Preferred Solution: firefox, crome and hotmail very slow loading

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

hey,
Recently my hotmail account has been really slow loading after entering user name and password, sometimes over 10 min. I only have three e-mails in the account so it is not like it's full. I ran a hijack this and was wondering if there is something that could be causing it. I have run spyware and ad-aware.
hope you can help!

First, I want to thank those on this forum who have provided very helpful answers in the past. You have all saved me on a number of occasions!

I am trying to help some colleagues with two of their computers that seem to be impacted by -- something -- yet so far I have not been able to get to the bottom of it. Here's what I've done so far:

1. Looked over all computers in their office - two computers (lets call them A&B) are particularly slow when it comes to sites like Hotmail and Gmail... yet load other sites like Google.com or latimes.com with little delay. All other computers in the office seem to be immune to these slowdowns. My guess was a correlation between slowness and needing to connect via HTTPS, but I honestly don't know a lot about this.

2. Both computers were given full scans of AVG 9, and Malwarebytes, plus I ran a Panda scan on Computer B. Computer A had a number of things turn up in Malwarebytes, but a second scan after a repair/restart brought that down to 0. So now both are reporting no issues from all scans.

3. Computer A had initially not loaded hotmail at all... after the Malwarebytes repair, it started behaving like Computer B, loading Hotmail, yet very slowly ("Waiting" was common at the bottom of the Firefox window). I should clarify... by slowly I mean that an experience that would usually be very snappy (1-2 second load) had stretched into a 10 second load, which was very frustrating for the users of Computers A & ... When I first started using firefox, my hotmail service ran quite fast. Now
every time I open hotmail and scroll from email to email or delete or
move to folders, the loading tab shows up in the lower left corner and
takes anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute to complete the function. Any
explanation as to why it is now running so slow?
I do not have this situation occur with any of the gmail accounts I have.
This started suddenly and about a week ago. It is frustrating to wait so long.
Does anyone have a similar problem or possible solution? Victor1244

A:[SOLVED] slow Hotmail with Firefox

Hi victor.

This happens occasionally for me too. I usually check my running processes to check if anything else is running that (importantly) I'm not aware of or I've forgotten about. To check yours - Ctrl+Shift+Esc - then look in the Processes tab for the big numbers in CPU. There's a visual graph under Performance.

I think you'll find a lot of the time it is just because the servers are busy - nowt you can do about that really (without affecting other users by tweaking).

Hi all.

Well I am experiencing very slow page loading times when I am in the normal mode of Firefox (I prefer Firefox but this also occurs in IE). When I switch to Firefox safe mode with addons disabled it is as fast as it should be. (Do not confuse with windows safe mode) Now the only addons that Firefox lists that it has installed is Norton IPS, And Norton Toolbar.(The addons were installed right after I upgraded to Norton 09 protection) I've disabled these both and yet my internet still takes the same amount of time to load.

I just have spent the last what, 4 1/2 days cleaning out my computer of spyware, adware, trojans, rootkits, and my Host file was also being hijacked and I replaced my host file with a clean one after I got rid of the virus causing it.

So I am almost sure I have no viruses left in my computer so they can't be causing this unless I am wrong.

So I turn to you for help now. Advice/Instructions on what to do? I need them!

Also here is what I am running.

A:Page loading on Firefox and IE slow.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

I have an ancient eMachines T-5026. (Intel P-4 519 3.06Ghz single core Prescott)

I'm running XP-SP2, fully updated with the exception of SP-3. (If I install SP=3, I lose the ability to do a repair install. My AV product is AVG Free.

This thing's my go to erotica finder. (Trust me, I don't log in to my bank with it).

Anyway, it seems terribly slow at loading pages, with the CPU at, or pushing, 100% usage. I can't load more than one page at a time, or I get a "problem server reset before page loaded", type error. Once the other page(s) have loaded, a simple reload page command, establishes the connection.

Firkefox, (@ ver. 29.01), is the browser of choice, with "NoScript" installed.

I just did a repair install of the OS, which is the only way I could get it to reload the internet driver, (Intel 100/ Pro). That doesn't seem to have helped.

