I can still access email via server but have used ms outlook for 15 yrs and really want it back! I have tried to find a 'free download' but they all charge!! so dont know what to do??? any ideas? I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Microsoft does not allow you as an end-user to download office 2003 products from the internet. Therefore there is no legal way to download microsoft outlook 2003 from the internet.

However HP mentions below the error you are receiving with a possible fix.

Second Option is to backup and re-image your computer with the recovery dvd/cd provided with your laptop, hopefully that includes the office product.

Otherwise you will have to order an replacement cd from either microsoft or your oem. If your computer is under warrenty I would contact your OEM first.

Order Replacement CD from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302822

Hi. I just read many posts here on this forum about Microsoft Office 2003 and how they can't use their programs because it says SKU112.CAB file not found and then you're prompted to insert a source disk.

Well........it happened to me also and I spent all day online trying to find an answer and tried many online suggestions but nothing worked. Then I figured it out myself!

Here's the solution but it requires two computers and a flash drive (easy to find, very reasonably priced and great to have for many reasons).

Do you have Microsoft Office 2003 on another computer? If not, do you know somene who does? If you answered NO to these two questions, then sorry! If you answered YES, then continue.

Go to the computer that has MO2003 and search for .CAB. Then COPY all the .CAB files that are in the MSOCache path to the flash drive. There should be around 83 files. Then insert that flash drive into your computer and when you are prompted to BROWSE your computer or enter a CD, just enter the drive letter that contains your flash drive. Instant fix! It only take a few seconds.

My small office has MS Office Standard 2003. Due to an update that was done on 2 of the computers we are stuck with this error of looking for the SKU112.cab file. We have done all the research on MS to fix but our issue is we don't not have the office disk it was installed from and due to the age of the software can't seem to find anywhere. At this time we can't not open any Office programs and paperwork is backing up. Can anyone give me a link where I can download this file or maybe send it to me.

Hi,Im New to the Forums and i hope some of you can help me out.

First of all i have a few problems.

1.The First of my problems is Microsoft Office 2003.Whenever i try to open an existing Word file i get an error message stating that my SKU112.CAB file is missing.I had borrowed the office trial off a friend, and he doesnt have the CD anymore, and its pretty hard for me to download the whole trial installation on dial-up.

Ive looked through a few help threads on other sites, but i still cant manage to fix it.I looked under to find the Hidden folder MSOCache but never found it.So i decided to make my own with the correct Hierarchy of C:\MSOCache\All Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9,and got the SKU112.CAB,SKU112.Xml,STD11N.msi off of my friend,i also managed to get the FILES folder with all the subdirectories and files aswell.

When i go to open office,i still get the error message that my SKU112.CAB file is missing, what am i doing wrong?

Ive been to the office 2003 folder and opened Word directly from there and it opens fine, but whenever i attempt to open a new file,It keeps giving the error message of how my SKU112.CAB file is missing.

2.This second problem is very strange.Whenever i open an installation for a program i usually get the installation either for my Norton Antivirus or my Microsoft DirectX SDK setup coming up,i keep pressing cancel for around 4 tries and eventually my correct installation comes up.
Anyone know why my computer does this?

I recently installed Service Pack 2. And now Microsoft Office doesn't work. Every time I try to run Office or Excel it says that SKU112.CAB is missing and it won't load. It asked me to put the Office CD in, so I did. The file was not on the CD. So I searched my harddrive and found the file in two places. I tried both of those locations and Excel would not accept it. It said it could not find the right file. Does anyone know what I can do? A place to download the right SKU112.CAB file? Or another solution to this problem?

It is suggested that you may have multiple Office 2003 suite product installed.

