Unable to connect to my MODEM via IP Address for setup

Q: Unable to connect to my MODEM via IP Address for setup

I can't log into my MODEM. I was able to set it up once using the default gateway IP address about a week ago. Then my kids unplugged it and something changed when plugged back in. When I try to log into my modem using the IP address it just gives me a web page saying its unable to connect. My internet works fine, I am able to ping the address and it replies with no data loss, I can trace route to it, I can release and renew the IP address DHCP server. I am just unable to bring up the webpage to login. I have turned off my firewall (windows firewall). I am just at a loss on what to try next. I want to turn on my Wi-Fi and such, essentially administer my router for my computer. I have did a hard reset, held the button for the recommended 15 seconds with both power on and power off but no change. The modem is a Technicolor TC8717T.

Preferred Solution: Unable to connect to my MODEM via IP Address for setup

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Unable to connect to my MODEM via IP Address for setup

Edit: I ran the Microsoft Internet troubleshooter and I used the IP address instead of the domain name and it said "The remote device or resource won't accept the connection". So it seems something within the router is refusing to let me connect, but still acting in the MODEM role.

Need some help with a problem that just started. My HP G71 laptop, with Windows 7 Home Premium, will not connect to the internet over the wireless modem I have. Other laptops in the house have no problem in fact, that is how I am typing this right now
I checked the iP address and it starts with 169. The research I have done says that is bad...I am not an expert.

This laptop has been giving me fits lately with malware and I have frequently been running Malwarebytes and other programs to remove. I have tried these things based on a youtube video I watched for this issue.:
1. Went to cmd prompt and tried to release and renew ipconfig. Got this message: "an error occured while releasing interface wireless network connection: The RPC server is unavailable.
2. Went to control panel/network and sharing center/change adapter settings then disabled and enable device
3. Went to properties of device, then uncheck QoS packet scheduler, then went bck in and checked it again
4. Went to services and located DHCP client. It is not listed as being started. When I tried to start it, it said : "Windows
could not start the DHCP client service on local computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group
failed to start.
5. Tried to restore system to previous point from yesterday...did not work, go an error that said system resotre failed to extract the file C:/Windows\$NtUninstallKB62280$\485945278 from the restore point. the restore point was damaged or deleted.

I use D-Link G604T ADSL-Modem/WiFi Router.

Since I've been using Win7 Ultimate 64bits, I no longer can access the Router's setup page, no matter what browser I try (IE 8.0.7600, Firefox 3.6.3, Chrome 4.1.249, Opera 10.51), with the msg:

401 Unauthorized

Authorization required for the URL '/'.

I'm forced to reboot from WinXP's partition to access, using IE (none of the other browsers did). Running WinXP I'm able to get into the Modem's setup, like I always did.

A:Unable to enter Modem Setup

Are you entering or the equivelant?

401 usually means that you are beyond the login page without having logged in.

Okay so I'm trying to connect my Xbox 360 to Live by bridging my computer's wireless connection. I've done this before for a friend in a different city and it worked fine, and I felt very proud of myself for doing so. However when I try to connect here, the modem won't assign my Xbox an IP address. I've been into ipconfig/all and tried to manually assign the same IP address to the Xbox but to no avail. Same deal with the alternate MAC address option. I've been trawling the forums for hours now and I've seen fixes for this exact issue but they haven't worked for me.

I've only got a very basic knowledge of IT and I need help. Who's keen?

Hi -
Go Start > Control Panel > Network Connections and see what is listed there -
Or try in the same area Network Setup Wizard as you may need to create a new account -
Hook the computer up to the router ethernet cable and try it directly through there -
Right click on the connection in Network Connections and see if it is recognised there -

Thank You -

Hey all,

Since today I can't connect to the modem with my desktop pc(windows 7 x64). I get APIPA as IP adress(169.254.*.*).

this is how my connection looks like. I got only modem & switch between my connection to the internet. edit: without the fileserver
I've checked the following things with my other PC(=notebook windows 7 x86): modem, switch, cable and my network card and everything did work fine.
note: I did use the same cable as I was using for the desktop PC to be sure that the cableline was fine.

edit:I made the next tests with my desktop PC.