My question is, I want anybody's best opinion as to whether this level of performance is what I should expect as typical with this rig, or is it just plain worn out, and I should retire it with full military honors.

A:Slow Page Loading with Firefox

Try disabling no script. That may be eating up all your resources and slowing down the loading of webpages. If that doesnt work, try another browser like Chrome. I would try completely clean installing windows rather than repairing it since just repairing will not clear anything such as viruses off of the PC. Malware could be another culprit and clean installation will allow you to wipe it out.

Each and every page I open on Amazon in firefox brings my browser to a halt for over a minute. It appears to be loading scripts or modules, as the tab keeps circling and stopping and circling as it's trying to load. This happens over and over repeatedly until the page finally starts working as normal. What could be causing this to happen? It's the only site that gives me an issue like this, and it's been happening for months now. Chrome handles Amazon fine.

A:Amazon in firefox - slow loading

Spinning circle - usually means a problem add on. Try running FF with add ons disabled and see if the page loads okay. If it loads okay then we know where to start looking.

See:

How to start Firefox in Safe Mode

Also try installing this add on and see if there's any sign of obviously high memeory usage from any particular add on when you've got that page open in a tab.

Here I am finally getting around to dealing with an annoying quirk using Firefox. I have FF10 on three machines all running Windows7 -- two desktops and one laptop. The behavior I am asking about occurs on all three so I believe that rules out a machine dependent problem. One site WTKR.com (Our local TV) loads very slowly. The bottom of the screen shows a multitude of 'Transferring data...' messages and it takes over 7 seconds for it to get rendered. The same thing happens on WVEC.com -- another local TV station but not as slow. All other sites I have come across load almost immediately. If I visit those two sites using Chrome or IE, the come up almost immediately. I have removed or disabled all FF's extension, plugins and even have gone back to several earlier versions of FF, the earliest being 4.0, but they still load slow in each case. If it helps, one thing I noticed in Tool>Page Info for WTKR and WVEC is the first entry which says X-UA Compatible IE7. This entry does not appear in the Page Info for any of the pages that load 'instantly.' Others in the Mozilla Firefox forum report the problem doesn't exist on there Vista machines so I wonder if it is a Firefox vs. Windows 7 issue? I doubt it. Will someone please help me get rid of this annoying quirk? Thank you.

A:Slow Loading Website Using Firefox

Hi jsquareg,

It could be a FireFox (FF) vs. Windows 7 issue. Do you preform regular maintenance, and updates? Malware, and virus scans? Your System Specs look strong enough, they are better than mine.

You could try clearing the FF cache.
In 10 go to Tools >Clear Recent History, a small dialog box will open, and I would uncheck all, but cache. Then click Clear Now. Even if it does not restart FF I would.
If you cannot see it, click on Details.

But, it could also be a FF vs certain websites quirk. The X-UA Compatible IE7 tag points to these conditions: https://blogs.msdn.com/b/ie/archive/2008/06/10/introducing-ie-emulateie7, and it goes back to "Are these sites compatible with certain browsers".
With that being listed in Tools >Page Info it is telling FF to try and emulate certain elements on that page in IE7 fashion.

Years ago it was common to see an area/element on web pages that proclaimed that the site worked better with this or that browser, now it is not, and television stations can be notorious for leaving their website improvement for last.

Out of the four in my area WHP, WHTM, WPMT, and WGAL WPMT is the only one that has the X-UA-Compatible IE=7 tag, and on my FF10.0.1 they all load within 3seconds, and my FF cache is at 12MB.

It might also be your ISP I have the lowest tier Verizon DSL 1.0MB download. Check your ISP's homepage to see if it lists the X-UA element mine does not.

Hi, Welcome to TSG!!

Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
Click on Install.
It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

This is a bit different from everyone else's problems I've read about.

When I first open up Firefox and go to Facebook, it takes a good 15 seconds to load. This also happens with my own website that I've ran for five years. However, any other site is fine on startup.

Thing is, once I've waited a while, I can go to Facebook almost immediately, without any delay. For example, right after posting this, I'll be able to go to Facebook and not have to wait, at all...but if I were to close Fox and reopen it, then immediately go to Facebook, I get the delay.

