recieving personal texts from mobile on outlook work email

Q: recieving personal texts from mobile on outlook work email

Hi I have used rackspace hosted exchange to receive work emails on my personal phone. However I don't want personal texts appearing on my outlook work email.
How can I stop it receiving personal texts on outlook?
Kind regards

Preferred Solution: recieving personal texts from mobile on outlook work email

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Satya Nadella wants to know what took you so long? (Joke, sorry)
Microsoft has been pinning their hopes on this very scenario. The only solution I know is really a compromise to something IT found acceptable: They created an app specific to this single purpose for their employees on the level where BYOD is not an option (departmental heads and higher are issued Windows Mobile devices). Like I said it's kind of a solution in that it allows IT some form of control that's acceptable rather than moving the company to Windows Mobile across the board which gives you the amount of control and level of security IT wants.
Sorry if that's not the simple solution you were hoping for. As long as Microsoft still has real hope of getting traction in the mobile OS marketplace you're unlikely to see it from them

Outlook .pst folders transfer

? I'm trying to copy my Outlook email personal folders, structure as well as content, from my Lenovo T410s laptop(Windows XP, Office 2007) to a Dell desktop(Windows 7, Office 2010).
? I have two separate sets of files, one labelled Archives and the other labelled Personal Folders, both of which have multiple subfolders.
? I've now copied both(using a memory stick), to the Dell desktop.
? I tried the Import and Export feature and also tried the Open Data File feature
? The Archive folder gets copied with all the sub-folders, but I can only access those if the memory stick is inserted into a USB port, even though the Archive folder is saved on the Dell desktop
? When I do the same thing with the Personal Folders, a ?Merge? folder opens but it doesn?t have any content
? I do see the default Personal Folders on the left side of the Outlook screen
What should I do?

I cannot get Outlook nor Thunderbird on my personal laptop to connect to my imaps here at work, my computer can browse the web, it can connect and sync to Dropbox, Box, SkyDrive, and the like, I just cannot get Outlook nor Thunderbird to link up. The computer is not part of their domain nor do I want it to be, I use it here as a tool to transfer programs to the CNC machines when necessary so it is a 'personal tool' if you will.

I brought it in as kind of a favor and it has been SO useful; additionally, the 3G here is spotty so my mobiles don't work well at all for monitoring email... Can someone give me some guidance? I'd sure like to get this to work.

Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been answered before, I did have a search.

I've just upgraded to Windows 7 and have installed Office 2010 which I also had on Vista, in Vista however my email *****@optusnet.com.au was part of personal folders, but now they are separate, I'd like not to see a separate menu for *****@optusnet.com.au but instead have all my emails under the Personal Folders menu, any ideas?

Exchange email won't work!

Very frustrating. I have two email accounts (Google email) working great. But, can't get my work email to operate. I know I have all the addresses, etc. correct. I'm a very experienced user. I set it up, no problem, at both iPad and iPhone. I used the
same exact settings, no dice.

1. When I used the Outlook Exchange option, did not connect at all
2. I was able to use IMAP and successfully downloaded emails, but can not send - keeps getting stuck in Outbox

A friend sent me an email with an mp3 attatched. By clicking on the link, i can get it to play on Quicktime in Netscape, but I would like to download it to my computer so that i can play it in WinAmp or Media player like i do other mp3's. I tried the "save as" and "save link as" options, but neither works; both save it as an .asp file.
My email program is Outlook Express Web Mail.

A:recieving mp3's via email

Welcome to TSG!
I am a bit confused. You said the MP3 file was attached to your E-mail and then said when you click on the link received.

If the item is an attachment, by clicking the paperclip symbol in the upper right corner of the E-mail body outlook express should give you the actual name of the attachment and what file extension it is, Example Twiddles.mp3 or twiddles.asp. What ever the attached item is, is what you will have to save it as and then convert to MP3 through another program.

Now if the item is a link in the body of the E-mail such as
"www.musicworld.com\twiddles.asp" then you will have to go to that website and download the song as it exists there whether .asp or .MP3 and convert it using another program after download.

