I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I got a new Lenovo Yoga 520 notebook a few days ago - initially everything was working fine, however now when I switch it into tablet mode the touch screen is completly unresponsive. I have done all the Lenovo system updates and windows 10 is up to date.  Has anyone experienced a simular issue and knows how I can fix this? Its still under warranty but I would prefer to try and fix myself if possible.

hey all,(First time here, sorry if I'm asking laptop Qs in tablet section.)So, I'm wondering what laptop( or, a "drawing tablet") should I go with. Both has stylus, but samsung has emr, while lenovo is aes.I've been drawing mostly on pencil + pen, and the only "drawing tablet" i have used was galaxy note 2. I mostly draw & sketch things like cars and buildings, and what I want to see is precise pointing and good tracking. (Slippery screen is actually fine, since I've been drawing with slippery pen for more than 2 years.)I got bad taste for aes after the terrible adonit pixel, as it responsed so bad and the drawing point was in wrong place every time when I repositioned my hand.Thx for anyone helping me to make a choice.Any help ?

I recently did a Windows 10 update to my Lenovo Yoge Ideapad  11 S on July 16th and now my touch screen does not work. When I check the drivers for my monitor and touch screen I noticed the driver was missing. I cannot get Lenovo or Microsoft to fix this. What else can I do to get that driver back ?

Hello Dws520Thanks for using the Lenovo forums. Was this the creators update?
If so, have a look on the following post, this should show if your device has been tested with the update yet:
https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/solutions/ht503655

From what I can see, your unit does not seems to have made the list, which leads me to believe that this will be the cause of the issue, I would recommend that you revert back to the previous version of Windows, and observe if the fault still occurs or not.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.==================================================================================Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo! If you find a post helpful and it answers your question, please mark it as an "Accepted Solution"!

I bought the Lenovo yoga 900 in December as i was about start medical school, now after only about 6 months of use, while i was using it one evening, i decided to take a break from school work, when I got back to my computer it had powered down and tried to reboot but didn't make it pass the Lenovo screen, i tired exhausting the battery power and trying it again but to no avail. so my question is has anyone had this kind of problem before and if so what is the solution? Also is this a common problem and how long is the company warranty for my 6 month old computer, in case i need to give it back to get something more reliable, its kind of disheartening as i had believed this was the best decision i made for medical school, but now am left with the possibility of failing the semester due to faullty equipment. SOOO PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME SAVE MY SEMESTER. Thnak youjay

A:Lenovo Yoga 910 wont load pass the Lenovo screen.

Try getting into BIOS first and loading default settings. To do this, press the small "Novo" button (you'll need a paperclip for this), and select "BIOS setup". From there, use the arrow keys to get to the "exit" tab and select load default settings.

If this doesn't work, let me know.

Hi,In the end of the day I turned off my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro, everthing was working well, and a left it connected to the power supply. Half hour later I disconnected from the power plug. The next day when turn it on it stays stopped in the starting black Lenovo Screen. The light from keyboard works, and I can turn it of/on thru the keyboard buttons, but nothing else works and the screen keeps always on the same black lenovo screen.I have tried several solutions as follows:   - Turn it off, and then turn it on. Even tried more than one time and always keep the same;   - Turn it on on safe mode/BIOS (?) by pressing the small in button near the power button, but it turn on and keeps stucked in the same black lenovo screen;   - Turn it off, and press the power button for more than 1 minute. After turn it on and was the same;   - I left it and wait until all the battery was completly dead, then press the power button for long time, and after that connect it to power and turn it on. Nothing, just keeps the same.Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance

Hi we have a Yoga 3 Notebook 80JH and we are having issues starting it. If left alone for a day or so it may boot up, but due to a failed installation of Windows 10, I would like to restore to factory defaults / image. If I restart or shutdown the notebook, it will NOT power up the screen.  The keyboard backlight *may* light up but nothing appears on the screen. Plugging in an HDMI monitor, the Lenovo windows loading screen shows (spinning circles) but then even that then shows black. This appears to be a common failing with these notebooks. I have googled the issue, and followed various 'tricks' like holding power down for 20 seconds whilst the power cable is out, all to no avail.   What appears to be missing is an explanation as to what is going on. Holding the 'Novo' button down makes the notebook act as if the power button had been pushed, again only showing the lenovo loading screen for a bit on the extra HDMI monitor before showing no signal. Any ideas?

