Preferred Solution: How do I access the MICROSOFT FTP server?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do.

Do you have your own FTP Server that you are trying to access? If so what year of Windows Server are you using? Windows Server 2003, Windows server 2006, Windows server 2012, ect

There is a process running on my computer called csrss.exe

I went to http://www.processlibrary.com and looked it up and came up with 2 different things. One says it is a Trojan and needs to be removed. The same exact process name also says it is Microsoft client server runtime server and SHOULD NOT be removed.

How I am supposed to tell the difference so I do not make a mistake by either leaving it alone or removing it???

Hi there
Why does Windows Networking always seem to hose things up ( Linux works EVERY time)

I have two computers on the SAME test private LAN one Whitehorse (W2003 server) and the other Blackdog (W8 Enterprise) both enabled "Shareable and Visible".

View from W2003 -- can see and access disks C,D, and F on W8 Computer

View from W8 - Networking shows the computer Whitehorse (W2003 server) but can't access any disks etc (or even its printer). PING even fails but W8 obviously knows it's on the Network because its found it. The stupid Windows diagnostics when you click Diagnose doesn't help at all --in fact I've NEVER found the network diagnostic panel of the slightest bit of help ever.

I've switched off firewalls etc while testing so there's no security rubbish to take care of while I'm trying to get this to work. LAN is purely LOCAL -- no computer is on "the other side" of a router.

Both machines can access independently the Internet through a Local router and connections are via LAN cable so nothing should be simpler. !! But can I get this to work !!.

I had a similar problem with W7 but it seemed to "Disappear" without me actually doing anything -- the proverbial "Ghost in the Machine" I expect.

Screenshots enc.

(Windows Networking Grrrhhhhhh! -- I'm not particularly technical with this stuff but any time I've used Networking with Linux it works STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX and there's no problem sharing from or to windows. !... Read more

A:W2K3 Server can access W8 W8 computer cant see W2K server

Assuming this Windows 8 Enterprise machine isn't locked down with Group Policy.

This type of problem usually requires that you change the lanman server parameters in order to get Windows 8 working with older servers. Do these adjustments on the Windows 8 machines that needs to connect to the server.

Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Local Security Policy

Local Policies - Security Options

Network security: LAN Manager authentication level
Set to Send LM & NTLM responses only

Set the Minimum session security for NTLM SSP
Disable Require 128-bit encryption

Reboot all machines after making the adjustment.

There are two separate settings for disabling the 128 bit encryption.

Hello there,

I'm struggling with networking problems.
I have server 2003 that acts as print server, file server and VPN server.

But after some configuring for the VPN adapter (separate adapter) I can't connect to \\server (that's server real name) anymore.
BUT I can connect with it over IP (192.168.1.200, static IP)

So I thought that the VPN adapter is conflicting with some settings and disabled it, and it didn't help.

Server is behind router and I have static IP. Router seems to be configured correctly.
I can ping the server.

What's the problem?

May it be netBIOS problem?

My husband and I have several email addresses for our business that were created and hosted by another party using cPanel. Unfortunately we are late in paying our bill and our emails addresses have been shut down. Is there any way to redirect them? Any other advice? We did have access to the cPanel account but looks that was access was changed too. (see attached) If I am able to obtain access again, can I transfer the email addresses somehow?

A:Can I Access Emails If My Server Access Has Been Shut Down?

what was the last part after the @ of the email
why not just pay the bill ?
if ita a domain youu own , then you can transfer to a new provider and they can also host your email - but there will be a hosting / email server charge for you on another host.

Assuming this is all via a domain name, what is your domain name ?
when does the domain name expire?

Who are you hosting with now - is it very expensive?
What country are you in

You will NOT be able to transfer the email address and all the OLD emails , just the email address may be transfered - the emails will stay on the current hosting server , and if you leave it to long , which you may have already done, they will delete all the emails anyway

Hello, I'm having problems with creating a database from this questions. I was able to do get to a point but won't show or missing something. Can anyone help on these questions:

Hello,

I have a problem to access file server on Windows Server 2000 from a Windows 7 PC. For your information, due to some reasons, both Windows 7 and Windows Server 2000 are in different domain.

I have tried all suggested solutions which are :
i. to unchecked both attributes in 'Network Security : Minimum session security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC)' for both clients and server.
ii. to apply 'Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated' in 'Network Security : LAN Manager authentication level'
iii. to make sure the time setting for both Windows 7 and Windows Server 2000 are the same.

But still, i couldn't access the file server. In fact, each time I entered domain\username to authenticate, it will give out this message :

Since I am kinda new to this troubleshooting things, it would be great if someone can tell me why does this happening. Is it because of the different domain?

thanks in advance.

A:Windows 7 unable to Access file server on Windows Server 2000

To connect to the server you would need to enter the credentials of the domain user on the server that would have access. For example if the domain was 'home' with a user 'Josh' then I would put:

home\Josh

As the username. If you want to get advanced you could try and form a trust with the other domain in active directory so that the other domain has permission to access the server

Can anybody help me find this microsoft server download

Microsoft SQL server 64-bit(essential) 2005 standard edition.

In Windows Server 2003 SP1 (x86) with Sql Server 2000 I could use the following connectionstring no problem
DSN=Hello;

Now I am using Windows Server 2003 x64 and SQL 2005 and I get this error:
Provider is not specified and there is no designated default provider.

If i try Provider=MSDASQL;DSN=Hello; i get
Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.

for DSNless this works fine:
Provider=sqloledb;driver={sql server};server=(local);database=Hello;uid=sa;pwd=p wd;

but i am forced to use DSN as it is in a closed source application which uses set DSNs (the idea there being that you can change the connections how you like in ODBC)

This means that i need the ODBC provider name that will work in here: Provider=...;DSN=Hello;

and then to use whatever works in there as the "default provider" but i cannot find any information anywhere on how to do this!

please reply ASAP!

