I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi walbar, and welcome to TSG.

How and where is a site blacklisted?

If you are on some type of school or work network that blocks access to certain web sites, you will not find any type of help at TSG to work around such blocking.

Hi Guys,

Our work IP address has been blacklisted by AOL because we got attacked a few months back, we've been removed from all other blacklists but we can't seem to get taken off the AOL one.

After 30minutes on the phone being moved from department to department and person to "techy" (I use this word very loosely) and no luck.

Does anyone know how I can get myself removed please? - I've been trying for about a week and a half now _. As we have some of our customers on AOL I'm getting nagged at to sort it out.
Thanks in advanced for any help you can give.

Matt

MattHobbs,

Since AOL is the one that has you black listed, I'm not sure there is anything we can do for you. You are going to have to go through AOL to get this resolved.

Let ask what may be a silly question. Have you gone to the link (below) provided in the log and submitted the required form?

Concerning MailWasher Pro and its Blacklist: I would like to have an expression from those using this fine program, as to how they have configured their Blacklist? That is, how many days are you allowing for the Blacklisted e-mails to expire before they are, I understand, deleted? I seem to be accumulating a heck of a lot spam Blacklisted e-mails, which appear to be taking up more and more space on my hard drive. It would be appreciated if you guys would allow me the benefit of your experience with the accumulation of these Blacklisted e-mails.

Thanks,

We have a company that we send emails to frequently, but just today, we started getting a bounceback message whenever sending an email to them.

You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator.

If you haven't run the update function in awhile and gotten the blacklist updated, blacklist #9 has been released.

Connect to the Internet, open EASYCLEANER, then click Updates - Check - Blacklist. Once EASYCLEANER has been closed and reopened, the blacklist will be up-to-date.

This is the information on what the last 2 blacklist updates(#8 and #9) are for:

Blacklist #9

Fixes:

Registry finder now skips "\BounceBack Express\", deleting it would cause "Bounceback Express 6.0" not to work correctly

Registry finder now skips "NewTech Infosystems\NTI", deleting it would cause "NewTech Infosystems" not to work correctly anymore

Registry finder now skips "\codemap\", deleting it would cause some problems with custom keyboard shortcut systems

Blacklist #8

Fixes:

Unnecessary file finder now skips "hpqgends.tmp", deleting it would cause certain HP printers not to work correctly anymore

Unnecessary file finder now skips "checksums.chk", deleting it would cause a game called "Anarchy Online" not to work correctly anymore

Unnecessary file finder now skips "TVChannelList.tmp", deleting it would cause "Power Cinema 4" not to work correctly anymore

Hi Canadian_Yoshi,

Have you checked to see if this process is listed in the autostart options?

Go to Start > Search > type "Msconfig" > Hit ENTER.
Go to Startup/Services tabs, see if you can find the process/application associated with Update.exe and Untick that checkbox.
Reboot the machine.

A:How to blacklist in Nokia 6300

No

Only your provider, may do that. And they won't.

All you can do, is call screening, so you know who is calling, and not answer it.
Or change your phone number, and don't give it out.

I have apparently had my email listed on a blacklist site. Checked all the common blacklisters, and only BlackHole lists my email address. I asked to be removed to no avail. The two people I try to email are both with government. They do not know (from their end) who is blocking me. They are also not in a position to ask Blackhole to re-instate me. (Some internal thing).

Any ideas? Thanks

A:How to get removed from email blacklist

Usually those lists block domains or IP ranges, they don't usually block just a singular e-mail address. What is the domain you are sending from?

You may want to consider getting a new e-mail account on a different domain.