From my understanding, as long as the form factor is the same(fits computer) and the connector is identicle it should be possible with just a torx driver. Since you have to hunt around different Lenovo sites (and other sites) to find out about these softwares, I decided to make a post to get feedback from actual Yoga owners on how these programs interact, what they do, which ones are prerequisite, and which ones are unnecessary. Please don't take this as a blanket answer. This is just what I have found. It might be right - it might be wrong. I'm looking for others to post their experiences as well. Lenovo System Interface Foundation Driver - Necessary prerequisite (missing driver in device manager without it). It allows the Lenovo Utility and Lenovo Companion to work. Lenovo Yoga Mode Control - Necessary if you want to use your yoga to seemlessly change between all the different modes (laptop, tablet, tent, stand). This software is responsible for autorotating and putting Windows into tablet mode. Lenovo Utility - Recommended(?) This one I'm not too sure on. I remember that I was missing some function that I wanted but I can't remember what it was now. Maybe battery cycle count and health? Lenovo Companion - I don't have this one installed and don't think it's necessary but would like someone else to shed some light here.

Hello, I contacted a local Lenovo service center in Nigeria where I am and was told by the company that they were unable to order the parts necessary to switch my screen from the company even though I am still covered by 7 more months my warranty for more than. This is unfair as I recently got my laptop (purchased, 28th Septemeber at a Best Buy in Houston while I was visiting for GHC) but I have been unable to use it in peace since I bought it because the screen started flickering almost immediately after. I took it to an authorised Lenovo service center where they confirmed that the screen does have issues that are not software related. They were, however, unable to get it from you guys. I need to use it for school and am already behind on so much because my laptop screen is giving me a hard time. I have the receipt that proves I bought it legitimately and even will provide you other details you might need to prove its purchase.  Please send me the parts I need? I need this screen fixed and it's unfair that I should have to spend $200 on a new screen when I should be getting it fixed for free. I don't mind handling how it gets shipped here but I need my screen fixed. PLEASE.  Buying this Lenovo has brought me nothing but headaches and I regret this decision.

Whenever i lean my Yoga 920 at the center (so all the pressure is focused at top-center), instead of the gums at the four corners, my computer screen blacks out until I remove the pressure. It's a really uncommon way to lean the computer, but I was asking myself if this is a worrying problem. Perhaps, by repeatedly pressuring that point when I might keep the laptop on my laps or when I carry it in a bag it could worsen that problem even more.

A:Lenovo yoga 2 screen not working

hi Gharri

Welcome to the Forums.

When you said  "the screen is on but only the mouse arrow is visable", do you mean the Touchscreen is not working?

If the touchscreen is not working, try the following steps:
1. Open system properties to determine if the OS is detecting the touch capability.
   - Link to picture (Touchscreen not working, proceed to Step 3)
   - Link to picture (Touchscreen is detected, proceed to Step 2)

2. Press the Windows key? +R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. On the device manager, click view > show hidden devices and under Human Interface Devices section, uninstall the HID-compliant device touch screen (this is the driver that controls the touchscreen). When finished, reboot the system and observe.
    - Sample image

3. Turn off the machine and press the OneKey Recovery button and select System Recovery. On the menu, try to touch an item but don't proceed in doing the system recovery -- this is to check if the digitizer (the hardware part that enables touchscreen functionality) is working.

If the Touchscreen is working, boot back into Windows and backup important files then prooceed with the System Recovery.

