? Thanks!

I am using bellsouth email on Windows Mail. I am connected to Comcast as my ISP, and I cant seem to send any emails. I can receive emails just fine.

I can only send when I reconnect to bellsouth.

Whats wrong? Ive tried changing the outgoing mail port to 587 with no luck =/

A:Trying to send Bellsouth email while connected to Comcast. Doesnt Work

Comcast is blocking the sending of the Bellsouth mail. When I had windows 98, I was able to send via any service. With the bloosiming of spam, I received the notice that this convenience would be stopped. I was able to send through my ISP, with any return address that I wanted, but it had to go through my ISP.

Not being familiar with Comcast, your situation may differ, but there more than an even chance that this is the situation.

Take care.

I've managed to setup email forwarding for my wife's new marketing business so I get emails coming to the POP3 email account [email protected] from the email address [email protected] and also [email protected]

However, when I send an email it appears (in someone else's inbox) to come from
Joanna Rigby <[email protected]> when I would like to appear to come from
Joanna Rigby <[email protected]>

I want them to see her domain name @madeyousmile.co.uk NOT the pophost.123-reg info.

Any suggestions on how I do this please? I'm running Microsoft Outlook Office 2007.

I have a word document that includes a form the user must fill in. I want to create a button that will do all of the following:
1. Update all fields
2. Attach the updated word document to an email
3. Enter an address I have stored in the macro into the To field of the email.

I have one module which does the first part:

If oStory.StoryType <> wdMainTextStory Then
While Not (oStory.NextStoryRange Is Nothing)
Set oStory = oStory.NextStoryRange
End If

End Sub

I found that if I add this to the before End Sub it attaches the updated Word document to an email:
Application.Options.SendMailAttach = True 'Or False

However, I can't figure out how have it put a specific address into the To field of the document.

So I tried another tact. I have the email address as a hyperlink in the document, and set a bookmark at the hyperlink. Then I created a module that will go to the bookmark and open the hyperlink. However, this will not add the document as an attachment:

Sub Open_Hyperlink()
Selection.GoTo What:=wdGoToBookmark, Name:="hyperlink"
With ActiveDocument.Bookmarks
.DefaultSorting = wdSortByName
.ShowHidden = False
End With

Selection.Range.Hyperlinks(1).Follow NewWindow:=False, AddHistory:=True

In our village in Spain, we have a very dodgy wireless internet access system, run by a company called NijarNet that is very difficult to communicate with - partly a language problem and partly because their customer service is dreadful. I have 13 clients with accounts here (I'm a management agent), and I manage these for them - they are all either wifi or wimax which pick up the signal from various antennae in the area. One such client was having no problem until something called Spamcop blocked his emails. Since then, he is unable to send emails from his 02 account, although he can send from his gmail account with no problem. He can receive on both accounts. O2 says it's not their problem, but that I must talk to the provider (which I have tried to do but they deny it's their problem and can't/won't give any advice on what the problem might be). I reckon it's something fairly simple that I might be able to sort myself, maybe a setting on the router? Can you offer any advice? He's tried it on several different laptops, devices etc with no luck. Any advice would be gratefully received.

I am helping a friend with their computer mess. The husband uses Windows Live as his email client and the wife uses direct Road Runner.

They both use the same computer. When the husband tries to send email to his wife's email acct, she never receives it. Yet he can send emails to me and I am a Road Runner email address. So I know that his Windows Live is set up correctly.

His wife's email is working fine directly through Road Runner as she can send and receive emails.

SO... Seems to me the issue has something to do with using the same computer and he never signs out of Windows Live. (I personally use Outlook as I am a business and am not familiar with Windows Live)

He never gets any kind of Undeliverable mail message or anything.

Can anyone help me here. I'm am do back over to continue cleaning up some other issues with his system. And I'm not sure where to go from here.

Thank you in advance.

Trying to help a friend with e-mail problem.

Using Windows 10 Home and Outlook 2003 and Bright House web mail.

Sending mail from Outlook Client or Bright House web mail fails with the following message:

This message was created automatically by the mail system (ecelerity).

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

>>> [email protected] (after MAIL FROM): 553 5.3.0 alph130 DNSBL:RBL
>>> 521< xxx.xx.xxx.xxx
>>> >_is_blocked.__For_information_see_http://att.net/blocks

Non Delivery Report (NDR) ends above this line. Sending to other domains is no problem. Bright House says there is a problem in her computer; but, I doubt that.

Visiting http://att.net/blocks turns out to be a page that looks like it is for system administrators who work for major internet service providers and asks for information I do not have.

