Lenovo GeForce GT730 Graphics Card 144 Hz capable?

Q: Lenovo GeForce GT730 Graphics Card 144 Hz capable?

Hi Lenovo community,I have a question regarding a Lenovo GeForce GT730 Graphics Card (4X60M97031): https://www.lenovoquickpick.com/arg/accessory/4X60M97031/lenovo-geforce-gt730-2gb-dual-dp-hp-and-lp-...I haveWe installed it in a Lenovo M910s desktop (PN: 10MK000HUS). The client who uses this desktop has two x Acer GN246HL monitors and she needs them to have a 144 Hz refresh rate, because anything 60 Hz and below is hard on her eyes. We originally had another graphics card picked out, but because it wouldn't fit the M910s UFF (Unusual Form Factor), we resorted to this card which had the same specs, but I couldn't find anything on the refresh rate. When we tried the 144 Hz refresh rate, we had to use the Windows display properties, 144 Hz not showing up in NVidia, the display on both monitors when tested went black and had to revert back to 60 Hz. We initially had a DVI-D to DVI-D to displayport adapter. Now we are trying a direct DVI-D male to displayport male connector and it does the same thing.Just wondering if anybody would know if this particular graphics card is capable of 144 Hz. Or better yet, if anyone would have a solution for this? The graphics drivers are up-to-date, btw. We don't believe it's the monitors since it does the same thing on both. Thanks in advance!

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

The subject pretty much sums it up, I apologize if this has been asked and answered elsewhere but I couldn't find anything on the GT730 card from Nvidia. I know the 750Ti is supposedly compatible, but I have a Gt730 I can pick up for a cheap price and I'm not in need of the performance from a 750ti anyways. It's between the Gt730 and a R7250 right now, only going to be picking up the 250 if the Gt730 isn't compatible with the system. Thank you for any input! Also, my system is the SFF version of the M81. I've found low profile versions of both cards already

A:Is my graphics card 3D capable

Look in your ccc you can use the controls and i would belive it is 3d capable being a hd4000 series

but if you are talking 3d with glasses etc no it isnt you need a high end card for that feature

Nvidia cards use that and some of the newer hd6000 series does as well

I bought this PC about a year ago, Due to how awful Win10 is I put off using it until recently .  I was getting a flashing black screen at random times. Lasts just a second or 2 and would do it a number of times throughout the day.  The machine is as-delivered, I have not made any hardware changes. The Nvidia GT730 came with it, and it's an i7 CPU .
I drove myself nuts trying to find the problem. Uninstalled a bunch of bloatware, and while the machine ran faster the problem persisted. Downloaded newest drivers from Nvidia, no help.
Yesterday I noticed it was happening very rapidly during a CAD session, so that led me straight to the GPU. Today, I plugged the HDMI cable into the mobo instead of the GT730, this shows in device manager as an Intel  HD Graphics 530 built in vide.
no flashing black screen at all today.
I read a FAQ here that tells you to uninstall all Nvidia drivers and download/ run DriverSweeper.  That FAQ is from 2009 though. Is that still the way to go?
Can someone please help, I feel like i paid for a graphics card with this PC  and would like to use the graphics card, not MOBO video.

Hey all!  I've been looking to update the graphics card on my Dell XPS 8700 from a GTX 645 to a GTX 1050 Ti Nvidia graphics card.   Everything I looked at says it checks out:
-PCIE x16 card compatible with  PCI- Express x16 card slot
- 1.5 Width (Dual Slot Width) x 5.7 Length x 4.38 Height graphics card should fit in PC (original dimensions for the GTX 645 are 4.376 Height, 5.7 Length, Single Slot width).   Only problem I can see here is the width for the 1050 is dual slot while the original has a single slot width.  However, there should be enough space right?
- 75W power draw with a 460W PSU.   Here is another (unlikely) potential problem.  I have no idea how much power everything else is drawing so I don't know how much spare power I have.   However, seeing as the 645 has a max power draw of 65 W, I think I'm fine since that's only a 10 W difference

Does anybody see any problems with my logic/anything that I'm missing?  Thanks all and have a great day.