If the Touchscreen is still not working even in the System Recovery menu then it's likely that the digitizer is faulty and you will need to contact le... Read more

Howdy,I am using a Yoga 3 14 for school and the screen has broken. It is still funtional (I am in fact posting this from it). The only problem is the glass infront of the screen has broken, which i believe is only there for the touchscreen (I assume), so i was wandering if there was anyway to replace only the glass instead of the entire screen, as there are no marks on the display, and it functions 100% correctly. It is not a problem to the performance, although there is concern that leaving it could cause damage to the screen itself aswell.Thankyou,                  Nienoenf

Hello I'm a Lenovo laptop owner in Estonia and it seems like this is the only place I can turn to for technical support. It looks like that the fact that I'm from Estonia makes me ineligible for technical support about my 1000+Eur laptop straight from Lenovo.I can't find a support email address. No luck there. After restarting the pc the screen works properly for about 15min when it starts freaking out again.Could it be a faulty panel or something software related?  Thanks for the help!

A:Lenovo Yoga 910 13-IKB screen freaking out

First of all, it's never a good idea to post a serial number where anyone can see it. You might want to edit that out.

I do suspect a panel issue, but to be sure, use the NOVO button to start the computer and navigate to the BIOS settings. Leave it there for a while and see if the same thing happens.  If it acts up when sitting on the BIOS page, it's probably a loose ribbon cable or bad panel. If it doesn't act up when sitting on the BIOS page, then it's software and there are some things we can try.

For some reason my screen on my laptop spontaneously flickers and basically looks like it's having a seizure. I've tried updating the display driver and updating the system and neither worked. I've also tried the solution that requires you to go to safe mode to disable "Windows error reporting" and "Problems Report and Solutions" and it still hasn't stopped flickering. I bought the laptop about a month ago and the flickering started about a week/week and a half ago. I'd strongly prefer to fix it at home and I really don't want to have to return it to Best Buy to buy a different laptop. Any suggestions/solutions?

Hi Guys! Please go through my complete message as it is very 'painful' experience you can ever come across when buying a laptop. The Lenovo Yoga is not available in Australia. So, I bought the Lenovo Yoga 13" orange i5 128GB from 'adorama.com' for US $999 + UPS shipping $105. Unfortunately the shippment attracted a custom of 185 AUD which I had to pay later. In total, I have already spent 1400 AUD.The UPS courier service delivered the shipment to my address an hour back i.e. today on 5th July,2013. I was very happy to receive the product but when I switched on the laptop, the screen is not working properly and is displaying a number of vertical colored lines. To confirm that it is the screen problem, I connected the laptop to my TV with a HDMI cable upon which I could see the windows display on the TV. This clearly establishes the fact that the laptop's screen is faulty. Next, when I checked the warranty number online it shows that warranty starts from three months earlier than my purchase date which clearly shows that someone registered the laptop before. Also, the charger I received with the laptop looks to be a used one with scratches and marks on it. I am afraid, the product I got from Adorama is damaged and maybe a refurbished one as the charger clearly looks to be used before. I am deeply disappointed with this incident as I was very excited to use that product and also importantly had lots of work to do with it.I contacted Adorama, and they are s... Read more

A:Lenovo Yoga 13 Screen is not working

I have exactly the same problem just a set of vertical lines on the screen. Never before have I had such a pathetic problem except maybe with laptops that are 6 years old. For further details I have the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13-inch Convertible Ultrabook (Orange) - (Intel Core i7 3537U 2.0GHz Processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, WLAN, BT, Webcam, Integrated Graphics, Windows 8) bought from amazon.co.uk ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00CA10NUE ). The screen lasted 6 days before dying. Just enough time for me to waste getting it perfectly set up before it died. There was nothing to indicate prior to the screen failing that it was going to fail. Turned it off one night and turned it on the next morning and the screen was only displaying the vertical bars. I'm going to try sending the Laptop back to Lenovo. I actually managed to get through to the Lenovo support - they have quite a good system of dropping the laptop off in a local shop that is then picked up by Lenovo, they reckon to have a turn around of 10 calendar days. I can recommend trying to call the Belgium helpdesk as Lenovo can never outsource the help desk people since they need to speak French and Dutch but usually they will also speak English - start the conversation with "Parlez vous anglais?" / "Spreek je engels?" . Admittedly it will be no use if you need to return the item, but if you just need a bit of technical support it might be a good way to go.