Additional Information: I brought my laptop to this lady's house and connected it to her network and I can send to any bellsouth.net e-mail from my own AlexEthridge.com address with no problem. Also, I can log into my web mail (AlexEthridge.com) and send to bellsouth.net addresses with no problem.

Sorry for the long post; but, I want to get all pertinent info I can think of in the first post.

Hi there

any decent programmers out there who can generate a script for me that does the following :

1) Get my IP address
2) send an email say every 30 mins (or user settable) to a FIXED email address - or even a text to a mobile phone.

The reason I want this is that services like no-Ip are going "PAY FOR" or you get some silly restrictions on the free stuff like re-register every few days or the IP address detection program runs every minute which is a nonsense --with Fibre connections to your ISP the IP address doesn't change much (if at all) while you are connected to the Internet - but only at boot.

That way I can access my home computer without needing to get a commercial domain etc -- on the LOCAL LAN the server has a fixed IP address so port forwarding isn't a problem for using things like RDP.

Please don't suggest TEAMVIEWER -- don't want or need it. My upload speed on ISP is perfectly good enough for me to be independent of this type of service.

Even if you run say an apache (LAMP / WAMP) server you will get access to it easily enough via its IP address of you know it.

Surprised some of the experienced coders out there haven't done this type of thing. Should be easy enough to issue a command to get your external IP address (Router gives you that without even needing Internet access from the HOST) , push the output say to a notepad file and then send email with the notepad attachment.

I'm not a coder --I know what to do --but not how... Read more

Use bellsouth's web email, have home networking, wireless, desktop with 98se and lap top with xp prof. Have dsl. I use ad- aware every day.
As of today web email had almost came to a halt on both computers. Everything else
(webpages) are loading fast. Up until today so was the email.
I called bellsouth and they say they do not have any issues on their end.
The only thing that occurred from yesterday till this morning (when the problem began) is last night a bell south rep assisted me by phone in reinstalling my laptop to my desktop printer. ( it came uninstalled months ago). It took forever and he went thru many steps and one thing is he had me put a ip address in that wasn't, anyway eventually the printer was working but this morning when I checked my email is taking forever, and that is on both computers. Another thing is a box has popped up several times that I have never seen before that says something like if you can not continue to work offline, click here.
Yet I am on I E. Another box that I have never seen before about dial up(that I do not
have) has popped up twice. I did call bellsouth today and they say nothing the tech had me do would cause the slow down on the email but it is just too much of a coincidence.
Any suggestions?

I am hoping that someone here can help, I just purchased Office 2007 on my Dell Optiplex and want to use Outlook for my email. I am running XP pro and am on a network, I can recieve emails but cannot sent them, I contacted Bellsouth but seeing I am on a network and not just hooked to a modem they said they couldnt help me. My account is set up as a POP/SMTP, my incoming is set to "mail.bellsouth.net" as is my outgoing mail. I get an error message that says "outlook cannot connect to outgoing (SMTP) email server" does anyone have any solutions to this?

Thanks in advance
Shawn G.

About 2 weeks ago I began to have problems w/ my BellSouth email accoutn which I veiw through the Web. I can view a msg once, but if I try to view it again, the body of the email is blank. I can try to view it mulitple times and maybe once out of ten tries, I am able to view the body of the email again. The size fo the msg still shows there is text in the email. I talked with BellSouth support and they could view them with no problem. Any ideas?

Or should I say ATT, they partnered with Yahoo to handle my email and it sucks, I have Windows Live Mail and I love it, I don't have to bring up a browser to check my email, just click Start, Windows Live Mail and I WAS able to check my Hot Mail account and 2 Bellsouth accounts but recently I can not send or receive email through Bellsouth, I get incorrect password on both accounts, it use to work fine.

From reading post it seems like ATT/BELLSOUTH/YAHOO doesn't want me using WLM, I took screen shots when everything did work and I have re-enterd everything but no luck, a call to Belsouth tech support could not help with Outlook or WLM programs.

If I could get Comcast I would drop ATT/Bellsouth/Yahoo so fast and never look back, this is crazy to have to bring up my web browser to check my email, my defalt email address in my browser isn't Hotmail or the other two Bellsouth accounts, SO, I have to sign out of it then sign in to 1 Bellsouth account, check my email then sign out, then sign back in on my other Bellsouth account, then sign out so I can sign back into my defalt email account, I am so fed up with this that I want to scream.

I use BellSouth for my email. I am unable to open attachments when logged into my email account on a new VISTA machine I just bought. It works fine on my home computer with XP.

The files I cannot open are Word and Excel. When I click on them nothing happens. When I click on properties for the attachment, the screen is blank for "name", "protocol," "type," and "address." When I forward the email to my yahoo email account, the attachments open fine on the same VISTA machine.