Then done the next ones without success:system restore(1 week)
winsock fix
reinstalling the networkcard
giving static IP adress

My network card settings are the same for the both PC, set to automatically obtain IP address and DNS server addresses

A:Unable to connect to the modem with windows 7 x64

Your desktop IP configuration is
Subnet Mask:
Default Gateway: none

Your notebook's IP configuration is
Subnet mask:
Default Gateway:
DHCP server:

You have not given the IPCONFIG/ALL of your file server which could be your Gateway, DHCP server and DNS server.

Your notebook is getting the IP configuration from the wireless Access Point which is fine. These values may not be applicable to your desktop as it is directly connected to the switch.

If your file server is configured as DHCP server, and your desktop's IP configuration is set to automatically obtain IP address and DNS server addresses, then your desktop will get these values from your server.

Otherwise you have to manually set the values for IP address, Default Gateway, DNS server to get internet on your desktop.

As I can see the default gateway entry for the desktop is empty.

So please open the network adapter's properties on your desktop and check the above values.

If they are set manually you have to obtain the default gateway IP and DNS server IP from your fileserver and enter in the network card IP configuration.

Or you can make the IP configuration to get these values automatically from DHCP server on your LAN.

If you have a system admin check these with him. He should be able to help you out.

I have been having issues recently in connecting my sleekbook to my wireless modem. After having the pc for 3 years, I recently changed to a new internet service provider. After utilising this new modem for roughly 2 months, I am now encountering a problem where the internet icon is telling me i have "no internet access" but when i select the icon (bottom right of the screen), under the wifi option, it states "limited". This problem seems to be a strange one as (1) i have taken all updates received from HP; (2) other devices are connected to the modem. i did attempt to address the issue through other suggestions within this blog but nothing seems to work. Please advise me how to pinpoint the problem and address; (3) the  driver status for "Ralink RT 3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter" indicates the device is working properly, (4) I ran a full scan and no viruses were detected, (5) I reset both the TCP/IP settings and Winsock catalogue but nothing worked (6) I did try to use other drivers but they all failed. Hoping to get assistance.

I have an issue with my Windows 10 PC not connecting to my cable modem by ethernet cable. I connect the PC to the modem and all I get is "unidentified network - no internet", yet my laptop connects to the modem by ethernet (I'm using it now) just fine. I've tried everything I can think of to get my PC to connect to the modem, but nothing has fixed the problem so far. I can connect my phone to the modem fine by wifi as well, so the modem isn't the issue - or is it? Yesterday I had no issues with connecting to the modem and internet until I had a "blue screen event" and when the computer rebooted, I had the yellow triangle ! ever since.

HI Peepz

I think this is in the right forum??

I've just signed up to a 12 month contract on a 3 ZTE Usb modem for my laptop, got it all set up ok and working .. well working in that it will establish an internet connection, but it just hangs when trying to connect to 'any' internet sites.

I've got a good GPRS connection of 4-5 bars all the times I've tried to connect (at home, at the beach, in a layby down the road from me) ... and it still hangs trying to load 'any' internet page.

But .... it works fine on 3G ... tried it in Tesco's carpark and PC world car park .. no problem at all ... it just seems to be in the GPRS area's ... which is why I got it as I am doing a bit of travelling around the UK from May onwards for about 6-9 months, and it I need to be able to access the internet from anywhere.

I've only got another 2 days left until I cannot cancel the contract ... so if anyone can help, I would VERY appreciative.

I've tried 3 themselves and they were no help ... I got put through twice to someone in India .. or twice to 2 different people with heavy Indian accents ... and I spent 15 minutes trying to get them to understand my problem without much success, and trying to understand what they were saying .... all they kept getting from them I think was they thought I had a poor signal, and to reinstall the software .... which I'd already done anyway several times, and I have 4-5 bar signal every time I conne... Problem: inability to connect after clean install Windows XP done for computer freezes.

I have a WinMe Dell 400 desktop attached to a Motorola Surfboard 4100 external cable modem via an Asante PCI network card and a Dell 8100 laptop with Windows XP which is also attached to the same Surfboard cable modem by a USB connection. All worked normally together for the past 3 months.