Either way a conversion using third party software will have to be done after the item is downloaded.

Hope that answers your question.

Someone has access to your email accout and address book, IMO.

On a much smaller scale...same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago...I started receiving these notices of undeliverable email to persons in my online address book...which I had not seen.

I changed the login/password for my online email account...and it ceased occurring.

I'm in the process of changing over domains for a business website -

I've now got the movementstudio.melbourne (new) website domain pointed to the old hosted drgrahamchiropractor.com.au website which has been updated with new information etc.

I've set up hosted email for .melbourne via GSuite (as I have for each other business) but I keep getting:

Address not found
Your message wasn't delivered to [email protected] because the address couldn't be found. Check for typos or unnecessary spaces and try again.

I'm not sure if this is because the .melbourne TLD is new and doesn't support mail (??) or if because of the strange hosting arrangement I have with the websites and I haven't got the correct MX records somewhere...

Any insight appreciated.

A:GSuite hosted email on .melbourne domain not recieving

I'm not familiar with GSuite. I'm thinking either there is a problem in the GSuite configuration or you have a DNS issue.

Your MX record should point to movementstudio.melbourne I would think. That redirection could pose a problem as well. Might want to try not using that redirection temporally and seeing what happens.

I have always used Outlook Express but wanted to try the Outlook I have on my Microsoft Office 2002. Everything updated fine but I could not get Outllook to automatically retrieve my messages when I opened the program. I had to hit send/recieve to do it. I emailed Tech Support Guy and one thread said to make sure that, under Tools, Options, Mail Setup, that "Send immediately upon connnecting (or something like that) was checked, and see if that would help. It was already checked. Someone else also said to make sure that "Working Offline" wasn't checked. It wasn't.

I then unistalled Office 2002 and installed Office 2003 to see if that made any difference. It didn't. Same problem!...Since I recieve automatically ok when I use Outllook Express I'm wondering if the problem may have something to do with question Outlook asks you about transfering my account settings, when I'm setting it up. In other words maybe it might help if I do that manually. Or....I'm open to another fix?

Weird stuff has been happening with my Outlook Express 6. Webmail through my provider works fine. when I email someone that is in my address book they don't recieve my email but I can get theirs. I emailed a friend today and she wasn't getting my email, so I looked at my webmail and for some reason she was listed as spam. I clicked her as not spam and sent her a new email FROM my webmail and she got it and sent me one back and I got hers in Outlook. After that, I tried again to send her one through Outlook and she didn't get it. So apparently something is not right with my Outlook. I called my provider and they said all my settings in outlook were right, I'm not getting any errors either. They think it's a software problem. I need this fixed because I do some business through my email and it's a pain to have to send emails through their webmail. It's at&t and I guess a month ago they merged with yahoo mail, and ever since then I've been having this problem, also around the same time I had to have my pc repaired due to virus', so one or the other caused this email problem. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

But on the laptop I can access the internet send email but get this message when trying to recieve.

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Hello to all. I know sure the problem I'm about to describe has been discussed on this forum because I've been researching possible solutions tonight for over 2 hrs without success. In short, have a new computer with Vista Home Premium which seemed to be working fine. Only had this rig a couple days so how much could go wrong right? WRONG! All seemed well until I tried to send a link by email...... and nothing happened. So I tried again with same results. I ended up trying to open Outlook but it wouldn't respond either but WOULD work fine again if I restarted the computer. From my research on this forum and others I believe Vista for some reason Vista is refusing to recognize Outook2007 as my default email client, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE REPEATEDLY GONE INTO 'SET PROGRAM ACCESS AND COMPUTER DEFAULTS' AND MADE BOTH IE7 AND MS OFFICE 2007 DEFAULT PROGRAMS. I HAVE ALSO REPEATEDLY GONE INTO 'SET YOUR DEFAULT PROGRAMS' AND MADE IE7 AND MS OUTLOOK 2007 DEFAULT PROGRAMS THERE AS WELL, MAKING SURE EACH PROGRAM ALSO HAD ALL OF ITS DEFAULTS CHECKED. I also went into IE7 internet options and set up both IE7 and Outlook 2007 as default programs there as well and even went in under the 'advanced' tab and reset IE settings, losing some cookies in the process. NONE OF THIS HAS HELPED! I'm stumped and frustrated. I suspect there's a problem with the registry but just a guess. I could sure use some help with this! Thanks in advance!

