I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

I bought wireless mouse Trust MI-4930Rp and SONY VAIO laptop BZ11XN on Jan 27, 2009 with preinstalled Windows Vista Business 32 SP1. My OS.
Unfortunately, after plugging USB receiver to notebook driver automatically installed by Vista and mouse work about 5 seconds and then freeze ? mouse doesn't respond to any movement, scrolling and clicking button.

Please, note that mouse?s USB receiver is attached to PC, battery put in mouse and mouse is turned On (red lazer working). Also I tried to reinstall driver from mouse CD and then I also downloaded latest driver from manufacture: Trust - Wireless Optical Mini Mouse MI-4930Rp - Trust R series_02.exe. But problem remained: After plugging USB receiver on laptop, mouse working about 5 sec. and then freeze.

Please also note, that I download and installed all Windows Vista Business SP1 updates and all VAIO drivers updates for my laptop.
After all of my actions, I also download additional re-pairing tool from the manufacture site Trust - Home - RF_DST_1.0.0903.exe with manual. Although, in manual I found note that this software not designed for Vista, try to install it. But, it didn't work.

After that I contacted with manufacture and they recommended to uninstall all mouse driver and reinstall driver from website again - Trust R series_02.exe.

Then I uninstalled all mouse drivers and installed driver from website. But unfortunately, it didn't help.

I got a wireless mouse Penguin Ambidextrous Vertical Mouse | Posturite. It is supposed to use generic windows 2.4 Ghz adapter. However, windows 7 is unable to find any drivers. The screenshot of device manager is appended. I tried various other ways e.g. take out other USB devices, reboot etc. I tried sfc /scannow . But the error persists. There is no usb.inf file in the C:\Windows . It works in Windows 8 machine but not in windows 7. other 2.4 Ghz mice work. The manufacturer says that they don't provide the drivers because the mouse uses generic drivers
Please advise what can be done.

I just updated my ThinkPad S431 to Windows 10 but I can't find a wireless driver for it, including on the Lenovo website.  Does anyone know where I can find a driver?  Is Lenovo going to release one soon? My network adapter is the Broadcom '2x2 11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI Express Half Mini Card Adapter'.

A:ThinkPad S431 Windows 10 Wireless Driver

Hi, welcome to the forum.

You are right, I searched the Thinkpad S431 site and I didn't find any Broadcom wireless driver (seems that there are some other models with the Intel driver).

Can you check on the Window Device Manager the Hardware ID  of your wireless adapter? Sometimes with the HardwareID it gets easier to find the driver on Google.

The other things that I use (that is not officially supported by Lenovo) is DriverEasy. It offers a free, decent enought, way to recognize drivers against its database and show you some update versions of your drivers. The free version also allow you to download the driver (in a slow way).

Check it out to see if it gives you some hints.

Regards

Hello Gurus, May I have your time to help on this case? My thinkpad model is X1 Carbon 3rd generation 20BS, which has run smoothly for years with customized touchscreen hardware. From last week, I suddenly noticed that "touchscreen" is not in operation and "wired USB mouse" can't be recognized by Win10. When checking their status in Device Manager, it shows their drivers aren't in installed. The detailed screenshot from Device Manager is as the bottom. I have tried following ways to solve-out, but doesn't work:1, Remove the unknown devices from Device Managers, then restart to make the OS to reinstall the drivers again, but touchscreen and USB mouse still don't work;2, Try to find touchscreen driver from Lenovo support portal, but there is no particular link to download for updating the driver;3, Remove "Mice and other pointing devices" from Device Manager for installation, but seems nothing to do with "touchscreen" and "USB mouse", still not work. All above ways can't help my problem out. Would you please suggest that? Thank you in advance. Leo.Touchscreen driver missed in win10

Hi Lenovo, I have a strange issue with the USB-C Dock  If I plug-in my Logitech G502 mouse then it will work for a minute and then randomly hangs and freezes. If I plug-in the mouse directly into my Lenovo T470 then everything works fine What I've tried: - Update of Intel Chipset Driver- Update of Firmware (of Laptop and Docking Station)- Restart of laptop many times- Swap of docking station (exact same model)- Reinstall of Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver- Remove of device via device manager- Remove of Logitech G Software (and reinstall)  It doesn't matter where I plug the mouse into the docking station it will freeze after a minute for about 30 seconds. Then it will work again for 30 seconds and then freeze forever.  Laptop is connected via USB-C cable to the rear USB-C port of th dock so that the battery will be charged as well. Regards, Alex

my Targus PAWMIOU USB WIRELESS MOUSE stopped working on my laptop (runs XP). In trying to troubleshoot I deleted a USB HID driver. According to the troubleshooting guide the driver would be found and reinstalled when I plugged i the mouse again but it did not.