Just went into my Microsoft Works program to copy and paste a document and the processor is not listed in the programs. I believe the file to be wkswp.exe. I haven't deleted anything on my computer. I still have the Microsoft works program and everything is there working except the processor is gone. Well all my documents were saved in the processor and the documents are still there but when i try to open them they ask which program I want to use to open them and of course now I have to use microsoft word. At least I can convert them but I am really disturbed about this. I went into search on all files and folders and nothing comes up. Did a registry scan with C cleaner and their is a application path issue with this file and about 6 that say open with application issue. These are all the Wkswp.exe files. I have not deleted anything from my computer. The only thing I did was uncheck some startup programs because for some reason they were all starting up at startup so today I went into the startup program and they are all checked again. I didn't do that either. Got any ideas on how to solve any of this. I don't want to lose my files and I don't have the cd since it was on the computer when I bought it. AVG antivirus shows nothing and I have PC tools spyware and it doesn't show anything either. I have free zone alarm for my firewall. Can a driver issue cause this? A:missing proplus.exe file for microsoft office

Just for the record:Bleeping Computer DOES NOT recommend the use of registry cleaners/optimizers for several reasons:? Registry cleaners are extremely powerful applications that can damage the registry by using aggressive cleaning routines and cause your computer to become unbootable. The Windows registry is a central repository (database) for storing configuration data, user settings and machine-dependent settings, and options for the operating system. It contains information and settings for all hardware, software, users, and preferences. Whenever a user makes changes to settings, file associations, system policies, or installed software, the changes are reflected and stored in this repository. The registry is a crucial component because it is where Windows "remembers" all this information, how it works together, how Windows boots the system and what files it uses when it does. The registry is also a vulnerable subsystem, in that relatively small changes done incorrectly can render the system inoperable. For a more detailed explanation, read Understanding The Registry.? Not all registry cleaners are created equal. There are a number of them available but they do not all work entirely the same way. Each vendor uses different criteria as to what constitutes a "bad entry". One cleaner may find entries on your system that will not cause problems when removed, another may not find the same entries, and still another may want to remove entries required for ... Read more

When you uninstall Microsoft Access or Microsoft Office, the System.mdw file and the sample databases are removed, even if you have made changes to these files.

Missing as in GONE

Had a harddisk hiccup, the computer blue screened. Restart. Windows won't load. Launched recovery console from XP CD. Ran chkdsk /r. Reboot. Windows won't load. Reboot. Start in Safe Mode w/ Command Prompt. Ran System Restore. Chose a restore point from this morning (2 hours before first crash). Reboot. Windows loads fine. Run chkdsk once loaded. Reboot. Finds and fixes all sorts of errors. Reboot. Windows loads fine with no problems. Launch Outlook. Says Outlook.pst cannot be found. Check under c:\documents and settings\username\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook... sure enough, there's no PST file in there. Also missing is the folder where I had a good backup from Friday. Hmmm. Scanpst is no good to me, as there are NO current PST files on the drive. I've got a good backup from January of this year, but I'd rather not restore that since I'd be missing several months of emails.

What gets me is that my backup folder gone. Probably should have chosen a better location for it (it was a subfolder under the usual folder where the PST is located).

Any thoughts?

A:outlook.pst file missing

Crossgrain do not save any new data onto the drive, it may cause permanent loss of files by overwriting the data you want to recover. Try a file recovery utility like Disk Doctors Instant File Recovery. Whatever the recovery software, though, a potent point to remember is that when you download the program it is best saved on a disk other than the one you hope to recover data from or you could be permanently erasing otherwise recoverable data.

Hope it will again proves it worth.

Hi all,

I am hoping someone can give me advice on the following error message which spontaneously started appearing in Outlook (2007):

"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have been detected in the file xyz.pst. Quit Outlook and all mail-related applications, and then use the Inbox repair tool (Scanpst.exe" to diagnose and repair errors in the file. For more information about the Inbox repair tool see Help".

Is the "Scanpst.exe" file already installed on my system with Outlook? If not please post a url where it can be downloaded for Win7 64 bit Ultimate. I have read a few forums pointing to errors with xml files used for the Navigation Pane. Could that perhaps be the issue here or is the Scanpst.exe route the only way to fix it?

There is a simple way to view attachments without opening them. Hit Ctrl+F3 and a message source box will open, scroll down and if you see code then it is advisable to delete the entire e-mail. Shift+Delete.

I was protected the other night from viewing that Signature while in Outlook Express, a prompt came up asking if I wanted to run an activeX component not marked as safe. Being a bit more cautious with my own computer I said no and was rewarded with the reason. The poster was complaining about a signature being added that was calling for a kak.htm file.
