I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Dear All, i am having issues with lenovo yoga pro 3  after upgrading to Windows 10 i am not able to share the screen on another monitor. this was working fine on windows 8 Please help Thanks

A:lenovo yoga pro 3 Display issue

I don't know if this will help you or not, but when I upgraded my yoga 2 pro to windows 10, I had to go into device manager and manualy update the graphics drivers. Windows would not do it automatically. Maybe that would help fix your issue.

I recently replaced my Lenovo Yoga 2 pro touch display, it was cracked and touch went crazy, the crack was from the side which made it usable by disabling the touch drivers. After a while i decided to replace the screen and get back the touch feature. but now i'm suffering that i cannot use it in tablet mode for the following reasons: After screen replacement, when lid is closed it thinks that it is in tablet mode and screen stays on and doesn't go to sleep mode as it was before replacement, while if I put it in tablet position screen goes off and it goes to sleep mode thinking it is in closed lid position (i think). if i just  lift it up only 2 mm from tablet position it gets back on.Please advise !!

Something odd.  I got the Windows 10 Anniversary Update a couple of days ago (Aug 3 2016).I usually keep my screen resolution at 1600x900 (easier on my aging eyes for everyday use). Now I have noticed that when I reboot, my login screen is garbled - only the top-left quarter of the login screen can be seen.  I need to shutdown and restart, and then all is fine. This only happens after a full reboot (not a hibernate), and only seems to be the 1600x900 resolution. 3200x1800 (the native resolution) and 1920x1080 do not seem to exhibit this issue.Note that all three of the above-mentioned resolutions have the same aspect ratio Any ideas?  Is it just me? Thanks!

I purchased an external monitor on Friday.  It worked on Friday and Saturday. Sunday when I booted up, the external monitor no longer worked. The history appears to show an automatic update occurred overnight.  I was running Windows 8.1.  I upgraded to 10.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the intel video driver, I reinstalled the chipset driver.  I have trimmed the micro HDMI cord as suggested in one of the posts.  I have seen enough posts on the various boards to know my issue does not seem to be an isolated case... but I haven't been able to find an explanation of the cause or a reliable solution.  Any help is appreciated.

I've read a lot of reviews for USB C to HDMI adapters on Amazon, and I can't seem to find a consensus on which ones will work with the Lenovo 720.  I see there is an official Lenovo adapter, but it is double the price of most of the other adapters.  There are other adapters that specifically say that they don't work with the Lenovo 720.  Does anyone have first hand experience with a good adapter that is plug and play?  I saw someone else talking about adjusting the deep colour setting (or something like that) on their monitor to get the adapter to work.  I don't want to have to do anything like that.

I unistalled and reinstalled both Intel and Nvidia graphics drivers. Additionally, I opened the laptop to check the solder connection of the HDMI port and it looks fine.

If so, have a look on the following post, this should show if your device has been tested with the update yet:

From what I can see, your unit does not seems to have made the list, which leads me to believe that this will be the cause of the issue, I would recommend that you revert back to the previous version of Windows, and observe if the fault still occurs or not.

Hey everyone, I'm having this problem with Dota 2 and Diablo III. Whenever I connect my approximately 15" laptop to my 24" monitor using an HDMI cable, it forces me to use a lower resolution in order for the game to not be laggy. When I use my laptop by itself, it can support the highest resolution which is like 1324 x 1024 or something like that, in addition to all the highest settings (except shadow), and the game looks perfect. However, when I connect it to my monitor, there are many more resolutions to choose from, the highest being 1924 x 1000 or something, but when I choose this resolution the game LOOKS like it does when I just use my laptop at the 1324 x 1024 (or something close to that) resolution but it plays much much slower and forces me to use a lower resolution such as 1024 x 800 in order for it to be playable at the cost of graphics. I'm just wondering because when I play other games on my laptop that's hooked up to my monitor the games I play look the exact same on the monitor as they do on the laptop and I'm not forced to use a lower resolution, such as HoN. But when I play dota 2 and Diablo 3, the graphics become shittier on my monitor because I am forced to use a lower resolution. I don't need or want a higher resolution supported by my monitor if using it only makes the game laggy and unplayable, I'd rather use the lower resolution of my laptop with the perfect graphics and have it displayed in that exact way onto the monitor, which is what happe... Flangdoogler, welcome to the Seven Forums.