I've disabled my firewall (XP firewall), used Firefox Safe Mode, reset all of my preferences for Firefox, reinstalled Firefox...and now I'm all out of answers.

Thanks for any help.

Hey, only just today I have started to experience slow loading times for firefox and chrome but internet explorer loads pages just fine.

I have tried all of the following with no help:

Re-installing the browsers
Running CCleaner
Running the browsers in private mode
Uninstalling java
Restarting the computer
Scanning for viruses (BitDefender 2012)
Disabling my anti-virus
Assigning my computer a different static IP address
Restarting the modem

On average it would take roughly about 5 minutes to load google.com via firefox or chrome where as it would take a few seconds on internet explorer.

I'm not too sure if I was required to run any programs and have any attachments for this specific issue, so if it is required please let me know,

All help is greatly appreciated.

I got Windows XP as my OS. Mozilla has started to "fail" at loading web pages and or takes forever to load them. My desktop is fast at all other things and my internet connection is fine taking into consideration I can play online games, download stuff(even though it takes forever to get to the page lol), etc etc. To get a desired web page to show up I have to keep refreshing the page. Often times it will go black white and the status bar will say: Done.

Any ideas?

Hi all;

I have an odd issue with Firefox & Windows 10, with accessing HTTPS websites.
The sites are very very slow to load and others do not complete the load cycle.
I've had this issue for months now.

Just tried the newly released Firefox v50 ... same issues.
Also use Portable-Firefox:
-On the Windows 10 pc = https sites load very slow.
-If I move to my other PC (using Vista), all sites load fine. Without any changes to my Portable-Firefox setup.

When I use Microsoft's Edge browser all sites load fine.

There seems to be a conflict between the Toshiba Laptop, Windows 10 & Firefox in loading HTTPS websites very slowly.

This is what I have tried so far in relation to Windows 10:

-Changed Proxy settings (within Firefox) to each setting
-Flushed DNS cache
-Checked HOSTS file for any entries to those websites
-Removed entries from Windows Firewall
-Disabled Firewall and Anti-Virus
-Checked for Malware,Spyware,etc,etc
-Booted into Windows 10 SafeMode-Network Enabled
My head is getting sore now. Any suggestions

As I mentioned my Portable-Firefox installation works fine on other pcs, including Windows 10 versions, but not on this system (Toshiba laptop & Windows 10). Though MS Edge browser works perfectly fine.

I hope I'm doing this right, sorry if I'm not I'm new to this. I'm running Windows Xp Home. All of a sudden Firefox started taking forever to load pages. It would always get stuck on "waiting for Google-analytic.com". So i downloaded the gostery add-on and that helped on some pages but it still takes forever and sometimes the connection times out or it says server not found. It says i have an internet connection though so i was thinking it might be a virus. But I've scanned my computer with Microsoft security essentials and it comes back clean. So i tried hijack this and here's the log:

But I cannot figure out why. I have tried adjusting browser settings, clearing cache, clearing the extensions. My PC is Virus and Trojan free. I know its not my ISP, because when I play league of legends on my PC or any other online game, it loads up VERY FAST and connects to the server quickly, with no lag solid ping. Ive done speed tests on the speed test sites and everything is normal

Also.. Netflix on all my wired and wireless devices runs smooth. All my other devices in the house (Phones, laptops, tablets)  that can load webpages are loading them at blazing speeds when hooked wired and wirelessly to the same router. I built this PC myself and its always been speedy. Something happened out of nowhere.

Heres another odd discovery too... certain web pages are loading improperly now as well.. facebook takes like 10 mins to load, and when it does, its all text and no images. Youtube's formatting is way off as well and loads slow. Every webpage is taking a good amount of time to load up.

Here's another odd thing.. I wanted to test something out.. so I went to a proxy server website to try and load websites through one of their search bars... the weirdest thing.. everything loaded super fast and was formatted properly, yet when I use any of my browsers as normal, its slow as molasses out of no where.

The only thing I could find doing searches (which take forever because google also runs super slow now) is that it may be a DNS problem.

A:All browsers (chrome, firefox, etc) loading pages REALLY slow, Im pretty savvy..

I have noticed a less responsive downloading of pages for several weeks.
I don't have the extreme issues you are experiencing.
It just seems browsing takes more time for the page to complete.