A:How do i get outlook 2000 to work with my virgin email site

Hi BillBurton

You need your e-mail address, password, POP3 and SMTP server settings for your Virgin e-mail account.
That information needs to be entered into Outlook before it can Send and Receive your messages.
If you do not know your ISP's POP and SMTP server settings you should be able to login to your online e-mail account and locate the server settings.

Hi! I'll try to keep this as brief as possible, but it's really difficult to explain. One of my email buddies (fortunately he's an honest person) recently told me that any email I send him, from both my home and work computers, has a ton of garbled info attached to the end of the email... The info includes previous emails I've sent to other people, cell phone bill details, shopping details - ANY and EVERYTHING I do online is connected to my emails to him. It doesn't matter what email I use... My Outlook account at work, Gmail, Aol, RR... it all attaches info to EVERY email I send to him. Even the "Read Receipt" he receives when I click on one of his emails has info attached to it. !?!?!?!!! IT'S EXTREMELY DISTURBING! And he also receives info from my family members who use my computer at home, so it's not just MY info he's receiving.

I do know that he is on a "Whitelist" with the company he works for (for a very important reason), so he's not bound to the security that everyone else is protected by. He's had his computer restaged twice and it still keeps happening. He uses Outlook and it happens with his desktop AND his laptop at work.

I thought about talking to my IT Helpdesk at work, but haven't yet since this is happening from EVERY computer I use, so I know it's not a specific computer issue. Is there, perhaps, something that my friend has done, without my knowing, to gain access to my per... Read more

I have 3 computers setup to send and receive IMAP/SMTP mail from my domain server using Outlook 2010, 2 with Win 7 and one with XP.
Everything was working up to 10 days ago, 19th Jan was the last email I received normally. Since then I cannot get the 2 Win 7 machines to receive my mail. The XP machine still works fine. The emails are on the server obviously or XP would not fetch them and I can see them in the web mail client. Sending test emails from the Win 7 machines is not a problem.
I have checked the account settings between XP and Win 7 and as expected they are identical. Last Windows Updates were installed on 13/Jan/2012 and the Win 7 machines were working after then.
Appears something else in Win 7 is at fault.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I can't add our shared org email using the normal outlook setup. I tried POP/IMAP, it worked but the emails and subfolders are incomplete. And the shared org email is associated with my personal org email, whenever I tried to remove the associated folders,
it say's "This group of folders is associated with an email account. To remove the account, click the File Tab, and on the Info tab, click Account Settings. Select the e-mail account and than click Remove."
Then I tried a lot of times to remove my email and back again, it is still there. I also removed the additional mailboxes in the screenshot below.

Please help. Thanks.

As the title says, I use Microsoft Outlook '07 to access my Roadrunner and AOL POP accounts. If I send email from either account to one particular friend who uses windstream.net, and accesses his mail through Windstream's web mail page, it disappears without any trace that I can find. Not only doesn't he receive my newly composed messages, but he does not receive my direct replies either. That rules out a misspell. There is no evidence other contacts are not receiving my emails. I first thought maybe he had me blocked, however if I go to either of my two accounts' web based email pages, he receives my messages just fine.

And I always receive his emails. The only odd thing that might be a clue is that, since this began, about half of the email he sends me now, whether I view them in Outlook or on the web, is in plain format with system fonts. Sometimes they come to me in HTML.

I never get any delivery failure notification either. The last time he got one of my emails is when I sent out a July monthly newsletter to about a hundred people including him. I usually get the same few failure notifications because some of our members' addresses have changed or can't be found... the usual reasons, and I need to update my distribution list. But he got that letter in July, and that's the last time I've been able to send him anything through Outlook on either AOL or Roadrunner. But both of those ISPs always deliver mail to him if I use their respective web pages to send it. What could... Read more