The full make and model of your laptop would help, as then we could see what it has for graphics in it (GPU). Depending on what it is it is likely that you answered your own question,

Quote:
Or is that I simply cannot have the same graphics displayed on my laptop (15") be copied exactly onto my monitor (24") due to graphics card reasons?

If the graphics card in the laptop isn't up to running it at high settings and resolution, then one or the other has to be lowered (and most time both) to get the game to be playable.

No update could fix this problem. The only solution I could do is to "Set a custom scaling level" which does make text normal for comfort viewing but the graphics are not clear. Besides many programs still remain small.I would really appreciate the help to fixing my problem. The display adaptors?

I am using a usb-c to hdmi adapter to output to a TV but the black levels look washed out. I had no issues with the same TV and a previous laptop that had a dedicated hdmi port. In the intel graphics settings usually there is a "quantization range" setting to change color space between RGB Limited and RGB Full if the intel graphics is driving the hdmi port. However, in this case, there is no hdmi port but instead a usb-c to hdmi adapter, thus the quantization range setting is missing. I've had the same issue before on a previous laptop with usb-c. I've tried installing thel atest drivers, including the non-validated ones from the intel website, but none give me the quantization range setting.

Hi,
I searched the forums and the only posts involved the AMD card and I have an Nvidia card.  I couldn't find any information on the K4000M so I called tech support and they told me it was 2560x1600.  But then I found another forum where they said even the K1000M can do 4k.
I hooked up my 4k TV to the HDMI and used the Nvidia custom resolution to set up 3840x2160 at 30 hz and the display works.  The graphics look great, but the text is super fuzzy.  The TV supports 4K at 60Hz, but I'm not sure if the HDMI port on the back of my M6700 supports 60Hz.
Does the HDMI support 60Hz at 4k?  What about the display port?  Any idea why my text is super fuzzy while the graphics are razor sharp?
Thanks,
Ali

A:Precision M6700 Nvidia Quadro K4000M max resolution 4K monitor display port hdmi refresh rate

Hi,
First, I'm going to refer you to this article from Nvidia discussing Ultra 4k Resolution.  The important statement is this:

The current HDMI 1.4 standard only has bandwidth for 4K at 30hz. HDMI 2.0 will add support for 4K at 60Hz. Details should become clearer in late 2013. There are a few TVs on sale today that support 4K @ 30Hz through HDMI.

Now, according to this review and article about the K4000m card specifications, it states that the card has HDMI 1.4 connections, which means it won't, theoretically, handle Ultra 4k resolution at the 60Hz bandwidth.
I also found this on documentation online about the Precision 6700.

The Precision™ M4700 & M6700 incorporates HDMI version 1.4. Features

So, unfortunately, it doesn't sound like that card will support the higher refresh rate needed.
As for Display port

DisplayPort cables are much simpler to define: There’s just one type! The current version, DisplayPort 1.2, delivers enough bandwidth to carry video resolutions of up to 3840 by 2160 pixels at a refresh rate of 60Hz

So Display Port would be a much better option for you, if available.
I hope this answers your questions.
Todd

Hello!

I just recently bought a Yoga 3 Pro and saw that the resolution was very high. It looks very good, but I have seen that some applications are having issues with this. For example, Photoshop below displays all the UI very very small. The application is not really usable. Below you can see a print screen of the program.

Changing the resolution does not work, as the UI is a little bit bigger but still not usable and the overall Windows experience is really bad. I tried the advanced settings to see if 500% of magnification helps and nothing.

Has someone reached a solution for this?

Thanks a lot!