I use Charter, who has just finished major upgrades to fiber and now provide a 60 MbS bandwidth. (Tests @ 63 MbS)
Does not matter the time of day or what is running, although I only use firefox.

You seem confident that it is not a computer bug, then you may try a network analyzer that will monitor and display all packet activity and information. Wireshark is free and if you have the time to understand what it displays you may find something.

I'm not a IT pro...yet. Still in training...I'm going to try my own advice to see what I may discover.

I just finished reading your post below the screen shot.

It appears that the CSS for the page isn't taking effect.*

Have you tried disabeling your anti-virus before starting a page download?

Do you use a registry cleaner/scanner? eusing free registry cleaner is FREE.

Try downloading in Safety mode with network ability...While your there do a security scan with another anti-virus program...Kapersky has a free scan and removal tool...that is, they did when I was Norton user...

Hello guys, logging to this site after a long hiatus (good streak of problem-free PC!)

I recently bought a Acer Q302LA laptop and installed many software on it (mainly GOG games, Sophos, WinRAR, virtual clone drive, nothing illegal or dubious). Not sure if this is relevant, but somehow I downloaded Trovi search engine, but I uninstalled it via add/remove programs, changed homepage settings and search engine in Firefox and IE, and ran MBAM, so I believe I have removed it completely.

Now my problem is this: I noticed that I am having trouble with both firefox and IE, in that I will have multiple instances of both in task manager that I am unable to force kill process, giving me message that access is denied. As a result, I cannot open new firefox after the last one is closed. In addition, when I was able to open firefox after restarting my PC, both firefox and IE take forever to load pages, with spinning logos on the tabs. What is perplexing is that sometimes these web browsers linger in task manager after restarting, even if I didn't start these programs.

So as of now I have 8+ IE and 2+ firefox in my task manager that I cannot kill, and excruciating slow loading of web pages or inability to open new firefox without restarting.

I ran both MBAM and Sophos, didn't detect any malware/virus. What do I do next?? Am I in right forum??

Thank you for you help!!

A:Can't kill multiple firefox and IE in task manager, hang process, slow loading

The task manager should show a process for each tab in IE and for each separate window for Firefox. I would suggest uninstalling Firefox and re-installing, to see if the problem returns.

Within IE, go to "Manage add-ons" by clicking on the cog icon in the top right hand corner (Tools (ALT + X)) and look through the extensions, toolbars, etc., to see if anything suspicious is there (disable anything you are unsure about).

Hi,

I appear to be having trouble with my firefox browser.

My operating system is Windows 8.1. I have an Acer Aspire V3-772G which I bought some 18 months ago.

System details:

Processor: Intel® Core i7-4202MQ 2.2GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz
Installed Memory (RAM) 16.00 GB DDR3 L Memory
System  type: 64-bit Operating, x64- based processor

A few days ago my firefox browser, which for no apparent reason at all, just seemed to slow to a stupendously very slow loading of pages. I had recently just been working on an issue in which I posted a thread regarding whether there was a possible virus/malware after google chrome terminated with the following message from Hitman Pro Alert:

Attack Intercepted
'Google Chrome 49' has been terminated to prevent execution of malicious code. Please check your computer for malware and software updates

As it happened, it appeared to be because of a conflict somewhere in the Google Chrome, Trusteer Rapport and Hitman Pro Alert combination, and so the only way was to change the settings on Hitman Pro Alert as advised and shown in my thread:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/611273/possible-virus-or-malaware/

However, there was no malware or virus detected by my own Avast or Malwareware bytes tools, and the tools used as instructed in the thread also showed my system to have none. Also, google chrome works fine, and my computer has not slowed in any way. My fir... Read more

My firefox inexplicably stopped working properly recently. There are certain webpages that fail to load whatsoever (espn.com, for instance), and there are other webpages that load extremely slowly (somethingawful.com, for instance). Both of these websites work fine on IE.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox but that didn't cure the situation. I have Symantec antivirus and it is always running. I don't usually download any sort of file that should put my computer in jeopardy, but I cannot figure out why it's running so poorly recently.