I manage a few computers and would like to use windows 7 (None of the computers are attached to a domain) to block all other SSIDs other than the one I want them to connect to. These are desktop computers so I do not ever want them to connect to anything other than my network. Is there a way to do it? I have talked to a couple others and one said that the only way is to  have a custom script. I am willing to go that route if anyone could get me started. I know with Server it is much easier and there is acually and 802.11 policies section in the GPO. Unfortunately Server is not a possibility. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Just save the textfile that contains the friends and blacklist and copy it back in on another installation. The text file is called 'blacklist' but it actually contains your friends list too.
In WinXP it lives here
"C:\Documents and Settings\'your user name'\Application Data\MailWasherPro\Blacklist.txt"
In Win98/ME it lives here

I'm at the point I need expert help to sort this out. I am having bounce problems with two domains. Both problems are intermittent. In attempting to resolve these, I have discovered that my IP is listed on SORBS. I suspect this listing may be the cause of one or both of these problems. (http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ip4r.ch?ip=24.148.170.248)

I am Windows XP using Mozilla Thunderbird, in-home network router, ISP is Earthlink.net.

The first problem is with excite.com, which is my husband's ISP. My messages to him bounce with this notification to me:

host xmxpita.excite.com [208.45.133.107]: 554 Service unavailable; Client host [207.69.195.104] blocked using blackholes.excite.com; Your message could not be delivered. See http://blackholes.excite.com/ Error:
WS-05

Earthlink has it's folks working on this one, and says it may possibly be related to the SORBS listing. (By the way, I had to write snail mail to their corporate VP before I got any real attention). However, the problem is only intermittent, so my IP isn't completely blocked. Possibly it's only picking up language in my messages - one message mentioned his life insurance policy and was blocked, but other messages say nothing spam-like, and are still blocked.

I have attempted to contact excite myself, but my e-mail to them bounces!!! I cannot find any street address or corporate office listed - it's hard to figure out who owns them.

The second problem is with a friend who is on his e... Read more

Thank you in advance for helping out.
I am not sure if it is safe to reveal my complete ip address so I put some ***.
If it's needed I will send you in private or secured message.

My ip has been listed on CBL (Spamhaus) blacklist since early August 2016.
I tried many things in below order:
1) Changed all mail accounts password.
2) Turned off mail server Open relay.
3) Installed Kaspersky small office security to scan and deleted possible risky files (.dll .exe).

I delisted my ip for three times but it is relisted again.
Attached CBL lookup.pdf  is the most recent CBL lookup from http://www.abuseat.org/ .

Please instruct me on what to do next to clean up this Kelihos virus, and delist from CBL, thank you.

On 9/14, 2016 I finally found a weird email, which shows one of our mail accounts (liao) is sending spam to itself !

Can I blacklist that chrome process with NVT ERP? Problem is the list of chrome processes over there doesn't seem to specify which extension it belongs to. I tried blacklisting by Process ID, but I ending up blacklisting chrome.exe instead of a specific process.

watching a hijackthis analyst clean up malware from an infected computer has become a hobby for me.
i have noticed that system32 files get alot of focus. i can't tell if they are missing or not, most anaysts don't elaborate on why they do what they do, but when an analyst repairs a system32 file, it's probably because it's infected (my guess).
is there some kind of whitelist available that says "these are the common legitimate system32 files", or maybe even a blacklist like "this is a surefire infection system32 file", or some website dedicated to system32 files with a dialog box where you put the name of the file in there and push "enter" and it tells whether it's legitimate or not, or common for a certain location.
not only that, but i would be interested in any kind of resources that help hijackthis analysts.
sorry if i posted this in the wrong place. thanks, Ed

A:Can I Find A System32 Whitelist, Blacklist, Or Both?