A:Upgrading Dell XPS 8700 with EVGA Geforce GTX 1050 Ti Sc Graphics Card Card

you MUST upgrade BIOS to A10 for Win7/81 or A11 for Win10 for GTX 9x0 or higher and all GTX 10x0 cards as well.
What software are you running? If gaming at 1920x1080 resolution a GTX 1060 is perhaps the "best' option for an XPS 8700. The 8700 will easily fit a dual width card and the 1060 is the right mix of lots of graphics card, but it doesn't need a ton of power to run it.
The motherboard provides up to 75W via the PCIe slot, and extra power comes from the two six pin PCIe power connectors if the card needs more power.
Some GTX 1060 cards need a single 8 pin connector and the solution is a very low cost adapter ( $ 8.00 on eBay)

to start with, I am running a
Acer Black Aspire AX3910-U4022

with a PNY Geforce 210 1GB GPU (i know its crap, but it fit the budget at the time)
I bought the Geforce 210 maybe 2 months ago, and it started having issues within a few weeks with the screen flickering, and i would recieve an error saying the driver crashed and had recovered.
Now, the flicker and error no longer happen, but the screen will go black, forcing me to power down PC with the power button to get picture back. I have tried both GPU-Z and speedfan to test the card, and the temp runs about 60C while doing basic activities (web surfing, Videos, etc) and higher up to 85C while gaming.

I contacted PNY about this, and they said that my card was probably defective, and that I should apply for the RMA stuff, but that i was unable to do this since I do not know what happened to the receipt (even though I remember keeping it). So i am pretty sure the 210 is history.

What I would like to know is if anyone knows any ways of fixing this? what would be the best cooling setup for the computer I have, since it is a very slim case, so that this does not happen again if i get a new video card? and, most importantly... What would be the best card for gaming that I can fit in this tiny case, not have to worry so much about cooling, and be able to afford on a very low budget?

Not sure if this is any help, but some of the games i play currently are:
LOTRO
Assassins creed 3
COD: black ops
Star Wars Galaxies

So about 6 months ago I bought a Gtx 570 and was quite satisfied but most recently things have taken a turn for the worst. I have started having random display glitches where my display disconnects and recovers immediately. It's very annoying and I'm tired of it.

When I googled my issue I discovered this was a common problem that Geforce hadn't fixed and it has been happening for quite some time now. I've always been a fan of Geforce but this has driven me over the edge and I'm looking to change.

I'm not familiar with any other graphics cards so some help would be nice. I'm looking for a card that can run any game on ultra settings for under 500 dollars. That is possible by the way, that's what the Gtx 570 was. It also needs to be able to support dual monitors.

Thank you,

This post is probably for the more advanced techs. I have a GeForce FX5700LE, 256MB, AGP graphics
card that my brother gave me along with an unstable AMD 754 PC system with some bad capacitors. I
performed my first motherboard surgery by replacing the bad 3300uf - 6.3 volt capacitors on the board,
and it was a success! So now onto the graphics card.

The GeForce card has D-Sub, DVI and s-Video connections and no supplemental power connector. I
have installed the AGP card in three different working systems and with the same no-go results. The
power supply unit in the systems were 350w - 450w which is more than adequate for meeting the
minimum criteria for the card.

On startup, the card would display the BIOS information on the screen (Version 4.36.20.29.00, plus the
info above) for a couple of seconds and then the monitor would go blank. The hard drive LED would
stay continuously lit. There were no POST code beeps with any of the three systems. Try both
connections, and occasionally a single flashing (underscore) cursor would appear on the screen -
that's all. In no test, did it appear that the card was allowing a boot into Windows (XP).

