Any software for converting downloaded movies into DVDplayer format.

Q: Any software for converting downloaded movies into DVDplayer format.

I badly need a software to convert the movies I download from torrent into a format which can run on my samsung DVd player or my samsung LCD tv.
I don't need one which also burns movies onto Dvd,rather a simple, less time taking software.I want to put those movies in my USB.
I've tried dvd flick, aimer dvd creator, divx to dvd,dvd styler but it didn't help.

Preferred Solution: Any software for converting downloaded movies into DVDplayer format.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

There are many software's that would be available online through which you can convert movies in DVD format one of them is Free Video to DVD Converter.

A local business http://www.dinospizzausa.com/ wants me to add video to his web site. Problem is he brought a Panasonic VDR-D220 recorder. It records to DVD and memory chip. I can move the files with no problem to the hard drive but can't open them.

This recorder came with no software that opens this format. Now what I would like to do is not only find software (Free) that will open this format but also convert it to a format so I can play it on his website using Media Player. In the folder when downloaded to the hard drive are three files, VR_MANGR.BUP, VR_MANGR.IFO and VR_MOVIE.VRO.

Has anyone come up with software that will do this or an easy way to add these videos to a web site so they open when the web page open?

Thank you and have a great day to all.

Hi bspkumar,
Here are a couple of links to some freeware downloads to convert from AVI to DVD format.

The above link gives information on how to go about converting your videos.

If you keep a backup copy of your videos then why not try these versions and see how the quality is? If no good, then you haven't lost anything.

Hope this helps you.

But what exactly are you trying to do?

Have you tried playing the file in an another media player? Real Player, etc.

If the file is good, not corrupted, then you probably need to download and install the correct codecs.

I am having a rather frustrating problem. After downloading full length feature movies from the net, I cannot open them. When I attempt to open them I get messages such as "video not available, cannot find decompressor." At first I thought it may be file specific, and that certain files were bad, but it has now happened with every full length video I try to play. I have the newest versions of quicktime and windows media player. What can I do? Are there other players I can download for free that will play avi., asf, or other video files?

This is not a problem with the OS. It's a problem with movies I have downloaded, some of which  won't play, or play without sound. When I try to play them, there's a problem. Either it plays, but without sound, or I get a popup that says I need to get some software to make it work. Many others have worked beautifully. The problem ones are formats using .avi, .flv, and sometimes mp4 extensions, all of which are quite standard. But the .avi ones won't play, even in Windows Media Player (yes, I checked that it will play .avi files). So how can an .avi file NOT play? Unless somebody tampered with the coding of the extension somehow. I'm no expert on such things. Similar things have been done to SOME of the .flv and mp4 movies, too. They all have to have additional software. But none of it appears to be offered at the DivX site. I use mostly DivX and WMP for playing videos. My system is W7. Most of the time, just to GET the downloads, I had to jockey around at the sites - they didn't give the download sites in a truly straightforward manner. Some asked me to "upgrade" Flash, and I rejected that until I went to the Flash site and found my software was entirely up to date. So it seemed obvious the "update" I was being offered was - not lovely. Though the site that gives the list of sites offering a particular movie is not Grade A, its WOT rating is perfect. I DO get what they offer, but it's the sites they direct me to, the ones that have the movies tha... Read more

The problem is, I need to have the video in a format such as WMV, so that I can put it on our website for people to view. I'm not exactly sure how to go about doing this.

Hi All
This is my first thread so apologies if it doesn't make much sense.

I have a Satellite A660 which I bought at Christmas (still in warranty) which has started to play up when I am watching downloaded movies. This has only just started over the past 1-2 months but it seems that when I watch a movie the screen pauses only for a nano second whilst the sound is still playing. I have tried DVDs in order to see if there is a problem elsewhere but they play just fine.

I haven't got a clue what may be the problem and it doesn't seem to be mentioned on this forum.
It has not got to the point where I can't watch a movie due to it pausing/freezing all of the time.
Can someone please help?

I decided to rip my DVD collection to my hard drive before going to college. I'm nearly out of room and would like to back up some files just in case anything happens to my laptop. I'm wondering what the easiest way is to convert the Audio and Video files to an AVI format or the smallest possible format while still maintaining decent quality. The files were ripped with DVDFab 5. Any help would be great. Thanks.

A:Converting to AVI format

AVI is just a container - you can stick virtually any codec inside that container so you need to decide on the codec you want to convert both the video and the audio to. Your easiest bet will probably be to handbrake (that's the name of the app) those files to .264+mp3 - but I'm not sure how much easier or more difficult it will be now that your disks are already ripped. I'm not familiar with how DVDFab5 rips DVDs at all.

I have an iso which I would like to convert for DVD Players format. After running a web search, I found that dvdSanta can do the job. Still, dvdSanta accepts input exclusively from a CD/DVD drive. Since my file is residing on my HD, and I don't like the idea of a two-step DVD media burning, one from my HD to a DVD disk, two from this DVD disk in ISO format to DVD format via dvdSanta, I hoped to find a way to set a virtual DVD drive, copy the ISO file to it, input it to dvdSanta, and output it to a DVD media.
I tried Paragon CD-ROM Emulator, but failed either in copying the file to this virtual disk or in finding a way for inputting the file from the virtual disk to dvdSanta.

I looked thru a ton of posts and did a search, but still need help with a video conversion... I know almost zilch about video stuff, thought you should know that. Things like codecs and file formats are pretty much all greek to me....but I try!!

I did see several online programs where you can download a video FROM 'youtube'...what I need to do is download a video TO youtube.

I am creating a page on youtube with a player that will hold several horse race videos. I have a web site, but since I don't know much about video stuff, but do know they can slow page load times considerabley, I will put a link from my web site to my page at youtube so visitors can view these races.
One particular race was hard for me to find, and the only one I found is at another web site, not youtube. The video plays in Real Player, but the file extention for the video is 'ivr.'

Youtube, and probably any other video hosting site, doesn't recognize this extention, so I cannot get the thing to download to my youtube page.
I've done a zillion searches to get some info so I can do this, but alas...I come up blank....and actually have installed, then uninstalled several converter programs...they either can't convert this ivr. or I can't figure out how to run the program.

I am desperate and hope someone here can please help me.

In case you need to see the video, here is a link directly to it:

.ivr is RealMedia's proprietary content format. It comes as part of the Real Media 11 player.

Audio conversion is simple--you have to buy Real Media Player Plus and then it will allow conversion to .mp3.
Video conversion I did not check out so I don't know if it works the same way or not, but Real.com holds the answer to your question. I've seen a few converters for other real media formats but none for the .ivr.

Hey guys,
I'm not sure which section to post this question, but does any one have any advice on how to get mp3 files on to a CD so i can play them on my car CD player?

A:Converting mp3 files to CD format

Use a burner. WMP will do it as well as iTunes.

I'll use iTunes as the example as it is what I use. Get the files you want into a playlist. Then open the playlist and it will tell you the play time (MUST be under 80 mins for a top class CDR, otherwise 74 mins)

The option to "burn to disk" will be there. Select "music CD" and click burn. JOB DONE :D

The other software products work in a similar way and NERO with a drag-drop facility.

Hope this helps,