Although I do not get the impression that you are actually doing this on your own computer, I feel obliged to give a warning just incase yourself or others decide to do such a thing. Messing around with and deleting files in the System32 folder can have serious implications; the computer can be rendered inoperable and a format will be necessary. As for researching file names, I would personally say that in the early stages, Google is your best friend. Typing in the whole path and filename will generally give you reliable results as to whether it is legitimate and necessary or malware-related. It was certainly a great help to me when I began my HijackThis training. Over time however, you learn to understand which are the common (legit) files on a computer, and any that you do not recognise starts to ring bells and you investigate further. Whilst it is not always the case, and infact some harmless files do this as well, a tell-tale sign of a malware file is a long string of random letters and numbers. Something like C:\WINDOWS\System32\H7jkI00mLGyAnn98.exe is going to be malware 99% of the time. if you are interested in learning more about malware detection and removal, we do offer a HijackThis training programme here at BleepingComputer, but as far as I know we are not accepting applicants at the moment. Obviously this is extremely popular, and with only a limited number of mentors, if we accepted too many people we would be completely snowed under. Malware Removal Training Pro... Read more

i used to use kas av too. it had a nice blacklist feature. I can't find a standalone for it nor in the free anti-virus programs (commercial versions just don't seem worth their salt anymore). I tried to find a way to make my own list with opensbi but it appears its neither here nor there as far as blacklists are concerned. spybot doesn't seem to have a way to append their list, and use that easy integrate button either. Then again, what I'm really talking about is taking these 1000+ entry lists and putting them in restricted sites, like the immunize feature with spybot and spyware terminator. I haven't found a bulk importer for this purpose. I'm not sure a blacklist would be the same thing as an bulk importer for internet explorer (or preferably flock because I can say IE isn't stacking up to pancakes either). I had been told that restricted sites has a config file, but haven't been able to find it and i'm unsure if this would also apply to flock.

Also thanks for the process lasso link, not sure if its having issues with 7 or not I've had a few crashes since installing it and sysinternals peid says it has a packer in it. Google ... Read more

Hello!I just bought a Lenovo T420 without a WIFI -Card, Is there any way to remove this so i can use a 6235 Intel card instead of the 6205 which was in it originally?

A:Lenovo T420 remove BLACKLIST WIFI CARD??

Welcome to the Lenovo Community!

Actually, it's not a blacklist, but a whitelist.Anyway, I suggest flashing this modified BIOS version: https://www.sendspace.com/file/0whb9r

In addition to the removed whitelist, it has several other advantages over the original BIOS.

What on earth do I do?

Monday

Midday, a spam email was sent from my account to all my contacts. I could still log on, see my emails and send new emails but no incoming mails were reaching my mail box. Asked a quesiton on Gmail Answers forum, but got a useless response

Tuesday, by 2pm my account was suspended completely, I can;t log in? I can't reset my password? there is on line form to fill out to contact customer care, I filled it out, but no one has responded.

Wednesday, still can't log in to my account, filled out the form again, but again no response

Thursday, still can't log in to my account - 8 years of emails lost. Lots of security and privacy concerns. Tried phoning Gmail, but the london number[Removed]is for billing enquiries and you need a credit card, I don't pay for any services from Gmail, and this is not a billing enquiry.

HOW DO YOU CONTACT GMAIL, and I don;t mean an online form, I have done all that, I mean telephone and speak to a person, or LIVE CHAT with a human not a "Bot"

So I want to ask what is Genuine Gmail Phone Number For United Kingdom, is 0800 086 8676 Gmail Contact Phone Number UK

Thanks

A:IS UK GMAIL PHONE NUMBER 08000 86 8676 GMAIL HELPLINE TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR UK? :( :'

Hi, welcome to TSF

Google don't offer phone support for these kind of problems, only online forms, so be very careful if you decide to use that 0800 number. ie. don't give any personal details over the phone.

It's better to use their official support lines:
Problems signing in to your account
Having trouble signing in?

Do you have a link to the customer care page you used? There are lots of scammers out there pretending to be google support.

I am having some problems with the Gmail application and Notifier as of late. Basically the Gmail Desktop Notifier I have is unable to connect to my Gmail account.

A quick run down of what I know.

* No matter what web browser you tell Gmail to use as the default, it always goes through IE to access your Gmail account.