When I plug it in a get USB Driver not recognized

The mouse works on another PC, also running XP

I a not sure whether the problem at this point is that the driver is not recognized because I deleted it. I have ried to find a way to download an HID driver, but have not been successful.

When I go to device manager HID I see an HID compliant device , which may be what I am suppsoed to see and maybe I am not missing a driver at all. Not really sure

I have quite an odd problem concerning an IBM Thinkpad and a wireless connection. I have the IBM connected through a Dell Truemobile wireless router. Most of the time, the connection is fine.

However, sometimes, maybe once a day, the laptop will lose the wireless connection entirely. I go into the Network Connections and click connect to re-connect to the wireless network. Sometimes, however, nothing will be listed. No matter how many times I refresh, it will pick up no networks at all. As such, I am forced to restart the computer. Then, all will be fine. That is, until it happens again.

Does anyone have any ideas? This is quite the nuisance!

Thanks.

A:IBM Thinkpad & Wireless Problem

Does the laptop have the wireless built in, or are you using something like a PCMCIA card? In either event, try updating or re-installing the drivers.
In the case of the PCMCIA card, try another port (if you have one).

Hi people,

I have an IBM Thinkpad T42 which is about 3 years old. Lately I have been having
problems with my wireless connection.

For no reason apparently sometimes it shows a message saying "This connection has
limited or no connectivity" even though the signal strength is good or excellent.

Usually this happens when I startup my computer but sometimes it also happens while
I'm using it. The connection just drops.

Restarting the computer does not help. Disabling and enabling the wireless card also
does not help. Repairing the connection does not help. (These fixes sometimes worked
a while back but they no longer work) After a while the connection is restored -
maybe a few minutes, sometimes a few hours. I have absolutely no clue what is
happening.

The problem is not the network since I could connect with a different laptop.

Thanks for any comments,
Rajesh

You may have two wireless utilities (clients) running. One would be Windows XP SP2's WZC. Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services - find Wireless Zero Configuration. If you are not using this to manage the wireless then Stop it and set the Startup Type to 'disabled.'

If you are using WZC make sure no other wireless utility is running.

The DELL Inspiron 17R SE 7720of of my mother was used  since years and without problems with a wireless mouse and keyboard connected to.
But now, since I installed the drivers for a new "Brother DCP-L2500D" printer/scanner device, the wireless mouse and keyboard stopped working - more precisely: After a start/restart of Windows, the wireless mouse & keyboard are dysfunctional at the login screen. If then the printers USB connection is unplugged, the wireless mouse & keyboard are back operational after like 10 seconds.
I have tested all available USB ports and "permutated" the connections in all possible combinations - to no avail...
Any hint/idea how to fix this is highly welcome!

BTW: The laptops built-in keyboard and touch-pad are never affected and do work all the time. The OS is Windows 7 Home Professional (64bit).

A few days ago, the System Update utility updated the touchpad driver to version 19.3.4.119. I'm having 2 issues: 1) I do not use my touchpad and therefore disable it. However, every time my machine comes out of sleep or reboots, the touchpad is re-enabled. I disable it "correctly" by going to (Start Menu) -> (Mouse Settings) -> (Additional Mouse Options) -> (ThinkPad tab) -> Uncheck "Enable touchpad".  2) If I enable the touchpad and click the settings button next to "Enable touchpad", the Synaptics Control Panel window appears. This window is very unresponsive. And when I click on the "Click" tab, I get repeated errors that "The parameter value is invalid."  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver to no avail. Now I want to go back, but when I install the normal Lenovo 150mx driver, Windows states that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)." Thus, only the integrated Intel graphics are shown in the task manager and any other programs. I am running a Carbon X1 (I7) notebook together with the above dock. I recently didi a systems update using Lenovo companion. My operating system is Windows 10 pro (latest update). I also use Driver Easy to keep my drivers up to date. Since the systems update, the ethernet port on my docking station no longer works, or at times works intermittently. I have downloaded the latest drivers as well as the latest firmware link to update the dock. This solves the problem for a few minutes until the notebook reverts to the wireless connection. I have tried replacing the ethernet cable but again this works for a few minutes and then loses its connection. If I connect directly to the notebook with the ethernet adapter it works fine. I have tried to find an older driver for the dock but thus far have been unsuccessful. My Thinkpad X1 Carbon 4th 20FB with Win10 was working fine with Photoshop when it had Intel HD Graphics Driver - 10 [64] V21.20.16.4550 Using the Lenovo Companion, I let it upgrade the graphics driver to V21.20.16.4718 back in late July.  Immediately after this upgrade, Photoshop no longer rendered images properly, making it useless.  Images that are opened do not appear on the screen and the UI is jumbled.  I reverted to driver v21.20.16.4550 through Companion as that version was still listed, and everything was fine again.  I noticed the other day upon opening Photoshop that I had the rendering problem again.  I checked my graphics driver version in Device Manager, and somehow it updated to v22.20.16.4785 (although I cannot figure out how, as Lenovo Companion does not show an update to this version in its history, and neither does Windows Update). All I want to do is rollback my graphics driver to v21.20.16.4550, which I know works.  But this is not an option any longer in Companion, and this version is not present on the Lenovo website either.  Obtaining this version through 3rd party websites is not Lenovo specific and refuses to install. Please provide me a link or a place to go where I can get Intel HD Graphics Driver - 10 [64] V21.20.16.4550