I've got a relatively new Yoga 720 15". Ideally I'd like to be able to "dock" it on my desk by plugging in only the power cable and a USB C hub with my mouse, keyboard, monitor, and audio interface (behringer umc404hd) but I'm having trouble issues when connecting these to USB C hubs (I've tried a few). The mouse, keyboard, and audio interface have worked for me just fine for over a year on another PC, and they work with the Yoga as long as I only use the regular USB 3 ports. I can even use them all connected to a single USB 3 hub which is plugged into one of the regular USB 3 ports. The monitor works fine connected to USB C hubs or a simple USB C-to-HDMI adatper, and doesn't seem to impact the issues I'm having. ---------- Basically, it seems like the USB C port can't handle a very high data throughput: If I plug in the audio interface to the USB C hub, my headphone output crackles every once in a while and sounds slightly staticy. When the mouse is also plugged in, the interface seems to crackle more frequently and reliable whenever I move the mouse around. The faster I'm moving the mouse, the more crackles. The keyboard also seems to cause increased crackles when I'm typing, but to a lesser extense. The interface streams high resolution audio data with 4 channels out and 4 channels in and the mouse is a high dpi "laser" mouse, but neither one should even be a struggle over USB 2. If I plug in just the keyboard it seems to be fine, however with... My Thinkpad Yoga 15 has a problem, which may or may not be related to the BIOS update recently performed. When booting, the bootup screen only appears on an external monitor via the HDMI output. When performing the hardware tests in the BIOS, tests are done on the HDMI-connected display, the internal display does not seem to be recognized. I verified this using both Linux and Windows. It does not seem to be a hardware failure; I have been able to get the display on the internal LCD a few times, by powering down the laptop, holding the power button for about 20 seconds, then powering back on while pressing F1. The laptop will then function for a while, but loses its display after coming out of sleep. Needless to say, this is unworkable. Does anyone have any tips on how this could be fixed in a more permanent fashion or any indication to cause? BIOS does not allow me to turn off NVIDIA, or its opposite, to enable it exclusively. I also tried different drivers, from both Lenovo as well as NVIDIA and Intel, but to no avail. Any pointers appreciated.

I have had my Yoga 2 Pro for about a week now. Slowly adapting to the ins and outs of the device. Just recently acquired a micro-HDMi to HDMi adapter to connect the Yoga 2 to my TV. Needless to say I was a bit dismayed when I noticed that the adapter worked, but only if I tugged on the connection (towards the front of the machine). When I let go, the screen would disconnect and I would have no picture. This angered me a bit. I read a bit about others having the same issues.I slept on the issue one night and then in the morning I decided to take matters into my own hands. Grabbed a nail file I had laying around and shaved off about a nail file's width off of the end of the micro-HDMi connector. I could barely see any difference in the cable connector. Then I tried plugging it in and voila. No issues whatsoever. Tried angling the connector towards the back, down, up, front. No interruptions...I know it is a bit frustrating, but I like the rubbery feel of the Yoga 2 body and was willing to do a bit of DIY to make this work. Took about 5 minutes in total. Now am happy again...Give this a try if you have a problem with the connection.Just thought I'd share... lootzius

While the External display is plugged in - it is using the Intel Integrated. I have came across a similar topic in here:https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-P-Y-and-Z-series/Lenovo-Z50-70-HDMI-not-working-when-connecting-... And I have done almost everything except the "RESTART" option. I have checked the HDMI cable and it is High speed - and yes, I am sure - the issue first appeared when I updated the drivers. Now I have reverted to older version of the drivers but still experience the issue.

I have my computer plugged into a monitor via a DVI to HDMI adapter. That is, I have a DVI cable running from my computer to the DVI end of the adapter, which then plugs into an HDMI port on the monitor. My problem is this: regardless of what resolution I choose--1920x1080 is the highest supported by the monitor--the image will not fill the entire screen, thus leaving me with black bars on all sides. Does anybody know a solution to this problem?

A:display resolution issue in P51

This is a common problem for all kinds of high-resolution computers.  Some software is not equipped to deal with high-resolution devices and does not gather the scaling info from windows. You need to contact the software vendor for an update