I have fully licensed versions of the Mircosoft products and I have even tried openning up Word or Excel before trying to open the attachments.

Since they open fine in yahoo mail, my guess is that there is something incompatible between Bellsouth webmail and VISTA. I use the Kaspersky internet security suite.

Anyone else experience this?

A:View Bellsouth Email Attachments in VISTA

Are you logged in to Bellsouth's Website Mail or from Windows Mail?

If your using the Website check it's setting for attachments.

If your using Windows Mail then:

Check your Windows Mail settings.
1. open Windows Mail
2. click on TOOLS menu
3. click on OPTIONS
4. click on SECURITY tab
5. Make sure that you have "Internet Zone" not "Restricted Sites" dotted
6. make sure "Do not allow attachments.........." unchecked
7. click OK to apply

Hope this helps,

When folks using Outlook, Express, Thunderbird, etc. to receive and send email via bellsouth, send emails 1MB or larger ..... multiple copies are sent. We can send directly from bellsouth, but this is a pain. I have Outlook 2007 and Windows Vista but this is happening to others as well. Bellsouth was no help. It is not an outlook specific problem and I tried the outlook solutions already posted on this forum (i.e. make sure there are not multiple copies of outlook running, clean out your sent box).

Anyone else experiencing this? Any known solutions (not mentioned above)?

hello anyone

Here is a question I need you help me:

I want to send an attachment file to many email addresses at one time, but when I sent it to them, I just want each person's email see only his or her email (as like as -->To: [email protected] in his or her mail only) that I sent for the person.

Can anyone tell me how to do that, or that can not do it, only send one by one? Please let me know immediately.

Thank you for your help

Subject: re: one to many (one file to each separate person)

Hi guys,
I would like to be able to move an email to a sub folder of my mailbox and get Outlook to send an email to the sender of the email I moved into it. Hope that makes sense.

I found this archived thread http://forums.techguy.org/business-applications/439567-outlook-reply-email-when-mail.html which has proved very helpful and I've managed to get it working for me.

I would like it to send more than just a one line email reply but I don't know how, maybe get it to use a text file for the body of the email?

Any help would be great

Hi, firstly please bear with me as i'm new to this. I'm trying to setup the email on our virtual server through cpanal and using Thunderbird 3 (although i did try it with Outlook 2007 and the same results.)

Using the given Incoming and Outgoing mail server info given (mail.domain.co.uk) and the mail server username, I get a failed to find error (using both POP3 and IMAP). If I change that too the SSL settings for Incoming / Outgoing (serverusername.miniserver.com), it works and autofinds Connection Security as STARTTLS and finds the ports too. With this I can send emails fine, but I am not getting incoming emails, and I don't know enough about it too see what I'm doing incorrect, any help would be great, thanks.

I posted this on yahoo answers first, but the only response I got was "restart your outloook and try later." *facepalm* Glad to have found a place more dedicated to such problems.

I built an application a couple of years ago and the user has been able to bring up a report, choose Send page by email... and email the report to their own customers.

However, this week it stopped working. The report still displays on the page, but when he clicks Send page by email... it brings up an empty email. Well, not completely empty, there are around 4 or 5 lines of whitespaces.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Say I have 10 individual Email recipients that I often send the same Email to. I want to be able to bring all the addresses together into one Group, and send the Email addressed to say "Family" or "Social Team" etc.

Is there a way that I can lump all the common recipients together under one title?

A:How do I group common Email addresses together to send all the same Email?

Since your question is in the Windows Live section, I am assuming you are using the Windows Live Mail (POP Version). To add a group email do the following:

1. In Windows Live Mail, click the "contacts" button
2. Click "New"
3. Select "Category"
4. Name the Catergory (such as Family or whatever you want to call the group)
5. Check the email addresses of the list that pops up for those you want in the group.

Now, next time you want to send an email with this program, in the "to" field, simply type the name of the category you just created. All contacts you added to the group will now be sent the email you just wrote.

I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Instructor and cannot figure out how to sync more than one migrated Outlook Express account. Get error code 0x80072726. After successfully syncing one account, I have spent 5 days trying to sync the second account.

Under Outlook sync settings, I see ?snt406-m.hotmail.com? as the Server for the account that?s working. The account that doesn?t work does not have any Server option.

I used PCmover Express to migrate 18,000 ?Outlook Express? emails from an old XP PC to a new windows 10 PC. I do see the DBX files that were migrated. One migrated email account synced fine. The other account is "not synced yet" after days of syncing. Have no idea what to do next.

If there are two Bellsouth.net email accounts, is there something different I need to do to add the second account? Please advise.