Of course, I would like to think the card has one or more bad capacitors and with my recently acquired
soldering skills that I could replace them; however, they all appear to be good (no dome tops - no
leaks) 5 - 1000uf - 10v ones and 2 - 510uf - 10v ones. I assume that obtaining manufacturer's detail

Hello,I can't seem to find specific information about this pc related to this topic. I have a client that wants to have a hdmi port and dual monitor installed. I looked everywhere in the bios settings, I tried using a usb-to-vga adapter & and vga, dvi-d cable & vga (this mirrors both monitors, but cannot extend the display). When I changed the settings on the bios to use the built in graphics, it gives me the option to enable multiple monitors but cannot use my pcie graphic card. If i select to use the pcie graphic card, i cannot use the built in graphic ports or the usb-to-vga adapter (it does not see the other monitor) and also if I use the dvi adpater and the vga it mirrors the display. I'm guessing that the bios does not support dual graphic cards but thought of asking here. The reason the client wants this is to be able to connect a projector using hdmi and to have dual monitors. Any information will be greatly appreaciate it. Thank you.

hi i know a friend and his got a game called company of heroes and his got graphics card 7600gt. he has his like really good quality would mine 6600 do the same? mabe if i overclocked my graphics card, could u tell me what memory i could put it to and core please?

thanks

A:graphics card geforce 6600 is it still popular?

The 6600 is still a great budget gaming card but as far as CoH goes, that game taxes even my rig, so don't expect much. Even OCing won't make much difference, since to run it with all the eye candy on, you'd need a card as powerful as the 7600GT, coupled with at least 2GB of RAM and a fast dual-core CPU like an Athlon X2 4200+.

After figuring out that I have to download drivers before trying to install, I installed my graphix card, monitor wouldnt get a signal, so I took the card out and it still wont work. I neeed help quick !

A:No display after trying to install GeForce graphics card

Is this a graphics card that needs to be inserted in the computer, or an onboard graphics card? If it is not onboard, it is likely that you need to disable the onboard graphics first in the BIOS.
If it is an onboard card, and your monitor is connected to the correct output, you should always be able to get a screen and boot into the BIOS (press Del or F1/F2 at startup).

hi peeps how do i install my geforce 9500 gt graphics card bear in mind i dont have install disk ? thankyou

A:Hi trying to install geforce graphics card but no disk

Normally i would google the page for drivers for the card, download them depending on OS. Uninstall all old grafix card drivers from previous card. Shut down PC. Install new Geforce card. Start up, when prompted, browse for drivers or run the setup program for the new drivers and let it run its course. Should work!

Good luck!

I have just installed Windows 7 at home and things are generally working okay.

As a gamer I am excited about Direct x 11.

Do I download it from the net? Did it come with Windows 7 automatically, i.e. do I already have it?

Can my card support it?

Any answers welcome. Thanks.

A:Direct x 11 and my graphics card Geforce 8800 GTX (BFG)

If you have ATI 5850, or 5870 your card supports DirectX11.

If not, then there is no need to install DirectX11.

Hi there

Try the HARDWARE settings on your monitor --you might have to use the handset to get the monitor menu (picture).

There's usually a setting "Auto Scan " / "Auto resize" or similar which should correct the computer W10 image to the correct size. (Aspect ratio setting).

Also set brightness / contrast / colour / sharpening correctly -- makes a HUGE difference. If you have a GAMMA control on the hardware settings use that as it's often better than brightness + contrast combo.

people often forget the hardware menu - especially when using TV's as monitors.

Cheers

Hello All,

Over the last 2 days I have been trying to install a new graphics card, PNY nvidia GeForce GT 430 on my HP Pavilion Elite m9515y Desktop PC. I removed the previous graphics card (nvidia GeForce 9600 GS) uninstalled the nvidia drivers and ran Driver Sweeper to clean up anything that was remaining. I shut off my anti-virus, selected Windows to ask before updating drivers and to ask before downloading and installing updates. I also visited the nvidia website and downloaded the latest driver 285.62 to my desktop.

Unfortunately, upon installing the GT 430 card I am now envcountering 100% of the time the BSoD shortly after booting up or during driver installation process (both with the installation disk and with the driver I downloaded. This happens both in normal and safe mode.