I have been subscribing to an exchange server through a company called 1&1 for several years. It allows me to sync my calendars, contacts and emails through outlook. My email is though Comcast. (****@Comcast.net). I am NOT a computer person, and don't totally understand even the basics, but have found it useful to be able to access those things on my home and work computers and phone. It was set up for me many years ago, but has been increasingly glitchy. I have to call the company and spend hours at a time reconfiguring my "profile:" every few months. For this I pay about $100 per year. I am beginning to think that there MUST be a better way. I was exploring Microsoft 365, which has a personal product for $69 per year. Will that do the same that my exchange service does? Can I synch it with my Comcast email? Can someone explain what an exchange server actually is, and is Microsoft 365 an exchange service? HELP!

Hello,
I am currently replacing an I.T. fellow who had to move and left no contact information, he set up an office with a server and 20 clients, my main question is he has "Microsoft Exchange Server" installed which is great for syncing email accounts back up when the client computers fail, It's just that I have never worked with MES before, and I am curious is it Web based?, meaning that their mail is backed up redundantly in the MES cloud?, or is it Locally based on the Physical Server in the office?, I signed into the server and do not see any email oriented shares, I only see shared Network Drives.. Forgive me my ignorance I just want to be prepared in case the email side of their infrastructure goes down, and I have no experience in that area.. THANKS in Advance!!

My husband just got hooked up at his work and uses microsoft outlook 2003. His company is on their own server. When he tries to email me to my email address, he gets the message "message undeliverable". He can send to someone else that has another interoffice exchange server. Not sure if I am wording this correctly "hence my name" anyway. This is driving us crazy. Also, When I try to send him an email it goes to my sent folder, but he never receives it. PLEASE if someone could help I would appreciate it

Probably of no interest to anybody here, but who knows. Just in case

"Microsoft issued an advisory late Monday warning of publicly available code that could be used to target an unpatched vulnerability in SQL Server.

In its advisory, the software giant warned of an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability in the MS SQL extended stored procedure. The issue causes an invalid parameter check opening a hole for an attack.
"All systems running one of the affected Microsoft SQL Server software where a malicious user is allowed to log on are at risk of exploitation of this vulnerability," Microsoft said. "In addition, Web applications with a SQL Server back-end database are at risk if a SQL injection vulnerability exists."

An attacker can exploit the flaw remotely as an authenticated user on the system, said Bill Sisk, the response communication manager for the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC). However, attackers could exploit the vulnerability as an unauthenticated user if they compromise a Web server via SQL injection, Sisk said.
The critical vulnerability affects Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000 and WMSDE) and Windows Internal Database (WYukon).
"We are aware that exploit code has been published on the Internet, however, we are not aware of any attacks attempting to use the reported vulnerability," Sis... Read more

A:Microsoft warns of SQL Server zero-day

I just realised, many software packages now silently install SQL Server Express as their database, so many home computers have this vulnerability without even knowing it. People see windows update and/or news articles and assume it doesn't apply to them. But in the Windows world there is a lot of SQL Servers installed out there.

So check what your programs may be using. SQL Server is used in many Accounting programs

I just got off the phone from someone who claimed to be from Microsoft telling me that I was going to be disconnected from the Microsoft Universal Server within the next day or two. He want to have access to my computer to install software to repair some errors to stop me from infecting other computers. I naturally declined because I have never heard of Microsoft doing this.

I have run all security scans and found nothing.

Has anyone else heard of this or received such a call. I wanted a phone number to call him back but her would not supply one and because they have too many computers to contact.

Can anyone explain to me how to go about changing the default port that PWS runs on.

I followed some instructions form Microsoft's site and changed the port value in the registry but I still could not get access to my Website from a computer outside of my LAN.

Some specs:

O.S. - Windows 98/se
Internet Connection: Shared DSL line through a linksys router
Side note:
I have Versizon DSL and I'm positive they block port 80. After trying Microsoft's instructions on changing the port number and making the necessary changes in my router I was still unable to gain access to my website.

Any and all help would be appreciated

what exactly is this software and what does it do?

I am trying to run a server behind a network firewall, and I haven't had any luck yet, I need some kind of http tunnel apparently, but I have no clue how to set something like that up - I am thinking maybe this has it builtin.

any ideas?

Hi all,

I have the above system set up on 13gig partition. Thier is only 8% free space left.

Normally I just clear out the event logs and recoup enough space to keep running comfortably, but not this time.

All user data is in on a different partion. Is 13g just not enogh room for exchange and the server software or is something else clogging up the system???

Any help greatfully accepted.

As this is no longer supported by Microsoft and I have no intention of upgrading to Windows 10, can I delete this from my computer? I'm not even sure what this does or if I need it. Secunia reports that hackers are already exploiting this.

Any help at all will be sincerely appreciated.

Hi! I've been trying to setup a virtual network using Microsoft virtual server 2007. The documentation is sketchy at best. I finally have it setup on 2003 server enterprise with 2003 server standard as the guest OS. I'm trying to get the network adapter to work. It first said it was unplugged ( it said it was an intel adapter), but then I clicked external network and it shows a 3com adapter, which I don't have. I figure it's the default adapter for the virtual machine. It shows as connected. I configured it with the settings for my subnet, then tried to ping computers on the subnet, and it timed out---didn't make the connection. I've been googling for a few days, and I found that you can use the physical adapter in the computer, but no where can I find out how to do this. How can i setup the guest OS to use the conputer's physical adapter? Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