Because of recurrent total laptop computer freezes, increasing over the past few days when downloading, using IE6, and requiring power off, I did a clean install of Windows XP this AM and also I followed explicitly the instructions of Motorola in installing the cable modem. The freeze occurred for example on trying to install ¡§My Yahoo¡¨ and perform Windows update with IE6. I then installed all other programs. The same freeze problem recurred when using a dialup landline modem as well as when using Netscape 6 and also IE6 when I tried to download. I.e. both browsers froze on both connections. I was however able to update Norton¡¦s Antivirus.

This PM I did a 2nd format and clean install on the laptop of WinXP, the Dell drivers (nothing else) and again followed the Motorola instructions to install the cable modem.

Now clicking IE6 > ¡§no connection to internet available¡¨ and ¡§the page cannot be displayed.¡¨ This is even a worse problem.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the cable modem as per Motorola multiple times.

I'm using Win XP and have discovered that you have to manually enter all the TCP/IP settings. The setup wizard will just screw it up. Once you have manually entered the host, DNS server and gateway address and rebooted, try using Ping with the DNS server. If the server replies, then you are ready for IE6. Good luck.

Can anyone assist me with accessing the internet? My computer stopped connecting a few days ago. It had been working great until then. I have two other computers in the same wireless environment and they are working great. I've done all the preliminary checks and had all the settings checked by Comcast (my internet provider) but they were not able to evaluate the problem without cost. I've been unemployed for the last two years so I need to find another option to correct this issue. Every time I attempt to connect, windows says that they are unable to renew the IP address. Limited or no connectivity is shown. I've also noticed that If I leave the home where I'm trying to connect, I'm able to connect to outside sources like Wayport or any other network without any problem. My router is a Linksys Model #WRT320N. It's working just fine with the other computers in the house. Please let me know if you can help. I tried cleaning out all my "preferred networks" in the wireless Network Connection Properties but that didn't work either. Your help would be much appreciated.

Here's some information.

Router- Linksys WRT610N
OS- Vista
Modem- Motorola

Secondary Computer- Can connect without any problems

Problem- Up intil yesterday my primary computer could connect to the router without any problems. Now all I get is limited connectivity. If I connect my computer directly to the modem it works fine, but unable to work while connected to the router. For some reason my IP is not renewing and is diverting to a 169 address.

What I've Tried-
IP Address release/renew - While computer was directly connected to modem then tried with router.
System Restore
System Recovery
Diagnostic Tests on Ethernet Card/Cables
Contacted HP Support with no help
Contacted Linksys Support- Stated it was a computer problem
Connected to different ports on the router.
Unistalled and Reinstalled router
Manual Reset of router
Powered down and up of everything multiple times.
Mac Address Cloning.
Shut down all firewalls- Only run Windows and Norton
CMD ran as administrator

I've tried everything I know. Is there anything else I could do to figure out this problem?

I've been trying for so long to connect internet to my laptop. After using the ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew, it said "An error occured while renewing interface Local Area Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out". I am connecting with the cable directly from the modem. When I plug the cable inside my newer laptop, I have no problem connecting to the internet. My laptop that needs its ip address renewed has been turned off for around 2 years. So I'm guessing it may be considered a new connection by the DHCP server?

TCP/IP Properties "Obtain an IP address & Obtain DNS server address are already set to automatic. When I click on advanced it said DHCP is enabled.

When I look on Add/Remove Windows Components, the DHCP option isn't there.

The laptop is an HP ze4400 and the system is Microsoft Windows XP Version 2002. I'm using Comcast internet with an Arris modem. (Not sure if you really needed that info, but just to make sure.)

I'm not good at computer stuff, so please bare with me and give me a step-by-step example into solving this problem.

A:unable to connect using modem to internet on windows 2000

Why not give the following a try:

1) Download the newest and latest drivers from the modem manufacturer’s website. (I know, you have a disk, but download the newest and best anyhow.

2) Enter Start, Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager and DELETE any references to any modem.

3) Shut down and physically remove the modem and then put the modem back in PCI slot #3 (Third slot down from the AGP slot)

4) Boot up and enter the BIOS setup menu.