I have received a number of different messages on the blue screen such as: Page_Fault_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, THE_DRIVER_IS_MISMANAGING_SYSTEM_PTES, etc.

All returns to normal when I put the original card back in. I have attached the requested BSoD dump and system info as well as the system health report (buow-vista.html).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Okay i have the Geforce 7300 LE it was originally my dads graphics card but got a new one and gave me his, he didn't however give me the Driver CD but i downloaded it off the Nvidia website the 296.10 Display Driver.
Yes the Graphics card is put in perfectly and is not damaged. (I handled with care and grounded my self)
But here's the problem it won't let me connect my VGA cable into the graphics card without getting a no signal message
And the graphics card will not come up on new hardware found.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong or need to do?

Here is my spec
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64 bit
Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5400 @ 2.70GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10
Processor Count: 2
RAM: 3061 Mb
Graphics Card: Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family, 256 Mb
Hard Drives: C: Total - 600977 MB, Free - 398992 MB;
Motherboard: Foxconn, G31MX-K
Antivirus: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2012, Updated and Enabled

A:Graphics Card Geforce 7300 LE Problem

Try disabling onboard graphics in the BIOS and set it to use PCI-E card as the first video card. Reboot with the VGA cable plugged into the 7300.

I've got a Dell Inspiron 580, not very old...everything about it is okay, except the integrated graphics card. Someone recently gave me a GeForce 6600 card, and my GF bought me GW2 in anticipation.

I've got it installed, it seems to be properly seated on the motherboard, and it's connected to the power supply(had to get an adapter to make that work, it's got a 4-pin molex connector and all mine are 15-pin SATA's), but my computer doesn't seem to want to recognize it.

I've been to the GeForce site to try and download drivers, but it says it can't detect any hardware. Likewise, when I'm under Device Manager and I scan for hardware changes, nothing comes up under Display Adapters, it's still just the "Intel(R) HD Graphics" all by its lonesome.

I'm at the end of my rope here. Just lost my job, don't really have the disposable income to take it in to get looked at or get a different card or anything, I REALLY need this to work. I'd be eternally grateful for any assistance.

Have you entered bios to check settings normally separate gfx card will override onboard gfx but you may need to adjust manually

I have been using this pc for over 2 years. In the Spring of this year the pc kept crashing. I have found out that the graphics card is reaching temperatures of 105 degrees C when playing games. I have cleaned all the fans in the pc with air.

I have been told the heat sync is probably no longer functioning correctly.

GPU temp is 66 deg C when the pc is in normal use and fan speed 40%.

As soon as I play games the fan goes to 100% and the temperatures rise until the card crashes.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A:Nvidia geforce graphics card 320 overheating

I was having problems with the Nvidia chip in this laptop. Blowing out and cleaning the fans didn't seem to do any good so I took the advice of others and cleaned off the old thermal paste and applied new. It definitely appears to have help. No laptop shut downs since. I used Arctic MX-4. Search Youtube for instructions.

Also, for peace of mind, I uninstalled any temperature monitoring program.

Please help. I have an eMachines ET1331G-03w. It has a cheap integrated graphics card and I purchased a new Galaxy GeForce GT 430 graphics card along with a Thermaltake TR2 600w PSU yesterday. I installed both and powered the pc up. The fans fired up in the PSU, the Processor, and the new graphics card. I had my monitor that I had been using with VGA hooked up with an HDMI cable. Now comes the problem. I am not getting any picture whatsoever on my monitor. It says no signal and it wont show any picture, even at the start up. I tried two different HDMI cables, I tried a VGA, and I tried a DVI. None of these made anything appear on the monitor. I turned the system off, took out the new graphics card, removed the new power supply and put the original one back in, and tried to fire it up. Now I have now picture with my original computer plugged into the original VGA slot. I have no idea what to do and I am only a beginner when it comes to installing things into a PC. I have asked around and no one had any idea how to solve this problem. I don't want to have to buy a new computer just because I tried to upgrade this one. That would suck. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