Good morning to all!!

I am trying to connect a Thinkpad to my wireless network. I have 2 other PCs happily chugging along on the network, which is 128-WEP enabled with OPEN authentication. I have typed the same key into the Thinkpad to no avail. I have never run into this problem before with another PC and am leaning toward thinking it's something with the mini PCI adapter? Any help would be appreciated.

Here's the settings specific to the configuration of the mini PCI adapter:

11a Transmit Rates: 54Mbps
11b Transmit Rates: 11 Mbps
11d Mode Switch: Enable
80211b Preamble: Long and Short
Auto Transmit Rate: Enable
Extended Channel Mode: Disable (for N. America)
Network Address: Not Present
Power Save Mode: Maximum
Radio On/Off: On
Roam Time (sec): 45
Roam Time Threshold (db): 15
Transmit Power: 100%
Wireless Mode Selection: Auto

I have tried the Wireless Mode Selection in both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz, but it didn't make a diff. My router is D-Link AirPlusG 802.11g and I allow for backwards compatibility, with open authentication. I run a DHCP server for up to 10 clients and am currently only serving 5. As I live in BFE and broadcast my SSID (closest neighbor is 5 miles away lol). I've tried filtering by MAC, as well as disabling the WEP 128 encryption entirely. I'm at a total loss on this one.

Thanks for the help......Bubblz

  Hello there

I am using Windows 10. I made a Windows update. The version of the 1803 OS has been disabled after I updated the 17133.1 version. I downloaded and did not download the driver for the graphics card from Lenovo Support. He's making trouble. I also downloaded the latest driver from Intel support, which is incompatible with this version of Windows. How we can solve this problem ?

Hello and welcome to the CommunityIt's an Intel Serial IO SPI Host Controller. The driver for win10 should be included in the image or installed as an update. You might get it from ms update catalog manually.

Hi everyone.

I've just updated to Windows 7 as part of an upgrade to my rig, swapping the Athlon XP in favour of the Athlon X2 64. I was going to stick with XP as my OS, for I'd heard a Lot of talk about issues with drivers, but I figured that if I was going to upgrade the entire system then why not the OS too. Finding the drivers I needed was in some cases quite laborious, but not as bad as expected. Except for one.

I have a Mikomi wired optical mouse, model number BW-5 & it's got the 'Office' button that I find very useful. I was using A4Tech's BW-5 driver for it with Windows XP but, much as I've searched, I can't seem to find any drivers for this model of mouse for Windows 7...

I have tried running the A4Tech driver install in XP compatibility mode, without success & have also tried the Smart X7 mouse driver version 7.80 suggested by a member here for a different mouse model, but it didn't have the functionality for the 'Office' button. So I'm clean out of ideas & would welcome any help or suggestions you can offer. Thanks

P.s. If there is no Windows 7 driver that can be used for this model of mouse then could anyone suggest a decent alternative that has about the same functionality & number of buttons?

@Daf T Duck

I have the same mouse model. I simply love that mouse and used the buttons a lot in Windows XP. I hope that a solution or an equal alternative is available out there.

I want to ask you if there is something new ?! Have you managed to make it work inside Windows 7 ?!

You say that the Smart X7 mouse driver version 7.80 works partially for BW-5, is it possible to cut and paste using the two small buttons located at mouse's top middle ?!

Please let me know. Have a blessed day!