I have owned my yoga 730 for nearly one month. In general everything related to build quality feels great, except one somewhat significant thing - the screen build near the camera and microphones. The screen seems to "unclip" from the chassis somewhat if I open the laptop from the center. I can press lightly near the microphones and I hear a little plastic "click" as it seems the clips that hold the screen and screen back re-engage. Being a new, relatively expensive item for me, I have not disassembled it to investigate further. At the moment I am being mindful of this and opening and moving the screen by the sides instead of the center. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is this something I should escalate and maybe visit a service center? Could the repeated uncliping-cliping cycle wear out something or cause damage? At the moment, during the clip engaging there are no noticable visual or touch problems with the screen. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Attached a picture with the areas circled.

I broke my screen a few weeks ago and after purchasing a replacement screen from a third party manufacturer I got it working for a few days. However, today, I was using it earlier and suddenly the screen turned into flickering pixelated lines for a few seconds then it went black. I've tried diassemblign and reassembling it to make sure all the connectors are intact but wasn't able to get it working again. Now I'm stuck in a situation where I don't know if my LCD is faulty or wether it's the LCD connector. How can I figure out what it is and would you happen to know the part number for the LCD connector. Any help would be appreciated.  EDIT: Another thing to note is that I am currently using it on an external monitor and when I go to display settings, it only identifies 1 monitor (the external one). I am not sure if this is indicative of something but maybe it could be useful. EDIT 2: Just discovered that my touch screen is still working. Thank You

Hi there, First time poster, so apologies if I'm not 100% sticking to protocol here! The issue I'm having is one that has been posted about time and again on Lenovo Forums - the screen flickering/blackness of the Yoga 520 (I'm not sure if it's affecting other Yoga systems, too, but certainly the 520). I've had my laptop a couple of months, and from around 2 weeks I have been afflicted with this horrible issue. Essentially, the screen randomly starts flickering like crazy and going black sometimes. This makes the laptop completely unusable until such a time as the machine starts behaving itself again (this can take a longggg time). I have taken a video in case people don't understand the situation, and this doesn't even show the worst of it:https://www.dropbox.com/s/swa41r7u6g4ndot/20180214_173640%20%281%29.mp4?dl=0 When it starts flickering and going black, the system is almost entirely unusable. Sometimes I'm able to get use by scrolling down from the top of a webpage or zooming in. These methods occasionally sedate the screen flickering, but not always. I have tried pretty much every 'solution' that I have seen offered about this issue and have had no luck whatsoever. These include disabling and enabling the touchscreen and graphics drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling these drivers, resetting the whole system, cleaning all caches, doing a static discharge, searching for driver updates, adjusting the brightness, etc, etc. The list goes on and on..... I have one of these.  The screen measures 31 cm wide and 17.3 cm high.  Since I got it I hardly use my desktop for anything but playing music through the larger speakers. Take Care. SliderCrank

Hello all, I have a Yoga 900-13isk that is having screen issues.  The laptop will turn on and the backlight is on.  However, the display will only work if apply pressure on the top of the screen gently.  Does this mean I need a new display?  It would be nice if there was an easier solution than having to spend $350.  I am able to log into my computer and do anything I want, I just have to push down on the top of the screen.

Pretty sure that's a loose cable. If I were you, I'd send that back in with a thumb drive showing this video.  Just got a 920, myself, and it does not exhibit that issue.  This is out-of-the-box without installing anything?