5) In the BIOS setup menu find the PnP area. If you are running WinXP or win2k, then DISABLE Pnp….however, if you are using Win98, then make sure it is ENABLED.

6) Save and Exit

7) Boot back up and when the computer finds your modem, then load the drivers that have been downloaded from the manufacturer’s website. It may tell you that the latest and best are already installed, but install them anyway. (for example, WinXP and win2k only have v.90 drivers and not the most recent v.92 that are needed for best operation) If it says they are not digitally signed, then load them anyway. This is a long story, but I can assure you it is a money issue and a rip off from Microsoft in my opinion.

This should get you going!

Hi, Excuse my lack of technical terminology here, but since I have had my laptop (with Windows Vista) I have been unable to click on a link to an email address, e.g. if there is an email address within the body of an email or within a website, if I click on to send them an email, an error message comes up
"mailto:_______ (the email address) Application not found"

Also another problem which I would say if related: I am trying to click on a link in a website to add my email address to their mailing address, and it comes up with the error:
"Windows Internet Explorer
Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed"

But apart from this problem I have not had any other problems sending and receiving emails.

I hope this is enough info? Sorry I am new at this.

Thank you.

A:Unable to open up or connect to an email address link

From your error message I will assume you are usingInternet Explorer?.

Installing any version of Office that has Outlook should fix the problem. Or installing Windows Mail from http://download.live.com/ should also fix the problem.

If neither of them work you can always try updating Internet Explorer to the latest version. http://update.microsoft.com/

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. The router was working great until I changed the IP address

A:Solved: Changed IP address on DD-WRT router, and am unable to connect.

There's some kind of problem with getting a dynamic connection. Could be that the router's Dhcp server is disabled, or a defective cable, or a problem with the computer. Try assigning a static IP to your ethernet connection (e.g.,, mask, and see if you can access the router.

When I go to control panel, network and internet, network and sharing, the connection map at the top stops between my pc and the network (which is now labeled as 'unidentified network').

Here is a list of what I have done so far to try and resolve the issue:

1. Replaced the ethernet cord with one I know is working
2. Full scanned my pc for viruses
3. Disabled all firewalls and virus protection programs
4. Restored my pc to a previous save state
5. Reset winsock with cmd via these prompts: netsh winsock reset catalog and netsh int ip reset reset.log hit
6. This attempt is unfinished as I am getting stuck. I am attempting to setup a static ip to attempt to resolve the issue, but when I open cmd and type ipconfig/all, the default gateway under my local area connection is completely blank.

Here is what comes up with ipconfig/all:

I got a new WRT54G Router and the CD doesnt work . It keeps saying my computer is not connected to the internet. I have tried with both my broadband and my dial-up connections but the CD didnt work. I got it from Circuit City.Firmware version 2.1
I then installed it using the step-by-step guide and then something strange happened :

a. When I click on my broadband connection (start/connect to/broadband)..the connection never goes thru ( i get an unable to connect error) BUT i get logged onto the net. Both the Wireless and Local Connection icons on the bottom RHS of the screen get active.
Obviously if I stick my broadband modem rj-45 jack into my notebook, it connects immediately and i get that 'authenticated' message.

b. I am able to surf but my sister cannot. Her notebook recognises the wireless but doesnt log onto the net at all. I set up a 'home network' but she still cannot connect to the net. The computers are able to see and access each others shared files. We both have Win XP Home edition.

c. My notebook is a Presario with inbuilt wireless and hers is an HP to which we attached a linksys network card.

d. What am i doing wrong ? How do I remove the 'home network I created ? Since I gave it a workgroup name 'home', will I have a problem when I take the notebook to my office which has its own wireless network and another workgroup name ?

Any and all advise welcome .

My pc with Vista can connect wirelessly to the router but can not go on the internet, the signal is strong. I can connect via cable. My old xp pc can connect wirelessly using the same adapter that I use for my Vista pc. Having surfed some forums, I find this to be a common problem amongst Vista users. I have read that by doing something with your MAC address you can solve the problem (clone it?). My question now is as follows:

What is this MAC address thing?
And what do I have to do with it to make my internet work?

Hey everyone.