I hope I'm attaching all of the correct files:

Oh, also, file attachments don't work in Firefox or IE.

Hello, I recently had a run in with whatever it was that likes to know out the CD-Rom drives on computers, but decided to reformat and reinstall everything. I upgraded to a bigger harddrive and a new dr+-rw drive (I/O Magic) and it turns out my Product key for windows xp ran out of uses... But that is being worked out.

Anyway, after I reinstalled everything, I ordered another windows to get the product key and while I was confirming emails and stuff I ran into a problem with Hotmail. Every other web page I have gone to (regular sites and several help sites) have all loaded perfectly fine, but when I log into hotmail, have of the time it loads wrong. The tabs across the top are all on a plain blue background and stretched out in a column on the left side of the page. Also there are repeats of several of the buttons. The normal listings of each email and their info are displayed about one-third of the way down the screen and the colors are off (sort of inverted- white becomes blue and vice versa marking read and unread). Also half the time clicking on the link for the email doesn't work, displaying a java-like error on the bottom of the page, not even "Open in a new Window" works. I am hoping this type of problem is just a non-updated driver or component thing (will get everything updated as soon as new cd arrives). It doesn't look like a ddr-ram or processor problem as it is very specific to Hotmail, anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this or how to fix it... Read more

Hi Dr00dman01This will sound quite trivial, but have you tried to clear out your temporary internet files? Delete Temporary Internet Files There's also a possibility of some corrupted files in your Temporary Internet Files (TIF) storage. You should clear theseIn Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and select the General tab Under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files, and click OK when you are prompted to confirm the deletionComplete this step then we can go from there.David

Hi I am trying to prevent MSN Messenger from automatically loading in hotmail. Microsoft doesn't provide any useful information on this matter, citing that it is necessary for it to load when signed into a passport account. By having MSN Messenger sign in automatically it creates a great deal of lag on my system. None of the other people who use this computer use MSN Messenger, and therefore, having it load in hotmail has no benefit whatsoever. I found a webpage that offers a solution to this problem for Windows 2000 and Windows XP users, located here http://forums.betarun.net/showthread.php?t=18&page=1&pp=15

However, I am running Windows 98 and the registry keys mentioned on that forum are non-existant. I tried searching the registry for the files that needed to be edited but the changes were not successful.

I am using IE 6.0 and MSN Messenger 6.2. If anyone here can provide some useful tips in stopping this process, I'd be very grateful to get this issue resolved.

Thank you.

last wednesday i could not log into yahoo or hotmail. i deinstalled spybot, adaware and spywareguard, which i had installed recently before, and the next morning (not on instant reboot) it worked. i do not know if this was related.

i reinstalled the three programmes. and five days later, i'm having problems again. i don't know if it's a problem with these programmes or something else.

on occasion, it will load www.yahoo.com. but once i try logging in, (if i can even get THAT screen to appear), it freezes there, or it turns to blank, the address bar turns yellow and a padlock appears. this just happened out of the blue.

my flatmate's computer works fine, can load hotmail and yahoo no problem. and my messenger works too. so i am pretty baffled to what the cause could be.

i'm really hoping someone can help me solve this mystery and i can learn a thing or two in the process.

best regards.

Hello. Hope someone here can help me out. A few months ago I got a new motherboard installed because my old one fried itself and the pc was reformatted and windows was reinstalled. Since then, it was working fine. The start-up time had also lowered considerably and it was working perfectly for once.

This problem started a couple of days ago. One thing that's been happening for a while, my computer started taking longer to start-up. I figured it was just all the programs etc I have installed. Then, I have this one external drive that I got connected internally. There were times where it wouldn't recognize this drive; it wouldn't show up on My Computer. Otherwise, it was perfectly fine.

Now two days ago this started happening:
If I didn't skip the disk checking blue screen it would start checking a disk and get stuck there.
Secondly, the screen where it says windows is starting up.. it started taking really long for the profiles to show.
Then once I would log in, it would take extremely long for windows to completely load. There'd be a weird blue long where my quicklaunch bar is and no programs would open unless opened directly through ctlr.alt.dlt--> file --> new task (that's how i'm accessing firefox right now)
When i double click on my computer none of the drives show up.. it takes really long for them to.
and the kicker.. one of my most important drives (E) has been missing for the last 2 days. it hasn't shown up even on... Read more

A:Hard-drives not loading. PC extremely slow. Windows not loading properly. HELP!