* The notifier doesn't actually use POP3 or IMAP to the best of my knowledge, meaning if something is messed up with IE/Gmail the application won't work correctly.

* I can access my Gmail account from any non-IE browser (but can't use the notifier).

*I can technically access my Gmail account from IE, but I have to clear my cache/cookies to do this and every time I reboot the problem returns and I can no longer access Gmail from IE.

* I have both Gmail and IE set up to use SSL2 encryption, makes no difference enabled or not.

* I have tried uninstalling the notifier, removing all traces of it from my system, clearing IE's cache/cookies, and reinstalling with no luck.

* I have reset IE7 to defaults and this made no difference.

* I have tried without a firewall/AV active

* Using a fully updated XP Pro SP3

* This is a new problem that has plagued only my last few reformats, even though I am using the same disk as I have for a while and have never had this problem previously.

* I am using an nLite disk, but it has worked fine for at least 10 reformats before I started having problems.

Thanks for the help. If I have left out any... Read more

I got curious about the gmail drive shell extension application, so I installed it and it worked just fine while at university (ethernet wired connection, very fast). Today I was home and saw I couldn't open gmail. It said 502 Server Error.

SO I uninstalled gmail drive extension, and deleted all cookies, temp files, ran registry cleaning. Then restarted.

Upon restart, I STILL got that 502 server error.

What could be the problem? I would rather not do system restore because I have installed a lot of programs since then, and really don't feel like redoing it. But I don't know how I could fix the problem manually.

If anybody has any suggestions, please. Thanks!

I've tried searching everywhere, & I cannot find a solution to this problem.  I have a contact who shows up in my Chat list on the left of my Gmail, who I would like to remove.  He has two e-mail addresses, one gmail, the other is @una.edu (his college address).  I've tried deleting him entirely, but the latter address still shows up in my Gmail Chat list, to my frustration.  He never uses that address anymore, so I desperately want to unclutter the list by taking it off.  There is no option to block, remove, or set it to "never show", so I'm coming here for help.  Hope you all can help me out!

A:Removing a Contact on Gmail Chat (No gmail e-mail address)

From the Web: How to remove a contact from chat list? - Google Product Forums

1. From your inbox, click the bold link on the left:
"Contacts".
A list pops up with all your groups:
"Friends, Family, Coworkers, Gremlin Trainers, Most Contacted, All Contacts... etc",
2. Select All Contacts.
A list pops up with all your Contacts. You can even search, if thats how deep you roll, but that probably means you have too many contacts and why not just leave that one?
3. Select that person you don't really hate per se, but just don't want to see in your chat status list...
A window pops up with various options for where to move/what to do with that contact, including: "Show in chat list"4. Set that contact to: Auto, Always, Never, or Block.

Helping a friend move to Windows 8. We cannot figure out how to move contacts from Gmail on XP to Gmail on Windows 8. We have Exported to a thumb drive (.wab) and plugged into the Windows 8 computer. Dialog box asked if we wanted to import and we said yes. Going to gmail there is NO contacts list.

What do we need to do to get the contacts transferred to Gmail?

A:Move contacts from gmail on XP to gmail on windows 8

Gmail supports importing contacts from CSV format so you need to export the contacts to a CSV file from XP then from the brower, log into gmail, click on Contacts then click on More->Import then click again on Import and select the CSV file.

Once you have setup the Gmail from Windows 8, the contacts should be there.

I have been using my Gmail account for years on my PC without having to sign in (already saved) and my written down saved PW now doesn't work (on my laptop after I reset it). But if I want to access my Gmail from another computer (which I do) I cannot login.

I have a recovery AOL email address but as I had not used it for more than 90 days I had to renew it - the PW remains the same but when I get Gmail to send a PW reset code to that AOL address nothing arrives.

As that Gmail PW is somewhere on my PC how can I access it and read the characters?

Can anyone advise please?