I've ran into a problem that I can't quite figure out. My internet connection shows 'no internet access' even though my ISP shows the connection is coming into the house just fine. I usually use a router (NetGear-WNR3500U) but I right now I have the Ethernet connection plugged directly into my PC. I tried directly plugging into my laptop and the internet works just fine. So I know the problem resides in the PC.

Some troubleshooting things I have tried.
-Power cycled my modem, router and PC.
-Repinged my connection from my ISP(Comcast Xfinity)
-Used the reset option on the router and the modem
-I was walked through the internet options needed with the tech support from my ISP to make sure DHCP was enabled and every other setting was correct, and he cleared me that all settings were correct.
-Tried ipconfig commands to /renew and /release my IP
When I tried ipconfig /renew I get the error 'An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server'

-Restored my PC to a restore point where the Internet was working

All of these options did not work.

What I think the problem is and I am not sure how to fix it, when I run the ipconfig /all command my Auto configuration IPv4 Address shows which I was told is a router IP address even though I am plugged directly from the modem to my PC with an Ethernet cord. So I think that's my problem? But I am not sure.

I'd be glad to prov... Read more

A:'No Internet Access' IP address shows router not the modem IP address

That would be your ISPs' address, the router would probably be or so, in the properties, advanced button for the ipv4 of your adapter, make sure both settings are on auto, and add the correct router address in the gateway box.

Not really. The ADSL router doesn't have the correct WAN interface. You need a standard router with an Ethernet WAN connection.

My Motorola SBG901 Modem/Router combo has stopped connecting to the internet. I have done all the troubleshooting with Comcast and with Motorola and it is out of warranty, so I will have to purchase a new one.

In the mean time, I wanted to use it only as a wireless router connected to my Scientific Atlanta DPC2100R2 modem. Is there any way to do this? Is there a way to disable the modem in the SBG901?

Simply connecting with the ethernet cords has not worked. I connected the DPC2100 to the SBG901 via ethernet cord. My computer was able to pick up a wireless connection but there is no cable connection. I am using Windows 7.

Perhaps a really skilled electronics engineer or technician could take it apart, separate the modem from the router portion and add an ethernet WAN port.

I have been unable to insert an address from my Yahoo email address book for some time now and I have decided to ask for help.

All I am doing is opening Yahoo mail and trying to compose a new email to send to someone who is already in my contacts. When I click "to:" or "insert address" my address book shows up. But when I place a check mark and try to "insert checked contacts" I go to this address on a blank page: http://us.mc1612.mail.yahoo.com/mc/kioskHandler

I see that this has been asked before but no one had replied and I can't find the answer doing a search.

Can anyone help?

A:Solved: Yahoo email unable to insert address from address book

Concerning my post above: I turned on my older XP computer and I had no problem with inserting an address from the Yahoo! address book.

I compared all my settings in both computers and noticed that I had different settings relating to how pop-ups are handled. XP reminded me that the address book takes the form of a pop-up. On my Vista I had pop-ups opening up (?) in a webpage. That is the page which came up blank. After I have corrected the settings, I no longer have a problem.

OS-Window 7 (32bit)

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

A:Connect a Wireless Modem to ADSL modem for Wifi

The "nokia siemens SL2_141" is a modem/wireless router combo; I assume that "A Wireless Modem of MTS" is also a modem/wireless router combo.

If my assumption is correct you can use the Nokia as an ethernet switch and wireless access point ...

JohnWill's procedure (Aug. 30, 2008) for configuring a secondary router as a switch and, optionally, wireless access point follows.

Connecting two (or more) SOHO broadband routers together.

Note: The "primary" router can be an actual router, a software gateway like Microsoft Internet Connection Sharing, or a server connection that has the capability to supply more than one IP address using DHCP server capability. No changes are made to the primary "router" configuration.

Configure the IP address of the secondary router(s) to be in the same subnet as the primary router, but out of the range of the DHCP server in the primary router. For instance DHCP server addresses through, I'd assign the secondary router as it's IP address, for another router, etc.

Note: Do this first, as you will have to reboot the computer to connect to the router again for the remaining changes.

Disable the DHCP server in the secondary router.

Setup the wireless section just the way you would if it was the primary router, channels, encryption, etc.