Hello,

Sounds like a bad hard disk, remove the second disk you installed, and try it out. Does it behave better?

If so, you should reinstall the drive and either:

1. Boot and run 'chkdsk' on the drive. Open a command prompt and type 'chkdsk E:\ /r', assuming the second drive mounts as "E:\", verify this before you run this command, and change as appropriate. Keep in mind that on a particularily large and errored disk this can take hours or,

2. Run the diagnostics that the manufacturer offers on it's web site and test the drive (do a long verify test...not a short one). Fix any errors you encounter. It's best if you get a bootable floppy (or like) version rather than a tool that you install in your windows.

(also a very long test, 500GB SATA2 Seagate's with the 'Seatools for DOS' for example take nearly 4 hours!)

Using chkdsk is very good at keeping your data intact, using Seatools is not, and could corrupt filesystem data (FAT, NTFS, etc.) when you affect a repair, however it is important to fix any errors you encounter to ensure good performance and life of the drive.

If the drive won't repair or BSOD's (crashes) during these operations I would try to backup any data from this drive in your normal setup and then get rid of the drive.

Post back any results from the steps you followed.

Good luck.

For some reason my computer don't want to show online applets. I've tried both IE9 and Firefox 14.0.1 but this seems to be a JRE issue as both browsers show the same bahavior. I've tested both class-files and jar-files.

I've googled for any explanation or workaround but I haven't found any. I have no ActiveX filtering on and I can easily download any applet file by writing its URL in the browsers address field. I've even confirmed that the file isn't corrupt when it arrives.
It looks like the java plugin tries to download the file but never get a reply. So it times out and tries to load it again. During this time the typical loading-java-applet-logo shows. But after a few minutes the process stops and the applet area is left blank (white) or with a simple error symbol.
The Java console shows mainly the connecting attempts and ClassNotFoundException for the class requested in the HTML tag.
I've tested <applet>, <object> and <embed> tags. I've tried both sticky and non sticky declarations. With or without Java cache. All with the same result.
However, in few cases I have had an applet loaded and run, after loooong wait. This is why I think it is a network problem.

I've also noticed that others have asked about the same problem. But there has been no solution or explanation.

Okay, here I am again. I've already posted regarding this problem, but I thought I had it fixed when I restored my computer to factory settings. No such luck, the problem has returned. This time I will be more specific about what is going on. I can not access any microsoft web pages, I can not update, I can't access my hotmail account, can't use messenger (kids are going crazy without it). I have had norton installed and ran a scan, no problems detected. Now i uninstalled it. Please let me know what to do now. I personally think it has something to do with Messenger not being compatible with Vista, so for now I've uninstalled Messenger also. What are some good free virus and spyware programs that I can run? Here is my current Hijack log.

Ever since the release of firefox it has been my default browser. Now all of a sudden firefox and windows live hotmail, will not play nice

So far I have cleared all data, cookies, history. Upgraded to a newer version, added windows.mail.live.com to the adblock preferences. Double checked my java version (all good there).

And all I can do is login, I cannot view, move, delete anything .

Now my husbands PC has the same version of firefox I had (prior to the recent upgrade), the same java version, and I can do anything with his hotmail .

Any suggestions?

Update : Rolled back my OS to when firefox and hotmail spoke to each other, no joy

I'm having a problem with Firefox and Hotmail.. before last week, I was able to save my passwords etc in firefox with no trouble, but now, firefox saves the hotmail password until i close the browser and then I have to type all my email and password in again when I open the browser later on. I've checked the boxes to remember me on this computer and remember my password, and i've allowed cookies and its set to until they expire. But firefox refuses to remember them.

Is this just me or are Firefox and Hotmail still have compatibility problems? Because IE saves it just fine.

A:Firefox / Hotmail.

Firefox - Tools - Options
Click the Security tab
Next to "Remember Passwords..." click "Exceptions"
Look in the box for "hotmail.com"
If you find it click "remove"
Hope that helps.