Connect from the primary router's LAN port to one of the LAN ports on the secondary router. If ther... Read more

I recently purchased a refurbished HP 6005 with windows 7 Professional. On the initial boot up I got to the windows setup screen asking for the country/language. It was at this point the power was disrupted and restarted the computer. Every time I tried to run windows the computer would restart. I also tried in safe mode which did not work. I then went into system restore mode to try that but am not able to complete because I get the restore error message 'Error 1'. Unfortunately I only have the product key and not the actual disc since i bought refurbished. Any suggestions on how to complete the setup so I can use my computer?

A:Power was disrupted during setup and now unable to setup.

According to the Troubleshooting Guide, you can restore to factory new state:

Press the F11 key at startup to boot into the recovery partition
and run a factory restore.

Atheros AR5007EG Click to expand...

this is a problem adapter on vista whenever a change is made

Have a read through the following - the most common fix is the driver update - from the manufacturers website or from the atheros website

Atheros Wireless Adapter - AR5007EG & AR5007

Over the last couple of years we have been seeing a lot of problems with the above adapters, mainly concerning WPA and WPA2 encryption and mainly on windows Vista.
We have seen just a couple of issues on other windows operating system, windows XP and windows 7.

Windows XP:- A driver update has resolved the issue
Windows 7 :- No conclusive results for a fix

The wireless adapter gets an IP configuration, and shows as connected, but communication is non-existent or sporadic.

Log into the Router and disable the wireless security and see if you are now able to connect to the internet and surf OK.
Please post back a reply here, and let us know if that works or does not work.
If you post back the make and exact model of the router - we can advise how to disable the wireless security

The majority of fixes are via installing a new driver from either the Manufacturers website and if that does not resolve the issue then from the atheros web site - see item (3)

Here are a number of possible solutions

--- 1) In Device Manager right click on the wireless adapter and "update driver."

--- 2) Download and install th... Read more

Hi everyone.

I have a desktop PC that connects to the internet with an ethernet cable through charter dsl. I have my friends dell laptop here and need to connect to the internet but when I take the plug out of my ethernet and put it into the back of the laptop it doesn't allow me to connect to the internet. Does anyone know how I can setup the laptop to allow me to connect to the internet using my dsl connection? I only need it to do it for right now.

A:Setup Laptop to connect to internet using dsl connect

IS the DSL box limiting MAC addresses of computers that can connect?
If so you need to add friend's MAC address.
After connecting the laptop did you reboot?
Chances are it will automatically sort itself out after the reboot.
If not, open Network connections Start > Settings > Network Connections,
Fnd the connection that you think should work (the same as on your computer),
Click Properties,
On General tab look for one of the last items, "Internet protocol TCP/IP"
Click on it
Click Properties
It might have a fixed IP address, so change it to Obtain IP automatically
Do the same for the DNS, or do whatever is on your computer.
OK few times and wait a bit. It might work.
If not, post some detail so that someone can help.

You can also post information from ipconfig:
Start > Run, type cmd
on the black screen type ipconfig /all and hit enter
copy the text and paste here

Finally, in the same cmd window try this
ipconfig /release
it will clear the current IP and make it
then type ipconfig /renew
in order to get a new IP. I don't think it will work if your earlier attempts failed though.

Hi All,
I have Laptop Toshiba Satellite L775, windows 7. I used cable modem Motorola SURFboard SBG6580 and it was working fine. Then I changed my ISP to Century Link and used their DSL modem and still everything worked just fine. Now I moved to another city and used same cable modem (SBG6580) and connected my business PC thru ethernet and it is working fine. The problem is with my laptop which I tried to connect wirelessly but coudn't so I tried to connect it thru ethernet but it does not even recognizes it. Funny thing is my hard wired computer has picked up same network name thru modem and is working fine both thru ethernet and wifi (this computer I am using first time with this modem).
My laptop find available networks and when I select my network with password, some time it says connected with limited access and some time "windows was unable to connect" message. I tried most of the solutions by calling Suddenlink and Motorola but no luck. I am wordering if it has to do anything with centurylink's DSL modem being used on this laptop before and somehow blocking cable modem?
Any help?
